The One I Know, Is There

The One I Know, Is There

I'll be your good thing,
Someone, that's there for you
Somebody, you can lean on
All day, if you need to.

Friends say they'll be there;
Why tell me the lies from start?
When, you know, you won't be
Being straight up, from the heart.

If you cared for our friendship,
Come out, tell me some truth
I don't want you to feel
That I'm not there for you.

Here's what friends mean to me:
Is that;
I would lay my life down for you.
I'd take that cancer;
That you may be suffering from,
I'd be glad to carry that sickness,
Instead of having to
Watch you die from it, true.

For mine, Savoir;
With what He's done for me
I would die for, Christ Jesus,
Ten thousand deaths, you see.

But, our Lord, our King;
Didn't do it just for me
For He gave His life, profoundly,
For the sake of humanity and sins,
Out of the love of three.

Tell me of any other king;
That would sacrifice 'his own life'
For the sake of his people,
For they live throughout these lands.

I agree that most would not lay down their life for anyone. It takes ability that most people don't have. I enjoyed reading this one. I have sent you soup mail. Sara
