GUARDIAN OF THE NIGHT- POTD

A wild unpredictable stormy night Harsh wind squeals through window panes Random deafening claps of thunder Lightning illuminates the night sky again Disgruntled angry waves crash loudly Heavy rain pounds on the roofs slate tiles Mother nature is enraged tonight Unrelenting , unforgiving , hostile Inside the walls of the old stone cottage A sacred wood fire blazes bright Radiating great warmth and infinite comfort Providing sweet solace as Guardian of the night

Hi Deb, So pleased to see this poem gather in the POTD honor, deservedly so. Great contrast between the menace and chaos let loose outside against the peace and warmth of the fire...holds a message there. Enjoy the recognition my dear friend.

Blimey, Deb. I turn my back for five minutes, and there you are with another POTD. Congrats on that. Has to be said, a blazing wood fire cheers the heart on a stormy night. I know… I used to fish all night… in mid-winter. Congrats again. I’d like to say I’ll be back soon, but circumstance and total brain fog may continue to block my path. :-(

Comfort is found, ' inside the walls of the old stone cottage. ' So thankful to have such moments, when the weather misbehaves. The images you paint are so vivid, my dear friend. Many wonderful blessings to you. Hugs, Brandy
