My Life

My life is like the sea waves,
That rise and fall continuously,
My life is like the sea waves,
That come to play with me,
My life is like the sea waves,
In whom I drown my sorrows,
My life is like the sea waves,
That live each day for a better tomorrow,
My life is like the sea waves,
That come again and again to see me,
Just to tell me that,
There are many things to come,
And that I should not feel down,
For this is all just a drop in the sea!

Into The First Hours Of Twilight

. The last tint of orange sunset faded into hints of lilacs and blues trailing the depthless paths of a promising horizon On the glistening sand I lay into the first hours of twilight My eyes reverting from early stars to follow soft gentle ripples of playful waves lapping onto the silent shore The scent of salt~ spray and margeuritas wafted in the air 'Neath the moonglow that seperates our lands ...And I thought of you ...Of your last letter Of every pulse of your heartbeat pouring crimson in a cup of rose-petal water Yes,once more I thought of you like I always do And everything was beautiful and everything went still till the trickling drops of crystal dew welcomed dawn.

A Starry Shade of Night

Love forever eludes me perhaps because it flies on angelic wings
And yet my earth bound body is beneath the weight of gravity
Its like following a rainbow to an end I'll never see
Or like chasing the horizon as it falls away from me
Will I ever find that pot of gold and embrace a warm sunset
With my heart on sandy shores beneath a sky I won't forget
To become envious of the moon as it illuminates her face
Gently dancing across her skin as it adorns with utter grace
Then inhale the scent of beauty as her lips press next to mine
As I watch the midnight sky reflect inside her radiant eyes
                and in her starry shade
              Of dim and solitary loveliness
I learn’d the language of another world
That I found deeply within one kiss

Luna's Light

A silver path shimmers
Across the sea and leads
To you lovely Luna lady,
Clustered by Cumulus clouds
And embraced by an indigo sky,
Enchantment emanates
From your glowing eye.

Lovers wrapped in moonbeams
Reflected by the sandy shore
Share kisses in silhouette shadows
In the magic of your rising,
In the soft music of the waves,
In the beating of passionate hearts.

SENSITIVITY

SENSITIVITY

They’re all ignored by us, but they have feelings too :
A black gravestone in New York, down in the world,
Recalling its halcyon days as a part of
The impressive strata at Palisades Park.
The statue in the museum of Androcles and the Lion
Daydreaming - oh, for the good old days just lying sunbaked
On the beach surrounded by
Fossil shells and shrimp at Sables d’ Olonne,
With the feet of the famous resting gently on you.
And the marble fireplace in our living room -
He can still see in his mind’s eye
The Carrara quarries in bygone days…..
Why, some of his great-grand-daddies were
Hacked out of there and taken to Rome for the Via Appia.
Oh yes, stones have feelings too.

My carved ship-of-the-line from Nelson’s navy
With her masts and spars and decks and cabins
Lies awake at night thinking of her days
In the pine forests of Norway; and next to her
This old cedar jewellery box, with intoxicating
Smells of the coast at Prince Rupert
Where she lay on the beach for weeks
Before the saw mill changed her shape and sent her to me.
The new sapele door in our hall spends hours
Wishing for his buddies in the jungles of Uganda
Where the ants would tickle you
Half to death with their constant scurrying
Up and down your branches, building this or that.
Listen closely and he’ll boast that some
of his relatives ended their days as propellers
on German zeppelins, I kid you not.
Everyone has to feel special.

And what about those unassuming steel forks in my drawer
who can still tell stories
Of their days as iron ore in Finland,
And how their brother Ernie became
A bumper on the President’s limo (supposedly).
Or my wife’s copper bracelets with their pathetic tales
Of being shipped from Cyprus
and remelted into ingots in Bimingham.
I have overheard the wings of a 747
Recollecting in the hangars at night
How their existence as bauxite in Jamaica was so idyllic,
“Wit all dat reggae and smokin’ and god knows what, man.”
They too have their memories.
And, man, de smell in dat hangar!

Paradisiacal

Tranquil
the ocean
sun sinks
sky orange-red
with distance
comes moon
each wave
mutes night
circling gulls
waves and air
water and evening
infinite horizon...

Everything
utters night
losing shape
eyes closing
darkness in wind
each wave
the water
sky and moon
go together
with these words
I paint the sky dark...

in the sand

between the grains of sand
all my dreams shattered apart
a cup of my coffee spilled in between
 dissolved between the salty waves
 disappeared
just like a lost dream
between the grains of sand a lost life
so things seem
no matter how hard I hold on
everything from between my fingers slip
just like sand grains
lost between life's sea waves in endless vain
one thing that would remain
that would be pain

THE ANTIPRIGOLIGARCHIST

Can you get my point and drift?
It’s in my free verse and also rhyme.
They say ‘Life’s a beach’
I say, “All the time”
and there’s a beach for everyone, and all!
It accepts incoming the tidal withal.
From flotsam floating of every noxious kind,
Where you will beside the innocent the toxic find,
From grass,to plastic, garbage bags and all,
also the rancid sewers dark outfall,
And I see the littered beach
All covered & disfigured, spit headland and shoaly reach,
Then raised up with rampart fey
 the most humongous tidal wave
And it is definitely and gravely shoreward bound,
Oh dear Lord, have mercy, I say,
For all of those who live nearby, and in the way
in Their lowly shed or fancy high-rise buys,
Already they suffer to live near this
Please avert your catalyst
oh!‘No’ says God, its course will run
its bounds and goals are set
As I set everyone,
Too much for me! my eyes I close
i just won’t look at scenes (that I suppose)
i await the crash! its deafening loud,
and I imagine the chaotic screaming crowd,
I wait ….. I wait….now look I must!
Before cold melts ice and rust becomes dust.
And What! before mine eyes a sight, the beach,
All pure grains of white, (are seen)
against verdant mounds of beryl green
The background sheds and townscape now stand serene;
The wave was a vision of God’s cleansing hour
Wrapt in an instant of unbridled power.
For the antiprigoligarchist was sent,
And the veil of worldly waste was rent.
There also is a literate beach
Where the antiprigoligarchist will also reach.
As antidote for pedantic bias, attention & thought
And scalar vision with true value nought
so with devoid headway misused opportunity
and selfish sway away! and
before the drift becomes a roar, better to
Clear such wasted ways from the literary shore.

The Beach

crisscross clouds
leave unseen tracks

warm sands
ruffle velvet shoals

ocean sprays
release salty tears

fine pebbles
squeeze wrinkled soles

sapphire waves
grind sparkling glass

supple limbs
explore hazy shores

At the beach

At the beach
everything sways and swoons
the palm trees by the sea
grow sleepy with the heat
I'll offer you shade
on this sun burned carpet of sand
as the misty salt kissed wind
crosses the waters from far off horizon...

The Righteousness Of Love

Love is a wonder shared by one another it's the only reason I'm not six feet under Love in which I believe in a will to sustain I give back to life, now in dormant states of pain The power of Love may not alone be enough locked inside my dreams escape only from above higher than any human being has ever gone before I must have evolved rise above hate, great once more My Father taught me wisdom I am imprisoned no longer now an beast not of burden I am no lion, I am stronger on my shoulder sits twin dragons long awaiting the day evil forces come forth to take what Love is left, away A Hero of Love light are what the world needs angels, not demons exist where ever you believe follow your heart's direction and you shall achieve objects of affection rid of materialistic greed My bright energy has awakened to a fire never consuming the source as the flames just grow higher that is the desire of a product we call Love Fear, the counterpart what I was once made of I am slowly learning how to win when my peace is harder to sharpen so I have given my pen leave the sword has its uses I must say I believe to vanquish the evil in the minds too diseased to serve any purpose except their own selfish ones tomorrow a new day in the clarity of the sun where we two are now one and one done now does bring about a great change lit by the righteousness of Love.

Return Of Your King

Reflections of imperfections have shown me a way that I can move mountains through my power of faith even though I can't see him I know he is real through the power of prayer and a Love that I feel It's growing inside me like a flower in bloom shall I reveal my powers or is it too soon I am reading the signs through my darkness I find a reason for belief in the light of mankind that I know shall overcome the greatest of odds the Love I seek amazes me especially through the flaws because now I am inspired through the hero's that bring my throne through the darkness on which I return on as your King.

Sea Glass

Old glass bottles tossed in the sea
Enhanced by years beneath the deep blue
Small chunks or shards paper thin
Root beer brown, forest green
Aquamarine and frosted white ice
Bits and pieces of colored broken glass
Worn by waves, recycled by the sea
Metamorphosis trash to gems

Problem with searching for sea glass
You're hunched over, never looking up
You never real see the coastal view
Afraid you'll miss that one special find

A Day At The Beach

Above me seagulls soar
As I sit upon the sandy shore-
The sound of the ocean's waves calm me
Almost hypnotizing me in its endless body of motion
Children are busy laughing and playing
While making castles in the sand
A gentle breeze blows past
Softly caressing my skin
Stirring emotions deep within
How I wish this day would never end

Where I Live

In a tropical place, the climate
becomes a way of being
Fruits and flowers on shirts and dresses,
breakfasts of bananas.
pineapple flavoured passions
of afternoon,
pathways to the moon on evening seas
coconut milk tipped waves at dawn
palms tilting horizons, gulls gliding
the edge of time

Yet- where I live does not define me

Not like the timeless, Irish dairymen who-
rain or shine- milk cows they
could easily set their clocks by
Here on this perfect stretch of sand-
I am rootless - envious
of those who have never moved
I feel puppetized by modern life
A little schitzoid - liking where I am,
hearing the voices, while
a part of me pines
for pastoral beginnings.

Daybreak

I wake on the sand
Right near the beach
You have yet to awake
Far out of reach
And Daybreak has arrived
A beauty unlike any other
Comparable only to us, girl
And how we love each other

So I gaze up alone
Marveling up at the sky
The warmth of the sun
Drying my eyes
I'm reflecting on us
Oh how each other we trust
I'm just so happy we're together
And I think to myself,
Just as this sun, we'll last forever

Then returning to be with you
I lay again now
Place my hand gently
On your warm tender shoulder
While I think of our lives today, love
And how they'll be when we're older...
I know there'd be no other way
So "I Love You" I make sure I say
To you, each and everyday

BLUE

Do you know what's haunting?
Losing someone and hearing their name, voice, or you hear something that reminds you of them
And you go blue. A dark blue, but a beautiful blue because that's the best kind of haunting
A beautiful haunting its something you can love so much but hate even more.
It's rather sweet thinking of someone so much
It's rather real.

Night on a Beach

Blow into me and I bellow
a tune soft and mellow
like air through an empty beer bottle
thrown haphazardly onto a dusty shore
one sticky summer night.
I, my contents consumed,
lie hollow like the sea shells.
I lay here a shell of what I should have been.
Touch me and I'll shatter like glass
but I long to feel so I touch myself.
I fill the space between what I am and what I want to be
with yesterday's leftovers
and thoughts of unavailable men
lying beside me in the sand.

Heart of the Sea

Crashing of the waves
Slamming against each other,
As the moon lights up the darkness
In the distance.
Your thoughts are carried away
Into the Heart of the Sea.
Secrets to be held
Only to be found if searched for.
Lying across the ocean floor
Like treasures and sadness bound together.

The Glass Goddess

All around me
Great cities made of sand.
Green sky scrapers poke through the ground
To thrive in life’s strict conditions
And melt away with the tide…

Great houses made of cards
Form lines, and tightrope walk existence,
Knowing that any moment, the wrong brick may fall
And buckle our world to its knees
As Mother Earth shouts Jenga! from the sidelines.

So while were here
We dance with the Glass Goddess
Poised miles above reality,
Leaping over the heavens on our domino stilts-

We floor it in the sky
Living death in the fast lane,
Seizing the day
Because any moment
We could disappear
Into

Fun in the Sun

Flesh on show and sun tan lotion
bodies laid on towels or sun lounges
By the ocean
Salty air wind blown hair
Music streaming from the near by fair
Baby screaming nappies full
Cool guys looking for babes on the pull
Sun shades and floppy hats
Grown men playing cricket with ball and bats
Sand castles and buckets and spades
Candy floss and lemonade
Father With binoculars pretending to look out to sea
Or read a newspaper but really looking at the bathing beauties
Bikinis and manknies G strings tight where the sun don't shine
Hot dogs and hamburgers the popping of corks from bottles of wine
Hairy legs and wrinkled skin
child almost drowning couldn't swim
Muscle bound Life guards with muscles to impress
Granma lost her false teeth
Dropped between her breasts
Ice creams and summer dreams
Young child peeing in the sea
Among the swimmers splashing about with glee
People playing beach ball and football
Mother calls come on all it's time for tea
Large Busty woman running like jelly on a plate
Wobble wobble
And nearly starting an earthquake
Sand between your toes
Sun burn on your nose
Sweaty arm pits sweaty bums
Toffee apples and bleeding gums
Sea gulls flying screeching high above
Clear blue sky pure white dove
Watching the frothy waves stretch upon the shore
Watching the horizon and tiny boats 10 miles away or more
Dogs running here and there
Sweets being passed around to share
Crabs and shrimps and other critters in a rocky pool
Children with fishing nets and jars to take them back to school
Para gliders pulled by speed boats high in the sky
Oh why do people want to risk life
As they could die
Postcards to write people on there bikes
The smell of fish and chips
Children with jam around their lips
Couples walking hand in hand barefoot on warm sand
Treasured memories and photo's to cherish
Suitcases packed feeling unwound and relaxed
Can't wait until next year when they come back.

The Beach

What a magical place, the beach.
Where there is no need to sing and no need to look back to the regrets of each day.
Where we can silently listen to what it is the waves try to tell
Where the rocks serve as the cushion where we softly lay down each painful
memory, that even though they hurt we want to protect.
Where the past becomes jealous of the present.
Where we patiently await for the waves to carry away the message in a bottle to some
safe and nonexistent destination.

Yes, the beach, where the cool breeze caresses the stress and sadness off our faces
Where crying in the rain is over-rated
Where every tear drowns a memory
And the waves crash against the rocks as if beating an odd

Where there is no need to sing, do you hear the wind? Do you understand its melody?
Can you feel its strength undressing every inch of every scar time has tattooed in our
lives?
The beach and its wide space where you can hear the eco of your silence screaming into
the air whatever it is that makes you silently cry.
Where every ray of sun burns the unnecessary and painful thoughts that float into space.
Yes, the beach where the silence is invaded by the splendid rudeness of the wind
Where you can build a castle in the sand, be the queen/king, and rule the world.
Where we can freely unleashed the Black Stallion inside our spirits that we are forced to
imprison.
Where you see the future shine in the polychromatic coral reefs.
Where salt taste so sweet.
The beach where 5:00 A.M. is the precise time to live for an eternity and 6:00pm the
precise time to leave it all behind and start all over again.

Butterfly Beach

so this is where butterflies go to die
atop this burning ochre beach
amidst the palomino stones
party streamers
chinook bones.
Chrysalis flutes swaying
beyond dunes, blue and gray
under a plush velvet shroud
they fold their powdery dreams
awaiting the pouty pallbearer tide
toting emerald caskets, silver lined

KEEP YOU POSTED

KEEP YOU POSTED

Getting back on my feet again
Show me the end, show me the end
Give me a road to follow
I will throw you a passage or two

Get yourself right, get out my face
I need a new way, I need a new way
An easy way to start my day
All though I can't get enough of you
There are times you are in my way

Our hearts don't beat as one
Call me a fool,
I set my foot down
I keep you as my friends, no rules

Tomorrow will be another day
Do not give in to me
We are still both fish in the sea
Stuffy stuff, you got me at suffocate
We do not relate
Still I love you

How else can this be fetched out
If I reel you in, sometimes I need you my friend
Stop putting yourself in doubt
This has no end

Don't get yourself all worked out
It will be me and you, a sweet walk on the beach
I see nothing wrong in deceiving you
I'm so funny, I'll have you sticking around like a leech

How many times do I have to push and shove
My feeling are troubled, but in love
Until then my love,
I will keep you posted

Come Walk with Me

Come walk with me
Down to the beach
Bare feet on sand
Let me take your hand
My fingers in yours
We know that feeling

Walking on the beach
Sun gazing on our skin
Waves rushing to shore
Chasing our steps
Sand sinking beneath feet
Water mixed with sand
Gushes in footprints
We leave behind

It’s never the same
Strolling on sand
Sand always evolving
Continually revolving
So come with me

Down to the beach
Once again
Hand in hand
Bare feet on the sand
Let us do it ....
Again and again

The Island And The Sea

I am an island You are the endless sea From behind the dusky moon side you gently come to me You come to me so slowly You move upon my shores You explore my pearl`d silk dunes and make me wholly yours I give you all I am the billow and the breeze the high~steep hills the sun~kissed meadows rocky paths and tropic leaves You give me all you are On your froth,I tread my dreams With light ripples you seduce me and harp music of sirens With the low sound of your lapping waves you lull me into sleep So tenderly, you brush my solitude as nocturnal wafts cover my feet I am an island You are the restless sea Ever young, ever strong willing, and determined your tides protecting me With million shades of crystal blue your waters come to me to quench my earthly passion and fiery flames set free I am an island You are the endless sea As long as I am an island You will always come to me

I Fall in Love

I fall in love with broken daffodils, bent daisies,
with the touch of your cheek to mine.
Every time I see the sunset during work breaks
it makes me smile because today I have something to live for.

I fall in love with graying hair and age lines,
with low tides and the days that my feet reach the coast;
your hazelnut eyes and mud hands that make me look so silver.

I fall in love with broken souls, and bent perspectives,
with a caterpillars slow crawl and my mother’s sweet mercy.
You found a gold quarter today.
So ecstatic you were to see rarity.
I fall in love with chemistry, infrequency,
the way you move so softly.
Every time the worm disappears,
I pray its going home.

I fall in love with angles, geometry,
white noise, and curves.
You drew today,
the world as you see it,
cupping the wrists of the continents with your palm indentations.
You said to me, “I can save them.”

I fall in love with bright lights at dusk, cold rooms, and warm blankets,
with wind storms, and how the thunder calls back the lightening.
Every time I see you,
see this,
I fall in love.

Never So Gracious

A full moon night to my delight what is so wrong with doing what's right nothing is right after so long no use in complaining time to move on The Dream Water one day might take me away farther from the comfort of familiarity I float on my back then shut my eyes my body now sinking into ocean arms open wide Now swallow your son back to his nature when he is no longer needed to stay here the next generation are dooming themselves they need my experience to guide them through hell Why should I bother on my own, I strive through I turn my back on the thought of bothering to save you alone in this world my, is it spacious I'm finally smiling, never so gracious.

The Magik Of Love

Reflections in the mirror were getting scary I could not carry the weight of my pain it almost took my life to learn to love again for I have made a friend somewhere along my long lost way I hope that I helped him just a fraction of how he helped me maybe that single thought is what finally gave me my peace enough to release so much stolen energy Now I am not afraid to walk where the streets are hot for I thrive in Hell's kitchen where the devil stirs my pot for I now have him quiet tame I sacrificed my dragons at the alter of my name and now you are my slaves any time I need I'll call upon my superhero's to come and rescue me like my Saint Toni who swept me off that bridge and showed my how a death can be the greatest reason to live for she was the seed to grow my Eden then a man from a foreign land gave me something in myself to believe in the magik of Love.

Summer is lemonade

Summer is a lemonade

Summer breeze blowing the grass around
with a warm sun kissing my face
blue skies wrap and hug me
as I watch the butterflies race.
Summer gives me lazy days
coloured flowers and dancing trees
smell of charcoal and starry nights
brings back childhood memories.
Summer is an endless beach
sun cream, bikinis and beer
salty seaspray, fish and chips
postcards saying "wish you were here".
sunburnt shoulders and fun fares
laughter never seemed to fade
grab the ice and share around
yes Summer is a lemonade

The Butterfly Flutters By

The butterfly flutters by—
It’s the symbol of our Company.
That logo’s on my bus so high,
Where clients ride so comfortably.
That noted fluttering butterfly
Is a noble Pacific Monarch;
You can sometimes see it cruising by
The Monterey Peninsula, light or dark.
You’ll see my bus parked by fine hotels,
Classy wineries, the Monterey Aquarium,
Beneath the Carmel Mission bells,
Or in Pebble for the A. T. and T. Pro-Am.
The butterfly flutters by—
And in case you didn’t know it,
The driver that waves as he flies by
Also happens to be this poet.*

Why Does the Shore Love the Sea

Why does the shore love the sea?
Giving, always giving...
He lets himself be struck
By the sea in her rage
And will still hold her
As the storm abates-
Why?

My lover says it's because
When they are together,
The world is complete

Barefoot Dream

Barefoot Dream ©

A pair of slippers dance along
the surf line, dank chill seeps into
supple leather

Laughter and joy stream out
across the endless waves, a
day’s freedom from society’s
strictures

Stripped of sock and slip’r
toes clinch and let loose the
sandy floor as it shifts and moves
as in a dance, vanishing under
her foot

Dancing on the heads of
ancient warriors, lost sailors,
drown’d lovers

Foamy wet tickles the ankles,
grains rasp and scrape a
hardened heel

Cleansed in the salty froth, tiny
secreted bones ache with
numbing cold

Sodden cotton slaps the calves
A drenched, forever sound as
the grasp of death’s hand brings
her down…

down, down into the blue-black
arms of the cold sea

The Green River

She slips from the sleeping ice.
Green, fresh, free to flow
through the great fjord.
Past the blue mountains.

She glides smoothly
over the rocks with glee,
covering them with her cool touch.
Tall evergreens cheer her on.
Waving as she courses down her chosen path,
carrying life.

All the while never tiring!
Surging forward to join the others like her.
This vast journey ,
will not end till she reaches
The Great Shores.

Her journey is joyful.
Touching all on her banks,
leaving the gift of life in her wake.

Peaceful

The setting sun
glowed with amber
timbers
As it sank behind
the warm tidal
waters
It's silence
compared to the
timeless rhythm
Of the waves as they
lap relentlessly
upon shore
A soft rustle
lullabies you into a
 hypnotic trance
Only to be broken by
a sea gulls cry
Not a breeze stirs
as peaceful silence
consumes
Invading the depth
of your soul.

The Maker Of Miracles

I am the maker of miracles a real spiritual man waltzing through shadows as they pull me back in I know I must escape them any way I can I know the way out like the back of my hand It's just me and the maker together, he and I I told you God is in me you just thought I was high talking with the Zeta's they tell me just why everything has an ending and the old me, must die I'm Calm as a bomb in the eyes of a storm they stare upon me as if I've been warned turn me inside out as a goodness is born I wear my battle scars so stars know I'm war torn When the gift of life is freed from inside the fire starts fading then the anger subsides like the great phoenix, I go back in time a miracle is born and now that I'm revived in my new life, I shine.

Winter Beach

After the rain,
the speckled glint of shimmering sand
is now muddy brown.
Like a blind, closed tight on the warmth of summer,
the winter beach has shrunken in,
changing the colours of my day into
a darker palette, shades of grey.
The sun shriveled
pale faced and worn
as the cold season begins.

Seagulls a beacon
against a slate November sky
their sound, comfort to a lonely beach.
The steps down to the water, pea green,
slimy weed on stone
bright against an ink-rippled tide.

Seaweed colours bleed into my mind while
textures playfully mingle.
The salt air stings my nostrils
caresses my lungs with wellness.
Sea sounds carry from the shores of Wales
as I crunch the length of the ebbing milk tide.

I look to the horizon and imagine another me
walking a beach somewhere over there,
listening to my thoughts,
as they channel the sea
Grateful for this beauty, the gift of the nature
I look over my shoulder, my footprints remain
solid, as in a freshly cemented path
their sound, echoes in the shells.

The Strand

This expanse of land has seen things.
Things all of us can only see in dreams.
It's seen war, it's gotten it's fair share of scars.
Bombs bursting, bullets throwing sand into the air like it's a volleyball tournament.
The sand running red with blood silently mocking our arteries.

This magnificent stretch of land has seen heroes' tears fall; dropping to their knees while sadness envelopes their fallen brothers but also looking up to their beloved whilst carrying a ring in their hand.

It's seen bright days, the sun glimmering over wet sand, footprints of past loves being washed away as the sun smacks the horizon.

This expanse of land...has seen things we can only imagine.

RISING SUN

Peeping eye,
Out of the dreams,
The streams,
The reflections,
Of a calm night,
Beautiful sight,
Shine again,
Brighten the shore,
Deep to the core,
And bring out,
The inner light,
Of life,
Beautiful bright,
Kissing the sea,
Make us see,
A new day,
Through your eyes.

THE BIG BLUE

Mid-summer breezes bellow a
Whistling tune,
Echoing soft melodies freedom's,
 Playful abandonment.
Against sandy shores waves gently,
 Splashing,
Multicolored shells mixing amongst,
 Pebbles,
 Rolling'n'turning hear the everlasting,
 Hush.
Gliding torrents dive through rough,
 Surf,
Greedily seagulls screeching,
Screaming who was here first.
Snappy crabs running to and fro,
Tasty morsels at a fleeing feast.
Then suddenly captured, dragged by,
Watery under toes.
Rippling calmness returns at last,
Basking in days repast.
Day break's glow warms mans soul,
And awakens his heart.
Yet nay know mortal's eye can deny,
Such beauty that lies before him.
Tranquility's slumber lie thee down,
Gently rock me by the sounds of
The sounding sea.
Release thus abandonment’s spirit,
Foam unto spray washes all my,
Troubles away.
Here at night's curtain fall,
While stars above shimmer
And shine.
Another morning sunrise appears,
But quietly I know longer remain.
Silence can become a bitter sweet,
 Thing,
Just once more to hear distant
Loons calling sorrows cry,
But nothing except silences,
Response,
Answers to me in still calm.

Suncream

Walk in the sunshine Sweetheart
Feel it warm up your clothes
Close your eyes and picture you
With sun cream on your nose
On some idyllic island
With feet on golden sand
And someone special close to you
Holding your soft hand
And once that image is in there
It will never go away
You only have to close your eyes
To make the rain clouds stay at bay

California Dreams

Life relapse and develops new memories and experiences sighted through brown eyes
Miles of driving, walking. Thousands of laughters, a few bad habits, a gorgeous dream for an addict
Later in life finally files success, the prism adjusts, the same sun ray reflects
After a few years of a psychological interpretation which people know god as capable of, ends up all a misunderstanding
Maybe someday you'll read my books of insanity
And the signature I left under this writing with my very last breath inside of me
Because Im now free pieces of ashes in the ocean living my Californian dream, cleaning myself in the tides salt of oceanic health, being the creme that fizzes the sand at your feet
In reality, I never made it with you;
When you think honey, long nights of cuddling, sun rays on a beach I've never seen, take some pictures for me
And my Californian dream will follow you until you figure out the key, honey.
The world without one woman's smile would mean, id never created the Californian dream;
Id of never lived it, even by the death of me
I'd of never known sweet honey and beer is one hell of a mixture
And sometimes when you think only the walls are watching
You need to talk lower, maybe even whisper.
The world without one woman, one less journey, and a million less thoughts is one less dream.
If I live the world without one woman, ill never meet the climax of my Californian dream.

Ocean Blue

The ocean is so alluring it calls out to you in a
way you can't re sit and you don't want too.
It draws many to it's beach side where many walk
bare foot in it's warm sand and stand letting the
waves splash across them.
Children building sand castles, the sea gulls flies
high over head in the cloud less sky, bodies of
different shapes and sizes lines it shore, many with
sun umbrellas, beach towels, laying in the
warm sun getting a suntan, bodies as far as the eyes
can see.

The ocean is where many go to watch the sun rises, the
sun sets, lovers walking hand in hand on the warm summer
sand beneath their feet, kissing, hugging, laughing, running
just having fun.
Night time comes way to quickly for many but many stay
and watch the sun set and the moon raising high in the clear
dark sky above it's light shinning down on the water making
it look like a shinning gleaming diamond, and like glass that
could break any second.

Show me who you are and i shall paint out broken columns on the valleys of her back as if such figure is un-common
i have found no beauty bending as the vines that are her hair and the frailty of man upon her back is what she bares
bleed her body for the harvest let them feast upon her soul for the nurishment of mother is leaps beyond so bold
she is like the flower growing in the deepest of dark forests, amongst the ivy and hemlock but her skin is much too porous
to concern herself with games that tantalize the men, as they marry on crusade it is her children that she tends
sheath your swords with her ambition and tip your arrows with her will, craft your armour from her strength and in the battle you will kill
come now children from the pasture and lay each upon her side, suckle gently at your mother although theirs pain she does not hide
though the water leaks from rooftops her leaves are thick and block the rain, as the water level rises cling to her branches with no shame
she is the stone upon the beach, once a mountain pound and breached
yet still her disposition clear to love her children that are near

Reflection Of A Limetree Beach Paradise

I see the image of a white sandy beach,
Caressing the beautiful blue green water.

The tall palm trees randomly rooted along the shore,
Protecting all who walk there, keeping them cool on a warm day.

The cabanas on the beach, excellent shelter from the rays of the sun,
The white sand with the many shells along the walkway.

The beach volleyball court nearby where friendly games are played,
A walk to the elegant condominiums and swimming pool.

A refreshing and pleasurable swim in the exquisite swimming pool,
White and green tables and chairs by the pool side.

Lounge chairs where you can sit and view the beautiful paradise,
Perhaps read your favorite book or novel, reflection of a Limetree beach paradise.

Hidden

He saw something in her eyes.
And he couldn't help but devour the deep desire
to get a peak of her soul.
Because of all the pain, she boarded up her inner most being
and put a lock on it;
So that no man could see how empty she had become.
INDEPENDENCE; she wore across her chest,
making it known to all man kind that she'd rather be stripped down to
the lowest she could possibly be before asking for any handouts.
Many men knocked at her door, but she refused one after the other.

... He continued to pursue her.
And although she made it impossible for any emotion to show,
he studied her.
She reminded him of the waves in the ocean.
Rushing forward to give just the slightest feel of the coldness,
almost cold enough to bring chills down your spine.
The coldness wasn't the problem, it crept through the cracks of your toes
and became quite soothing as it pushed up to your ankles.
The problem was that as the waves crept up, it became both torture and pleasure.
Because as soon as you began to really feel the warmth,
the wave is pushed back back out; a continuous tease.
And although he only got glimpses of who she was,
he stuck those memories together creating a masterpiece of who
he believed the woman she could become.

A delicious day

Sifting warm sand
through my fingers
lustrous fine grains
glitter my palm.
Soothed
by the soft powdery touch,
I sit for a while
under the rocks
My bare feet
swirl patterns in the sand
as I idly watch
a beach life unfold

Bustling mother’s set up home
on plaid blankets
colourful beach bags
thick with togs and towels
Buckets, spades
strewn all around
a picnic stored carefully
under a shady umbrella,
they gather the children
skip giddy with glee
slapping sunscreen
on lithe limbs
with index finger
warnings
of do's and don'ts.

My gaze drifts to
little pink sisters,
their chubby faces
alive with imagination
as nimble bodies
straddle the sand,
all wrapped up
in mounds of castles
studding their dreams
with pearly shells
and whispering tales
of pretty princesses.

At the water’s edge
long legs prancing
tip toeing warmth
into the chilly sea
up to their waists in
crested waves
dipping and diving,
an ocean of laughter
as young lads play
splashing and yelling
a ball in the air
they plunge.

Picking up my sandals,
I walk up the beach
under the bridge
past crimson valerian
It’s balmy perfume
scenting a delicious day

Beach

On the sunshine coast
the waving tides, sending
the gestures of sweet love
cool breeze manifested into a beautiful girl
blows a kiss on the cheek
the wide ocean infront bestowed peace
to this unrest mind.
swinging the heart in infinite thoughts.
Infinitesimally small seems
the worries of the world.
By the whispers of the wind
the silence was broken.
sand in my hand slipping
reminds me of the late hour
sluggish mind speaks
why should I ever leave this place?
ever can I find this heaven on earth
I promised myself I will be back
and walked back home
on the sandy beach, slow.

Water

The water.
It ripples and waves.
Its soothing to the touch and it runs over your body like an invisible blanket.
When life is too much to take I run to the water.
I've thought about lost loved ones over the view of the ocean.
As the waves ran over my toes and pulled back it was as if God was telling me I'm here.
I see your pain. I see your passion. In time I will wash them away.
When it rains, it stirs something inside of my heart. I know that as this storm shall pass, so will the trials of life.
The pain will be washed away. All will grow new again.
Pain is water.
Joy is water.
Life it water.
Water is beauty.

A Beach Menagerie

A Beach Menagerie

At daybreak, I approach the beach
across a soft hill  of clover,
past sleeping pandanus,
and down a small sand dune.
I am enveloped by seawind.

I look up to a flight of swallows,
symbol of returning.
They occupy the airspace of seagulls.
A kookaburra laughs,
somewhere to land-ward.

A malamute puffs up alongside me,
pulling a lady along, on a long leash.
If she had a small sled, she could mush,
on this perfect white beach.

Tall lady pines, line the shores,
their skirts just out of reach
of sea water.

Seagulls sit in small conventions,
pecking free donuts, and
line up for cups of coffee.
I imagine their grey wings,
tucked through Aloha  shirts.
A  German shepherd lopes, wolf-like
scatters them; they swoop out to sea, laughing.
They'll be telling the folks back home
of  their close call.

Now the sun's rays
have reached the high rises,
awakening diamond fires,
from glass windows.

on the horizon, sunbeams
reach down in straight lines,
like sun-pictures
from a  child's storybook.

My step quickens,
as I climb the woodennbeach ramp,
back to the street,
alive, for what my day holds.

Running Into The End Of Time

Running from the end of time just me, my thoughts, my voice and I now turn, in paralysis, by fear to see whats under that dark figure what I saw, Words can never define I stood there wided eyed, jaw dropped in awe at the end of time just as the sudden, terminal sun dying from the same cancer in everyone the great lord, so sick of his design now comes in full vengence into the end of time...

Tsunami

Blazing hot sweats rolled down my back,
A cloudless sky was at reach from my palm’s view,
My eyes centered on the sun as it stood above my head.
Summer’s end sneaked around the corner,
But its endless heat
Fooled me to think it would never cease.

Milky sand grains covered my toes,
Beach balls rolled back n’ forth,
Children’s castle were made and later destroyed,
Clear waters waved in my thoughts.
It was suppose to be a beautiful day
And until that moment, indeed it was.

The moment the earth shook,
Loud voices suddenly began to rise
And Footsteps tumbled the ground,
I looked around
Right, left, up, down,
Where had the commotion come from?

The sun blinded me from the truth,
When the photons in my eyes reassembled the image,
A shock traveled to my heart
Making it pump furiously in my chest.

A desert ahead of me laid,
Content faces had ran from my presence,
The air dragged my body forward,
The ocean rapidly seemed to disappear.
I looked upon the never ending horizon
And its line had ascended greatly.

In that moment,
I refused to run like all the others,
I refused to avoid its magnificent moves.
The winds pushed me backwards with a tremendous force,
Sprinkles of icy water splashed against my skin,
A great calamity I was bound to face.

Shadows covered the surface of my dread,
An enormous wall of wetness surrounded me.
And with a blink, I was no longer visible to the eyes of men,
Not even God could spot me from the heavens above.

I gasped for air in the salty waters of the ocean,
But there was none to be found,
And with that last thought in mind
I drowned myself in its eternal beauty.

Remember

Do you remember
how the stars shine
above the crystal line
of the horizon
on the darkened Earthly sea?

How the sands whispered
and the birds whistled
as we drifted off
into the sea?

How the waves
clashed against the boat
and we were barely afloat?

How we awoke on
a distant shore…

Do you remember?

The Lady Flies from The Ocean to Return a River

    In her slippery salmon swim
    And red streaked Crawdads chute
    Into her eddying pools
To stare at her from beneath rocks.
    Whitewater rapids challenge men
To stand against her torrential frame
And face her, screaming out in pain
    Torturous centuries of ecstatic rain
    To be her solitary stone
To stand against her all alone
A true man to soften her cold soul.
And who’ll be her Reigning Lord
    Echo her insanity
To lover her shade and slippery slopes
    Crevices’ waiting, sharp inclines.
Once a current in the sea
So filled with green and mystery
To her a man did rarely come
Then, pulled up by curious shapes
Like lambs, in white puffs she flew
And traced her shadow cross the land
Till the puffs released her soul
In little flakes, gentle and slow
For a time entombed in frozen snow.

There men saw her as a sprite
Reflected in her cage of white
Men chased her form of watery light
In dreams that came hard in the night
Her body lucid, long and lean
A cold corpse, frozen to the earth
Blue hair, bent arm, frozen knee
The sun took pity, broke the back
Of the ice block and set her free
    So through high mountains, cliffs
    And rocks she trickled
In a gathering streams, in rivulets
    Of tears, mouths open
Her bosomed skin slipped as ice
Pain built up the rage within
And sorrow brought it to the light.
Green – the color of fast and deep
White – the foam that came in waves
Along the long and joyous vein
    She spreads her long body
Knee bent, her heavy breasts pinned
    Blasted, rippled by the wind
She’s touched only by old earth’s hand
Its gravity like a naked man
    Basking in her pools
Her faces and belly ghosting him, a mirror.

Watch her through the thickening trees
Her body sliding toward the sea
A torturous rape, a rapid ride
For all who’ve hung upon her side
Hearts pound, as she shrieks and sighs
With each down stroke a demon dies
Within the man who’s bourn the pain
    Endured her crushing fingers round
Who’s felt the pound of her breasts soft
Been beaten by her to the blood
And awaits for centuries her cold flood.

My Dream

Jesus, you are my Dream come true. Everything I've ever wanted has come
to me from you.

You came down from your Heavenly throne, making sure
that I understand that I'm never alone.

You made yourself become flesh as I,in order for you to understand the reasons that I cry.

It's hard for me to imagine my life without you, for all your many miracles and the awesome things you do.

You chose me, when I knew nothing about you, what an amazing love I feel that came to me from you.

You have been to me exactly what you said you would be, you simply came and gave your blood that I can go free.

I can't think of anything that will pay for what you've done, But I give you Glory and Praise for my life's victory you've won.

Truth be told I am nothing without you, for any success in my life is not of me but you.

Thank you for being the hidden man of my heart and giving me your spirit so from you, I'll never part.

My life is Grand, cause you are the man, that made me understand, that it is by your hand, that I am kept and.... so when I dream, I dream of you and all the Beautiful things that having you will do.

For you are my beginning, my middle, and my end. I Thank you very much for making us a team, and I thank you even more for becoming my dream.

On Being Turtle

           On Being Turtle

There are no more turtles on turtle beach
They are all dead
We can reach them by being turtle
Be hard outside
Build a shell then look inside
Push with inclinations to be soft and old
Feel sleep as only turtle’s sleep
Look nowhere else
Decline to answer any calls
Leave home and all behind
Become the turtle in his shell
Then
Move in before the tide goes out

A Blue Boy's Death Wish

A fragile mind breaks
Wake upon the rock laden shores
A muffled heart begs to echo
Whispers lost among a velvet chamber

Dusk comes premature time and again
Dropping the curtain on an optimistic sunrise
If you never witness dawn
There is no tomorrow

Always the dreamer aches
Never awake to make real what he desires
The restless corpse walks blind
Dead ends seem fitting for one of the kind

Lost in the labyrinth of strangling vines
Love is the motive and the weapon
Taking root in throats dry from weeping
Sprouts of amnesia in place of smiles
A garden called heartbreak holds onlookers captive
The comfort takes hold, sets in the bones weary of searching
A plea for rest lands on deaf ears

The hollow boy tires of himself
The last request he will ever make
"End me"
Lost and tired
He wishes to be weak no more

Sea Haven Delight

Our beach house,
Just for a week,
A week that goes so slow,
But way too fast,
A week of no responsibilities,
One week of no worries or cares,
Of laying in the sun,
Of playing in the surf,
A week of peace,
At the Outer Banks,
With my Dad's side of the family,
Not as close to the beach as previous years,
But a beautiful house,
Too big in my eyes,
But large enough for fifteen people,
Warm southern sun makes me want to stay,
A cool breeze off the ocean is perfect,
There is no place in the world that I'd rather be right now.

Chaos

tainted smile
mishaping your identity
as you carry on
day by day
with a masking smile-
unprententious
real
without a reason to feel down.
All confidence stripped,
while the waves crash at shore
and the untrimmed grass still growing-
to remind you that life goes on.
Time is still-
frozen
you endure everyday with a level head
afraid not what of was
but afraid what will become-
become of you
become of all else
it's THAT fear that grasps your arm.
Clenching so tight that the nails puncture through your skin
a painful setback
only one you feel yourself.
Seagulls drop clams,
they fall helplessly onto the rocks
and their beaks scoop them up
after they're broken, empty
fallen apart-
a mirror image of your own life
your own dignity
your own strength
it's only too late before you capture reality-
a grip too tight on a slippery surface
you wait
anticipating serenity
that place where the teal ocean ripples onto the shore
instead of the crashing white caps that drown the neighbours child-
where sharks are tame
and time is suspended
an oasis
far away
to a place you long for
to hide away-
where all questions are answered
and fears are conquered
a heaven on earth

or so to say

Portal to the South

I miss you, already
Your rough beauty
How you pretend to be wild
Being already postmodern.
The swings in your mood
Welcoming and repelling me,
Caressing me, bringing me down.
Your invitations to dive into sins
Gluttony, sloth, lust and death -
When in fact, you were bringing me back to life.

A part of me is kept with you
Taken by the roar and fury of your waters
Against the Moles
Against your basalt towers.
Kept in the flight of the lapwings,
Of the swallows
In the height of your trees
In the stones on the corner of the beach of Cal
In the shyness and candor of your people
In the insensitiveness of your guests
In the sincere passion of one of your sons
With pearly blue marbles for eyes
Who never tires of telling about your beauties
Remains with you, a piece of me
Stuck in the whistle of these very waters
When they calm down
Washing the sands
Shaking the mussels
Shhh ... shhh ... shhh ... shhh
One day I will come back to see you, Torres
And make myself whole again.

Torres is the first city of Rio Grande do Sul State, the most southern state of Brazil. I've fallen in love with it.

Dream with me

foggy skies
a gentle rain falls down from heaven
birds sing a lullaby and animals sleep in their dens
it is a balmy day in paradise
through the green-filled woods
and past the murky swamp
around the tall oak tree
and into the cool pool of water
mysteries lie beneath it's gently churning waves
things grow and live in underwater caves
a community it hosts
an internet of animals
along the salty coasts
join me on a stroll through my glorious isle
where jackals dance and sloths loll
walk with me through the forbidden shadows
sit with me under the canopy of tall trees
enjoy the beauty of this mysterious place
before you have to leave
already the sun calls you
you slowly open your eyes
and leave your paradise
instantly forgotten
as you look out at the morning skies

When the tide goes out your day at the beach is over.
When the tide goes out all the shells on the sea bottom are uncovered, glistening in the
fading sunlight like jewels.
When the tide goes out and you are gone, all the birds land on your sand castle and it
collapses under them, scaring them to the next castle down the beach, till all that's left are
piles of sand, for the fading tide to carry away.
When the tide goes out all the sea snails and hermit crabs come out for a breath of fresh air.
When the tide goes out you get to see the coral and moss-covered rocks, drying and
hardening in the unwanted air.
When the tide goes out the beauty of the beach is uncovered, yet most of us aren't there to
see it.
When the tide goes out.

Homesick

There's this girl that I know who misses her home
The place filled with laughter, her joy, and her hope.
This girl, she is sad, and I've seen her heart break.
She just doesn't belong here, and she doesn't want to stay.

When she's at the beach she just sits and she stares
Across the water to who knows where.
The ocean is the one place she has found on this Earth
That fills her with any kind of peace and hope.
Though still she is sad, she's not where she belongs,
But at least at the ocean the fierce homesickness calms.

She'll walk down the beach and look out at the water,
Totally uncaring of those who might watch her.
She knows she's not normal, that she isn't like them.
But she knows that they cold never understand.

This girl that I speak of, how I know her well. Yet at the same time I hardly know her at all.
It seems to me as I walk down that beach that
I'm never gonna know of who I truly speak.
Because as long as I'm here, so far from my home, my heart, my pain there, my hope,
I am only half here.
I am only half home.
And all that I want....I just want to go home.

A Diamond Afternoon

Summer Beach

Sifting warm sand
through my fingers
lustrous fine grains
glitter my palm.
Soothed by
the soft powdery touch,
I sit for a while
under the rocks,
my bare feet
swirl patterns in the sand
as I watch
a beach life unfold.

Bustling mothers
set up home
on plaid blankets
colourful beach bags
spilling with towels
buckets, spades
strewn all around,
a picnic stored
under an umbrella,
children gathered
skip giddy with glee,
scent of sunscreen
on lily white limbs.

My gaze drifts to
little pink sisters,
chubby faces
bubbling with desire.
Nimble bodies
straggle the sand,
wrapped in a world
of castles and dreams.
They stud mounds
with pearly shells
whispering stories
of princes
and princesses.

At the water’s edge
long legs prancing
tiptoeing warmth
into an icy sea.
Lads
splash and play,
high jumping the waves.
Ball punched into the air,
hands outstretched
grappling madly,
they plunge
in an explosion
of salty laughter.

Strolling the tide line,
bare feet on wet sand,
I bask for a moment
beneath a honey sun,
life sparkling
on a diamond afternoon.

The Pier by the sea

The sound of the sea
so close to my door
a blue feeling in my fingers
my spirit is not so blue...

Our walks on the pier
where I am born eternal
the entire color aurora
awakens the sea and you...

Love swim so close to me
madness love me on this shipwreck
the oars and port is breaking
If only I had a boat...

Floating seagulls for an instant would stop
and shout my voice
in such a jovial churn
a simple duel mystery...

Duel of music in the air
the open magnolia of your kisses
dresses the waves of passion
with the passionate view of distant sailboats...

The entire aurora
awakens the sea in you
stretched in a dream
the gulls carry to my hands

Leaving me
two water skies...

Berkeleyan Nomad

Meandering pedaler
Swaying with languid apathy
Or determination
To Detach

His bucket-baby securely fastened
Hunting for anything that shines
Through urban Wasteland, sifting
Through dead leaves

Listens to foreign whispers bouncing off structured rooftops
Hollow gusts of air rattling in insulated walls
Insulated in
Insulated out

He can stand on foggy dunes at the edge of crooked highways
Feel the gust of hurried cars shaking the frightened trees
And look out into scarless murky waters that hold no memories
And see a distantly familiar character between the rolls of the waves

With his cup in hand
Collecting judgement
Evidence for the world's trial
A useless persuit

Though loveless, musicless
He now vibrates within.

Low Tide

The tide's out at present
 Means the water's further away
 There's a whole lot more
 Beach out there
 Than there was
Six or even five hours ago
 Temporary real estate
 Suitable for construction
 Of the grandest of sandcastles
 Unobstructed sea views
One hundred and eighty degree vista
 No permit required

Its a longer walk to the water
But not as far to swim
 As it often is
 This time of day
It's thanks to the moon we're told
 Taking the beach away
 Every 12 hours
 For cleaning I imagine

On a beach

I used to wonder what it would look like
I used to wonder how it would feel
I used to wonder how the air would be
On that big, open beach

I grew up around trees with no water
I grew up with dirt and lost bugs
I grew up with heat and sometimes rain
But never grew up on a beach

Who would take me to this wonderful place
When would i take that journey
Where would it lead me
I hope to stand on a beach

I joined the military at age 17
took that risk to travel
didn't know where it would lead me
But i hoped it was on a beach

The first time i saw it i cried
The first time i felt it i screamed
The first time i breathed in the thin air i laughed
I had finally made it on a beach

I no longer wonder how it felt
Nor how it looks
Not even how the air feels
WHY, because i finally got on that beach.

Cobwebs cover the window sills
And dust chokes the doors
All is quiet, air stagnant as camera stills
Take heed, steer clear of these shores

On dark nights they shine the beacon
Sound the horn to signal danger
Tarry not, your resolve shall weaken
For its they you should fear, stranger

Dread not the sunken pirate ships
But here’s no safe harbor to dock
The night crew, the Graveyard Crypts
Man the lighthouse on this rock”

A Universe

A Universe

It was quite simply a palm full of sand
Playfully tossed into the air
To be scattered by the wind

Each grain of sand was like a little world
Drifting through the air unperturbed
And so unaware of its surroundings

Sunlight danced off each grain
As if each grain were significant
Instead of dull and unremarkable

The grains simply continued drifting
Unable to change the course of their destiny
As if invisible strings were tied to each

But they knew not the nature of their existence
And thus their existence was simply a means to an end
Books written to begin and someday close

These grains simply continued their drifting
As long as the wind kept carrying them
But they thought not of the wind

And they surely thought not of the impending end
When the wind would die down and the gale
Would simply become a whisper

The burden of the grains would become too much
And the grains would lose what granted them life
Falling into the unknown

Falling into the oblivion of my eyes
Where they would be wiped away with annoyance
Never once thought of again

Beach in my own imaginary world

I remember when I was little
We had a pool the color of the ocean,
We even had the grainy, tan sand.
It felt like a beach, you know a weird beach where you’d have to climb a ladder to get in and out of the ocean.
I remember on warm days I’d go outside and play in the sand.
I’d pretend it was quick sand and act like I was getting eaten up slowly, going further and further into the sandy depths.
I remember going out there just to stick my feet and cover it up with sand imagining I was really at a beach.
The wind flowing through my hair
The sound of the currents splashing the side
The sound of birds and the smell of salt water going through my head
I remember feeling safe there, safe in my own mind on my imaginary beach.
The funny thing was I have never been on a beach, I still haven’t
But I imagined my own beach, I imagined my own little world
I remember when I was little I didn’t have to worry what people thought
I didn’t have to deal with the hateful comments and the events of the cruel world,
I didn’t have to save myself from drowning in the pools in my head,
I didn’t have to explain why my body was covered in battle scars, I never even knew what battle scars were
I didn’t have to fight off the demons in order to sleep at night,
I just had to imagine a Beach on a warm day,
I just had to imagine my own little world
But now imagining a beach on a warm day, with my hair flowing in the wind with the smell of salt and the sound of birds around me,
Or imagining I’m being eaten by quicksand going further and further down, doesn’t work anymore
But god I wish it did work because life would be easier if I could imagine being on a beach in my own imaginary world.

Birthplace

Water milk warm
Honey sand so light
The breeze so soothing
Misty air sunshine filled
And your smile is more than just sweet

I am with myself
With seagulls near me
Lost sailors whispering
The sound of waves very calming
And pine trees pivoting in the sea

An escape of a thought
In this domain of freedom
Then crushed by thunder
A rainfall forced rainbow
And this story is salty air carried

FALCONS WITH POWERFUL WINGS

This breezy island is often visited
by falcons with powerful wings,
as they display the swiftness
of their elaborate flights; on the gleaming sand,
I'm laid back and pensive, while my curious dog
scampers to and fro, trying to catch them...

Falcons with powerful wings, on my island blasting with sunshine,
forever dwell to multiply your offspring:
no human ever sets foot on it to avoid dire,
for the steaming soil is too arid, and nothing ever grows,indeed;
and the palm trees can only offer shade
for someone eager to stay, but afraid...

A sunlight as dense as fire
scorches the soft and low dunes,
on the deserted beach I play my melodious tunes;
a capricious, soothing breeze brushes
my suntanned, golden cheeks...
why is this beach the quietest place that instills every desire?

Falcons, roar until the blazing sky disperses its blueness
which attracts your enthusiasm to induce brazenness,
but the arrival of shadows brings dreariness and solitude:
for vultures that are raring to go to a brighter altitude;
only the whimpering ravens huddle on the battered rocks, and wait
for the luminescent sunrise, hoping to flutter in the August's intense heat...

Oasis

I watched her swim up into the arms of

a flickering sunset,

mouth open,

letting rain

fall on a velvet tongue.

She was a whisper in

the arms of horizon,

lightning strikes

falling beneath her

every stroke.

I followed her to

the edge,

until the weight

of muddy shores,

stifled my breath

and forced my

knees unto the Earth.

In silence,

I devoured the sight,

praying for the strength

to find my way.

BEACH BUDDIES

I’m sitting silently listening to the swoosh swoosh of the sea
Children paddle in icy sapphire water, so young and carefree
Their screams of innocent laughter are ringing in my ear
I reminisce of my childhood and dream of yesteryear

Of days before computers and the electronic age
Mobile phones weren’t invented, now they are all the rage
Bleep Bleep Bleep oh how irritating, it is a constant noise
But now they are essential to many young girls and boys

Life so full of simple pleasures, wind blowing through my hair
Running round barefooted with kites floating in mid air
Digging spectacular sandcastles with a dramatic moat
Splashing around in the sea together in a tiny little boat

Enjoying a perfect picnic on the golden sand
Getting an ice cream and it melting down my hand
Finding stunning starfish and a pretty pink seashell
Take them into school to display at show and tell

Climbing into craggy rock pools with a fishing net
Falling on the rocks getting clothes soaking wet
Bathing beauties on the beach topping up a tan
Suns rays beating down they wish they had a fan

Revitalized

Clocks in the house were all but removed
I chose utter quietude over malicious ticks and tocks.
Adhering to schedules was reliant on the angles of the sun,
and the sandy family hourglass artifact sitting by the side
of me at my station, every hour on the hour reminding, and
I myself being ready to flip. This was how not to live
as a farmer and still be a slave to the working of grains.
The sanctity of my spinning room was also my prison for
forty hours every week, and a third of my adult life.
Pressing down on the pedal below to see the top half rotate
and as my world turns I sometimes get approached.
With significant fibers, their casual orders are mine for marching,
working that spindle to the satisfaction of the customer,
as was every occasion but my last one, the best one, the only one
that I'll remember as special, delivering my soul from boredom.
My only daughter, sweet thing, no siblings to rival with
unless a naked, well tattered doll counts. She took it on adventures
to the moon while I couldn't see my child, my savior expanding horizons.
It was silly not to see her blowing about carefree as the wind that day
without concerns over food and shelter all she desired was the deepest
one of all. She was sleeping on desires with every chance to dream for her
best friend a modest cape for him to fly. Deep inside I knew her spirits
and that doll would ride the same breeze but I had to say no for the silk
was not mine. The customer was always right until the next day
when I stepped out to the corner store for the bite of a sour apple,
returning to an open door the hourglass was broken and my spindle bare.
The world had stopped spinning, time had stopped existing… so long
comfortable rut. Mortified for a brevity, just when I thought worlds
couldn't change, mine had with the crashing of an antique. The glass
littered beach on the floor was proof of that. The spindle was stripped of
its importance and all of a sudden it hit me fast, so fast I smiled.
My daughter was no devil and yet she was the culprit stealing
my heart before and a cape now but it was okay,
just this once, to have a family legacy mocked
for the prosperity of a child's imagination.
Seeing them fly in the backyard I dripped gentle
waves from tear ducts upon that glass scattered beach
secretly grateful, values in my life were restored.

Hollywood Beach Gulls

       HOLLYWOOD BEACH GULLS
Regrettably the sun was setting low
on wings of gulls all red and fiery eyed
they plucked the popcorn from our waiting hand
as if we had a dream to give to them
or sang a song they might have understood.

There in their shrilled descent they had such grace
my heart lept to an all time vibrant shrill
and wondered just how far their wings could fly
if only words of love could let us soar.

But words of love are only past regrets
of humping on the beach for me and you
after the gulls have found their nesting place
and making it on their own. Will I die
another death without the touch of you?

That bastard seagull. Wasn't he the shame
of Hollywood Beach that sunny afternoon
we met and we made love for real?
Not in St Johns
where I lived a mile from you
But in Hollywood Beach
where a drunk can be a drunk
but in goodf company
But we were just too drunk to remember,
like everyone else on the beach
all of us down from the great St Johns Blizzard,
doing what Canadians do best
staying drunk long enough to forget it all
when we got back home.
But in St Johns, we had the bitter cold as an excuse
for being drunk all of the time.

On Hollywood Beach, the gulls all knew
We didn't need an excuse,
we just did it.

Sandalwood Fan

Sandalwood Fan

On the verandah of the Moana Hotel
Not too many years ago
Under the great banyan beside the
beach at Waikiki

They would bring a fragrant sandalwood fan
to all the guests that ordered tea.
They set it before you in its own fancy stand

the most alluring fragrance wafted on demand,
when you opened it’s carved blades
 and gently fanned.
Given to holders on an honor system
Understood to return on leaving…

Sadly, too many proved untrustworthy.
after a time- these fans became un-available

A friend who had shared many tea- times there, with me
one day -sent me a small gift from China
A slim package which when opened re-kindled memory

A glass topped case holding a sandalwood fan
just for me

  drawing with frenzied fort the

in unfamiliar bodies, our bodies flesh and

pretend again against the fisher of men
with grasping breaths, with ponderous sweat
we dreams. seed and soup of shifting
      protean odds
soured minds fettered to the rouse of agitating streams
of what is true and yet truer still

time wasted or well spent
  end all the same

  bloody dust kicked up
    from the cut
the electric bump

you said you would give me the

O' Sandy

As we lay beneath the moons glare
A simple look will never prepare
It seems quite
It seems peaceful
Without the light nothing appears displaced
Only that sight is a lie, not really a sight
The suns arrival comes with the truth
Now we can see what needs to be seen
It disguises as if it was a dump
Yet, it never was the place of any garbage
A day ago it was a living society set with a stage
The performance came her name was sandy
The audience took her act to heart
She took lives
She took memories
She tore us all apart
A scary performance, always to be remembered
Now to fix up, the damage that was widespread

Ethnic Goa and Unique Goa

As I opened the door
And stepped inside the divine floor
A gentle zephyr bore upon my core
The tranquil ambience aroused me wishes galore
And I felt I’ve completed my journey to God’s manor.

There is the aureole addressing the path,
the path to the house of worship,
even in the dark it is a sign of luminescence
Shinning against all irreverance.

God made heaven and earth and all the angels
and all the extra important angels, called Archangels.
The Archangels were God’s very special friends
and were shinning and strong and powerful
They adhered God's message
To human races.

From the essence of humanity
I feel mankind is comprehensive
They are gifted with a communal harmony
And from the essence of spiritual luminance
Divinity is never classified
And the idol we worship is in the core of mankind.

Today when I see the unity within
I feel to be a part of them
They don’t have any caste as such
Neither have they belonged to any religions
Christians, Hindus and Muslims
Together they are Goans.

Thence I hold my breath
Along the serene western sky
To the sandy coastal line
There to blend with the ocean rage
And legless gamy sight.

Live shells, fresh air and sunrise at the horizon,
a lazy day and a walk to remember.
I gave up everything
just to feel am the only admirer

Along the coast I rove alone,
and I see am being followed,
but not by humans
but by the species I never acquainted before

Seeking for your morning lust,
I call upon a peaceful realm,
I decided to hold your hand,
and thence I committed to feel the warmth.

Before I leave,
let us rock on the sandy beach,
let us blend with the folk culture
and together we will grab the trance music and dance,
the moments we will collect may bring us back to here.

The Gathering

The Gathering
It started with the sun
casting colors on the sand, sun
tanned brown
pointing cowry shells – golden baked

An old seagull by the sea watches me collect
a gathering of shells to string around your neck

There are feathers scattered
and I weave them between my collection
of earth and sea - softness and smiles
From God - to sea and sand - to bird - me
Our gathering - an Offering
As our little old bird watches by seaweed freshly brought
sharing in this joyful weaving - for you.
Gathering too.

Siren Dreams

He walks by night
Lost in thought
     lost in shadow

Mother Ocean lashes against the shorline
beating primal pulses
Drumming her sensual rhythm

He walks by night
surrounded by shadow
      Female forms...restless
as the scent of warm male permeates the salt sea air

She gives in to the longing that abides
      within her convoluted core

Watching
Waiting
Wanting
a release to this need
      Her wicked need
licking slow heat along open nerves

The touch is perilous
Heady
Hot

She rides him through the surf
      the seductive caress of waves
      Coming in the water

Rides him till the end
      the end of all things

...Or so he thinks
As he walks along the shorline
      hands in his pockets
      Lost in thought
      in shadow

Kicking up sand as
He walks by night

Story three

Through the years the boy became a man that had already seen the world in his travels. He never married because of his conviction of accused infection of the people. The rules in those day changed ruler to ruler. He was allowed to marry in his life time but not untill after his leader had died, he was 67 at the time. The boy that had traveled did write a scrolled article that contained his opionion and explaination of the metors and the water but it also detailed the logistics of the war that happened on the island and even pictures of the way the warriors had left the bodies, upside down with flames or hot embers at the deads necks with iron post staked through their hearts. The gentleman had a therory of an island with a volcano that fed eagerly and hungerly at the rotten humans that had been staked to the ground for three to seven years. He therorized that the volcano infect with the bacteria had leched to the jungle floors and perched its self to the under sides of the world. The decription that Notradomus gave was alot like the article that the boy had written only to be published in the most private of scholarly clubs.

Ever sat by the ocean
on the rocks mesmerized
by the movement
the rhythmic movement
the seaweed awaying
like in a breeze
the water moving all things
to and fro to and fro to and fro
the fish, crabs, shells, sand
all content in this dance
the waves crashing and grinding
eventually turning all into sand

Is this here
is this now
is this elsewhere

The sand was once
fish, crab, shell
seaweed moving
floating, dreaming

Can you hear the ocean
are you still here?

Hope dangles on a string

just below a marvelous landmark of a metropolis that see's no end to its expansion, lies a stretch of land. curved by many years of our moons control over what covers more then 50% of what anyone could inherit in this world. lies a log. only a few could tell how many years this artifact has gotten to observate. not that it could form opinions and idea's or have the slightest emotion but its there. the smell of sea salt. the ever swallowing winds and waves that swallow this small penninsula, through out the many days the light and darkness have taken there turns, to the forever clock work of the change in seasons. this log, this stump, has sat here. If you believe in destiny, you may come to believe this log serves a purpose for any who find themselves venturing to this corner of the world. love has started here. happiness has found a landmark to add to a foundation to the souls that let it take over them. memorys from a father to a son, to a daughter to a loved one have been forever forged here. no matter how much of are climate changes and reshapes this land all these memorys will stay embedded. unknown to the common folk who stumble upon this stretch of beauty. it will always be there. One cold day. a philosopher, a poet, a man in search of answers that roam uncontrollably through out his body decides to ponder in this place as he seeks an inner answer for his search for peace, harmony and happiness that has been in a bit of a recess for what feels like an eternity for him, hide and seek let your childish memorys take you away as you remember what defines the meaning of hide and seek. this poet feels nothing more then sinking in the ocean like the flat long rock he threw to skip. counting the times its bounces back after hitting its surface. this imagery slowly creeps its way into visualization that it almost resembles himself. beauty in 5 seconds that most in this beautiful world probably have never considered, never captured. he stands up, takes his steps forward. the paralyzing feeling slowly diminishing. each link in the chain that has kept him bound slowly disappears. He begins to wish he had on sandals instead he imagines the feeling of the small pockets of sand away from the rocks creep warm heat into the spaces in between his toes even though its a cold summer set day. he makes another step. his thoughts tend to take him over and do circles each step he takes, each breath he takes. before the poet realizes where he stands he feels the water rush up his legs. as he opens his eyes wondering why he had them closed. he reaches into his pocket to throw another rock he has been holding onto long before stumbling into this beautiful abyss that captures moments unknown to all the unknown souls who have wondered here. he kisses the rock, looks to the distance and tosses it.
before the last skip even came the poet had turned around. he knows from this moment on nothing will be the same again but not in a dark gloomy unpredictable way. more in a way that is so new. another adventure, another moment soon to come like the many before who forever embedded there memory's here. a new start. not one wished upon but one that found its way to him, who is watching over the poet making sure there is ground every step he takes? the answer lies in himself. just like it does for you.

A New Beginning at Dusk

~A New Beginning at Dusk~

Two people walking along the ocean’s rising tide
Singing a lullaby to the sea gulls as they kiss the day good-bye
Two people learning who they are all over again
And all the while knowing that their dreams are starting to make sense
Two souls intertwined from the origins of the universe
Two souls that were created to never be apart
I am the pollen and you are the flower
You are the chime in the wind!
Here we go again with another fresh start
The era of mistakes is past us
On the road paved from heaven
A road of sweet morning dew
I taste a piece of your bread unleaven and new
We hold each other’s hands
I pull the chain near the light bulb
You command the stars to stay on bright
As we cuddle beneath the moon
Is this the way paradise begins?
Is this the New Millennium?
I am almost ready for something new
Now let me go and finish my task
I have a difficult job to do
I have to finish this life on a high note
Before I can open a new book
Allow me to make amends with all the crooked roads of my past
I can’t wave a magic wand and everything disappears

Chianti Dreams

I wrote my dreams on the back of a paper bag.
Stuffed them down inside an empty bottle of Chianti
and threw it into the ocean.
The tide rolled it right back to me,
with words as wet as my eyes.

Leaving

The tide is coming.

Rheumy eyes lost on the horizon. Misting, over half memories.

Vera Lynn keeping us firmly in the past. Time in the present ever shorter.

Flask piping hot, burnt lips. Lunch heartily eaten.

Talk of family long-gone and family non-existent. Half finished sentences.

Singing until hoarse, oblivious of time and place.

Home before dusk or enter a world of anxiety and confusion.

The tide is gone.

I shall miss Sundays.

Love For Sale

In the slight of hand at the dead of night will stand
Hoping someday soon all will live to understand
The heart that will beat the tone of the feet
Love for sale

We ask for more yet for what?

In the passage of time their lies hurdles

WALKING ALONG THE BEACH

Walking along the beach on a Saturday morning
I can see the sun smiling from the horizon
The weather is cool and the water is calm
I can feel the gentle hands of sea breeze caressing my face
There are so many people doing different activities
Men and women lying in their shorts and bikinis ready for sun bathing
Young boys and girls in the water swimming and having fun
Little kids on the beach building castle of sand
The dogs are running around barking wildly in excitement
Where ever i look i see beautiful people with smile on their pretty faces
Life seems so perfect just walking along the beach on a Saturday morning.

Needs

From my car I watch
a young woman flick her ash
nervously. I wonder on the
days gone by. Friday nights
and hot dates. Frolicking in
the summer sun - is all that
gaiety gone - I have
no need for artifice, fast
cars, the thrill of the chase.

Fireworks Go Off

Later on today...yeah...
Fireworks are gonna sound like
Gunshots in each direction...
But, it looks like a growing sunflower in the air
The sounds are too much to bear...
Scaring cats and dogs away...
Confusion sticks to us...like a leech
I'm not feeling okay...I want to go to the beach
I have a migraine...okay?
Let me swim away into the ocean

Fireworks go off, but I'm caught in waves of motion...

And I forget about the commotion...

Thank the Lord Almighty...
For His loving-kindness and peace He plants in me

I'm Experiencing
Cloud 7
Again...thank heaven

I get afraid when
Fireworks go off
I get spooked out in the den
Full of lions and I have

ENOUGH
OF
THIS
NONSENSE...

Quit
The
Noise...

ENOUGH
WITH
YOUR
PRESENCE

Quit
wandering
around
like
all
FIVE
toes...

REJOICE! It's fourth of July!
Oooh! Look at the glorious, black velvet sky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

free cee BURY ME WITH HER BRIEF BLUE BIKINI

BURY ME WITH HER BRIEF BLUE BIKINI

Steal me away to quaint St. Tropez
Where the beach beckons as does the sun
Take me away to Turquoise waters
Transport me to where my death can be done

I’ve grown weary of teary eyes
And all the heartbreak that aches a jaded soul
I’ve seen too many children in raggedy clothes
Miniature hands held out in hope
With too many years determined by denial
Each morn torn from the pages of pain
Each twilight a test on how to get through until the morrow
Midst sorrow and bellies too distended
And children to pretend that there isn’t only darkness
That somehow, somewhere, the sun gets in
I’m telling you man, it’s a god forsaken sin
And I’ve seen too much of it
Starving Children and sin
no matter where i've been
It’s all too much to see
It’s all too much for me

So bring me to the beach my sweet
And let the last thing I see be you
Wearing a brief bikini and a mile wide smile
As I drown myself in waves of blue

Forever-Part 1

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

My Favorite Umbrella Days

My favorite umbrella days,
The beach, granular sand,
Sparkling warm sunshine days,
A swimming pool nearby,
I dive into the clear water,
Sometimes I swim like a dolphin,
Streamlined with accuracy,
I like to feel the rays of the sun,
While reclining in a comfortable beach chair,
The beach beckons, I walk,
There are shells everywhere,
The sandy shore goes on for miles,
I hear the sound of the waves in the distance,
I am a collector of shells,
I return to my condominium.

This Island Girl of Maui Sands

This Island Girl Of Maui Sands

Right now, I wish I was still in that hot sweet island sun
Intoxicated by many of the musical deity they all had sung
The sweetness of all the majestic corrals of reefs upon the ocean
So pleasing, tantalizing in such perfect harmony
As I dance upon the midnight silvery moon
Thus, I wait in long-full yearning, yearning as seen in the stars above
To be mystified by the cool waters of the glorifying ocean breeze
Oh, how I long to be laying upon the hottest sands
The exotic sounds of the Hawaiian Angels singing their captive songs
Feeling the coolness of the ice run smoothly down my heated skin
As it dances softly, softly alluring me to a heavenly realm
I never want this vision to end upon this cold and wintery night
Just the thought and the sweetest summer breeze
Does bring a woman to feel beautiful and exciting with wonders of
delight
My wonton feelings are all consumed with the wonders of your touch
This island girl is going home to the isles of Maui Sands.

Somewhere to be alone

12-18-2012 Somewhere to be Alone
I noticed your eyes were blank,
                                Different from the windows opened,
The soft breeze blew across the empty room,
You,like your smile would not move,
It was as though I wasn't even there,
Seconds to late I left for home,
				Walking down this road alone,
Away from a feeling that had gone wrong,
I hope to be in true love once again,
With the sand in my hand, hearing the sound of the busy sea,
The freshness of salty shifting breeze, blowing off my face,
Shearing softly, tips of crashing waves, mist drops off my nose,
The flock of seagulls glide as if floating in mid-air,
Watch the sinking orange sun, turning the page,
To another calm passive day, realizing that I can not stay.

on the beach

on the beach
two pairs of eyes open
upward to heavens of God they stare
waiting for stars to shoot
while they stir and cook fireworks
secrets are planted in the beach sand
the sea breaks
salt-white surf kiss the sandy bubbles
lobsters and shells welcome the surf embracingly
on the sand beach a man and a woman
watch the rising moon
listening to the laughter of tides clapping and lapping
listening to the waves laughter

I am the beach

“I am the beach”

The brilliant yellow sun slowly moves to the horizon and the voice of the beach, comes alive across the ocean waves.
“I am the beach, and here you shall find peace.”
“I am the beach and here you shall see and feel the power.”
“I am the beach and here you shall find solace every hour.”

For at this beach, there is much, that is revealed.
The glistening grains of salty sand, that blanket, are a bed of comfort, too many.
Pause, as you come upon this lively beach, and listen to the symphony of waves, the powerful sound of the wind and the chorus of birds, singing their own songs, as they glide through the blue sea sky.

Feel the power of this beach, as it renews your inner being in a comforting way.
You need not question the beach and its spiritual strength on any day.
The omniscient power of a divine heavenly being is felt, heard and experienced at this beach.

Every wave, every sound, every grain of sand and every pebble that is moved to shore by the thrust of the ocean's power is proof enough.

Footprints, large and small, in the sand paint a beautiful picture amid the smell of the ocean air
Create a mindset of freedom and little care.
There is much to teach, but know for sure,
I am the beach.

riding the waves and forgetting

riding the waves and forgetting
erasing the thought of time from my mind
becoming one with nothingness and it delight
God is here wading in the water with me

riding the waves and forgetting
being taught that i am not the only one
becoming even more schooled of the many facets of relaxation
God is here wading in the water with me

riding the waves and forgetting
looking forward to forward looking
becoming content with the clear definition of Me
God is here wading in the water with me

riding the waves and forgetting
finding the true meaning of blissful serenity
uncovering the secret to the marine vibrations of divinity
God is here wading in the water with me

riding the waves and forgetting
clearing my head of any dark, dreary thoughts
removing the blanket that i allowed to blockade my every view for way too long
God is here....wading in the water with me....

These Brick Bound Boxes

these brick bound boxes
fill this equinox of smart headed people
of these independent achievable people
critical analysts of this 21 century
ready to be presentable to the unmighty
smaller population of antisocial teenage children
willing them to be

not to be free, but inside these brick bound boxes
that fill the human intelligence with total
literate irrelevance to who we should be
to who can be

ultimately like them
filled in these brick bound boxes
with mental instimulance
of a mix of lies, creation and motives
see, I don’t have a problem with any of them

just these brick bound boxes that hold them
hold this unforgettable willing mind
of someone we chose to leave behind
in these brick bound boxes

that encompass first the mind and then the soul
but who wants all this control?

society can speak of a whole.
an incredible strong mental image
of how life is to be--
within these brick bound boxes.

My life isn’t based in these brick bound boxes
but it soon will
creating a song of the monotone dead
longing to be passed on from generation to generation
but can't you see

can't you forget that this is not who we ought to be
unless we need to spontaneously combust
in this equinox till it metastasizes
catastro sizes to an everlasting dust
even you must ought to smell the musk.

So tell me, how do thee?
how do thee live with these brick bound boxes
filling up every empty not-yet-set concrete whole
implying of who you are before you could even
have some kind of control over yourself

its swept under the rug.
no biggie, you're just a kiddie
no actual value to this reality
yet before you can buy alcohol

and I’m someone to sound big
I just don’t want to fill these lonely brick bound boxes
where the death of every living will cease to be a beginning
in this equinox of the everlasting dust,
so do you must, live in these brick bound boxes?

give me any highway to the beach
i am on it
i will walk off my job for a walk on the sand and a swim in the ocean

give me any rural road to the beach
i am on it
i will purchase peaches and guzzle down some cherry apple cider for a house
or a condo that is oceanfront and tranquil

give me 52, 95, 220, 601, or any other number to the beach
i am on it
i will set up ten....thousand GPS thingamajigs for a day on a boat with a fishing
rod in my hand

give me a sign, a billboard, or something with arrows to the beach
i am on it
i will put on my walking shoes and carry all my luggage with just for the overall feel
of it....PERIOD....

Happy Hampton Beach

Glistening throngs walk in detached cadence
Sweating long necks on a production line
Along the boardwalk
Pungent saltwater and fried dough drifts
Ocean meets country fair

Constant clamor of teen and seagull
A multitude of color variation
Red to black
Whiffs of Coppertone and Noxzema
To ease the pain of the vain and pale

Summer at Happy Hampton Beach
Arcade upon arcade
Clinking bells and whirly sounds
“You’re a Winner!” it screams
And then we are gone, until next year

Dock Of The Bay

Back in the summer of 69
I remember sitting on the dock of the bay
                                     watching the boys of summer
build their love shacks love shacks
                                    girls were playing twister and
sipping on pina coladas all day
                                     feeling kind of groovy groovy
I couldn't get much higher higher
                                     with these such good vibrations
from the summer in the city
                                     way down in Key Largo
watching my beach baby beach baby
from the dock of the bay

     THE SAN sebastion SUN

It was on a beach somewhere in San Sebastian
When the sun sought supremacy over the sky
Storm clouds didn’t stand a chance
And, per chance, we came to realize
That the same thing that keeps lovers together
Is often the same thing that set them apart
A smile that beguiles
A wink that makes one think
And an answer that wasn’t born of a question
But rather from a solution
That sunny day was absolute absolution
Forgiveness for acts of actuality
Nurtured by neutrality
And the frailties of forevermore
That day was fate’s front door
A porch with a torch burning bright
A front yard with yards and yards of yellow roses
And tulips that tipped into the wind
It was love that reality could never rescind
Nor could it redact a fact of fantasy

She held out her hand
And asked if she had ever told me how much she loved me
I asked if she still felt that way
She responded firmly with “forever”

It was on a beach in San Sebastian
When the sun was sequestered by the darkness
We both came to realize that what keeps lovers together
Is often the same as what sets them apart
Two hearts that knew they were one from the start
And that is when I began to believe that she and I would never part
I wonder………………….

rained out beach trip

rained out beach trip
does not matter
gives me time to think
first time alone with the waves crashing
scented seashell to my ear
wishing for a different choice of words
gripping the pendant you gave me on my last birthday....the one with the lips in the middle of a heart
frustrated because i know not why i came here
wanting the pleasure of your company in simplicity
rained out beach trip not helping
life in fragments since you left
feeling like dirt full of disposed chewing gum with dead saliva
tears the only salted experience
tasting the regret while wishing i was not such a 'man'
watching time pass slowly
checking out early
leaving symbols of our tattered, wilted love behind
moving with constipated progress
stubbornness dissipating
submitting to obviousness
whispering repeatedly....'i miss you'....

* The Ocean Side

Such beauty is something one must never forget.
The smells, sounds, sunsets at the ocean side.
Sitting on a beach towel on the warmed sands with
a big umbrella shading from the sun of the day.

Now evening has come the sun is setting across the ocean.
The warm summer breeze blowing bringing the rippling of
the blue waves sloshing against the rocks on the beach.

Sky is now being lite up with colors of the rainbows.
As she sits watching the sun looking now like a big,
red beach ball, ready for someone to toss it about.
Breath taking to see such a beautiful site from God.

Than sets the sun, and up comes the moon lighting up
the darken beach with such beautiful light, showing all
that has now been swept on to the sands from the gentle
waves, far out shells, crabs, jelly fish, star fish, lobsters.

So the night ends with her picking up shells, putting them
into her bag, folding her towel, putting down the umbrella.
Taking one last walk across the sands wet with the tides,
knowing tomorrow she will be back to see it all again.

DEFEAT

DEFEAT

Out of the waves they come.
Helmeted army of crabs
Trundle over the perfect pools
Of starfish and periwinkle,
Murking up the sandy bottom
Of their foxholes,
Armoured claws testing each mollusk for food,
Sidling up to my toes
In marauding hunger.
I retreat inland,
Allowing them their beachhead.

a place where all could have been and was

where innocence still has the heart
