Respect!!

This blog is my sole opinion of ongoing negative childish behaviour that is happening on P.S. 

Like so many other poets l have observed this behaviour for a long time and said nothing but today was the last straw for me.

POTD is a special accolade for a poet and "their moment" to enjoy recognition, feel good and for others to congratulate them.

You do not always have to agree or like the POTD or the choice….if that is the case say nothing. Or If you would like to discuss the matter with the writer do it via Soupmail or write a blog with respect for others to join in ….”respect” being the key word in the blog! It is important to discuss our thoughts , disagree, share our differences, opinions and beliefs "FREE OF and WITHOUT" sarcasm, passive/aggressive comments, digs at other poets/poems ,attempts to be humorous at the expense of other poets ,belittling rude comments, and continual intervening! It’s selfish , self-centred and childish behaviour which we teach "our children" not to do!   "Respect" for each other is the key! 

The recent POTD was taken over by others in this manner. I am so happy that the Poetry Soup Team stepped in with clarification and support for the POTD poet. I feel disappointed for the POTD recipient and l am sorry your moment was not as it should be! Just try and focus on the kind poets positive comments of Congratulations and ignore the negatives!
