~Moon & Sea~

Hey boy won't you open that door?
Let's sing and walk by the shore

Come and spread out your eyes
Block looking for reasons, and whys?

The cosmos are more than a space to explore
Don't hide when I need.... Plus more.

Finish playing a master in disguise!
Lets find the perfect sunrise, sunset surprise.

Put your arms around me
Allow your moon to reflect off my sea

Too much time has passed you by
Come outside with and view the horizon up high

I've got my eyes set upon you
There's no need to feel blue

Hey boy comes, climb up this tree!
I'm going to show you all the things you can't touch, you can't see.

Lets fit the luxury and beauty of this world into our play.
Don't say them words that will set me free to walk away.

Take this kiss and see how it feel deep within your heart.
Close your eyes in my garden, and draw with the fragrance of art

I want to take you into that space, astronomy love.
Making it easy to float with the clouds way up above.

Glide away from the blame of gravity and self destruct.
Bounce of the dust of hurt when you fall and get cut.

Boy, let's hold in this perfect air together.
Leave the cold end of someone else's weather.

Follow me beyond the distance of chemistry.
I will expose your moon and explain the physics of my sea.

Give it another chance and you will see!
Your moon, is skin deep, needing water from me.

Turn on the tune in your heart, and listen to me.
In every sunrise, the moon entwines with the sea.

One in Four Women

Terror seizes you, and it isn't kind.
You try to go somewhere peaceful in your mind.
But the pain rips you right back to here and now.
Not wanting to give him the satisfaction of even saying "ow."

You try to be strong, but he tears from you, a scream.
Oh God, please let this be a terrible, terrible dream.
I thought he was supposed to be a friend of mine?
As the tears grow down my face like vine.
He tells me I wanted it, even though I screamed no.
He says my attitude and outfit told him so.
In the same breath, he threatens me never to tell.
If they ask why the tears, you better say you fell.

As I got out of the car he pulled me to him and hugged me tight.
He kissed my forehead and said Don't worry you'll be all right.
Just remember, if you open your mouth, no one will believe a dirty whore.
Now go inside before I take you for another ride and give you some more.

Into the house and straight into the shower.
I was in there for what felt like hours and hours.
My grandmother knew right from the start.
Please don't tell, it would break Daddy's heart.

Please, Grandma he's not worth Daddy going to jail.
For my sake and his, you can never, ever tell.
She kept her promise and never uttered a word.
At night, she told me, my cries she heard.

For six weeks I kept my secret and told not another soul.
For six weeks I sunk deeper and deeper into a hole.
Not until I heard that he raped a fourteen year old girl.
Knowing I could have prevented it, shattered my world.

I finally told my horror story to the cops and to my Dad.
I don't think I'd ever seen him so violently mad.
Mike was arrested, but in jail he would not stay.
He lived around the corner and we had to move away.

He got probation, but not for me, his word against mine.
I was sixteen, of legal age to consent, so for me he'd get no time.
His punishment, probation for only a couple of years.
Me and his other victim were left with our fears.

Would he find us and take revenge for what he said was a lie?
Would my father hunt him down, and go to prison for a rapist to die?
He got away, pretty much scot-free for his deplorable crime.
His victims were the ones who were serving the time.

This IS a true story, my story, but not my story alone. After 8 years and raping several
other women Mike was sentenced to 35 years in prison. As he pleaded his innocence, we were
all in some way vindicated. He never did a day for brutally raping me, NOT ONE DAMN DAY.
But he's doing plenty now. I hope he gets ALL that he deserves.

The Mountain Speaks

(This is a "childhood" poem, written many years ago.)

High above the pristine falls
the looming mountain lifts its walls.
A monolith of stony gray,
with bulky lips, it seems to say:
"Eons passed since I've been here;
nothing have I seen to fear
while above my walls, from year to year,
about the world below I peer.
My walls so high, so steep and strong,
protect me well from all that's wrong.
Would that Man below could see
how I keep all harm from me.
Would that he could build a wall
about his home, his family -- all --
to keep them safe from Evil's charm,
which causes Man unending harm."

Loony Tunes

< Cascading lakes and streams
The loon stands out it seems

                                           Minnesota's state bird
I know it must sound absurd

                                           Adopted in nineteen sixty one
Wails and yodels heard under the sun

Black and white bearing red eyes
Wingspans five feet can make one cry

Body lengths up to three feet
Yet clumsy on lands and moss peat

                                          They are high speed flyers
                                          And great underwater divers

They can dive up to ninety feet
In pursuit of fish they want to eat

They are even on our license plates
An critical habitat drawn on metal slates

Twelve thousand of these unique birds
God that has to be a lot of turds

But for now I'll enjoy it's captured views
Of this beautiful loon and it's most colorful hues

Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit

Earth is what we become and makes us whole.
Air is the first and last thing we breathe in.
Fire is what consumes us and eats our sin.
Water cleanses us, mind, body and soul.

Spirit is in us all and makes us who we are.
Without these we would fall oh so far.

Invite them into our sacred circle and pay tribute.
As we are condemned, we are resolute.

We love fiercely and fight for our freedom.
 Ignorance breeds fear and unwisdom.

Thank them for gracing us with their presence.
While we give our thanks and recompense.

Exhilarated and feeling like a newborn child,
Wow this circle's "magic" is wild.

Welcome 2013

Behold the sun of two thousand twelve go
It rose on January one with pomp and show
Like dethroned Presidents of many countries whose
National wealth decline and personal grow

Two thousand thirteen ushers in
On it the people and nations their hopes pin
One more promise one more hope
Spain and Greece will climb up the slope

Portugal will once more its glory regain
New York will not be devastated by rain
Rulers and kings will perform such feat
The year will poverty and hardship defeat

Taliban and Al-Qaida will meet their doom
On the heads of Syrians death won’t loom
Deprivation and misery will rule no more
Greed and lust will see the door

Religious intolerance would be words unknown
Skies won’t see the flight of drone
Kashmiris and Palestinian’s plight will end
People would rally and freedom defend

Victory of justice protection of rights
Lust harnessed that misery invites
Human souls saved from hunger, disease
World will witness life expectancy increase

This will prove a different year
Hearts will know no tyrant’s fear

The Whisper of Wind

Come to me and lay down your wearies,
In the bed of rose petals rest appease.

The soft voice of siren will send you in to bliss.
'Til you close your eyes and start dreaming in peace.

Dance with me, I'll take you in heavenly place.
Where angels and fairies singing a song of praise.

Fly high and touch the ceiling of sky.

Autumn's Breeze

Crisp Autumn seeps through the day
Dew balances a fresh cut blade

Tangerine skies seethe God's Grace
Summer's vehment blaze...replaced

Slipping sweetness around my pillow
Cool winds dance with weeping willow

Stars twinkle down through thick dense trees
As spirits dance in fresh Autumn's breeze

Breathes of Souls

The night grows heavy as the bells do toll,
And tears will fall, all will behold.

As deep in Gods earth is laid to rest half a soul
Once entwined and beautifully blessed.

Now those left behind will cry out with envy,
For the peace of ages the lost holds so clearly.

Those hearts left behind will cry out with the cold
As bittersweet memories circle of old.

Emblazoned images circle of walks once walked,
As the other half now goes with God to talk.

Hearts do tremble with sadness that once knew love,
As time stretches, a lonely run begun.

Time will carry forth until the other flies free
Dispatched by deaths angel to soar with the breeze.

Then those dispatched by deaths’ grim thoughts will unite
Together to find peace at last.

As the breathes of two souls will heal and hold fast,
And love will again hold them close, at last.

A letter from Satan

I have come to bring pain, fear and strife
To consume you with worry and not enjoy your life

Fill you with past regrets and mistakes
so that i will win the battle and make sure your heart breaks

I want to ensure you suffer constantly
not trusting the one above, the one who made me

Your life will be filled with constant sorrow
so that i don't have to worry about you living tomorrow

The hate and the fury I make you feel
Its just a joke, its for fun
It isn't real

I want you to be heavy burdened
and allow the plans God has to be deserted

You have to understand I don't care about you
All I want is your soul and make you feel blue

So take this letter and understand why
my plans for you are not high

Cling to me and I will give you everything you wanted
But dont complain when your disappointed

Visit me in a dream

Come and visit me in a dream,

And tell me how you are,

Are you floating on a cloud?

Have you found the brightest star?

I know you're with us somewhere,

Even though you can't be seen,

Painting the bluest sky,

Or among the grass so green.

As I'm wandering through the park,

Looking up at the trees,

Daydreaming of the joy you brought,

Will you visit me please?

Just send me a little sign,

White feathers on the breeze,

To let me know you're happy, free

And put my mind at ease.

Or ask a passing stranger,

With twinkling brown eyes,

A cheeky smile, and baldy head,

To nod as he passes by.

Or maybe play a special song,

Loud, on my radio,

That could have been written just for you,

About all the love we've known.

Come visit me in a dream,

And tell me how you are,

I know you're there, a floating cloud,

And one of the brightest stars.

When the air becomes visible - rainbows

The sky on days become too full
And gravity will start to pull
And capture every bubble frame
While popping corks off rich champagne
The trees will fool and start to dance
And still the time on every branch
With baron shrine and fruits to bare
The wind that strokes and blows through hair
On top-down journeys come to pause
And settle howls with loud applause
Before acceding way too fast
They leave a trail that sprouts from past
Of flitter flatters in delight
And pitter patters out of sight
Extending dreams as arms beseech
To touch the always out of reach
Parting ways, they kiss goodnight
Before the lips close way too tight
The watermarks miraged for miles
With poppy sighs and angel smiles
A substance of the rarest rare
The healing voice of hearts that care
The silver clouds left in its wake
Remain untouched for heaven’s sake
It can’t be met from anywhere
But viewed to share the secret stare
and ponder why it’s so reborn
Transparent in its naked form
It paints the sky with gold perhaps
For all to drink from natures tap
The air contains the future’s plot
Seen at times, at others not
It’s written in the stars you see
Eclipsed by mind and soul-ar key
Failure amidst surrounds of air
That doesn’t mean love isn’t there

Where I am

We played in sandcastles made from falling mistakes...
The water washed away all my sins it could take...
Precious tears that dried before the pain went away...
Now only floating among what never really fades...
Paper clipped to my soul like a reminder that makes an imprint...
I close my eyes to a darkness that was only a hint...
And drift away down a stream to land where I belong...
And scribe tales of love and loss in my own song...

As the Earth Revolves Around

Outside stars sparkle while daffodils await the morning sun.
Crickets sing their cheery song hoping for a night of fun.

Roosters and hens sleep hidden, snuggled in branches of trees.
Owls are awake, looking around, feathers ruffled in the breeze.

Inside, folks are fast asleep without a sound or a peep.
The sun is on the other side, warming the shepherds’ sheep.

Around the world people love and hate, it happens here and there.
Let us turn our hearts to peace; show tolerance everywhere.

Let us set aside our greed and use only what we need.
Let replenishment be man’s rule of thumb…please, God speed-

Value thrives in the soul of a man, not in what he “owns”.
Wisdom holds the key to love and to the Creator’s throne.

The heavens shine a warming glow; it does not hesitate.
Likewise let us show forth love and bring earth’s peaceful state.

Before the daffodils look up, let us end hate’s bitter cup.
Love one another around the world…God’s creatures…waking up.

When the night sky sparkles each star as earth revolves around.
May wisdom fill the heart of men and peace on earth abound.

Until Then

Until Then
Dawn has arrived and I hardly knew it.
Sitting and writing, I thought right through it.
Feelings about God and the need for peace,
Obsessed my soul, brought hope; pure love released.

I wish that I could wave a magic wand.
And bring to all mankind a loving bond.
Causing the world to find that peace filled place.
Where thoughts of wealth and greed will be displaced.

Alas, my heart takes flight away from fate.
And binds itself to peacefulness this date.
To fantasies of kingdoms far away
Where leaders feel my thoughts and start to pray.

I dream the most miraculous of all.
Begins when they upon their knees do fall.
Then, pray to deity that rules their soul.
And find that God by many names is called.

Then soon, love sparkles-- works its magic lull.
Evil thoughts and hatred vanish, null.
Peace and adoration upon men fall.
Oh, gift from God in heaven to us all.

Peace upon the earth sings, knowing at last.
That only by forgiving evils past--
And putting down war arms by trusting God.
Righteous love can procure the earth we trod.

But, only man, with God can win this race.
When death by wars does retribution face.
And cause the world to find that peace filled place.
Where thoughts of wealth and greed have been displaced.

Around the world when evil has been ceased.
The earth will live a thousand years of peace.
Until then, sadness will greet each new dawn.
And soldiers who survive will be war’s pawn….

Words across the world 2

Release white doves with wings unfurled
words of hope across the world.
Tell each other who you are
dreams are dreams both near and far.

Tell your friends about your stars
how high ,how bright, how much like ours.
talk about your daughter's smile,
share a story,walk a mile...

in the shoes of someone else
tell us how your heart just melts
when you see the sunset ' s glow
share your life and then we'll know

why we all can meet right here
with outstretched hands
and free of fear.

It's better now

Sometimes, life isn't always how
It looks at first. It's all better now.
I felt so overwhelmed by the world's demands,
But I feel better knowing she understands.
I no longer have to regret the things I've said.
I know now that I can move on instead.
I felt as if I was without that thing I could never find.
Now I'm back in my body and back in my mind.
I found that moment where my world was bright.
I found that the sky's still blue and my world's alright.
Loves are loves, traitors are traitors, but family is always there.
Now I can look nearer for someone to care.
I hope that everyone can be like me and find shelter from the rain.
Love, family, friends, help, anything to help fight against your pain.

Goodbye Granddad

Gravity pulls my tears into pools.
Im sinking in sorrow -emotional fuels.

Just turn back the time, I just want a moment.
To say goodbye once, to cherish and own it.

I loved my granddad - a man more than great.
Paired with my Granny as the perfect mate.

A montage of memories that rush my soul.
My eyes fill with tears, I'm losing control.

Just keep it together, it's what he would want.
They all say the same, but I stand in front.

Happiness swells, yet sadness prevails.
Like Christ on the cross, with hands full of nails.

Life has a reason, and death isn't treason.
-It's moving on up.. A lifetime's a season.

I look to the sky and say my goodbye.
The time won't turn back, I gave it a try.

I close my eyes and imagine this-
Paradise in a place full of bliss.

World peace in a piece of the world.
Without loss and bombs never hurled.

Snow that falls that doesn't freeze.
Sun that shines that doesn't cease.

A land where "The forever" is real.
A scene where the sick always heal.

Life with infinite love, like gusts in the wind.
Two little doves, with eternities to spend.

God has a plan, fool-proof to the core.
Now Granddad's with him, a reward of much more.

-Yours Truly

War and Peace

Who can understand why war still exists where
there are clouds reflected in water here

History has proven its futility
even the breeze has a peaceful touch

The graves of the fallen state “they died for us”
Lizards bask on warm stones

where we could not imagine
the compassion of our enemies

Tiny finches twitter in the hedges
How the agony of dying haunts forever those who see

Bright red ti leaves, philodendrons and crosses
of comrades fallen

In dense shadows of shower trees
greatest jubilation comes

where Mynas squabble, good naturedly
Such a happy sound of morning

Another war is over”
If only peace could last forever.

Daily Life

Living day in
Living day out
Working as hard as I can
To get money to pay the bills
Searching for food for the family
Trying to get through the day
As best as I can

All it matters
Is to get some money
To be able to not to think
How am I supposed to support?
My kids, my husband, and I
It all hits me like rain pounding the roof
Is this how life is supposed to be?

Going down hills
Going up hills
Having great times
And some bad times
You think your life should be easy
It is not supposed to be
Life is difficult for a reason

A New Day

The clouds are gone,
the sun shines bright
I open my heart
to all that is right

I take a deep breath
of clean cool air
It feels so good
to release the despair

I open my eyes
and look around
My lips curl up,
no longer a frown

I look to the future
and all I can see
Is anything, and everything
I want it to be

Skittles and a soda
against a gun in its holster?

One day that scream
will be known as a teen
not a heinous lying Fein

What a sinister ploy and twist
with a loaded gun and no fist?

Had everyone sitting and waiting
doomed by a verdict just delaying

Was this just an optical illusion
or, a devious planned conclusion?

Now, this generation too afraid
wearing hoodies will get you dead

But, the Klan was still glad
hoodies they've always had

A verdict they too saw,
ushering in martial law

Morning glory

For the hills they undulate and roll,
Set beneath a crimson sky.
Image liken, to castle ramparts past,
Now slowly worn away with time.
For only seconds before the dawn,
And the mighty sun to rise.
Once more its rays to warm the earth,
And ascend into the sky.
For little bird how sweet you sing,
As you usher now the new morn in.
From branch to branch flit to and fro,
Along the leafy wild hedgerow.
For amongst the green, a dusting fare,
Of pastel shades of color there.
For gentle are the flowers that spring,
Who’s petals blossom like fairy wings.

Attitude VS Habitude

September, a moment to savor after grueling August drought,
a season of pleasing, such as giving just one rain spout.

Soon an equinox change will adjust period format,
as squirrels scamper about storing their winter’s fat.

Leaves of compose piles in back yards and the wilds,
a rich habitat, create images of squirming earth worm smiles.

Shorter days meet to the changing phase of the equinox,
as one will adapt to nature’s way, setting back clocks.

A September to remember sure, enjoying nature’s clout,
a kind of precedent round to remind one, without a doubt.

Sacred principles in keeping good use of the fallowness,
of the coming winter’s splendor of the rest of Sabbath bliss.

Oh yes, four seasons for good reason change human attitude,
cycles of recycles, and change rearrange human habitude.

In Honor of: Brian Strand.

And Contest: September.

You In Mine

Your reflection is on the side of my heart...
I only see it when I'm alone and in the dark...

At times I can't breathe and I stretch for some air...
Gasping and swallowing fear and endless despair...

Through a past of drowning outside of discolored reality...
To falling into the cracks of hope and sense ability....

That reflection still stands the test of time...
For there is always a piece of you in mine...

A Stairway In The Sky

I climbed a stairway high into the sky,
blowing a kiss, I had no tears to cry.
In a moment, all I knew was left behind;
on this quest, I felt blessed for joy I would find.
With a gentle nudge, my two feet stepped on air,
enveloped in truth yet not fully aware.
Pure love pulled me higher as I reached for the light.
The energy and peace were His gifts of insight.
Communing with Him, I was one with all creation,
the unexplainable feeling, freedom and elation.
The warm winds fell silent, the clouds parted for me,
the sun shined on my face, I breathed eternity.
When I finally turned, I envisioned my life,
the glory of each dawn, the love, heartache and strife.
My time was not finished, I had more to do,
to run in the wind and swim in seas of blue,
to stumble and fall, then rise up again,
to be a mother, a mentor and friend.
He wanted me to love and worship Him more,
to forgive, live in grace, find peace and explore.
Following His lead, I promised to reach for the light,
to live fully each day and to never lose sight
of this moment with Him, the loving smile on His face,
the beauty, connection, and joy of Heaven's embrace.

A lazy summer day

Raspberries are ripening in the shade of a white pine,
Red monarda blooms in dappled light of a maple.

I think of Earl Grey tea and Captain Picard,
Time is our companion on this lazy hot day as always.

Spires of lavender buds tower over the mulch.
The pink roses are done blooming,

Hips are maturing as they do with each year that passes.
Sun tea sits in the grass, soon I’ll pour it over ice and drink.

From a pencil to a paper I sing...
Lasting feelings without the sting...

Each stroke of a letter has a sound...
Never falling short or to the ground...

From a pencil to a paper I sing...
Line to line as each has a wing...

All the words connect and hold like hands...
From my title to my name it can now stand...

From a pencil to a paper I sing...
Where my heart and soul touch and ring...

~ In morning’s pastoral turquoise bliss The isle lies warm in sunset's kiss, On autumn’s gurgle when the sun is low When meadow flowers seem to glow Afloat in a sea of cerulean haze, Setting the cascades for October days The air is breezy with scent of flowers Their fragrance pervading wavelets’ hours, When tides swish with mermaid’s choir And tulips flaunt their seashore attire Then sailing in wonder of dew-swept hairs, Larks ascend into floating prayers in pairs Sweet scent of waters fills the buoyant air Serenity ripples on tipping toes everywhere, Dizzy where heather and blooms unfurl As gulls twirl where fair blue waves curl It seems that time stands still a while For salty perfume now the senses beguile ~ ……………….. © copyright Contest: Francine Roberts’ Flowing Water Written by: nette onclaud 19 Sept 2011

I wish for you
warm happy thoughts
soft peaceful nights
kind lessons taught.
I hope that love
runs straight and true
but if it curves
you’ll walk it through.
Hold to your breast
fond memories
tranquil bonds of bliss
When if your eyes
cloud up with tears
know that the Lord
will chase your fears.
Don’t let your smile
be doused by hate
throw it behind
won’t cross the Gate.

My wish for you
is that you see
a cherished life
is yours to be.

Life in focus

The wind doth brace my body so,
As I stand astride the moor.
Invigorated by its feel,
To the sky an eagle soars.
For what splendor and sweet freedom,
Will my soul, feel such happiness.
Given all that’s gone before me,
So much sorrow and unrest.
Oh to see the sun at daybreak,
At dawn the rising mist.
To walk barefoot on the dew tipped fronds,
And to know that I am blessed.
For upon my face the warming sun,
That leaves a kiss with such caress.
Flowers with scented blossoms lie,
On their petals my head I rest

My World Of Dreams

Tonight my ink runs down my cheek...
It flows past my lips to a place it speaks...

It catches paper dreams that can't be torn..
Like seeing through written pages not born...

I wink my eye to brush away a tear...
Then slowly the lines fade and disapear...

I crawl away from demons that know my mind...
Drifting into a place where words are kind...

My eyes close in hopes of a peaceful night...
In a dream that spills into my morning light...

I Just Express

The rain came down as I sat by the window..
I pondered what lifes and ups and downs have shown..

While at the piano the keys didn't feel or sound right..
The mixture of colors on my paint brush had no light..
I then searched for a way to express without sound..
Then the door opened to Poetry and the words I've found..

I feel this time I have found my way through a tangled dark forest..
Now by the same window I write of rain and love as I just express..

bucket list of wants

Tons more I wish to do, Much more I want to do, Before I am laid on the pyre facing the sky deep blue, Much more I wish to do………. I want to scale scary heights, I want to bungee jump without any fright. I want to travel rough terrains on bikes, I want to make it through forests and go on long hikes. I want to wander singing songs, I want to sing about how I mended my wrongs. I want to be creative again , I want to write about my joys thrills and pain. I want to pour my heart and passion in my works, I want to write verses & haikus without reactions knee jerks. I want to take many a calculated risks, I want to learn from the entire process without shortcuts or fancy tricks. I want to contribute for a good cause, I want to give without siphoning material or emotional dross. I want to untangle messed up issues, I want to wipe off tears with empathy laced tissues. I want to work on taboo subjects, I want to solve regression of y on x. I want to listen to my music loud, I want to pen my work in a place far from the madding crowd. I want to sow seeds and many a plant, I want to bask in sun rays that into my room slant. I want to drench in the rains, I want to make paper boats and sail them in the drains. I want to pick up from the ground and smell fresh wet earth, And then joyously have my speech filled with mirth. I want to boldly write about myself only for me, I want the world to know me & my mind as they will always see. I want to meet often the persons, who mean a lot to me, I want to be able to emote my passions and feelings of love and glee. I want to be happy about just any small thing, And all this I want to do before the last breath to my nostrils I bring. Facing the blue skies on my funeral pyre, I want to be on the best craft my soul can hire…. All this I want to do very soon, Before sets into me dreaded gloom. But the life I live is taking its toll, I am yet to get out of this oblivious hole. Time is just right to set aside, And take a ride Fulfill my wants and dreams that I nurtured in me to grow, And I had put away sheathed in a cocoon of time many years ago. Now I don’t want a moment long, And I will do what I want and sing my own song, And do what in me I let grow, Many, many years ago.

We Are As One

We took a jump into forever
Our inner selves found peace together

Sometimes we fade into the blue
But we have each other this is true

We synchronize each others moves
Dancing to our own Life's groove

When chaos crashes down around
Hold on tight as we fall down

This peace is replaced by grace
Wipe crystal tears from your face

You have lightened up my world
No longer a lonely girl

A run-down barn nestled among low and gentle hills,

it adds natural charm to a breathtaking landscape.

On sunny mornings, it adorns itself with sunrays,

making the screeching ravens flee to a shady spot.

Its paint is peeling off due to an abandoned state,

it once echoed with the constant moos of cattle.

It can almost hear the tractors heading for the harvest,

emitting fumes to disperse the wildflowers' strong aroma.

Mockingbirds are too annoyed to welcome another crisp morning

with their thrilling notes that can make the radiant air so festive.

Cowboys riding on fast horses gave life to these fileds, once tallgrass prairies...

even they have left these lands where buffalos, elks and coyotes freely roamed.

Driving back home, dusk changes the color of fields, clouds, hills and sky...

shadows invade the lonely barn on Greenpoint Road followed by many stars.

Life is an Aventurous Squirrel Run

I have my Hubby’s steadfast belief in me.
He loves how my poems are light and airy.
He’ll give me an idea once in a while…
Then he escapes to come back, later to read my new child.

He calls these run-throughs a squirrel run.
For they can take off in directions, yes, any one.
Crazy thoughts become crazier still…
And story time leads to god knows, where they will.

My thinking is kind of like chasing around a tree.
You never know where the end will be.
But somewhere I eventually become truly still.
And that is where my Hubby adds into the trill.

Then the squirrel run begins again…
Light and fluffy and full to the brim.
Each day a new adventure... waits around the bend.
Live it. Love it. Write it... You'll be happier in the end.

Tick Talk

When the days stretch into evenings
When the evenings slip into nights
When the minutes pull together
Silken threads greet the sunlight

When the days span into months
When the months spin into years
With the silken moments carted
Iridescent strands will then appear.
When the threads run through the loom
When the tapestry unfolds
What might have been weak and faded
Becomes more beautiful and bold.

We are the weavers and the spinners
So each tapestry is our own
We ourselves must choose the colours
Before the edges can be sewn.

So Many

Don’t go I heard her cry,
From a door that was kept ajar.
The message very poignant,
Knowing how many had gone before.
Then given that we make a choice,
So who are we to say?
Across our small blue planet,
Would this happen anyway.
Souls and there are many,
Sacrificed in freedoms name.
Lay on the battlefields altar,
To justify, another’s gain.
We all must share the burden,
For who is there to blame.
Given the point, from their perspective,
From our view, would be the same.

A Quest for Peace

American soldiers in foreign lands
Spending their Christmas on hot desert sands

I pray for these soldier so far away
Wishing they would be home for Christmas Day

Indeed the holiday would be happy
If “Peace on Earth” blessings would come to be

How can we enjoy a Merry Christmas
If safety of our soldiers we dismiss

As we celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth
We need to acknowledge harmony’s worth

This joy that exists just one day a year
Would last much longer if throughout Earth’s sphere

All nations made a commitment to peace
And the pain of warfare would simply cease

*Entry for Carol’s contest on what would make us happy this holiday season.

Finding Peace

I walk among the weathered stones, Contemplating my life alone; Staring into the vanishing light, Praying for the courage to face the night; Fearing the endless days up ahead, I’m stuck here alone, no friends but the dead, Trapped in this place, never to be freed; I was deserted by all in my hour of need; I look around but no one is there, Filling my lonely heart with despair; The soulless blackbirds fly overhead, “Tirzah” they whisper, my name brings me dread; I’m stuck here alone with naught but my fear, The path to my future remaining unclear; I cling to the memory of my fading past; Hoping that I can find peace at last.

Whatcha Bin Smokin' Boy

Marshmallow dreams, puffy white clouds
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Get back to reality for crying out loud
Whatcha bin smokin' boy

Peace on the planet, first time in history
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Reason you're acting like this is a mystery
Whatcha bin smokin' boy

People loving people no matter their race
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Got a big smirk on this time weathered face
Whatcha bin smokin' boy

Republicans and Democrats agreeing on stuff
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Totally blown away sitting here in the buff
Whatcha bin smokin' boy

Now hang on a minute, there must be a way
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Though men have failed forever and a day
Whatcha bin smokin' boy

Call me a dreamer, there's hope in my heart
Whatcha bin smokin' boy
Let's all set our sights on a shiny new start
Start smokin' peace and joy!

This message I send to you my friend
A brand new season will soon begin

Our Father said, “It’s only a test”
So just rest in Him and do your best

The people you can not always please
So take a moment and feel the breeze

Enemy wants to knock you off guard
But his old tactics we will discord

You know Big Daddy certainly cares
Whatever the load He’ll help you bear

May Angels surround you from above
Just lift your hands high and feel His love

In-hale…Exhale…feel His peace within
In-hale…Exhale….feel His peace again

As the world shuts down
lavish ladies put on their gown

Rest comes, as they comb their hair
while others, fight the midnight air

All living lives, they had exactly detailed
not a thought goes out, to those who failed

Homeless man...where was his fall?
can any of you see or care, that no one heard his call

One tiny second, it's lost
the next one to fall....could be anyone's cost

Be wise, and look to the skies
for he is the one, you need to recognise!

Put Down NUKES, Put Up Yir' Dukes- - - - - - - --------

HUMAN BEINGS MAN...don't tell me it was necessary!
Couple hundred thousand people obliterated in a few seconds is beyond the realms of scary.

Truman you musta' been sniffin' glue know you didn't need to do it.
I can hear ya' today giving the A-ok to the Enola Gay, "Kill 'em screw it!"

And not only did you pull it once, but you saw the need to do it twice.
It wasn't like the "Little Boy" you deployed landed in a field of rice

No sir, ya' went and sent the "Fat Man" to devastate the city of Nagasaki even faster!
Just three days after the blaze reeking disaster plaster casting Hiroshima in disaster!

Now before ya' good old boys start raisin' yir' voice about December Seven!
Ramblin' off at the mouth racist claims and who is or isn't gonna be in heaven.

Half a century to think about whether or not two wrongs makes a right.
and ya' still can't see the sin in bringin' NUKES instead puttin' two dukes up in the fight?

Are you kidding me? Someone please tell me the rationale in evaporating innocent women and babies.
when the question arises of taking harmless family's lives....the answer is IFS, ANDS, or MAYBES!

I'm leaving town on a backwood's quest
in this world even lions.. need their rest

Thoughts of this solo journey make me thrill
peaceful solitude for me is such a big deal

God knows in His Kingdom I work and invest
there's not another man that feels more blessed

God's chosen angels sometime need to heal
escape life's busy rush and get away to be still

Here, out in nature, is how healing is dressed
The lion regains his roar.. oh I'm so impressed

Angels regain their wings nature's curative pill
out here you touch heaven, you see and feel

Angel Dust

Lonely and dull was the path Seeing the way, none could laugh Disease hung in the air Life seemed to go nowhere Of what use would be living If maimed, none would dare to be boasting Desperate was the current flow When hope sparked us all in one go Dust flew in from the skies Dust came in without any ties Angels cried at our plight Saddened at our darkened sight So they gave us a boon, Stardust, sparkling, in the heat of noon Silvery, shiny, deep with hue Lyrical, magical, it seemed not true Those who did inhale the dust Could do nothing except to let go of their lust Life is meant to be lived Life is meant not to be re-lived! So, come, let us sing and dance To the name of faith, in all abundance!

Seagull and the Penguin

A sea gull flew over the ocean admiring his reflection every day.
Passing over the shore, he saw penguins at work and careful play.
What an ugly bird they are he suddenly proclaimed.
They can’t fly and still they strut… know they no shame!

One day the gull was swooping down angling for a fish…
When suddenly an orca whale knocked him in the briny brink.
Snapping and churning the orca would soon have his way.
The gull was surely lost, if he could not gain the air to stay.

Moments before the whale pod arrived the penguins chose to assist.
They chose to distract the whale, giving the gull a chance to resist.
The orca didn’t care which meal he had as long as there was one…
He finally beached himself upon the shore, and still he hadn’t won.

At that point the gull realized, the penguins were really seriously cool.
They could certainly fly in the water, if maybe not the air to rule.
Now friends for life… he would scout for them safe passage to their fish.
Indeed, the gull flew away that day a little wiser, knowing he’d been remiss.

Everyone in life is different. He surmised… It’s not a choice they’ve made.
But now he knows each demands respect… in their own separate way.

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Darts

Drops of sweat slip from my furrowed brow
Eyes squint, select a number and let fly now

Miss again, a millimetre is a mile once more
Aimed for triple twenty, only got double four

The walk of shame, my oh so familiar friend
Silence broken, on alcohol I forever depend

The steel point of eyes bore into my neck
My opponent leaves me a juddering wreck

I lose the match; the wife won’t give me a kiss
I wish I could have been anything else than this...

Feel The Wind

Look at the lines begging your touch, beautifully, aerodynamically sound.
The color and aesthetics call for you to blend and wrap around.
The curves, and lines nurture you, adding layers to what you touch.
Feel the connection between body and road, a car will never do so much.
No isolation to hold you back, you’re one with the road to search.
You start with your feet planted on either side, in charge of this lofty perch.
Standing, balance it beautifully, it’s movements yours to command.
When the power goes on you’ll feel it within, together with the sound.
It’s flexible and vibrates, the likes of which will twist your thoughts around....
As you rev the motor, the power will travel your body lifting you among the clouds.
The control you have will mesmerize, as you control its very breath.
You’ll feel like a chameleon, caressing the road on which you will be blessed...
The vibrations of the road will touch you, as you ride this jewel with flair.
It feels wilder than a car, as your mind embraces it, but beware...
As it engages you heart and mind, powerful fantasies begin flowing through the air.
But pay close attention, for danger is always leering about, inattention can death
It can be primal, it can be brutal, and it can be heaven beyond compare.
But mostly it is freedom, a commodity seldom found, anywhere.
Raise your face shield. Feel the power of what you’re riding in.
The wind caresses your face with its heavy sigh, against your sensitive skin.
Stretch out your hand. Feel the wind. Allow it between your fingers to flow so rare…
And the wind will answer in return, stroking, your body, clothes, and hair.
The feel of the wind is intoxicating, as your life with it you share.
It makes you feel in control, yes, of even the sensuous air.
The wind, and the power… beckon your sense of freedom forth.
The road goes off to the horizon, your buddies at your side.
Your lady is there snug against you. Are you ready for this ride?

Dedicated to my father Roger French riding across country at 78, my brother
Dale French riding with him, and their friend Jerry Rose.

Renewing Dr Martin L. King's dream

A day etched in infamy

hacked from earthly dust
as wrought by unwary same,
the smoking bandit rises
to stake its deadly claims.

as history bears us notice
for peace is what it tells,
the smoking bandits beguiling
its heart be set in hell.

the smoking bandits theft be swift
its booty paid in death,
but no one in the land dare speak,
just stare with laden breath.

blood and war on mangled boors
the smoking bandit spews,
and reaps reward for all the more,
its victims whom ill knew

forever then let us lay smoking bandit
to rest; begone like setting sun.
and pry away its mask from face-

Tactless Travel

Let’s travel to the edge of the earth

With sunshine in our veins

Let’s see how much this life is worth

As we leave out all our pains

We’ll go for miles, and we won’t stop

The sun will soon attack

Our lives we’ll trade, our hearts we’ll swap

We’re never coming back

A whole new start, a second chance

Floats softly into June

We’ll wade our time in cheap romance

As we howl at a transient moon

An ice cold flood of independence

Forms our own wicked sense of style

Our world needs more transcendence

This world just needs to smile

The ringing in our ears is no longer just a sound

The image of freedom is no longer just a dream

Because this limitless world is just a playground

Or so it may seem

A Piece of World Peace

Close your eyes and imagine this-
Paradise in a place of bliss.

World peace in a piece of the world.
Without loss and bombs never hurled.

Snow that falls that doesn't freeze.
Sun that shines that doesn't cease.

Fields of green with flies of butter.
People that laugh and never mutter.

Manners are common and minds are at ease.
People are thankful and always say please.

Lovers with a flame that doesn't smolder.
Aging in years but never look older.

A land where the forever is real.
A scene where the sick always heal.

Throbbing aches and pains that never hurt,
Families and friends that never dessert.

As impossible as it all may seam,
Welcome to the place where I dream.

Believe and Forgive

Introduction: Sometimes your life sinks down a little,
And when it does try and fight for Islam and have faith in Allah,
ask for His divine guidance, believe and respect everyone,
don't hold any grudge against someone,
forgive them and surrender completely to Allah
And believe in His graceful light.

Don't fall apart,
When light fades away
Look deep in your heart,
Allah will aid your way

Nothing feels wrong,
While nature sings song
Days go along,
Until we're gone

Don't deceive,
Just learn to heed
Do believe,
And you will forgive.

Polar Bears And The Penguins

Some times they say the great and mighty do fall…
And the penguin story of greatness, should be heard by all.
Polar bears are mighty and cunning with massive brute strength.
But they messed with the penguins, a mistake, I do think.

The polar bears went after the penguins and cute little chicks.
So you’ll never guess what those cute little penguins did.
Using the most courageous penguins as a target so nice.
They lured all the polar bears, for the first time, out onto the ice.

The greedy bears moved out in force for the kill.
But the penguins pushed the ice flows into the currents windmill.
So intent on dinner and full of themselves, were they that day…
That the polar bears didn’t notice the ice caught in the currents sway.

The polar bears were way out to sea, before noticing their plight.
And, by then, the penguins were safely at home tucked in for the night.
You might say, the current was a friend to the penguins that day.
For it eventually sent those polar bears to the North Pole far away.

Now the moral of this story is here to easily understand.
Brute strength is not the greatest thing to cherish; it is far greater to plan…
And, never turn your back on a penguin I say.
They’re the reason there’s no polar bears at the South Pole, to this day.

We are We can We must

Foreign are the thoughts of others
Like the minds of past lovers

Thoughts to which we may surmise and guess
Intentions remain questions, answers yet to confess

Reasoning reached through the labyrinth of the mind
Shared reactions due to the nature of our kind

Fractured we stand, divided by difference
Splintered we are, lacking repentance

We may pass, but hope remains, burning from within
We may ignore, but hurt remains, entrenched in sin

Pride leads to want, leads to power, leads to war
War leads to fight, leads to hurt, leads to more

Rise and fall, we cycle through civilization and destruction
Start and stall, we succumb to self-imposed attrition

Time unfolds and we're forced to react
We constantly plan, but we often lack the tact

To mend the cracks that divides our kind
To embrace the momentum of our time

To believe we can and must strive for more
To turn the key and walk through the door

(justification is not where, but why)
-to pay the ultimate sacrifice-

Militaries are for protection not regression,
but dictators use them to force reelection,
and some, to maintain ethnic separation.

A soldier is more than one's pride, land or oil,
why misutilize them on someone else's soil?

However, we must remain ready to fight,
some like changing plans in the night.

Soldiers should be sent to deter and protect,
  some Nations respect, others neglect.

Nations should "never" war without reason,
some Nations like doing it every season.

It is like a lust that some must,
so time to vote, who can we trust?

But, crises and warfare have not been rare,
it's Prophecy, this is why we must care.

So, beware of the "Mark of the Beast,"
those unprepared will become its feast!

Before the "Last Battle," when they all gather,
make peace with GOD, nothing else will matter.

Soon, HE will come and take some home,
to live where the Angels and Saints roam.

I have watched and admired the astonishing beauty of a sunset,
usually at this time, dreamers and lovers put their thoughts to rest.

It isn't a surprise to know that all poets love colorful sunsets,
why would I reveal this secret to those dreamy, sleepy heads?

Am I one of them, begging time to slow down instantly,
to let me contemplate all the colors of a pretty tapestry?

But who weaved it with such sheer perfection and exquisite taste?
Were hands ever used, or was it a powerful voice saying, " Create! "

Some don't believe it was created by a Supreme Being who chose the delicate hues
to enhance the dazzling sunset with a divine touch...why are they still so dubious?

There was an apparent reason why God gave peaceful sunsets a different image...
to fill the believer's heart with that immense awe and praise His sacred name.

And with the true conviction that all poets love colorful sunsets,
I declare their magnificence while the evening peace spreads.

Your Hurt Just Hurts So Bad

I know you hurt - I know you work,
You've never recognized your worth.

I feel your pain - its every day,
Please let your fears just wash away.

I know your scared - it's never fair,
Please realize I'm always there.

Your hope is gone - this feels so wrong,
Forever I shall sing our song.

I see your cuts- were stuck in ruts,
Please promise me you'll shed no blood.

I love your heart - a brand new start,
We never will be torn apart.

We'll run away - that flawless day,
I promise we will be okay.

Brand New Day

Introduction: Some days you feel alive, some days you don''s the elegance of life which many face in the days of existence. Through our own fray whatever it may be, we look out for a brand new way towards the light. We wander, more or less as a rabbit looking for its new home; crawling in and out within this baffled world to find serenity - To find a brand new day filled with everlasting aurora of peace and contentment.

Sometimes the sky is blue, sometimes it looks so white
Sometimes the truth hurts too, sometimes it's blinding bright
Sometimes this life feels short, sometimes it seems so long
Sometimes we go abroad, and at times we feel belonged

Sometimes we want to heal, sometimes we just let go
Sometimes we feel so real, sometimes we feel hollow
Sometimes we don't forgive, sometimes we don’t forget
Sometimes we feel captive, and at times we do regret

Sometimes we sure wonder and pray to leave things back
Sometimes we surrender and we get back in track
Sometimes we learn to deem the truth from the lies
Sometimes we feel the change and start a whole new life

One day we see one light that brings in so much hope
It shows one true love, in a whole new view
That day may be today, reading this here and now
These words aren't just to rhyme, but to put a vivid smile

A smile which won't leave off today
As we all know it's a brand new day.

Thrice-Time Tllings

Sweet angel bells caress the air
With tlling, tlling, tlling

Thrice they chime their gentle tllings
Then thrice again once more

With fluted softness, the tllinging brings
A chorale of soul-lights – Heaven sings

Thrice they sigh their gentle tllings
Then thrice just as before

And me? So sad? Such a sad, poor thing
Am soul-brushed - . tlling, tlling, tlling

Brought home to life, come home to love,
Throw wide my stained glass door

As hummingbirds, afloat mid-air
Still their rainbow wings

Astride the currents of the thrice-time tllings
Transformed beyond their core

                        But I’ve a book-hound in my blood
                        Preferring books to flowers

Each page I touch With loving hand
I trace the print snug there
The whitest page grants me delight
                        The yellow brings despair

The old bookshops on dusty streets
                        Are storehouses of dreams
                        They guard the dancing continents
And trolls that bridge the streams

And for each story hidden there
                         Mid pages silken glories
                         An offering of bouncing tales
                         replace bland bedtime stories

                        And on this paper
                        Fine or rough
                        my fingers gently roam
Safely in these books I find my place--
                        And build myself a home.

The Scent of Water

Her man was woven into love spell
By another woman, not of her smell.

Bewitchery, she will not tolerate
To the perfumery she’ll calculate.

Apothecary had the perfect answer
An exotic earthy whiff from vetiver!

Happy she was her man found her erotic -
But, alas, it was only episodic!

She spritzed the air with essence of rose petal -
Then a reminiscence of the betrayal!

Love and romance the attar generated
Very soon enough it evaporated.

Memorable scent of basil she wore next,
Pleasurable things her man not to forget,

In vain, it was she who cannot forget -
In her mind fresh the err her man had make,

Scent of her rival made her green with envy,
Scent of betrayal made her very angry,

Desperate but hopeful, she went to a lone edifice;
Temperate and humble, the scent of water brought her peace.

Better Days

With battles fought, the wounds endured
these days shall pass, I am assured

The veil of winter shall lift in spring
A bird in mourning shall one day sing

But with the cloak of darkest day
comes bitter wind and skies of gray

A tidal wave to calm the sea
upon the shore, I wait for thee

My heavy heart sinks into sand
until you come and take my hand

A promise of despair no more
to find the love I'm waiting for

A rescue from the rolling shore
and peaceful days forevermore

Zen's Poetry

(inner sight)
-Of Mind´s Eye-

*dedicated to all poets.

In silence our inner minds
  motionless trying to find.

In space dark as night
  our spiritual inner-light.

Spiritual vibrations beyond self
  where only "I" is left.

Flowing with the rythmn of humanity
  far unscathed by mankind´s insantity.

Observing man´s struggle, love and hope
mentally noting in poetry for some to cope.

While earth pulsates in chaos
  amongst GOD'S heavenly stars.

Poets receiving mystic portions
  about humanity across oceans.

Bathing in moments of stillness
  celebrating HIS wilderness.

From an inner zen state to see
beyond sight of you and me.

Magic Of Peace

Doves soaring high in the sky.
And the cool breeze rushing by.
Leaves rustling in the air.
Beautiful flowers tucked in the hair.
Standing on a grassy plain.
No sorrows no pain.
A contented heart.
Life as sweet as a lemon tart.
Smiles all around.
Every sound a pleasant sound.
Sitting in the shade of big trees.
I feel the magic of Peace.
I feel the magic of Peace.

The Blessing for My Book

As my job and health failed me... I dreamed to someday put together a
book of poetry and this will be the blessing it will begin with...

As I sit here weaving my poetry
Into the semblance of a book…
I find that I must ask Gods’ blessing…
For the journey, that together we have took.

I find I must bow my head in thought…
Over this book that together we have wrought
As my hands clasp oh so reverently and earnestly over my heart…
As I believe his help brought the words together that I sought.

And God set the journey that shaped what now before you begins…
He helped me find the words that reached through my heart to my pen.
I pray the poems will be worthy of what he showed me as my life’s art.
And upon this book I honestly pray that his blessing he will impart.

A Page Behind Glass

Sunlight peaks across my room…
Unfinished thoughts still do loom…
Like paper rain ideas are scattered and overcast…
In a four walled world I breathe behind cracked glass…
Inhaling my own solitude and peace…
Where inspiration can slowly release…
I peek outside just for a glance…
Steeling views of color and romance…
My walls now painted from inside to out…
Where mystery is removed along with doubt…

Silence,the word tells a lot
as its influence around it
performing the task
which can't be done without it

The mean world around you
will never let you have few moments of peace
nor will it ever allow you
to roar around like the bold seas .

Often during tiny breaks
of silence in the day
I think upon an idea
which I really can't say

Silences in your life
can though be a scary one
but what it does to me is
make me realize that I'm the only one

Silence gives us a chance
to rewind the sequence of events
which have gone past
leaving back their scents

Today's busy life
makes it real tough
to find a moment of peace
and little silence to seize

Days go by as usual
but do remember my words
search for silence in any strife
for that is the ultimate goal of life

A Horizons' Gold

Flourishing leaves and solemn sunsets,
Yield sensual feelings to never forget.

A brisk moment of natural beauty,
From an evening suns' casting duty.

Staring in awe like a child's first snow,
Gazing through panes in a bedroom window.

A horizons' gold for eyes to behold,
Dimming the earth with shadows so cold.

Fine-ration the seconds,
sweet-savor the sight.
The slimming light beckons,
just prior to night.

-Yours Truly

Price of Fame

I don’t know if I’m afraid of how it would change me or the people who linger ‘round
Too much, too young is an over occurrence these days now
The shallow moments become grieved for and begged some more
Because you’re no longer in charge of captive moments no more
But at least you love me, you love me some more
Your opinion over mine the one that counts no more
Change my perspective of privacy oh please oh please
Alter famous leads to support spiritual ecstasies
I dream that being on top of your art would be sufficient for public satisfaction
Reality show where your enemies await your falls in action
Quoted “Still be a good neighbor and neighborly good shall be upon you”
Good people of a world still exist and I am undoubtedly among the few
Don’t need the much of lush
All I need is a key foundation of trust
Then we got something in this life
More valuable than the fifteen you were given and the promises of “oh, you just might”.

Remember Them

Tears in the eyes of the young and the old.
A poppy on our chests, our gratitude told.

For those who died and those who did not,
We shall remember them, they'll not be forgot.

spilling nothing but lies
hopefuly they will meet their demise

putting words in your ear
but nothing's made clear

they contradict
claming to predict

that many will die
but thats just to save lives

so they say
but is it really the right way

is this just to bury
what the truth may carry?

they think this is art
the way they make soldiers depart

they claim they help
although they make them yelp

heh, but dont worry
i could of just made up this story

Another Crisis

Copyright © 2014

Mankind rolling dices
  causing another crisis.

From police shootings
  to hoodlums looting.

Every month a new crisis
  and we still have ISIS.

Did Revelations truly see
  a certain crisis before WW3?

Mankind rolling dices
  causing another crisis.

Melt down those weapons of Mutually Assured Destruction
or thermonuclear war will be the ultimate extermination.

Yes, the World is now MAD
and we'll miss what we had.

Or, will it be you, or you
who reduced us to a few?

Peace Symbols

Peace Symbols

 Can something beautiful
be the absence of ugliness?

Can a gleaming sunrise
blind us to the slums,

the silver glow of moon’s fullness
awaken evil’s spawn.

Can those who yearn to teach
o’ershadow those who will not learn,

a vision shared
open the eyes of those willfully blind.

Must freedom
be the absence of imprisonment,

the fragile prayer between wars.

Is not beauty, beauty,
regardless of whose eyes behold it.

Could we not come together
touching beauty

and know peace.

After Drowning

When I found the perfect pebble
after looking all day long
I turned it over in my hands
with reverence like a psalm

 Rolling roughly down the river
it had changed it's power surge
no longer forcing fate along
it learned instead to merge.

I had in mind a painted weight
to hold my poems down,
covered all in daisies or flying fish
or clowns,

But time stood still upon my face
a oneness filled the air
I knew it must not leave this place
and so I left it there.

Mountains High, Oceans Deep

Ankle deep water, ebbing, seeping
From melting ice to flood is leaking
To form a rapid river flowing
Ounce by ounce this stream is growing

To wash into an oval pool besides
Then rush to meet the rising tides
Of oceans deep and full and wide
Where froth upon the billows ride

Upon a yellow sandy shore
Where shells collect up by the score
Displayed in jars in seaside shops
Among golden pears and red gum drops

From mountains high and oceans deep
Where eagles soar and dolphins leap
From high above to down below
So much beauty to love and know

If I Die Before I Wake

At a corner standing in despair
I cried aloud into the midnight air
Brought my fists into a rage
Scowled at my lonely, self-hate
I had no friends or even close family,
All I had was my imagination, and it was driving me crazy
So I hollered and screamed like a wild banshee
Cursing the things I couldn't grasp in my psyche
The shadows stalked while my heart just bled
I was praying to God that within his next miracle I would be dead
Just like a relic an angel came to me
Eased me of my faults and lulled me into a dream
A beautiful world where hope is a beacon and despair is gone from sight
I grabbed her hand and remembered all of a sudden
Of love that gentle rhythm; and my depression escaped without a fight
So as my eyes twitched open and I quickly looked around
Just like that the angel was gone and so was my frown
If you read this poem please quote only this
In this world our love and compassion is the only thing that should exist

Hawk and the Sparrows

The hawk was flying low: he was the fiercest in the sky.
He bullied all the little birds, and flew off with their lives.
The little birds were peaceful, and didn’t want to fight.
To them it was better: to run and hide, then finally to take flight.
Day after day he drove them closer, to the proverbial, final brink.
Then came the day, they rose up, and no more away to shrink.
Soon there would be hatchlings, so the bully, simply had to go.
No longer were they timid, it was their time to truly show.
Banding together they hatched a plan to run the bully day and night.
One can fight, one or two, but a mob shows way more might.
Constantly in pursuit, the bully was never allowed to rest…
The bully finally admitted defeat, and even moved his precious nest.
He could not protect it, if they kept him running away, and stressed.

The bully had finally learned the truth: that is my moral here…
The small may look an easy mark, but are not as helpless as they appear.
If the meek are brought to their knees… look out my bully… dear.

Drowning out the ungrateful worldly ire
Silver wings strumming a sweet smelling fire

Remember Me

As we lay him down to rest, we say our last goodbyes.
The parting words are hardest, as we send him up high.
The life of a child cut short, but he finally has his peace.
His mom cries and runs a hand down her dress, flattening a crease.
His voice comes to us, like the wind.
"Forgive me for what I have done, forgive me for my sin.
Do not weep for me, do not shed any tears.
Promise me one thing, that you will face your fears.
I love you all but I must go.
Remember me, but without the slightest woe."

It's The Beauty Inside That Counts

Beautiful people
Under God's steeple

Just reach out
Stomp Holler Shout

Let one know
They're Loved So

Inspirations Aspirations
Show Em Representation

Tell Em their doing a great job
Never call them a big fat slob

Lend them your ear
Help wipe their tears

Illuminate their thoughts
Help them with their sought

Open new doors
Let less fortunate sleep on maple floors

Spare a dime
For you commuted no crime

Break bread if you must
For in God we trust

So beautiful people shine on
Come join all in this Heavenly bond

Timeless beauty to behold
Wisdom, glory, sights untold

Mountains crowning into crystal skies
White clouds floating gently by

Soft breeze blowing, caressing leaves
Whispered nothings to the trees

Evening's shadow begins to dance
In hidden corners, a stolen glance

Scents so strong and warm and true
Mingling sweet, the earth's perfume

Filling body, soul, and mind
Misty memories of another time

A time which can't quite be recalled
Yet forever lingers through it all

Water trickling over rocks
Mind at ease, all worry stops

Wrapped in comfort’s warm embrace
Abounding, peaceful, calm and grace

Nature’s beauty filled with song
A tranquil scene to dwell upon

A bird flutters its wings,
Propelling itself into flight.

A gargoyle stares down at
London with its gruesome smile.

A whale swims slowly,
Its huge mouth open to eat.

Under the ground, a mother
Rabbit nurses her young.

A boy lays sleeping,
Darkness falling.

All the places we can go,
None is as pleasant as home.

Where From Here

Where from Here

How would we find light by embracing the dark
All the hate and fear men seem to embark

We know this in our hearts but still raise our sword
Gods given a peaceful loving world that we should always move toward

The world we create is from a sick and broken mind
If our egos don’t soften it will be the end of mankind

Eons of hate passed down through the ages
Taught to our children given rise to unknown rages

If we look to God we can break the bonds of this fear
And finally live as one and joyfully see clear

For life is meant to work and this is Gods plan
For there has been love in our hearts since all life began

It’s not letting God in but it’s letting Him out
For he is part of us all and you can’t live in doubt

The pulse of the universe lives in every beating heart
This loving creation that we all are apart

So lets put all else aside and make peace our dream
And rise up to faith and become one with the unseen

In truth there simply has to be
A way to cause the world to see
From here we can not get to there
This place can only serve despair
Choices made and sides begot
Fear be fed and hatred taught
A distance furthered in between
Illusion wrapped up in a dream
Self inflicted pain and rage
Caught up in this twisted cage
Where heaven’s light doth barely seep
Lost from love in places deep
Children who deserve a life
Suffer through unending strife
All because we can not see
Our false individuality
How is one worth more or less?
Based on where they lay their heads?
Until each mother’s safe and fed
And every child’s life is led
Until all people hold it true
That you are me and I am you
This downward spiral’s sure to spread
Leading to it’s own sick end
And those who sadly can’t believe
In peace, love, and prosperity
Will continue on this evil trend
From fathers on to grandchildren
Damning us eternally
To live in false reality
Separation feeds the beast
Until the masses pray for peace
Seeking mercy fair and sweet
Alas in truth we’ll be set free

Be Awake

Feeling the world is big, with no power to see.
Saying it is so large no one can sense a degree.

Has been said you can change your world
Changing heartaches into happiness unfurled.

Power is in your hands, to change all things.
Faith flowing in your soul, the spirit brings.

Visions of your heart and mind will confirm.
Futures are made, do not wallow and squirm.

We all have a power and a purpose in life.
Seek and find, stay sharp as a knife.

Power is in your hands, decisions and choices.
What you hear in your mind is you; not voices.

Choice is a powerful tool, for to use and make.
Awakening the roads to travel, be sure you’re awake.

The Power of You

Human nature the epitome of despair
Ask around, does anybody care?

The submissive to the strong and the strong to the circumstance
Historically falling into the same traps by chance

Prove a point by looking the other way
Or step-up and change today

The problem with living in this Democracy?
We can’t see the walls when we assume we’re free

When simple ideas are fed with simple lies
The power overwhelms the opposition’s cries

We live to love
Some obsessed with the power above

The power of faith can blind
Sometimes true answers are harder to find

Criticism is an instinct
Try to slow down and think

The ideal for you
Can’t always be true

The world can’t change overnight
But we’ll never know if we never try

The winds of autumn blow
Creating change

The crux of the matter
Do I bend or do I break?

Willow knows the truth
She may weep besides waters deep

But she drinks in courage to face the future
And bends when winds do blow

And in her serenity - she survives
'She accepts the things she cannot change'

What Did I Ever Do To You

There are many things that are caught by the naked eye
They could be weird or strange or even crazy things that'll make you cry

Think my strangest encounter thus far
Was a little skunk caught in a snare from my car

In underbrush and weeds so high
Heard it's whimpers then saw it's final sigh

Razor edges wrapped around its head
For sure I thought it was dead

As I moved in closer to take a peek
Its hind back arched and sprayed oh how it reeked

Poor little guy I could do nothing for
Except call D.N.R and cry once more

As they placed it in a steel cage
Heard the officer say it was that of young age

When do you think one will learn
Gods creatures did nothing in return

Hope For A New Generation

The death of a saint, a martyr to some
The death of a hero, a husband to one

A soldier turned humanitarian, he cared for all
He attempted to hurdle that natural barrier, to climb that human wall

To give up his dreams and aspirations
To relinquish his will of self-preservation

To benefit all of human kind
To alter how we interact, to change our time

Such a task he set upon with stalwart dedication
He preached caring and forgiveness, not revenge or vindication

He loved all regardless of their color, religion, or creed
He served everyone, just as he had served his country

With a fire and passion not seen in lesser men
He truly understood what it meant to be human

Yet not everyone shared his vision of peace
More blood was spilled and the fighting did not cease

He carried on despite the pain of knowing so much
He often relied upon the love of his family for a crutch

But there is a point at which every man breaks
His feeling of failure overwhelmed his need to be great

However even in his darkest hour, his hope did not falter
His compassion was renewed with the help of a different altar

A belief built upon the hope that people can change
He had experienced so much, developed such a broad emotional range

It seemed that he was ready to change us all
What a tragic thing it is when greatness does fall

Alone in the darkness of his room the killer did sit
The hero was shot and killed by a man who was painfully desperate

Seeking a greatness of his own
He wasn’t satisfied with the world he was shown

And so died the dream of the hero, this saint
The martyr departed and his fire burned faint

Yet hope never dies
It is in everything from the way we believe to a newborns cries

We would do well to remember that ordinary people have had extraordinary dreams
Amongst all this bloodshed there is more to life than it seems

We are all here together, for what purpose we do not know
However if we recognize those around us, we can always help each other grow

To always be working towards that next step, to be supporting that re-birth
For love is all around us and it is the most important thing on Earth

The Aftermath

There is light at the end of the tunnel
Good days are here to clean the funnel,

Those harsh conditions are over
which makes the sparrows and swallows to hover,

Food and prices of commodities are stable
which turns the perilous days into a fable,

I can now walk on the street without fear
This peace makes everyone so dear.

*dedicated to all peace lovers.

Death whispers:
My darling, I am here
You are not meant to persevere
Broken bones and broken backs
Will not be healed with pins and tacks
The daily war with packs that freeze
Will in a flash turn memories
The pain that tears your guts and mind
Will be a trail that’s left behind

Her Life is sweet
Or so it was
Before a surgeon’s saw and buzz
Before another surgeon’s plead
I must repair small misdeed
Mistakes will happen, d e a r,
he quipped
an actor even makes a slip
you signed a waiver
lawyer said
the part where you might end up dead
or maybe deaf or maybe blind
but your left foot just drags behind
and oh your little aches and pains
look great in court---a money gain
and so you’re really in good shape--
just a little stitch and tape
He smiles a bit about the money
to him it’s all a little funny
sitting in his painless chair
flicking back his painless hair

He’s out the door and she’s alone
turns off the lights unplugs the phone
her body’s screaming : overload
her nervous system drones: implode

picks up a glass from tray by bed
she curses all the dunderheads
tongue curls disdain from metal taste
But not a drop must go to waste
And, as she waits sun slithers in
Like a cat with milk on chin
Just as she muses this fine day
Could be her last on earth to stay
From toes an elegance – an ease -- a bliss--
Relief—hurls echoes of God’s kiss

Run real fast to a far away land ...

One day it will stop, and i'll take your hand
We will run real fast, to a far away land
Everything will be good, and we will smile
Everything we have done, will have been worthwhile

In this land
there's no lies
In this land
nobody cries
In this land
We'll be okay
In this land
We will stay

Upon this day, the clouds part for stars
We will watch and know, this place is ours
So far away, that the sun will always shine
So far where the scents, and the scenes intertwine

In this land
you'll love me
In this land
we'll be free
To this land
I hope you'll come
Cos in this land
I need someone

I walked along the dirty street.
Many a mile beneath my feet.

The smell of candy filled the night.
A carnival of sheer delight.

I tasted once and tasted twice.
Despite that angry groups advice.

Meetings, greetings call a friend.
My mind was closed; I did not bend.

Still I ventured down that road.
With blinders on but still it showed.

I held on tight to my own will.
I lacked the faith and suffered still.

An introvert I soon became.
A reclusive darkness hid my shame.

I longed to feel the sun so bright.
I finally hit my knees one night.

Pride and fear departed then.
A burden lifted from within.

Today I live by faith and prayer.
A newfound truth I'll gladly share.

Just to see this day God made me blessed.
There fore No negativity will touch me

Room To Run

I lay on the ground with my hands over the edge...
I have felt the flames of hell kiss the back of my head...

My lips face the sky where my kisses struggle to reach...
My limbs are stretched and pulled apart for the devils feast...

There is a glow of light inches from my fingertips as I crawl...
And then whispered words of peace craddle my upcoming fall...

I'm now back on my feet and held up by faith and wisdom...
But always caught in between the two with little room to run...

Valley of the Souls

Way up in the mountaintops
Where even time seems to stop
Buried like a chunk of coal
Lies the valley of the souls
The beauty takes your breath away
For this is where the angels pray
Snow capped peaks standing tall
Surround the valley like a castle wall
Doing all that they can do
To keep the valley hid from view
I stumbled upon it one day
Searching for a place to pray
I felt so very all alone
With a heart as cold as stone
It took me better than a week
To ascend the mountain peak
As I stumbled across the mountain top
My beating heart seemed to stop
As water filled my humble eyes
I prayed the truth of twisted lies
Of God I ask a single plea
Let your Son come unto me
As I descended to the valley floor
I found the peace I was searching for
To all I had gained and all I had lost
The breeze took away the cost
Into my soul it was slowly burned
Make use of all the lessons learned
One day I shall have a spiritual birth
For all that’s born returns to the earth
My spirit will fly beautiful and free
Beyond all we know and all we see
To meet the maker who made us whole
And be welcomed into the valley of the souls

I am saddened by the world today.
Hypocrisy stands in the way.

No wonder Jesus said get out!
Tossing tables all about!

This is a place where we should pray.
Not show off our ride in the driveway.

What's up with gossip disguised as prayer?
I'm scared to death to go back in there!

Still, I know I should just turn my head.
If not For God I would be dead.

I am justifying my own fear.
I know the truth, and hold it dear.

I sang the songs up in the choir.
I closed my eyes to fears desire.

I can do the same now that I'm grown.
A humble tear down my cheekbone.

Lord, help me make it to the door.
Plant my knees against the floor.

From now until the final end.
This House of Pain I must attend.

Idealists speak out all day
And wonder why the worlds this way;
They ask, why can’t we live in peace
Instead of being ill at ease;
Where all men live in harmony
And war is just a memory.
A realist responds in kind
I’m of a difference of mind.
I see all good and evil reign
Both equally in one domain.
Their efforts for a win must fail
The vying is to no avail.
Mans personality is split
Espousing both you must admit.

Fishing Salmon

Sun shinning cool breeze river water.
Lake glass underneath shaded trees swimming otter.

Wondering if the fish is ever to going bite.
Line in water with a non floating bobber gripping just right.

Bait on tight waiting impatiently.
Wishing for a strike from the greatest of Kings.

Soon will be a battle between me and fish.
Experiences will tell when I eat that salmon dish.

Both Patient and Prudent

Both Patient and Prudent

When I grew up wanted to be like you
Continually write poems each day a few
In comfort of my home with wife live
Much attention to God be sure to give.

Love for wife, ensure she receives it all
Not be a big bragger and others appall
Maybe have occasional change of heart
New venture in life be sure to try and start.

So now for what new venture should I plan
End up in heaven because God said I can
If both very patient and prudent I will be
There is no limit to what I can do and see.

Broken Hearted

Being broken hearted happens every where to every one
Does it always mean every one changes their idea or tone?
Everyone has "the one" out there for them
Why wouldnt they have the one, everyone is a gem to someone
Why is there hearts in people it will only hurt you
at the end it gets broken at the end of the day it doesn't matter what you do
Don't leave any one broken hearted
it will only tare yourself apart
Being broken hearted happens every where to every one
Does it always mean every one changes their idea or tone?

I Stood Still

Standing there, silently, on that hill,
With head raised, I stood still.

Watching white clouds pass over me,
Moving steadily and just letting me be.

Drawing me into the endless beauty I saw,
Inspiring me to view the bees, in awe.

Bees that moved, so freely, in the air;
A brief encounter, yet, I saw them there.

It was so enchanting to watch them pass,
Such a memory that will always last.

Oh how very small, inevitably they were,
Yet, eagerly they went to quietly serve.

Carried by just a soothing, soft breeze,
Proving much more than the eye could see.

A mysterious force which took those bees,
To many places like floating light leaves.

Those lovely leaves that return each year,
A welcoming visit that's always kept dear.

So enriched I felt, standing on that hill,
Oh-yes, I am glad that I stood still.

Moaning for what's to come

Shadows of evil, go hither I say!
My spiritual rifle will blow you away!

Don't even try to get my attention.
Flickers of light with colors that glisten.

You are deceiving and not welcome here.
Today you are leaving; Do I make myself clear?

Armed with protection through faith I stand tall.
I see through your reflection of fear on my wall.

Strong and seductive you prey on the weak.
Holding souls captive and through them you speak.

Through chaos you thrive causing pain and despair.
To the people who strive to be righteous and fair.

See, I know your game and I'll fight with my sword.
You know his name he's your rival the Lord.

Your obsession and lust over me will soon end.
My Salvation's a must and I'm not going to bend.

Shadow of darkness, go hither I say!
Back to the starkness of Hell you will stay!

It's hard sometimes to go with the flow,
Patience makes it easier, this I know.

We need to relax and slow down,
I get too busy, this makes me frown.

Acceptance and love are a good start,
A peaceful mind helps a loving heart.

Children can be trying at times,
This is when I write my rhymes.

I like to get on my knees to pray,
What a good way to start out the day.

Feeling peaceful is like the calming seas,
Patience is what brings me peace.

Life is not always fair,
God's love is always there.

Heart of the Valiant: Thirteen Monks

Thirteen men of doubt we were; forsaken from our own minds.
We weren't like our masters. We were like raw iron with no grind.
Without any experience and faith, we seemed weak to all.
Yet, we were the thirteen that were said to hear the call.

We were mined from our deposits, and forged into a force.
A force of will, strength, faith, and courage, we were no longer coarse.
Thirteen men of strong will we became; the force of serenity.
Our offense being water, and defense being earth, this was our identity.
War has broken loose. The greediness of man stole our lands.
As thirteen we were chosen; to risk life for peace while we stand.
Against one-thousand men, while outnumbered, we were still stronger.
Our twenty-six hands turned to that of ten-thousand. We took doubt no longer.

One-thousand men defeated, but no lives taken; the hand of peace spoke.
Will is never lost. It is only found. When attained, men are one not broke.
Thirteen guardians of courage we remained; from ore to edge.
Thirteen men of realization we became. Of peace and faith we pledge.

382 The Poet's Eyes See Nothing Less

Daisies flare in April bloom
Springtime glares the placid moon
Life in vibrant color shines
The rainbow as it intertwines.
Such is the beauty of life's display
Awaiting the solemn approach of May
On the blue Jay's trail of twisted trill
As the taciturn night proclaims, be still.
   Farther through the meadow's brook
The salmon wrestle the upstream nook
Crooked into the day's delight
As twilight sprinkles the stars of night.
As the oceans become the portrait blue
For love the painting resembles two
And life can carry often blind
The dreams of April intertwined.
With the touch of daisies upon the bloom
The fragrant mistress besets the croon
Oftentimes in genteel caress
The poets eyes see nothing less.

Have All Been in Heaven

Have All Been in Heaven

While wondering where all the time went,
Asked God to graciously give me a hint;
Might be near well when I was wishing
Or times you found me to be fishing.

Throughout life poems have been writing;
Were great and by Queen she was knighting;
A Poet Laureate want to end up being
Title on me by President be decreeing.

Made deal with God after I did wrangle;
Make me become a bright, new angel;
Have everyone in heaven start to rejoice;
Vast improvements were applied to my voice.

My fingers, forever flew through the air,
Writing beautiful poems beyond compare;
God read them not finding anything wrong,
And each one became an unbelievable song.

There is Presley, Porter and Charlie Pride,
And Rich and Ritter romping right beside,
Wagging their tails and singing slick songs;
Now are all in heaven where each one belongs.

Dream of Change {Chain in Couplet Form}

In my dream I hear a sound
Sound the alarm all around
Around and around we go
Go on a journey through the soul
Soul and heart do address
Address what is on my chest
Chest pumped and looking good
Good like a block of wood
Wood are you to blind to see
See that is no longer me
Me myself I am free
Free from what I used to be
Be no less than who you are
Are you not like a star?
Star that is shining bright
Bright like a neon light
Light that torch and let it burn
Burn your bridges till you learn
Learn to let your homeboys know
Know that from my life you must all go
Go in peace and try to see
See the peace inside of me
Me myself I now detest
Detest these tattoos on my chest

The Chain poem uses the last
word in the sentence as the
first word in the following
sentence. {I don't know why
it was removed from the poetry
forms}. I decided to combine
it with the Couplet form. {I
guess I was bored}.

A risk taker is an adventurer, a taster of the fresh dew;
never satisfied until he has found that something so new.

Celestial bodies are clearly seen on a starless and mild night,
when the grayish sky invites a painter to invent his own light.

So fly up and glide over your extraordinary planet, and finally discover
what poets and dreamers only imagine to exist in their passionate gesture.

The unmitigated impudence of this season has already brought its first, despised pang;
changing emerald leaves to dull auburn, reminding me of the briefness of life's span.

Can't find any excitement in the boring ways that spoil your day and make you sluggish?
Try flying up and glide over this planet's panorama that can grant the spectator's wish.

Earth-bound with that satiated feeling, departing from a glorious view and a gibbous moon;
glad to land on a snowless ground, too anxious to send up, on drifting winds, my red balloon.

If I had a Child

If I had a child,
I would stroke her head for a while

As she drifts into a trance of sleep,
Counting one-by-one the sheep

Found in her imagination,
She can live within her creation

When she is finally as quiet as a mouse,
I will turn out all the lights in the house

And creep back into my own room
To join my soon-to-be-groom

We will have ourselves adjoined
Until we hear little footsteps, sounding like a coin

Pattering down the hall
Until we see her face, cutest of them all

Say, "I had a nightmare"
I'll reply, "Come here and bring your teddy bear"

If I had a child,
I would stroke her head for a while

As she drifts into a trance of sleep,
Counting one-by-one the sheep

I will finally rest back my head,
Thinking, oh how nice it is when this whole thing is read.

Forest Faeries

Hidden among the foliage of the giant spruce trees
High amidst the branches where nobody sees
Dwells lively little faeries of the dappled forest scene
Dancing in the sunlight and the deep and leafy green

Entire faerie gardens filled with hope and peace
Dancing in the shadows and flowers so cerise
Following the dirt roads to a place that’s so serene
To the crossing of the rainbow to places yet unseen

Conjuring up their magic to make wishes all come true
As they dance and run and flitter in colors they imbue
Blowing wonderous spells in bubbles far and wide
Being ever ready to be with you at your side

Only if Lady Liberty Came to Life

She has stood gacefully in the harbor for years.
She witnesses the peoples happiness, defeats, and tears.

This lady definately has a lot on her mind, she definately has a lot to say.
The very momnt they end this war, will be a great day.

We must unite as one, together we all stand.
She encourages you to join her, it's easy, just take her hand.

Only lonely cold nights she had conversation with the man in the moon.
His face full of worry, and he wished our soldiers would come home soon.

She will continue to hold that torch, this being our guiding light..
She will stand for equality, and for all that is right.

She may be a statue, but she has watched over this country for an eternity, or so
it would seem.
She stands proud to represent the people of the United States, and the American

And the Storm Will Speak

Left ear, right ear,
Now It's in your mind

Boom like lightning,
Mountains fiercely grind

Clouds gloom rolling,
Giants in the sky.

Storm gazes down,
Brightly glowing eye.

Angry seas swell,
Tsunami's crash down,

Earthquakes rumble,
Silence is the sound.

Glance to the stars,
The moon calmly bright

Reach to the skies,
Your hand starts to write.

On the visit of the relics of St Therese of Lisieux to England

St Therese, servant of God, gentle little flower,
Shine on us your radiant light and guide us in this hour.
All your suffering on Earth you bore unflinching, uncomplaining,
Help us who now suffer here, stop our faith and love from waning.
Teach us how to follow your humble 'Little Way',
To do our best at everything and thank God every day.
You vowed to spend your heaven on Earth, and let a shower of roses fall,
Miraculous cures now speak of your worth, oh you great helper of us all.
Now your relics leave Lisieux and journey to us for the faithful to see,
Great St Therese, I will be one down on my knees, please pray for me.

remaining gentle until you bare your soul
wanting with patient passion for you to take control

as the time arrives, i welcome the feeling with baded breath
as life evaporates, you become slow and thorough while i calmly obsess

becoming still as you make your final move
needing with youthful yearning for you to groove to soothe

when the dream becomes reality, i become as light as time
the aftermath like a slight breeze on a mild day dissipating a favorable percentage of life's hidden crime

Pentagon Word Poem

Pentagon Word Poem of Seven Stanzas

I want my own way;
May have much to say;
From heaven was sent,
To be President.

God gave me a hint;
When I will repent,
A great day can be;
You just wait and see.

Love land of the free;
Is best place for me,
So without delay
Right here I shall stay.

Have been home at last;
Bygones will be past;
No longer some slave;
God, me He did save.

Will happily sing;
Birds start to take wing;
Freedom I have found;
Love hearing soft sound.

Started to say prayer,
For those everywhere;
God gave much for sure;
Help us to endure.

Wake up my fine friend;
World will reach an end;
God's Son He will send;
New life will begin.

a bag of inconsequence

A Bag of Inconsequence

I remember tiny things picking up a burnt match
from a floor wondering who threw it there.

A May day in St. Malo, I saw an old man crying
streaks of tears down rumpled chin.

Shy bluebells lost amongst tall trees, yet they
made me think of prayer wheels in Tibet.

Glow of coal in the grate, it was early morning
and the road outside was frosty white.

A summer night up north I was waiting for night
it never came...and then it was morning.

In dead rabbits eyes I saw the warm August sky,
I, happy to alive, yet saddened.

When the Pacific Ocean was a mirror of eternity
And time ceased, yet lingered like a kiss.

Waving flags, military band and bloody parades,
I have long forgotten why and where.

CHANGE THE CYCLE (and change the world)

Could I please have your attention for I have some things to say?
Let's start a revolution, and change the world today!

Ladies! Let's stick together and put our jealousy aside!
Enough of all this gossip for it hurts too much inside.

Men! Forget that macho crap, it's okay to show your fright!
A man is more attractive when he stands up for what is right.

Parents! This is up to us and it is our duty to prevail!
To change this vicious cycle that society made real.

If the models on the catwalk weighed two-hundred pounds.
We would all be in the bakery buying donuts by the mounds.

Instead, we find our daughter with her head in the commode,
and our son is doing who knows what, for his door is always closed.

Children! It is very cool to kiss your mom goodbye.
When you truly need a friend, she'll be there by and by.

Please believe me when I say this is attainable.
Let's bring the love back in the world; Be kind and keep it real!

Set Up A Council

There is something about a suicide bombing
That to me is quite alarming
What really was their actual intent?
And also message they may have meant.

Both killing as well as bodily harm
Has the whole world up in alarm
What will we all have to do next?
This is my message I had sent by text.

All of our blood is running thin
When you keep doing it again and again
To NATO and SEATO we should stampede
And set up a council to fulfill this need.

Could Be Brought

Could Be Brought

When I went toot on my fine flute
Many things conjured up and did recruit
For me in my life to be enjoyed by
From day first born until I do die.

Time by does seem to pass so quickly
If what I did was done more amicably
Into world more peace could be brought
Instead of having to cry much and a lot.

Forgive me! I'm here in my pled. I'm here on my hands and knees
yelling out to the world. I was wrong, I don't know what I was thinking
that was back then. I'm sorry I rather lose my life then to lose a friend.

You best believe just forgive me
this is my shout out to you, for you to listen to what I have to say
. I'm done and I'm not going to walk away
never again b/c its hard on me to think I just lost a friend.

Daffodil's Hope

Finding an image to focus on
My mind lifts my soul with song

Simple... my perceptions changing
Negative vibes rearranging....

Yellow daffodils spring to mind
So early a blossom, winter shines~

Sweet and hollow its trumpet appears
Soaking up sunshine as snow disappears

Crisp and bold flawless in scheme
Long winter's magical dream

Blossom Daffodil all around my lawn
Adamantly filling the crisp damp dawn

Boldly obvious blossoms in snow
Complicates winter with her glow

Daffodil arrivs at winters' end
Offering hope to a despairing friend

When we finally get home none of this will matter,
All the years spent killing will end in one final battle,

Tears locked in bottles will pour out like rain,
That is when we will truly obtain,

The mysteries of the human race,
The times on earth we felt misplaced,
The horror of our loved ones never showing genuine embrace,

This life will be forgotten,
All the years we fought to win,
We will be like little children again when it all begins,

So why can’t we just listen to the wind and rest assure,
That the heavens made rach one of us for so much more,

Why do we get stuck in entwining webs,
Turning true love into tiny threads,

Saying peace then turning away,
From everything our mouths do say,

Many are emotionally dead inside,
Most of us just find it easier to run and hide,

But you can’t run too far,
For our maker made every star,

He knew each trial and knew we would fall,
Yet, he still loves us all,

Many humans have lived to hate and kill,
Longing to have anything to temporarily fill,

The voids and constant shame,
Opening doors and then pushing the blame,

Longing to be right when thry are so very wrong,
Saying they are not weak and that they are strong,

Holding on to prejudices, poision and fear,
While the time of redemtion is drawing near,
Instead of holding each other’s hands,
Restoring peace to our land,

Humility can heal this great Nation,
Bring forth comfort, restortion and true revelation,

Regardless, someday every knee will bow,
Let’s take the time now,
To renew our everlasting vows.

The world we got brought into
Way to easy for anyone to see through
These bars represent the problems and the verse represent the time
Too many mistakes and it'll leave us all behind
Even the words set in motion
Can cause problems that are oceans
Defying and lying to realize
The problems i see with these real eyes
The people today? So hateful and jaded
Memories of innocence and happiness becoming so faded
This isn't a basket, Problems cant be covered with lids
We cant run from the stupid things we did
Peoples vision of the world will flex and bend
Possibly soon somehow this world will end
The richest? Already have a good plan out
What am i supposed to do? Sit and pout? Or may I stand and shout?

Your Beautiful Morning

Dreaming seemless 'tween moonray and morninglight
waking to find a beautiful body just met that night
like waking from one dream to another
and one is happy to have met the other

A half-smile hidden behind cascaded hair
and the other so happy to have her there
even if 'twas for one night
'twas a dream worth waking to in new morninglight

Selah! (Ponder and Think)

God wills and sends angels to earth.
To celebrate the Christ Child's birth.
Where kings and shepherds did behold.
At the manger they gave Him gold.

Warnings reached His parents. They fled.
King Herod ordered children dead.
Mary and Joseph took great heed.
God saved Christ from the horrid deed.

Born in the town of Bethlehem.
The Son of God; sin's requiem
Three of thirty-three years He taught.
His life ended; man's hatred wrought.

But resurrection saved the day!
And Pentecost brought “Light” to stay.
Christ on earth taught His Father's way.
Mercy for sin repentance lay.

God forgives us as we forgive.
Obedient faith; blessings give.
We are judged as we judge brothers.
Judge not. Instead forgive others.

Celebrate all goodness in life.
Calm the soul and relinquish strife.
Prophets taught all around God's world.
God loves us all. Peace is unfurled.

Throughout the world where hopes weaken,
Let God's words become a beacon.
Love and cherish every other.
Through true faith uplift another.

We have the rules so grab them up.
Jesus Christ drank His bitter cup.
Follow His lead through righteous ways.
Claim world peace in these latter days.

Important Of Music In Our Lifes

Important of music in or lifes
Helps sooths termoils of daily strifes

Flow and temple of boasted notes
Rythem and rhyme that continues to float

A song from an lonesome heart
Ignited by an passionate start

Fantasy of wanting to belong
In or named in just one song

Spirits can be held on high
And can almost make you cry

So tread on your walk of life
And enjoy the melody that cuts like a knife

Starburst fashion

Crystal streams
Valleys of green

Sno-capped peaks
Eagles that speaks

Call of the wild
Echoes of a lost child

Can't seem to wake
From this dormate faith

Have no fear
For vision is clear

Arrived at Heaven's shore
Was woken though by husband's dam snore

The weeping willow sways and dips
to skim the lake in a summer kiss
and fish respond from down below
to catch a sun beam

 ~Off they go
in colors grey and silver gold~

From gills of bliss a bubble blows...

And on the surface flowers shine
and move to touch their skin to mine
The breeze, she plays upon my hair
as bee's their daisy pollen wear.

My lips a smile to teeth do meet
as lids close their eyes to a wink discreet

The sun, a warm lizard skin to the clouds
settles on us. I breathe to the summer sounds
and weep in the way that humans do
alone in Nature's rendezvous.

The Perfect Place

I'm a born-again believer, saved by Yahshua's grace
Such contentment and heartfelt joy I feel while in this place

This place I speak of is in God's arms, wrapped so tightly around my soul
Safe and secure in His embrace, His love has made me whole

No other place I'd rather stay, for humanly fragile am I
To dwell elsewhere, I'd be a fool, exposed to Satan's lies

No one could lure me from this place, where it's so truthful and serene
Can't trade me tin for my piece of gold, can't tell me Spring's grass isn't green

Just so you know, there's lots of room, Yahweh's arms extend far and wide
He longs to include you in His embrace, It's the perfect place to reside

Slavery and Unsavory

Slavery and Unsavory

Was quite a character and so unsavory;
Had heard his attitude towards slavery
Was let each on have life of their own;
A message from God caste in stone.

Treat with respect God simply did say;
When needing help never turn away;
With our minds what must we be doing?
About ensuing facts and their ungluing.

When much better we want world to be
Does it really require a certain ceremony:
More knowledge into mind must be feed,
And others in circles don't like to be led.

As in much heat shall start to swelter
Running here and there helter-skelter
Challenge you to do the same to me
So we will be a product of all history.

What should we have become a slave to?
And when whole day is finally through,
Never again will I ever be left alone
People will want my poems for their own.

From Every Hill

From Every Hill
     By Dane Smith-Johnsen

From every hill that raises up
The Lord can feel His bitter cup.
From every heart that gathers ‘round
The Lord will send salvation down.

In every foe there can be found.
Goodness thriving, hidden, unbound.
Search the soul and commit the heart.
The Lord will help give peace a start.

Open minds make enemies friends
For each conflict there is a mend.
Every soldier feels the dead cry.
While back at home, people ask, “Why?”

God in heaven watches us all.
Whether smiling or in a brawl,
Forced decisions are not the way.
Together, find a brighter day.

Mountains and valleys; desert lands.
Where are your peaceful quiet sands?
Across waters, destiny waits.
And lots of fighting based on hate.

Please open your hearts together.
Let not loathing thoughts unfetter.
Stop warring words that God must hear.
We are His children; bring peace near.

Daylight Dream

I danced through a daylight dream
Was baptized in a mountain stream

Fought the pains of being bored
As the endless ridicule I ignored

Now as other people look at me
The old Mike they just can’t see

Just can’t see me any other way
Then the loving man I am today

As I dwell on that for a while
I admit that it makes me smile

Brings a feeling unto my soul
The Lord has made me whole

I reckon what I’m trying to say
Praise God for this beautiful day

Mumbles from time to time are in depth

His eyes and mouth are finally closed
Respiration is slower and relaxation ensues

Motionless, resting like a charmed bull

Oh God, look over this being of complaints
Peace at last – teac hm some restraint

Love Is Suppose

Love is suppose to be kind But people push it just behind. It makes me sad to see all this Love for some is neither peace nor bliss. But that's what most people do Some live like this everyday. They just don't seem to care Eyes blinded only by pain and tears. Confused minds cold hearts All these lives are torn apart. And the children pay the price This is not in any way right or nice. Everybody deserves to be happy But what I see is really crappy I meet sad people all the time And in their eyes I see no love sublime. People keep searching everyday They think they know more than you Some amassing more than they need for Always wanting and wishing far for more. But that's what most of us do In this life we all try to touch the sun. And as we look at the sky at night We all wish that everything was right. We all want love peace and joy Find a place no one can destroy. We all want to reach for the stars Make our dreams come true from the start . In the end there is only right and wrong And black and white makes things flow. Love is supposed to be nice and kind Love is not supposed to hurt and be unkind. But sometimes love can cause us all pain Love can create a very good and strong chain. But sometimes love can be the wrong kind And produce pain and fear in the heart and mind. With the right direction and guidance We can all make it through life and advance Take life by the hand and sometimes dance looking at the sky Don't take anything for granted, but look ahead for a new day. Love is supposed to be kind But people push it just behind What this world needs more is God and love Look for God and you can find all His goodness from above.

Weed And Feed

On my day's journey
Think going to a basketball tourney

Stopped by sisters house
It was as quiet as a mouse

Out in her garden she sits
Hoe claw and gloves of misfits

Peddle pushers to kaboot
Gotta love her for she's a hoot

She kept digging at those weeds
And filling the holes with new seeds

I asked if she was tired of this
She replyed no as she turned and twist

See hoeing your garden
Is like a life's pardon

You might say it's like losing weight
Shedding unwanted pounds you hate

The hurries and worries
Even if their some kind of snow flurries

As we laughed and cried
I felt more pride

For my sister did it to me once again
Helped me weed out my own garden from within

There is life beyond your box and sticky toffee!
Get a grip and live like a real man should,
Theres gold, silver, iron then wood.

Most of porn is a forced labour,
There is no savoir,
On top there’s all cheers,
But look closer and the wetness is all tears.

Lust is a never ending well,
Love is the fire inside of a platinum shell
The well will never end
Lust has a mind that can never be your friend.

There is class and there is a cheap ass
Private moments are for your eyes
Watch it and contemplate
Then look at the poor reflection on your slate

Tearfilled eyes , I watch her , N happen to wonder...
Does she know that my thoughts go with her, yonder ?

That, in my every smile, my every bliss,
Its HER that I desperately miss ?

That every time SHE kisses me Adieu
My heart, it screams inside " No ! I'll always want u ! " ?

That evry sec, each passing day,
I go desperate wishin she'd come this way ?

That evry time she comes to see me off
Its tears that I lock back within my laugh ?

That evry sweet smile of her's, dunno why
Drives me to despair, to heave, to sigh ?

That evry time, my love, I try to declare..
Words can just NEVER get me there ?

That she's my strength, n she's my fire
Life without her'd have gone haywire ?

That she's the one who keeps me sane
When life withers me out, she's my rain ?

That no matter what I'm, no matter where I go,
I do reap, but that which she did sow ?

That deep within, with love much untold
Its HER, whom, closer than heartbeats I do hold ?

That come wild weather, or the torrentous tide
The Zenith is mine, when she's beside ?

That lost though I may be, in worldly glory
Its SHE who writes, n directs my story ?

That should the whole World stand by, n prant n sneer,
I can still close my eyes, n walk her way sans fear ?

Battle Cry

Leaders yell, Leaders scream, taking no more.
Men howl, men swear, calling out for war.

Soldiers march, Soldiers pray, going to face death.
women weep, women wait, holding their breath.

Soldiers stalk, Soldiers charge, running to the wire.
Leaders yell, leaders scream, commanding them to fire.

Bullets sing, Bullets whine, flying all around.
Bombs sail, Bombs burst, slamming into the ground.

Troops scream, troops fall, help a wounded friend.
People cry, people cheer, praising the wars end.

Soldiers march, soldiers smile, walking along so proud.
Women wave, women wink, yelling their love aloud.

Leaders watch, leaders wait, planning the next war.
Soldiers watch, soldiers wait, wanting peace more.

Night Camp

On a dark dewy dampened night
Stars sparkle above my campsite

A thick brisk breeze blows through
Toggles my tent nearly in two

Hunched I stand to unzip me out
Tent too cramped without a doubt

Wind blows my hair against my face
Zipping it closed with precise haste

Stepping on top of fallen pine needles
Barefoot I pray there are no beetles

Marveling the stars unerringly strewn
Against a black sky accenting the moon

Inhaling the crispness of the night
Decreases my grief with cogent might

Exhaling those troubles kept deep inside
This evening drenches a dreary façade

Loquacious crickets chirp steady songs
Forcing resolve to end the day’s wrongs

The scent of jasmine lingering on
Allows my spirit to sing its song

Undoubtedly camping feels so right
On a dark dewy dampened night~

Peace of Mind

Sweet milk turns sour from being too warm for too long...
And people become sour on the inside for harboring bad
attitudes that don't belong.

For peace of mind we must consider the state of the heart...
Because a hot emotion causes chaos from the very start.

So keep your emotions under control and cool...
And to do that just practice the golden rule.

Peace of mind what a joy it is...
A timely blessing for those that are His.

Love Living in Southport

Love Living in Southport

Always found it to be a foolish fact
And what it would do was to detract
Me from opinions others had made;
How about moving in and there stayed?

Weather was wet and had been so hot
But there was something about this spot,
That in your heart, made it feel warm;
Many friendships are starting to form.

Days were dreamy and sunny though
And it seems like wherever I will go
Were beautiful flowers and birds that sing
Which were brought on by each spring.

Live in home and by trees it is hidden;
From my worries and sorrows am ridden
By God who answered my each prayer;
Love living in Southport and being there.

By The Backyard Pool

Tiny raindrops fall gently on the crystal pool,
forming wavelets of slowly fading ripples.

Lotus blooms dance to the rhythm of the water,
bowing gracefully low like nature’s chandeliers.

Happy guppies frolic, unafraid of getting wet,
neither cold nor pneumonia seen as a threat.

Frogs in the undergrowth sing a choral refrain
“Rain, rain, don’t you ever go away again.”

Such peaceful scene and what beautiful sound
as heavenly shower comes pouring down.

Funny how the sight of rain falling on the pool
can make a mess in the mind of this lazy fool.

Ner' A Hollow Morning

Hollow dense vapor sets along the brook
Never imagining dawn breaking in
Earth meets air and it's mysterious show
Stillness so still .. it feels like utter sin~

None could tame the unspoken vigor
Water meets Air above an untamed breeze
Justice is served Mother Nature's eager
Vernal life lines the brooks simplistic ease~

The breath of comfort calming and placid
Brook does not babble but silently flows
Nor is there a scene like this one today
Breathtakingly unique double rainbows~

If all nature is not a warrior.....
There would be rot in desolate spaces
How then could her graceful exterior
Know natures place is among these places?

When you're out walking in nature's way
Ignorantly avoiding her bountiful mass
Recall to your divine spirit that may
Murmur negativity away, be steadfast~

Forest anew with decadence steady
Society must learn to be ready for war
Mother Nature's ner' hollow but ready
Know nothing has ever stopped her before~

Living the Godly Life

Let me live the godly life or don't let me live at all
Because any other way of life, for me, would really be quite small.

Let me think with righteous thoughts, because the mind is where all things take
their root
Let my thoughts be pure and clean and Truth my life's pursuit.

Let me speak with holy words of wisdom, sound and true
Because any other words would be so vain, of no use to me or you.

Let me act and react towards others with deeds of faith and love
Because actions speak the loudest
So Lord influence mine from above.

So let me live the holy life
Because any other I know I would disdain;
Because life according to worldly standards has no purpose, no value, no gain.

the Healing Too

  Ring the tiny silver bell
that's the way that he can tell
when a visitor arrives
trying hard to stay alive

Grandpa smokes his pipe at noon
says "You're here, and none too soon!"
claps you on your scrawny spine
"Come on in it's Healing Time!"

  Grandma brings a purple quilt
one that Aunt Matilda built
something stuffed with eider down
with an underside of clowns

  Laughing at you,with you too
just so serious won't do
now come wrap up by the fire
sister,come and play the lyre

  Uncle Willy,make some tea
sassafras with mint for me
pour a nice hot cup for all
Grandma,get your story shawl

Bring the puppies from the yard
Tom cat too,oh he's a card
he'll curl up with you for sure
that will be a double cure

Now lean close and tell your tale
outside hear the howling gale
tell us how you braved the war
left your soul in Zanzibar

whisper ,lest the night birds hear
and take it to anothers' ear
the night is dark and cold and deep
Wait,Grandpa,look,he's fast asleep!

For it moves endlessly with
Every color of the rainbow,
My own private rainbow of love.

World Peace?

To standing room only the evil acts performed by mankind.
Played out this way cannot be what God, Our Father, had in mind.

We wish upon a star and worship the almighty dollar.
The rich always grasp for more while the poor live in squalor.

We say America the beautiful, the land of the free
Where we cherish our right to be all we can be.

“All are created equal,” you hear us proudly say
But the world is filled with prejudice, hateful hearts and decay.

Now war threatens our reality and the future is unclear
There's always someone, somewhere who's paralyzed by fear.

It's in our nature to cause conflict and that will never cease.
We agree to disagree, nothing has changed,
shattered dreams of world peace.

Beautiful Child

The first time your face I did see
I instinctively knew we were meant to be

I am filled with a love so free
Every time I hold you close to me

You, my beautiful, darling child
Born of love's passion gone wild

Delightful Features

Scribbling on a piece of paper,
I displayed my thoughts that are my treasures…

Lifting my head I saw,
a pure face that so delightful…

I pondered at it for a while….
And saw a smile so wide…

The smile accompanied small eyes
When opened shall make you fly

Those delightful features
Belong to no strangers…

For they rest across my sister's face
Who displays them when the moon's unlaced…

May you shine everyday dearest one…

He Is

What he is, to me as a child
He held me close when all was wild
He gathered my heart, when it was broken down
I knew he would be there, just always around

The tears that were cried never went to far
For he saw the pain and healed the very scar
The life behind this wonder of love
Can be loved apon from the One above

Take for granted not his kind hearted ways
He tells me this time, Its Just One of Those Days
I truely believe he loves me and my messed up life
But I know in my heart, on day, I will be his wife

Married by body, and bounded by soul
It was each others own heart, that made us whole
A whole in our ways, and a whole in our minds
Our love is so very rare, there are not many kinds

He once was a bad child, and killed all aspects to life
But deep inside all of that hatrid and anger, he was sharp as a knife
He gathered the peices, that were once my broken heart
And began mending them back together, so our loving could once
agian start.

Let Freedom Ring

July the Fourth is nearly here,
And we are still fighting to keep freedom in this land we hold so precious and dear.

We can’t drop our guard or look the other way,
We have too many enemies at our gates that are waiting for that day.

God Bless our Troops, and let them know we really care,
Give them respect and honor, for upon their shoulders our freedom they bare.

Maybe someday there can be real peace,
And all violence and crime will desist and cease.

The ones that once held our freedom we now call friend,
Hopefully one day all our fences we can finally mend.

Sometimes I wonder what really goes on in Washington, D.C.,
I think sometimes it’s about their own prestige, and I wonder if they even think about you and me?

Politics has taken on a different meaning than what it was originally set up for,
There seems to be too many little fat and greedy hands in our cookie jar.

This is election year and our pickings are slim,
But if we choose wrong our future may look grim.

Study the choices as best you can,
This sure isn’t the time too elect as our leader the wrong man.

God Bless All, and have a safe and wonderful July Fourth weekend,
And to our troops much love we do send.

The entire Budhist monk"s life is but a preperation,
For his Death Point or moment of seperation.

The Jains have santhara,
Quitting life consciously to join with the paramatma.

The hindus go into samadhi,
Where there is no Congress,Shiv Sena,BJP or Samajwadi.

The Christian merges with the holy spirit,
Peace no more desperate.

The sufi mystic to become one,
Dances, twirls, prays, trances to get the job done.

Aghora means illumined with light,
Longing for Shiva in whom they delight.

Shamanism or the art of ecstacy,
The ultimate being one with the super entity.

There is no need to change your faith,
And on your old religion lay a wreath.

Let's Start Today

Let's bring into this world peace
So all these wars and violence can cease
Let's stop all this hatred
And give the poor and homeless a piece of bread
Let's start by changing us all and right from inside
And letting God be your guide
There's so much we need to change
Even if it looks and sounds strange
We can all start sometime and somewhere
By showing in everything that we do, that we care

Let's be careful in the manner that we speak
Let's be strong and not weak
Let's show this world, that we still stand strong and tall
Let's unite together with courage and tear down every single wall
Let's bring into this world of ours much more love and peace
So a lot of this vicious circle of strife and pain can one day cease
Let's start today and let's do it right from the place in which we live
Let's always be respectful of our neighbors and our fellow man
Let's give the best of ourselves everyday and all the time that we can.
Let's stop this madness and get rid of all these illegal drugs today
They can destroy everything that you have and will kill you too
Make a vow to bring God into your life every single day
And make Him part of everything that you do.
Believe that your life will be more productive and blessed
When you put Him first in every thing
That you set your mind to do when you bring
Him closer and right inside your heart
And from you He shall never depart
So start by doing this and much more
Let's answer the call and open the door
Let's be watchful of everything that we do and say
And let's be thankful and pray to God everyday!

Healing Ellie

I met you hollow as the bones
of sun scorched trees with roots upturned
Worn to smoothness, polished grey
I met you when you'd less to say
But time and temperance green the ground
by pushing growth and sticking 'round
The seeds which scattered, dormant, light
in a gust of wind and time, took flight
They settled with your words and grew
with limbs of strength, they became you
And soon you laughed and bloomed in pink
and unwrapped time as a gift to think
Soon, your roots entwined the earth
You opened your arms to a million birds
and swayed in the wind to their favorite tune
as you etched them into your friend, the moon
Now you speak as all nature does
with a heart full of passion that's rooted in love
Each limb of growth reaching into the wind
Your words are a healing, You're on the mend...

Words Of Love

O gee, hate…love…hate…love…hate.
Why do other people have to debate!?

The words of love, we shall now give;
These we have once…twice, received.

It brings peace and light to their spirit;
Of those who are in hungry need, of it.

It gives strength and hope to their life;
Of those who have nothing…but strife.

The words of love, we shall now give;
These we have once…twice, received.

O gee, hate…love…hate…love…hate.
Why do other people have to debate!?

With the moon on her face

  She wrote them on Wednesday
when she was alone
  eating her jellybeans
there by the phone

  She mailed them on Thursday
before she served tea
she looked out her window
with nothing to see

   Celestial bodies
cast shadows in space
she went to her room
with the moon on her face

  Hugging the Earth
spinning round and around
only her physical body
was bound.

Last Wish

To sift is my endeavor, lest I fail
to bring to harmony and to avail
the roads I've traveled on to sweet commune
the sun to blow a kiss to reach the moon
the trees to rain down water from their leaves
to end the parching season of the seas
where salt in rings has settled sugar white
and mad mirages flood the settled sight
To sift my thoughts, I'm sure you will agree
is of the utmost pertinence to me
To wrap the package up in memories
and gently set their sail upon the seas.

Glitter Lake

Sunken to the bottom in the snap of blue delight
to simply bathe in glittering and crystal slushing ice
Silt and streaks of sunlight blowing through the gills of fish
sneak their skin upon my lips to usher in a kiss
Winter wilts and stutters as I shine my surface eyes
bubbles slipping upward toward the warmth of summer skies
Hold my breath to silver while I listen to the flow
Giltter lake alive my pulse until I start to glow

Searching for Sunday

Sunday collapsed in a flurry of stars
somewhere just south of the red planet Mars.
barracades buckled and folded in half,
somewhere she heard Sunday leave
with a laugh.

mists rose around her ,blocking her view,
weekdays flew by her and everyone knew,
Sunday should follow with peace and a smile,
but Saturday stayed with a partying guile.

"Take us all home! "cried the daze of the weak,
we'll keep you so busy you never can speak,
the poems you harbor until you can write,
your time will be taken,it's all black and white.

But color comes back in her cheeks
when she reads,
the heartline from others, who comfort her needs.
For Sunday just laughs and runs on ahead,
she can't catch a train to that place in her head.

she's searching for Sunday ,alone in the park,
come bring her a candle to lighten the dark,
and peace like a curtain, falls onher stage,
her Sunday returns,if it's just on your page.

when the stars first formed in an unlit sky,
i opened my eyes and wondered why.

when the weather turned and scooped me up,
i flew and swam and never looked back.

when the sun beat fast and lightning flashed,
i laughed at the madness as my dreams were smashed.

but when the first flowers opened and i saw the colour blue,
i cried with joy at the thought of you.

Haven Sublime

Cinnamon smiles and sleepy cut glass
a blur, flowing colors through windows and passed
Coffee beans crunched into steam in the air
The wind blowing winter through strands of your hair
Mountains in slumber and valleys in hush
Peppermint warmth from the moment we touch
Rest of the world falls in gridlock and twine
but we have found peace in our haven sublime.
Winter is welcome with smores by the fire
We now see the sky, fluid clear with desire
The stars reflect frost on the lawn, in our eyes
With blankets and thermos we head for the skies
Cider and cinnamon, mica cut streams
Breathing in pure like the stuff made of dreams
We polish our souls, unraveling time
for we have found peace in our haven sublime.

Living Under a Dark Cloud

Complete and utter annihilation, won’t that be grand,
Nuclear weapons entrusted in God only knows whose hands?

With more weapons than enough to wipe out every living and breathing creature alive,
And they are for our protection, well give me a big ole high five.

I wonder how many times we’ve nearly launched ours because of a computer misread,
We have been lucky so far, but all I can say is take heed!

A lot of our systems I’m sure are obsolete, and should be removed,
But no one wants to do it cause there is too much red tape to get approved.

Now every little country in the world has their own little W.M.D.
Kinda like keeping up with the Jones, mines bigger than yours wanna see?

But all joking aside we have a real and serious problem that just won’t go away,
My life is pretty much used up and I hate leaving this legacy to our children, to me
that’s not okay.

We are skating on thin ice and one day our luck is going to run out,
And God help us when that day comes and it’s coming without a doubt.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all the world leaders could find an equal ground and work towards
peace with an honest and trustworthy heart,
And look upon each other as brothers although our homes be far apart.

But our enemy is greed and the old devil always lurking in the darkness waiting to install
death and fear,
But God is our salvation, our truth and our light, and we must turn to Him and our paths
will become crystal clear!

Matthew 6; 9,13 ( The Lords Prayer ) tells us exactly what we should do,
And if we follow His words He will guide us this day through.

We shared a cell for seven weeks
before he finally up and speaks,
he turned around and shook his head
he tore the mattress on the bed,
inside he kept a sacred book,
he said that I could take a look,

I read six lines and heard a scream
I felt that I was in a dream
the cell walls vanished in the night
the moon above was shining bright

I don't know if we're really gone,
but I feel like I went back home,
a trance or harsh reality,
it matters not.......
for I am

Twilight Eclipse

Something not to miss
a twilight eclipse
when moon is pale
and all things wail

When moon is full
and the waves feel its pull
when all things beneath the sea of red
are either sleeping or happily dead

When moon is high
with spirits nigh
the bloodred sky chills
to cast a soft glimmer across these hills

When moon is bright
hanging high in night
all stars creep back
to hide behind the silver in shamed black
