It is a gift to grow old

Sadly ,so many never get that chance

Taken too young

Their lives merely a glance


It is a gift to grow old

Often taken for granted along the way

To be blessed to live a long life

It is simply a gift….just being able to stay!

It’s a strange thing, Deb; as a kid I would describe myself, now, as old. It’s an awful fact of life that some lives are unfairly curtailed… but no one should feel any guilt for the life gifted to them. I feel no guilt at feeling like I’m thirty, going on forty… that’s just me. I’m not religious but if I were, when a child dies… I’d ask him what his game is. But, I guess you’re right… it’s a gift… cherish it. Terry

While so many around us drop down dead at a young age, we are indeed fortunate to have lived long. A long life with the chance to experience the many wonders of life is indeed a God given blessing. We should be thankful for it. A cute little poem, dear Deb.

It is a privilege and a gift for sure Paula. I think with ageing we tend to get caught up at times with the aches and pain and negativity that comes with ageing and forgetting the gift we have been given! Thankyou sweet Paula….Debx
