Sounds

And so nothing from the Doctor
Deep where the MRI creates rumpling noise
Clackering sounds
Wonder do they think that my mind is not aware
Of every moment, waiting for what is next

Do I want to go forward wondering what is next
See what the Doctors want to try
In this well known place up in the hill
Away from the ocean breezes
The barking of sea lions

The sounds of cars and other chariots
Moving through the dusk
The sprinkilng sounds of music
What's next as the winds murmur
The weight of it all

The weight I wonder
Its Christmas quiet prayer
Soft sounds
and stillness

It's the not knowing and not being in control that presents problems. I hope all is well as can be with you Linda. Your wonderful poem encapsulates you and your mind caught in a system that takes over. It's heartfelt, real and just a wonderful piece deserving of many more views and comments.. Cheers - Gary
