Satan Thought He Could

Satan Thought He Could

Alas, I have emerged from the depths deep from within,
what seemed “Hell.”
I came out from the darkness,
where Satan himself could not contain thy spirit.

Thy Lord has taken me by thy hand and pulled me out.

Thank you, Lord;
For lifting me from the shadows of the evils containment,
where Satan thought he could keep me.

For thou is but Gods' child,
and I will be in Him, and He is in me, and thou armor is on.
How dare thee, devil,
trying to take thy soul and the trickery that clouded my thoughts.

Thy God is the Almighty and Creator;
of this world and all the planets in His universe.
Our God has even created Lucifer;
Satan, cast out from heaven to the pits of hell.

William, just read this by chance as the title seemed intriguing. Also read the comment below. There are a lot of things that could challenge our survival at times and your faith is admirable. The poem is a wonderful tribute to it. BTW, glad you made it!

Love this William. Satan stands no chance when Christ is with us. Well written, and enjoyed reading. God bless you my friend...

Hello, Michael! Thank you and your kind words here. I'm not sure we had pleasures meeting before, but I'm glad to meet you, though! I was being brought out of a storm, I had to go through. I appreciate your comment and visit, my friend. Always welcome here. Best of Wishes, William
