Cobalt Silhouettes

A teal twilight inks cobalt silhouettes, as shy stars unveil their flickering lights. And shadows slink forth melding with the night, while a sanguine sun feigns a scarlet death. Crimson clouds cluster at horizon’s edge, absorbing shades of cerise and purple. And daylight shrinks to a brindled aura, reflected by rusty crystals of ice. Dusk weeps dewdrops grieving to no avail, as dark dims the last vestiges of light. And brisk breezes whisk heat away in gusts, eerily chilling both body and soul. Long skeletal fingers anchor the sky, to a lone tree rooted in ebony. And a marshmallow moon appears snagged, in the netting of its Velcro branches. Creatures of the dark stir from their slumber, in the wake of a disappearing sun. And as silence sets life bends to its will, all but a cricket’s haunting piercing shrill.

Where are all the fairies

Where have all the fairies gone
where do they go at night.
Do they take to the wing
and off they go in flight?
I thought that they were down
at the bottom of the garden path,
so when i'm in the garden
I look close down in the grass.
So why is it that when
I am tucked up in my bed
I can hear them laughing,
Or is it in my head?
I wish that I could tell you
just where those fairies be,
But when I go and look for them
they always seem to flee.
We've even had a fairy ring
upon our lawn appear,
But even then our search for them
they seem to disapear.
One day I'll find the fairies
but till then, even if I fail,
Il'll always believe in them
it's not a fairy tale.

Springs around the corner
what wondrous things we'll see,
bulbs popping up above the ground
giving joy to you and me,
time to tidy up our plot, lots of digging too,
weeds to pull, beds to hoe
lots of things will have to go.
You have to be a little brave
if that rose you want to save,
but you will learn that over time
you've got to be cruel, just to be kind,

The flower beds need a tidy
take all that dead stuff off the top,
veg plots being well dug over
hoping for a bumper crop.

Seeds to sow, hope they'll grow !
then the lawn will need a mow.

And when all the hard work is done
you can sit back and be pleased,
wind , rain and sun you have grown all you need.

If the world were full of hippies

If the world were full of hippies
there'd be nothing left to prove
except peace and understanding
and a little bit of groove

Noone would be homeless
Like many live today
We'd build beautiful communes
where anyone could stay

Together we'd make music
to the beat of mother earth
there'd be no fighting or war
Everyone sharing equal worth

We'd grow our own vegetables
 and create trinkets to sell
We'd open up our minds
break free from our shell

Every colour and every race
would teach one another
we'd become a united family
every sister, every brother

We'd bless all gods creatures
show respect for the land
Give free hugs to everyone
openminded to understand

Nature would speak to us
Our world would become one
with peace and understanding
and a little bit of fun

Epitaph to a Happy Mosquito

T'was a warm summer's day, when I took to the trail,
to cruise that old black spruce, way down in the swale.

A gallon of bug dope was strapped on my hip,
which I figured would last me for most of the trip.

Down through the sphagnum I plowed like a moose,
a huffin' and puffin' and spittin' my snoose.

Then off in the distance, I heard a faint roar,
like B-29's coming home from the war.

The sky clouded over, so you barely could see,
"They're mosquitoes! "I cried, and they're coming for me.

They flew by me once and past me again,
a-flexing their stingers, before they moved in.

I grabbed for my bug dope and spread it on thick,
just hopin' and prayin', it would do the trick.

They came at me fiercely and punctured my hide,
But before they could drink much, they dropped off and died.

I thought to myself, "What type of bug dope is this?"
The mosquitoes all had smiles on, as they lay there in bliss.

After checking the label, I saw my mistake,
t'was the 100 proof whiskey, that Uncle Jake makes.

Reverencing Nature

Creation energy in each atom glows.
Electron-bound sacred unity –
Thus, reverence for nature inside me grows
When I walk through rustling sheaves.
And I know in my heart power flows there,
In each cell throughout the trees –
And all the while I go with a smile,
Knowing joys that nature weaves.
By the energy bound within all compounds--
In the wind and in the trees –
A great strength from which honor mellows
Believes the joys nature conceives.

And this is why honor to nature goes,
And the universe receives: --
Form from a shapeless power emerged,
Physical matter conceives.
Afterward, substance gained its shape,
Now, the universe receives.
Tiny atoms shine their light
In each tree and in the leaves –

The beginning, surrounding as unity abounds,
Thus Pantheists…worship agrees –
Praises to nature! (a believer knows,
The universe its might weaves.)
Energy sparks verve, living…thrilling.
Starting life, an atom achieves.

Universal essence throughout nature astounds.
From one cell, another follows –
Spiritual mentality knows –
Realities sacredness nature resounds,
Within an elated heart billows,
Freeing the energy within all living souls.
Cosmic unity within man and trees –

As life’s passage one takes and of it sense makes,
Thinking of the trees and its leaves.
When, looking toward skies wherein night beauties rise
Worships nature and believes.
For thus it is, pantheist reverence nature’s pure bliss,
Adore natural matter; respect all that is.
For in trees and in the leaves –
Omnipotent universe perceives.

Rain Drops

Have you ever listen to the sounds of rain ,
As it pitter patters against your window pain?
The sound is like music and it is so sweet,
As it gathers in a puddle around your feet.

Rain coat and boots is what you need to wear,
To keep the rain out,and stay dry under there.
Without little rain drops, where would we be?
All dried up and blowing in the breeze.

Flowers need rain drops as much as the sun,
They spread thier little leaves to catch every one.
Into the ground the little rain drops do go ,
To help the roots to get strong and grow.

Rain drops make a pond where fish can swim,
Without the water we would not have them.
To watch them swin around here and there,
Makes one wonder how they got there.

The oceans are vast ,with water everywhere,
But without that first drop of water ,the land would be bare.
There would be no trees ,no brush , no grass,
If the rain drops stoped falling, nothing would last.

The next time your out walking and it starts to rain,
Remember the little rain drops will cause you no pain.
Hold out your hand and you will see,
Little rain drops were sent from heaven for you and for me.

The Undersized Lunker

The dawn was approaching, not a breath of air blew,
And the bass should be bitin', at the edge of the slough.

I gathered my tackle and shoved in the boat,
Not knowing whether, the blamed thing would float.

A pull on the kicker, got old Betsy churnin',
To the home of the large-mouth, for which i'd been yearnin'.

The boat snaked on through, the lily-pad carpet,
Toward an old sunken log, as black as a tarpit.

Don't ask me how, but I knew he'd be there,
Just awaitin' to be pulled, from his watery lair.

With a flick of the wrist, the lure sped toward the log,
Which stuck from the water, at the edge of the bog.

The silence was shattered, as the bass took the bait.
You could see in his eyes, the feeling of hate.

I had him hooked firmly, in the side of the lip,
And he couldn't get loose, no matter how he should flip.

I guessed that he'd weigh, no less than twelve pounds,
For he was straining my tackle, beyond all its' bounds.

An hour went by, but he fought just as strong.
He had to give in, 'cause I couldn't last long.

Finally the old lunker, turned on it's side,
And slid in the net, with mouth opened wide.

But after I weighed him, I found to my plight,
He'd lost over ten pounds, during this long and hard fight!

Sea of blue,
crags of white,
bitter wind,
majestic sight

For this is world of white
and blue
white mountains of ice,
blue sea salty and true

midnight sun on icy wastes,
cool reflected light,
pristine wilderness,
not to everyone's taste

Stark white cold,
wind eroded columns of ice
roar of wind
roar of sky

Icebergs scattered in the blue
raw wind strips me bare,
the environment does not care....
about you.

Sea,sky and ice,
nature's freezing cocktail,
untameable wilderness,
man cannot sacrifice.

Pure elements,
to touch the senses

Inhospitable sea,sky and ice,
its very extremes,
to prevent men of this world
carrying out their dreams

Pure cold energy roaring,
with bitter intent,
gulls soaring,

Nature's cold refuge,
from man and his dreams.
White armour protects,temperature deflects,
man's subterfuge

white mountain,
white water,
white wind

Blue sea,
blue sky,
blue wind
world of white and blue

Cement Seedling

I don't need very much to stay alive,
a little urban rain from time to time.
It's not luxurious, here in the ground,
but I'm content with it, this life of mine.

There's not a lot for me to view from here;
the iron forest always sees to that.
It must be nice to venture past those trees;
but trapped am I, within this concrete crack.

At times, my mistress seems unfair; although,
I'm quite accustomed to this static fate;
her morning eye and moistful firmament
ensure my needs are met, despite my state.

I'm well aware her sight does take a while
to reach my herbal arms from where I stand,
but being patient is a noble trait,
and one that's helped me flourish in this land.

Oh there's no need to worry over me;
I'm quite resilient for a city weed.
I know I can't get up and rule my life;
but as I said, there's not much that I need.

But what of you, my busy human friend?
How goes the life your maker granted you?
Forgive my prying, but I'm most concerned
with all the stress that you've been going through.

You have the freedom to decide your home,
the priv'lege to decide what you will eat,
the sov'reignty to change your day's routine,
and you were gifted with nomadic feet.

I cannot say decisions aggravate,
for they are favors I have never had.
But how can one despise such dowery?
I can't imagine how that'd be so bad.

So listen to this humble seedling's word:
before you think your life is but a curse,
take out the time to reassess your gifts;
your life could surely be a great deal worse.

What do you think of when you see the rain?
I see tears from heaven, because of the pain.
Some see it different , and im sure you do too,
You think its tears of joy, and a start of anew.
What do you think of when you see snow falling?
I think its the time of year ,that friends will be calling.
For christmas is not so very far away,
When you see snow falling ,and its there to stay.
Spring is always so nice to see here,
It brings out the animals , like squirls and deer.
Storms i dont like to see or hear,
The thunder is so loud, it can bust your ear.
When i see the sun , so high in the sky,
It makes me want to jump for joy.

Silently the moon rose
from, it seemed
The Whispering Trees
This, I dreamed

When all is dark and silent
A Heartstone Moon shall rise
It's soft light illuminating
All you meant

So many things change
Never a Heartstone Moon
New seasons to arrange
Queens, coming soon

Such mysterious light
Filled a castle with wonder and delight
So close, it seemed
Such a beautiful thing
Can only be a dream

Only an Eastern pink sky,
can fade a moon
So perfect
Long, will it lie
In your heart

A Heartstone Moon
Gathered her stars
Let them play
Above, a castle
That will see the dawn soon

A moon is for dreams
Stars for love
This is why...
Or so it seems
A starlit sky
Castle below
A Heartstone Moon,

As I walk out into a deep sea of blue
I start to feel the new morning dew
Wanting to escape to the welcoming stars
I leave behind the pain of all scars

Swept away in this speckled blanket above
I know the stars are full of secrets and love
I ponder and share the thoughts in my mind
The dreams and secrets that I may once find

Soon I know this magical darkness will fall
And all will continue, our natural known call
So now let all found secrets be told
As will our sought out dreams unfold

Everyone has to learn...
To be a gull
One day...
It will be your turn

In a sky...
Perfect too
Upwards I flew....
To meet you

For, in us all
Is a Jonathan Livingston
Bursting through
Gulls flight...
In me and in you

It is the spirit that takes us all...
Reaching new heights
New skies
New flights

We all dream
Some chose to be....
Gulls on the sea
This is me....

As I sit, watching the going down of the sun
The gulls swoop and turn
I savour the thought
Can I become....
One of those...
Who fly until the day is done

One day....
I will come as a gull
Fly over the sea
Swoop and turn with glee
What it is to be free
One day it will be

Clan Call

Tearing gusts of highland winds dim the sound of pipes
No one knows and no one sees and no one sets it right,
Heavy hearted sadness carries, other souls who went ahead,
Ghosts of kindred spirits living now or living dead,
Running through the gorse and heather wishing for a horse to ride,
Disregarding wind and weather, Grim, the reaper by my side.
Places I would rather see.... Home's still where I yearn t' be,
I'll never have you there with me... 'tis lost...
both love
and pride

Jonji ‘s dance within my mind
and well within the ken o’ men
I just prepped the canvas

Arising Thoughts

Silent currents softly swirl
Around tree scented salty tears
Flowing forth from freshened forest
Awash from Summer’s seasoned years
Sunlight filtered through high branches
Causes mist to rise and glow
Gleaming in the golden fern
Drifting ghostly disappearing
Winsome weather wafted waves
Waking woods on Wednesday morning
Pauses kissed and shed of woe
Friendly forest fantasizes
As the life form warmly rises
Faerie elves and dwarfing dragons
Drift away in morning dew
Clarity of dawn is breaking
In the awesome reawakening
Another day is here anew
To spend in joy with you

Just One Ocean Blue

Hearing the sweet melody
	My emotions take me away
As I listen to the sea
			And the Ocean underway

Feeling the rippling pool tide
	I voice my harmony
I hear the waves that glide
They sing their song to me

				Tasting the salty air
					There was a whipping breeze
						Snapping without a care
							And whistling with great ease

				Smelling the sandy wetness
					Where water meets the Earth
						A seemingly relentless
							Undercurrent birth

I hear, I feel, I taste, I smell
	This great big Ocean true
It is an endless water well
			Where only fish should rule

But, once again, the human rules of life
Destroy what it does not see
I can feel this Ocean’s strife
Can you not hear its plea?

				This Ocean needs humanity
But what do we do in return?
We kill it with our insanity
							And never want to learn
Consume not what you cannot give
					Back to this water deep
I know this Ocean wants to live
Breathing beauty for all to keep

Just one Ocean blue, once pure
This water will become a mirage
We leave Mother Nature with no cure
We pollute her with our garbage

Everyone should seek the path
Of preserving this Ocean we need
She knows a fury full of wrath
Beware Mother Nature and take heed!

Ode to a Cherry Tree

Peering through plate glass at a puzzling view, In the midst of hot coffee’s morning ritual brew. Staring out with amazement and wonderfully struck, By our Cherry Tree’s overnight sensation run amuck! By nature’s own standard, cruel joke she has played, Million blossoms wide open one February day. This juvenile sapling knows not what it feels, Sprouting vivid Pink colors, the show it now steals. From those all around laying dormant in state, Expecting nature’s cue to blossom their own petals awake. And by then poor young cherry will have muted her splash, Replaced by green leaves summer storms will soon thrash. But alas all this splendor making warm visual sense, In the short time required for fresh java to dispense. Tomorrow I’ll once again observe through plate glass, The wonders waiting just beyond cold winter’s Rye Grass. Submitted to Giorgio A. V. Contest themed: Impress me with a small poem II! 1) user name: wedge 2) choice of motif: nature

A beautiful sky,so red

A beautiful sky, so red
Scattered as far as the eye can see
Words cannot be said
A beautiful sky,
for me

I looked up,
to a beautiful sky, so red
To be a cloud
Yet, I am down here instead

The sun painted its' colour
beautiful and red
throughout the sky

A beautiful sky, so red
melted away
Dark blue
Some say...
Transformed the day,
to something new

The sky darkened
Night was here instead
To steal the light....
of a beautiful sky, so red

I have become a night
Lost in starlight
Onwards I sped,
to find a beautiful sky , so red

The moon

The summer passed so fast
I thought you and I would never last
You told me our memories won’t be just a blast
Ever was I the one to doubt our past.

Clouds were soon hiding the sun
The difficult hadn’t even yet begun
I saw your shadow everywhere I went
I guess that’s just how much you meant.

But even in the darkest hour
The moon was there-a source of power
And each look made you feel so near
A dream to chase the presence of my fear…

Living my dream

Living my dream

I had one dream when I was young
To go to another land
In life I wasn’t satisfied
I wanted something grand
Lions, tigers. Kangaroos
And all those wild, wild beasts
Africa, South America
Or Australia at least.

Possessive Mother was my curse
How could I get away?
Every time I mentioned it
She had so much to say
And made me feel so guilty
Really cramped my style
And then one day there came along
Something to make me smile

I’d just turned my nineteenth year
When this great girl came along
She hailed from West Australia
And filled my heart with song
So we got married, had some kids
And here we are in Oz
Been here for half a century
And I came here all because

It was my fate to find this girl
She was my destiny
There’s be a whisper in the skies
That knows how things will be
It takes one’s soul, and leads it on
So growth, it might occur
And I know that west Australia
My heart, it sure does stir.

The storm

The storm

The sky above was filled right up
With big, black, monstrous clouds
The thunder hit the blackened skies
His voice so very loud
Forked all across the morning skies
Fiery fingers streak on out
Then the thunder rumbles loud and strong
And rain is all about

Oh how that rain came teeming down
Just like it’s on a mission
To wash away the whole damned earth
As with her quiet precision
Mother Nature puts the pressure on
To warn us human souls
Of the damage she could do
With the power in her role

The rain, It pours down onto me
But I don’t feel a thing
I’m covered by my wetland gear
And my heart begins to sing
For me, I love these thunder storms
With all their mighty power
Though some on seeing all this drama
Would hide away and cower.

From The National Poet Of Slovenia In A Language People Understand - THE RUINS OF THE ANCIEN REGIME

Farewell, then, AUKN boss,
The next this year makes three.
By the time they find a substitute,
Slovenes will be at sea.

He tried to cover his behind;
AUKN boss of bosses,
As every week, balances grew bleak:
He weighed merits and losses.

With all this he'd no time to eat,
And round and round he flew.
And now he's split in a hissy-fit;
So helmsman, too-de-loo!

Day after day, day after day,
He drifted on the ocean;
Guano-vernment rained on his ship
Their suggestions for promotion.

Cousins, cousins, everywhere,
Corporate boards crosslink;
Cousins, cousins, everywhere,
Let's take you for a drink.

Accountants talking rot: O Christ!
Missions, visions - oh please!
Yea, slimy characters need legs
And slimy policies.

So has he done an hellish thing?
Not hired who? We dunno:
Was it absurd, to have a separate curd
From the whey Slovenia owes?
This wretch won't play, after 60 days;
Pissflaps, he'll have to go!

God help ya, gospod Bencina
From the fiends, that plague us thus! -
It's time to go — shot like cross-bow,
The AUKN boss.

Ah! walk-out day! what evil looks
Had I from Ernst and Young!
Who's at a loss? AUKN's boss
Wouldn't take a bung?

"You'll be" quoth one, "abolished - no
Stigma to double-cross."
He chose to go - why? We don't know:
Harmless AUKN boss.

Re-reading the original gave me a great idea for dinner until I realised all the storks have all flapped off to Africa for the winter. Pity, as I have some ancient marinade from Tuš. Like the subject of the poem, I didn't have the stamina for a Coleridge-length effort.

The National Poet Of Slovenia In A Language People Understand interprets important Slovenian affairs for the non-Slovene speaking world.

In the early morning hours

In the early morning hours
The sky is filled with clouds
I love this morning time do I
Away from all the crowds
I take my Bear dog on his lead
As the rain grows wild, and strong
And we two walk, the streets together
My heart is filled with song.

There’s nothing like a morning walk
When that soft, sweet, velvet rain
Caresses one with tender touch
It’s not that I’m insane
I just like being held in nature
I guess that’s who I be
Cause me, I be a natural man
And I love mystery.

I see there just in front of me
Two massive kangaroos
As the gates, I walk on through
And Bear, he sees them too
I grab him lest he should take off
Those Roo’s are kind of tough
As, If I let Bear off the lead
He’d find out soon enough.

The danger gone, we both move on
And take the road Back home
We’ve seen the rain and Kangaroos
We’ve had our little roam
And now it’s time to be at home
And write a song or two
When I’m not walking with my bear
Then this is what I do.

I love this poem cause I love my morning walks, and this seems to me to be my best poem written on this.

Meeting with a Tiger snake

Meeting with a Tiger snake

The sky above is sheer perfection
The deepest shade of blue
The big gold sun, it shines on down
And lights on drops of dew
To make them shine like pretty gems
Upon the soft green leaves
Of trees reflected in the lake
Such a poem this morning weaves.

A tiger snake comes swimming by
He swims amidst some gulls
In his special wiggly way
It’s a blessing to my soul
To see these creatures swim together
No danger written there
He’s at peace with all that live
It seems he has no care.

He swims up to the leafy shore
Then hides behind a tree
He knows I’m there yet, doesn’t care
He has no fear of me
But when I try to get up closer
The snake, he flares his head
So I must heed this danger sign
Or soon I could be dead.

Then snake, he moves off through the bush
And goes upon his way
He’ll find some other place to lie
On this lovely summer’s day
The day is coming soon enough
[The autumn is quite near]
When this snake will sleep in peace
Until the spring is here.

If Only in My Dreams

Standing on top
The mountain below
I feel it beckon
A world of snow.

It stretches below me
It pulls at my heart
I can't live without it
Yet we're worlds apart.

Its unending beauty
A place so serene
I want to flow to it
Yet it is a dream.

A dream that I live in
A dream - yet its real
It's part of my make up
It's something I feel.

The calm of the wild
The expanse of just space
The pleasure of feeling
Cold wind in my face.

The knowing I own it
This wide untouched land
And then not to have it
I know I can't stand.

And so I go back to
This place of my dreams
If only in pictures
I am there - so it seems.

I sense your touch in the morning breeze
A hand so soft knows how to please
I'll lay here awhile, eyes closed I smile
I cherish your gentle, subtle style

I believe in you
I know you're there
Our connection felt
You're wings on air
But there's no doubt
Heaven sent
Moving in and out

You chase the clouds so that I can see
The bright sun and all of earth's majesty
Then you bring the rain so life can grow
The rainbow comes.. wow, what a show

I believe in you
I know you're there
Our connection felt
You're wings on air
But there's no doubt
Heaven sent
Moving in and out

Oh wind and love I never knew
That you are twins but it's so true

I believe in you
I know you're there
Our connection felt
You're wings on air
But there's no doubt
Heaven sent
Moving in and out

To prove human
Just a greeting could suffice,
To exhibit solicitude,
Especially when we meet first time,
And none of us is courteous.

To show humanity,
There need be charity,amity,
And not animosity.
For amongst us,
Supremacy and pomposity,
Seem to create a rift.

To whosoever; formal or not,
From East or West,
richly bestowed or unfortunate,
Generosity reigns extant and supreme.

Let frigid winter come,
it feels nice to be lonesome,
seeing myself snuggled up
in a comfort blanket holding a cup
of cocoa by this warm fireplace...
while the wanderer's frozen face
is dotted with the whitest snowflakes
as he rubs his red, freckled nose!

Isn't this an unforgettable moment
to delight me feeling the thrill
of the Season with its distinct chill?
Isn't this the magic of Christmas
when joy is felt in a calm land
by the sound of chiming bells?

Let frigid winter come and cover everything in glistening, deep snow,
and 'though the evening will not have the moon's glow,
brightness can lead my footsteps really far...
shouldn't I play a Christmas song on this guitar?
I will go from house to house and knock on every door...
tingle everyone with great joy by spreading the message of the Savior!

I'm very confident that going back home
stars will gleam and children will roam:
singing, shouting, swirling and throwing heavy  snowballs;
happy angels will be heard on gelid gulls,
but who minds waiting in the bitter cold...
when a Divine Child comes down to redeem the sinful world?

Blow On, Oh Wind

Blow on the winds of sympathy,
Blow on the winds of purity,
Blows on the wind of years gone by
That we could not equate

Blow on the dreams our wisdom holds,
Blow on our hearts emotions,
Blows to us a feeling of the waning hour
That we could not imagine

Blow through the turn to a morning fair,
Blow by the memory of loves departure,
Blows on the worth of simple words
That our thoughts could not imagine

The Tree

                                            The Tree

Through the foggy mist of a new day dawning
Appears a huge tree, awaiting the birth of another winter morning.

All that remains is its bare branches stretching toward the sky
And an old abandoned nest, left by its owner who traveled south so it wouldn't die.

The tree appears lonely but somehow full of hope
As if it knows Spring will come which enables it to cope.

A few months have gone by and the faithful tree is still there
But now it's consumed with excitement from its first breath of spring air.

It seems new life has come to the tree within a blink of an eye
It now stands picturesque, full of lavish green foliage set against the baby blue sky.

It waves its branches proudly with the breeze as if to show off its features
Which also seems to serve as a welcome sign to all of God's little creatures.

It appears to be much happier, now that its friends are back once again
Cradling brand new birds' nests and providing shelter during the rain.

The little squirrels also take advantage of their most generous host
It seems they like chasing each other up and down the tree's trunk the most.

The tree is now bursting with activity
With all of God's wee ones living His promise of love and longevity.

All through the summer the tree takes pleasure as it continually strives
To serve as the best meeting place for everything that creeps, leaps or flies.

Full of contentment, I'll bet the tree lets out a happy sigh
Every time it watches a baby bird learn how to fly
Or whenever a caterpillar turns into a pretty butterfly.

I often wonder if the tree truly understands
The major part it plays in God's circle of life simply because it stands.

Fall has now arrived and the tree appears sort of saddened by the sound
Of its first leaf gently falling to the ground.

All of its friends begin packing it up as they gather for a big revival
That's when the tree wishes them a safe and happy journey as they head south for their survival.

The tree bids each one farewell and says loud and clear
"To each God's speed and have no fear
For I'll be waiting right here when you come back next year."

It is now winter and a year in the life of the tree has come full circled once more
Although lonely, it is bigger and stronger than ever before.

But I know not to feel sadness, especially for the tree's sake
For in God's plan, He makes sure even the tree gets a well-deserved break.

Black isn't our name its Beautiful

Being black is not just a figure of speech

Its a noun, adj., & knowing when & when not to turn the other cheek

Many pioneers has lived with the mis representation

While some died fighting to end the civil frustrations

Being black isn't as bad as it may look

Our physical properties don't represent the makings of a crook

Our natural elements are sustainability & resilience

Our original nature made us uniquely

Brilliant enough to handle our own responsibilities

Our culture is design to shine bright so that everyone can see

The Afro American culture sets the tone for a concrete society

And need no help to raise our family

just equality

Even with methods that was used to torment us

"We shall overcome" was a phrase that helped boost us

"By any means necessary" we struggled through the turmoil

Once we began to re "know thyself" the bigots of the world started to boil

Then had to recognize our true uniting potentials

They psychologically uses entertainment to convince us

And install hate inside our mental

Through dis associating our past & segregating our class

Degenerating our creative intentions

Re imagining our mind with criminal inscriptions

So Trust

All we got is us

Our ingredients posses spiritual reasons to teach

They figure since we was enslaved & freed

Afro Americans wouldn't know how to reach

We paved the way to preach

So to prove their unintelligent

They dictated our intellectual & spiritual nature by the color of our butts

Pardon my speech

The Long Way Home

trotting across my back field
there’s a storm brewing-in
it’s misty friend is climbing
through the cold, prickly wires

Delicately drenched,
as wet as
a dog’s kiss,
there’s a-storm brewing-in
it’s casual pal is breezing-
bothering the wicker trees.

his smile-
brightens my mind
like the italian renaissance.
inhaling red tipped
we chat under the glistening leaves.

But there’s a storm brewing-in
it’s hamper full dirty laundry
is drying-
stringing across my back yard.

his laugh-
is as pleasing
as old dogs learning new tricks.
Just one more outburst,
and I swear this storm will turn to stone.

I bask-
his attention is as gratifying
as a masters gentle stroke
just one more round of
darting eyes and light hearted jokes.

I realize now,
He grumpiness does best
to protect what’s raw and rare-
from the snakes who try to tear us away from home.

Like stumpy cigarettes,
hanging off the tips
of tough our lips.
we’ll share each other’s worlds.
Yes, Like stumpy cigarettes,
hanging off the tips
of tough our lips.
let’s melt into each other’s worlds.

On Roman ruled British isle, to the deacon and his wife fair;
On a beautiful morn, our Patrick was born, in a forth century lair

Young and bright as a button; taken by knavish raiders - not fair
At tender age sixteen, long time not be seen, a dutiful slave to Eire

God spoke to devoted Patrick in a dream on this Emerald Isle
Boarded ship and set sail, in Britain to tell the tale; Gaul: priesthood and file
In 432, back to Eire to convert the pagans worshiping even a rock
To explain the Holy Trinity, enlightening them till affinity, he used the shamrock

Pat inspired the Irish festival, history tells his colour was blue,
The wearing of the Green, even if one can't keen - Skyfest invites all parties true

Sung by a tone deaf (they all were) mistrel, tanked up on green beer

The Poem Tree

The poem tree is a very safe haven,
for birds and fowl, a hawk, a raven, or
a little barn owl.The tree could be a
silhouette, or the finest place to raise
your pet.The poem tree could bear
the fruit of life.Such as apples and
pears, with morning dew.A wonderful
place to play the flute. The poem tree
could have a nest.Giving birds with
eggs, a place to rest.It could capture
a kite who someone lost, or be bitten
by the morning frost. It could capture
a balloon, which went astray, or drop
all its leaflets by the bay.The poem
tree could have a lollipop, or maybe
a candycane, umbrella branches, to
stop the rain. The tree could protect
all animals, from an oncoming flood,
and keep all the tree bugs out of the
mud.Above the tree the sun will shine.
Home for a raccoon, or a porcupine..

Gates of Spring

The hard cold road of Winter ends
At green meadowed gates of Spring
As dove's wings flutter feathers bend
And birds once again want to sing

Sun's warm eye has opened anew
Giving its glare to every seed
The cool gray skies finally changed blue
Cold rain rumbles to fill a need

Rainbows appear and cross the sky
And wear colors of varied hues
Fog rises from Nature's Spring sighs
Lays on soft bended grass as dew

Birds on wing limb to limb at ease
Whistle a melody for mates
Butterflies float on the warm breeze
With colorful wings that stimulate

Winter ends at the gates of Spring
Meadows turn lush as flowers bloom
Spring's symphony strikes its bow string
Nature bows with a colored plume

Spring Surprise

Who remembers, is it only me?
When March had drizzled, and April fooled us...
But a morning in the month of May.........

We'd spread upon a kitchen table
Paste made of flour, scissors, borrowed
paper, crayons of rainbow colors
Pretty paper doilies and….
Mama letting little hands
Create surprises, of cone shaped fans…

The memory shrugs so many years
Where innocence, was cut and shaped
Into bright-sprigged paper cones
Accomplishments, each of our own

On May the first, a small bouquet
We would rehearse, a verse to say
To spread come spring, then run away

Then quickly running out the door
To pick spring beauties, one by one
Fresh Lillies of the Valley, wildwood fern,
Gathering them, heavy on their stems
Sweet and fresh as morning dew,
So filled with springtime, filled with bloom

Then paper cones were flower filled
Small bouquets of sweet perfume
Then down the dusty road we trudged
Side by side, with grins of pride
No greater pleasure as a child
The thought of bringing someone smiles

On May the first, a small bouquet
We would rehearse, a verse to say
To spread come spring, then run away

Timid knocking on a door
 “Surprise...Surprise! Look what’s in store!”
Our little legs now running fast,
And down the road, quite out of breath
Behind a tree, where we would hide
And watch them find this flower prize
Must not....get caught.....must not get caught!
And we were taught
That bringing gifts to make them sigh
Was worth a lot !! Was worth the thought
A thoughtful way to light their eyes

On May the first, a small bouquet
We would rehearse, a verse to say
To spread come spring, then run away

The world spinning round
A park bench
The wind...
The only sound
Red and gold
Tumbling leaves

How a world can stop
Turn by turn...
Park bench
Life burning by
Sit through the day
Passing play...
Park bench
It's the only way

The Growing Trees

The Growing Trees

When I was a younger man,
So many years ago,
I looked out of the window
To see them in a row,
Well established conifers
Growing on the hill,
Level with a tiled roof
Beyond my window sill.

Today I paused reflecting,
Gazing through the glass.
I see the trees grew taller
As those years come and pass.
Their trunks are soaring upwards,
Crowns stark again the sky.
While they shall all continue on
My life is passing by.

Silent times

Silent times

Sometimes, I really do not care
About anything at all
My mind goes kind of quiet then
My mode is kind of cool
And all I really want to do
Is sit here looking in
Forgetting all the world outside
Forgetting all the din

There’s a time to send ones energy
And circle it around
But then there comes a sacred time
When the harmony is found
Waiting there within the dark
To hold one cozily
A time to be in her soft clutch
And bask there happily.

Then when the muse has been recharged
It’s time to wander back
And let the words come pouring out
Cause just along the track
The wind, the flowers and dancing trees
Have replaced the mystery
So now the words they may flow free
With much more energy.

Starlit night

Starlit Night.

Way up there in the great North West
In a place called Exmouth town
I’m lying on a sandy beach
With sea so vast and grand,
And I’m waiting for the turtles
To beach and lay their eggs,
As the evening’s soft and balmy
And the sand’s a snug warm bed.

No turtles came ashore that night,
Cause folk were everywhere.
With too much foolish people noise,
Oh, so much din was there.
No turtle would be that insane,
It was like a circus show.
So me well I just settled down,
And went me with the flow.

I lay there looking at the skies,
And as the day went dim,
I saw the stars a gleam like jewels,
As me, I dived within.
And Venus glowing like a lamp
Reflected from the ocean.
Aphrodite did shine through her,
I could feel me loves devotion.

And Orion was above my head,
Three stars there in a row.
And above them was that greyish haze,
It was like a milky glow.
And that milky- way poured into me,
As I felt such mystery.
And in that mystic space so vast
I glimpsed me ecstasy.

Two hours passed, my mind was stoned ,
By the beauty of the night.
As the star of love shone so intense,
With no moon there in sight,
And I thanked the all so tenderly,
For the bliss I gained within.
I never saw no turtles there,
But I cleansed my mind of din.

Autumn's past horizon's
whose clouds coast above the trees
woodland paths are dusted
with the falls of the turning leaves

Four corners of the Winds
in summer exhales release their breath
another season's gone
and lay's to the past it's death

Often my mind has danced
in the corridor's of the earth
where winter's snow has melted
hastening the springs new birth

I've rambled down many roads
and I've sang a many song
been scratched by weeds and brambles
and waded in the worlds wrong

Bridges on the road I've crossed
upon the many paths that man has trekked
but only one road can lead you
upon a course which is circumspect

It was always for you
every path I ever sought
every step I ever made
the ones my heart was taught

I desire not gold or silver
but the nectar of your lips
a wine so intoxicating
the truth like honey drips

Like the passing of the seasons
and the lives you so enrich
truth and beauty enhances life
there's no question of choosing which

Her special place

Dedicated to my cousin Susan who suffers from Parkinson's disease. yet handles it so bravely.

Her special place

Deep in the heart of England
There is a little pond
And near that pond there is a seat
With a view of the beyond
Between two trees amidst the grass
That grows so lush and green
And on that seat, a lady’s sits
All looking so serene.

She’s in love with all of nature
And loves to sit outside
It’s where she goes into her soul
Where all is deified
She looks into her essence there
As she asks so peacefully
‘what does it feel like to be me’?
Then sees what she can see.

She’s sat here now for six long months
It makes her feel serene
Just to think about that place
Where everything looks green
She visits there just once a day
To close her soft sad eyes
And look at who she really is
Which keeps the lady wise.

They’re everywhere
These pretty little creatures
On the serpent road to Exmouth
They be some of the features
Along with Emus, Kangaroos
And handsome birds of prey
These little goats be bountiful
They’re all along the way.

They be domestic goats
Who’ve gone back to the wilds
Where they have bred one million fold.
As one moves along the miles
These little goats be seen so much
In their many shades and hues
Don’t know where they got their water
It be tough country too.

The weather here be hot and dry
As the sun bakes everything
And mostly here no rain does fall
To drinking water bring.
And yet these goats look healthy as
Such nimble little beasts
You’d see some dead there in the road
As the crows do have their feast.

That be the price of progress
That poor beasts have to die
That be the curse of human beings
Sometimes it makes me cry
Yet still they be so plentiful
These handsome little guys
Another little part of nature
That make love in me rise.

The Emerald Tree

In the forest world
we came to know
There stood an Emerald Tree
Whose beauty did bestow

Tall and strong
Rich textured bark
Emerald leaves
Upon the sun shone
Soft and bright

The seed had been carried
Upon a ship
Filled with sail
Carefully stored
From Heartstone
To the Land of a Thousand Suns,
it was implored...

In such mysteries
In magick
Across the sea
Upon a ship
Filled with sail
Was borne the Emerald Tree

The seed lay in its' box
In the magick of the Spring Queen
A gift for the Forest Queen
In the lands of richest green
The Emerald Tree had been wished
by Amethyst

The box was opened
When the moon rose high
In the glades
It found its' home
In the forest it grew
In shades
Of Emerald green

In the Forest World
A tree,like no other
Belonged to a Queen
The likes, never seen

The tree grew,
in happiness,
in sunlight,
in love,
For high above
In the canopies
In ever changing hues
It was seen
In new Emerald green

The branches grew wide
Faeries and little folk
Came to see,
to live,
to breathe,
The Emerald Tree,
that did sigh

Summer passed
Autumn too
Winter came
Yet The Emerald Trees' colours
did not change in any hue

A tree,to live forever
Amethyst,with her belief,
visited the tree, every day
Her hand ,upon the bark
In her heart
Enclosed by a Kings' Leaf
She understood
In a forest wood

A sentient tree
Connected to the Forest Queen
In whose heart,a leaf curled
magicked by a Kings' love
She ruled all
In the Forest World

The years passed
A Queen was of age
Sweeping branches
Of Emerald green

A Tree to last
Emerald green
Silver tipped leaves
That murmured
and whispered
In its' love

At the Place of the Rising Moon
The Emerald Tree shone
Above all others
So many things ,it knew
It was the wisest
To the Forest Queen,
It did belong

As a little girl
She had climbed up high
In its' branches
Sensed its' heart
Cloaked in Emerald green
Wind rustle
Wind high
A sentient tree
Did sigh

In the moonlight
There it stood
Above all others
Above all wood
In soft green bright

Amethyst ,gathered the seeds
leaves too
All of the tree was precious
For its' colour did not fade
Leaves can fall
Leaves can turn
Never The Emerald Tree
Never a changing hue

The Emerald Tree had but one mark
The tiny hand print
Upon its' bark
From a young girl
Who connected with everything

When the moon passed by
Amethyst,Forest Queen
Planted the seeds
In a whispering wood
Wind rustle
Wind high
Sentient trees
Did sigh

One cannot leave the books..
The precious books..
Not to be lost in the mists of magic
For, a book unopened...
Is a heart with no love

Castle Heartstones' library,
was taken aboard
Before Tapestry
Before Sword

Enchanted things happen,
in a Kings' Library
For, books are alive
A book will find you

The books travelled through corridors
For, books must find their way to you
From a Kings' Library,
to your heart
For, words have more than one meaning too

Books of the seasons
Such colour glowing,
amongst the pages
Queens' pride showing

Books of stars
and sunbright
Above all
The book of The Wise Ways
In a Kings' Library
for all to see

The Storms of Africa

Cumulus Nimbus
To build upon the plains
On sun ripened grass
Golden yellow
The blinding white
Glorious hammerheads
Towered to the sky
The coming rains

Colours ,can change too
In the heat of afternoons
The billowing white
Became blue
Darkened skies
Upon the plains
The first thunders
The coming rains

The flickering ,
of light
Upon the plains
Golden yellow
In sun ripened winter
In the growing purple
From the blue
From the white

In the cumulus
In cloud dark
The thunder has begun
I could see the rain,
in silver streams,
the hidden sun
The light, flickered
Scattering the light shards,
upon me
In the storms of Africa

The lightning arced,
across so many skies
In the wanderings
Upon the plains
In sun ripened winter grass
Golden yellow
The birds, startled cries
In the falling,
of sweet rains

The glorious spires to the sky
Of storms over Africa
In the scatterings of light
Colours ,can change too,
as did I
In the washed tones of purple and blue

Termite country

Termite Country

We’re heading north to Exmouth,
Carnarvon we’ve just passed.
We be driving up a serpent road,
As the country seems so vast.
It’s hot outside, but in this van,
The air cons on and all,
As all along the road we pass,
Little goats, so beautiful….

And everywhere, most endlessly,
There’s a billion termite mounds.
Like baked brown little mountains,
They’re everywhere around.
We stopped near one, I marveled,
That a tiny beast, and blind!
Could build these blessed monuments,
It nearly blew my mind.

I took me then some photographs
Of these engineering feats,
As I let the awe and wonder,
Into my dull mind seep.
In such a vast, still country,
In the silence of the way,
Those mounds stood out so powerful,
In the heat of a sunburned day.

Dawn is breaking

Dawn is breaking

Willie wagtail in my garden
Sings a very special song
Telling me the sun is coming
Dawn will break soon, won’t be long
It’s dark outside with full moon shining
But soon the light will show its face
Green parrot makes his bell like music
How his song has so much grace

Kookaburra, he is laughing
Something funny has touched him
Could he be laughing at us human’s
With all our wars and crazy din?
Spring is just around the corner
And all of nature seems to know
As I sit here in the morning
My world it has a special glow.

Now the world has gone all silent
Waiting for the dawn to break
Soon the chorus is beginning
Singing just for loves own sake
All the birds will join the chorus
And my heart will start to sing
How I love these life soaked mornings
Such joy to me they always bring.

Those blessed wetland trails

Those blessed wetland trails.

The sun is shining lazily
The sky is azure blue
As green leaves dance with the morning breeze
The birds be singing too
They sing a serenade of bliss
And peace is all around
As all along these wetland trails
Blue lupins can be found.

The perfume heavy in the air
It speaks of wild geraniums
The young ferns looking soft and green
And all those tall wild gums
Give out a rather pungent scent
A smell I've learned to love
As parrots screech in blissfull joy
In those trees there high above.

The lake, she glimmers neath the sun
As the ducks give lazy quacks
My feet scrape on the sand and gravel
As I stroll along this track.
Trees all gnarled and and twisted
Form a tunnel just for me
Oh I could write forever
But for now, I'll leave it be.

Zanaku, grey wolf.

He walks at night,
It sleeps by day,
Basking in the moonlight,
Or so they say,
With the form of a wolf,
And the soul of a man,
With a tale that can move,
And a mind that can plan,
With a coat of gray hair,
And eyes always crying,
People seem to care,
People are always lying,
He howls at the moon,
So desolate and sad,
Good times go too soon,
As did all that he had,
Living in the woods,
So far from redemption,
Plagued by dark thoughts,
Too many to mention,
The gray wolf walks alone,
Carrying his past,
All that he called his own,
Found it hard to last,
Staring at the clouds,
And standing in their rain,
Find no relief from his constant pain,
Such a doleful look,
Calls on the heart to bleed,
Life gave and then it took,
All that he came to need,
So he rises to go,
Lonely, though no one cares,
As if they didn't know,
Lone wolves don't come in pairs.

Weather's Changing

The air is sweet, the sky is clear
I know for sure that summer’s near
Pass my sandals and shades my dear
I’ve joy in my heart and nothing to fear

Winter was dark and long and cold
Not even the sun could break its cruel mould
It rained so hard I’m glad my house could hold
But when winter ended, my heart turned to gold

I’m searching a good spot, my place in the sun
I’m yearning for laughter, compassion and fun
To stretch my long legs, see how far I can run
To find my soul mate - and say “You’re the One”

Well I’ve found a good spot, I’m searching no more
I’m laughing and running until I’m sore
My heart has mended, its really not raw
Now I can say “This is what I’ve been looking for!”

The Summer of the Winter Sky

It was time for the leaves to fall,
The fields to turn white,
The birds to leave for faraway lands-
And the long cold lonely nights.

Seemed like for eternity
She hadn’t had a smile -
Frozen was the world around
Lonely she walked for miles.
Dead were the blossoms in her garden,
And love was about to die-
And yet she prayed to her unseen friend -
For the summer of the winter sky!

Not a song was heard at dawn,
Only the echo of the wind-
In the misty field of corn
Not a farmer was seen!
A wait so long, so painful to bear
Left alone with no one so near
She was lost in her own reverie-
With tears in her dreamy eyes.
And she prayed as her heart cried-
Longing for the summer of the winter sky.

No one knows who heard her prayer
Lost amidst the silence
And yet an early morning bud
Blossomed in her garden!
Suddenly a little sparrow was seen
High on the branch of the willow tree
Singing a song as if to welcome-
Amidst the grey sky, a sun so warm.
And love then again knocked her door
Promising a life like never before-
And like a happy child she opened her eyes
For it was summer for the winter sky!

On a summer day
The Queen and her Faeries
Went out to play
Amongst the whispering trees

So much joy to be found
Amongst the Whispering Trees
To hear bird sound
The red squirrels chattering in the canopies

All the trees were in full leaf
So many different shades of deepest richest green
With a blue sky above
Golden sun
A forest, filled with love
The beauty to be seen

Forest Faeries could be heard up high
Amongst the green leaves
Watching summer clouds passing by

They called down to a Summer Queen
Who was walking down below
“We have special gift for a King”
“Please accept this beautiful thing”
“From all of us so”

A beautiful leaf fluttered down
Greens and golds
Reds too
A beautiful leaf
In the shape of a heart, true

“A leaf”
“A leaf”
They called from above
“For a Kings’ cloak”
A leaf that would never die
Its’ colours would match seasons
A leaf from the forest faeries
Who live in trees, so high

The Summer Queen
Did know
Blessed all around
The leaf, she took
For a leaf of deepest, richest colour
Was perfect for a Kings’cloak
Tonight she would sew
a surprise

The kings’ cloak was called for
A Summer Queen sewed on the leaf
A King, the proudly wore
For, it shone with love
A gift from the Forest Faeries
and Whispering Trees

When the Earthen King died
The Summer Queen took
The very leaf, from his side
Blew on it softly
A sweet westerly breeze
Returned the leaf
To the whispering trees

A leaf of deepest richest green
mourned a King
The tears of the Summer Queen
Love and magic
The Whispering Trees
Took the king,
and made him part of everything

I lived as stardust
In a galaxy way
Every night
Every day

I met some of you
In a galaxy way
A search
To find
All of it too

A thought
Can travel
By the way
In a galaxy way

Stars to collide
By the way
Every night
Every day
How we met
How we played
In a galaxy way

The joy of the pheasant shoot

The joy of the pheasant shoot.

Getting set for the big event
The good folk do their stuff
They beat the earth with sticks, do they?
With their little dogs so tough
They flush those pheasants from the scrub
So all can have some fun
Killing them with smiling faces
As they fire beloved guns.

Then as the pheasants in a panic
They bolt into the sky
Our hero’s with their guns in hand
Make sure that hundreds die
As the air is filled with the cracking sounds
As birds fall all around
Just so these fools can get there jollies
These corpses cover ground.

I wonder sometimes if these hero’s
Have any souls at all
That they could get such satisfaction
Doing these acts so cruel
Sometimes it leaves me speechless
At the way folk get their pleasure
Killing beauty just for fun
Is an ugly kind of leisure.

Sun and Moon Flowers

                                                           Sun and Moon Flowers

These flowers have come from God above,
And reflect the sun and moon.
We must enjoy their beauty now
For their beauty will leave us soon.

It’s from the garden there below
That they’ve been blessed by God.
                                             He’s given us their beauty,
And we’ve unearthed them from the sod.

The bright flowers in the vase,
                                             They reflect the sun.
The pale flowers reflect the moon we see
                                             When the day is done.

                                             These flowers we will cherish
Just like the sun and moon above,
And be thankful that they’re given
With God’s blessing and His love.

The Albatross

Under thunder blows a colder wind, across an endless sea,
Like a voice from the call of a far off shore in the solitude we perceive;
For ago remained an innocent age, torn away by a thousand years
Where sincerity alone is tied to its own majestic grace;
But flow on the bluest waves over the oceans deep and wide
Waiting long for things abandoned

Forsake those condemned to the early dawn, far past ten thousand year’s,
Still in all its silent symmetry, flies by a bird on wing;
Mysterious seemed that outstretched arm, in all 10 feet in span
Grasping what came from the east, bound to rays of light;
For seas are blessed by both good and bad
Waiting long for what’s abandoned

Fifty years is doomed to its own intent, lost in its own emotion,
While all that we can hold, is a time fifty thousand past;
Come see what waits is a soul possessed, holding a daylights passage
Where what seemed lost is an albatross, staring through its blacker eyes;
But all we see is the bluest sea, left under tomorrow’s sky
Waiting long for things abandoned

Crashes still those crystalline waves, warmed by spring’s rebirth,
Until we see an albatross, departing as the seasons change;
And a hundred thousand years escapes, slips away from time and place
Bound to the cliffs and bound to the rushes of a land so far away;
For over the bluest sea, is the sunlight that we seek
Waiting long for those things abandoned

Surrounded is he who waits in the shadow, lost to the rhythm we’ve created,
While somewhere stands an albatross, and drinks its salted wine;
For now is past a million years, gone to the mystery of life
Lost in the worth of simplicity and the innocents of desire;
But now the bluest sea is calm, with no sign of what is past
Waiting long for things abandoned
Escaped the thought of an albatross bound to the symbol of its virtue,
Leashed to the seas and the sound of the waves, longing a far off shore;
Hold on to the meaning of our vision, past ten million years
And hear the call of an albatross, its beauty and its wonder;
For here we see the bluest sea, in a land of lost intent
Waiting long for those things abandoned

With the furious rage of a thousand Winters,
A sea of injustice, waiting at the spout.
Like the irritated bite of a good man's splinters,
That swindle and split when sweetly plucked out.

The frost-fangs froth into an empty grave,
And leave all, cowering below, to their bitter end.
Sovereign cragsmen, smothered as slaves,
Like a crumbling ship, so desperate to scend.

The mighty Alps, now a fresh garden of bones,
As its prey lie tangled in the ghastly web.
Listen to the innocent and their soft, muted moans,
And slowly keep climbing from your cruel misstep.

Language Stillest

Language Stillest

I gazed
I saw
The little rose petal
Red, violet, blue, pink, white
Colours hazed
Flying by the lip of the bridge

Put my palm
to own it
Zoom! It shuns
just an inch away.
Follow it again
the millionth time
can’t hold it still.

The fragrance tells
The warmth! Belonging!
Warmth is
Language stillest
Unsopken but
Wholly apprehended

Sweet rose be mine,
I pray.

The Heart's Anxiety

Shall I compare thee to a Fall Afternoon,
Nature's final chance, before eventual doom,
Opportunity for some and failure for a few,
Love is in the air, however, what will you do?

She has an intellect worth noting and long hair always glowing,
However, without effort, there is no knowing,
No clues ever seem to be showing,
Being vague is a curse, and a curse worth knowing.

My mind is in a haze as I think about asking her,
She could make life worth living, or just slam the door,
She could have a heart of ice to make me go "BUR"
But honest, what use is the waiting for?

Here is my chance as the night comes clear,
Time is important and the last leaf is near,
Risk is needed for all that is dear,
It is better to fail, than to miss something so near.

The Ibis episode

The Ibis Episode

Today I walked into my garden
To give our dog attention
{Now he’s a dog so big and strong
I guess this I should mention}
And then my eyes, rested upon
This bird, a sacred Ibis
Which made me worry quite a bit
Cause my pond was filled with fish.

This big birds strutted round the place
He could not seem to fly
But I knew that if my Boy caught him
The poor bird well might die
So I was in a quandary
As to what I well might do
So I put the dog into the house
So I could think thing s through

I walked up to the mulberry tree
{He was perched upon a limb}
And I really got quite close to him
And softly spoke to him
He didn’t seem to mind at all
But then, he flew away
It seems he wasn’t hurt at all
Which really made my day.

The lakes edge
Shone in silver light
A moon , so bright,
in a dark forest night

The moon rose silently
In a clear starlight sky
The creatures of the night
Came out in a dark forest,
to play, in moonlight

Such unnaturally tall trees,
with no branches in sight
No leaves
Stood still
In a dark forest
Under moonlight

As I drew closer
The tall trees were all in a row
No branches in sight
I pulled away the tangled vines
I could see...
Masts, spars ropes and lines

The ships!
The wood in which a ship is made
Returned to the dark forest
Where the keel was shaped and laid

The wooden ships that carried the Heartstone
Across a sea, so blue
Had returned to a forest
That the timbers once knew

When a ship comes to die
It must return
To where its timbers were born
A ship to lie....
Amongst the trees
The masts, swaying in a gentle breeze

The whispering trees
Took the ships
Took the wood
Made it their own
As any magic could

In a dark forest
Graceful ships of wood
No longer hear the sea roar
instead of sails they once wore
They hear birds singing
Leaves rustle
Masts creaking

Ships, run aground
In a dark forest
Back to wood
Back to trees
Waiting to be found
Leaves replaced sails
Spars became branches
Became something new

Freddy the Fly

Dapper Freddy,
the house fly
and this is a fly
not prone to lie

he does buzz around
at breakneck speed
he wears his crown
a fly-king, indeed

a cinch for him
to ceiling walk
or climb up walls
he can even fly-talk!!

yes Freddy is cool,
he really is
just passed my eyes
he sure did wiz

well Freddy was in search
of a Mrs. Freddy Fly
tired of being a bachelor
I don't know why

he did woo his share
of lovely gnats
everytime one went by
he'd remove his hats

Freddy was also brave,
fearing not insect spray
nor swift used swatter
the more he was hunted
the more his temperature got hotter

one day Freddy will likely die
perhaps his fly-body landing
on a window sill
seems the place they end up
more oft than not
even without an insect spray shot

so go on your merry way for now,
Freddy Fly, my dear little fly-friend
just stay away from my food
or meet your Freddy Fly end!!

A Little Yellow Bird

The rumble of thunder and falling rain
Roll across the dale and plain
As springtime sounds return the green
The pride of nature proudly preen
Atop the noble fir tree’s crest
The virile warbler guards a nest
Swaying gently on a limb
A mate rests beside of him
O’er the forest a song is heard
Warbled by a little yellow bird

Night's a groovy lady

Orange lights shine from street lamps,
orange lights shine on what is paved,
Something about the tail end of our conversation
left me feeling slightly vague.

This car has
Translucent windows,
like a submarine out at sea,
the current swallows red headlights
while exhaling shiny, tipped waves

Looking through the rearview mirror,
The night was staring back at me.
She’s a delicate, psychedelic lady
Ripe with her purity.

Reading the white lights of the city,
I place a book mark for a rainy day.
gliding towards the illuminated tunnel

(traffic sounds)

Into Bustling traffic,
and faster paced people,
I never considered cigarettes,
until I washed up,
 onto this flickering scene.

Sirens sound,
Traffic skates,
strangers smile and frown.

got myself a traveling circus,
of people I call friends.

Funny how little flares of imagination
send us shooting to the stars-

(party sounds)

like banging of pots and pans
The ruckus in the room,
has me bouncing off the walls

Police Officers,
neon green tuxedos-
Penny Lane.
we are all just here tonight, dancing,
along this colorful, crazy row-boat of life.

we are all just here tonight dancing-
like sunlight touching diamonds,
we are dancing

Funny how little flares of imagination,
send us all stringing along.

Feeding time

Feeding Time

Those birds sit in the Banksia tree
They wait there silently
Then every now and then these guys
They screech on out to me
The trays are empty down below
There ain’t no seed to eat
And so they call on out to me
And give to me some heat.

I run outside and fill those trays
Like every day before
Those Guys they watch me from the tree
They’re smart birds that’s for sure
I do my job and move away
Then they dive bomb through the air
All squabbling and a bickering
And fighting for their share.

The big boss Coccy I call him Fred
He seems to run the show
He calls the shots, he always does
He’ll always let them know
That he’s the boss and with his spouse
{]I call his misses June}
They feed alone on one seed tray
But they be finished soon.

Then all the parrots crash on down
Doing wheelies in the sky
A screeching and a carrying on
Oh lord, they’re noisy guys.
Then when they’ve finished feeding
Well suddenly they’re gone
They fly so crazy through the air
Oh how they carry on.

I love my Mousey,
She lives in a field in BrushCreek, Tennessee,
Walking with her her of cattle,
As happy as she will ever be.

Without this there would be only she,
And i could make her as happy as me,

I miss her immensly, for thee i wish well,
For everyday i wish she wont sell,
And I could show her in the Dekalb County Fair,
I would sell never an ounce of her.
Hehe not even one of her little white hairs.

Even when all the way over there,
Mine she is for no one but me to share, if I do so happen to dare.

Cute as a button,
A button her nose may well be,
Where I first touched her sweet little body,
Not once but twice sweetly,
For wherever she goes I could spot her, along with her sister and mother.

Many a mile away, for she is not at all,
Not at all what you would say a little grayish thing.

But a heifer who grows daily,
Only to shove the motherly tears away.
In my eyes though, she will always be, forever and always, my baby girl, my sweetie,
my beautiful girl, my Mousey

When Thru The Mirror You Look

When thru the mirror you look,
It is but an image you behold.

That frame of putrefying flesh,
Whose frail and lusty minds,
Have yielded to that lust from below.

When thru the mirror you look,
It is but an image you behold,
In which resides that diabolic soul
The Lamb gave each of us to control.

Willow Soft And Free

My willow,my love
softly weeping
your canopy of soft lash and emerald vine
takes me endless in dreams of wispy love
of shadowed beauty
where summer breeze roam
a place where moonbeams lightly touch
a silken face of dulcet love

my willow, my song
sway grace in lasting hymn
to you my fortress
my only love

I lay silent within.........

My goddess let me down

My goddess let me down.

My Goddess grew there in the yard
She looked so wonderful
She grew a bloody foot a day
Without no qualms at all
I got me quite excited by
The way my lady grew
Oh she was green and beautiful
She looked so lush and true.

I’d walk around my little yard
And then I’d stand with her
With love all wrote within my heart
My eyes a kind of blur
As thought of all the fun I’d have
Getting high most every day
Oh it would last for quite a while
I was chuffed in every way

But then One day I did find out
Something that made me cry
My dope plant was a ruddy male
No buds to get me high
Oh, how the shock grabbed hold of me
Well I was down for days
My goddess, she had balls on her
Then I tossed my tears away

So I grabbed me all those leaves
That grew upon this shrub
And shoved them in a great big pot
For cookies I just love
No smoke to clog me blooming lungs
Yet still the same old high`
And me, I’m quite adaptable
I am that type of guy

SHIPWRECKED for white contest et al

He was lost in white surprise
Of drugs and doctors quips
His mind was filled with flapping sails
Of white that guide the ships
To dance among the white capped rocks
In North white nights of June
Bring in the catch to catch the maid
Who’d be his wife so soon.

Wild hair so white it shamed the sheet
That soft caressed the grass
The grass-plagued daisies held her there
As clouds triumphant passed
In columns white the bossy clouds
Marched brisk across the sky
But none of them could match the spark
Of whiteness in her eye.

And then his shocked brain shifted
Jigged timed across his life
How many white nights had escaped?
The maid now was his wife!
Saw breasts so white that milk they gave
Seemed paltry in contrast--
To feed the babe that snuggled there--
The fruit of love surpassed.

Then shipwreck banged into his head
The white-flashed lightning zing--
He tested feet and moved his legs
Seemed he’d survived this fling
Of nature’s whims again he’d live
 to tell the lusty tale
of how north winds had jumped from waves
to grab their ship's main sail.
Before the White Christ
Had emerged from his Semitic genes
The sailors would have cried for Thor
To ease his hammerings.

Sailors lost were prices paid
To live in northern shores.
And, lost at sea was ever feared
By them, and wives adored.

He’d play a trick, they’d think him dead--
Would make a crafty tale!
By his hearth and in his bed
would sound a mourning wail.
His house would be a feast of black
Mad weeping would impress--
Then his imagination called her tears
He vowed each tear to bless

He smirked to think of their surprise
When he stalked through the door--

       An unsuccessful leap from bed—
                       He’d rest a little more.

And being man-- he pondered sex
And pleasures it would bring
There was no sizzling passion like
His lover’s offering.

Needle rudely poked-
Morphia drew him in
To dream the dreams of healing arms
       delightful prickles of his skin
He found her far beyond his pain--Oh, that smile that could disarm!
In dreams , with wife, in languid bliss
         created white hot charm.

Winter wild of flurries
In ancient minds
Was a shelter
  From white fear

Wolves roved
  Stayed in packs
   Howled their presence
   Hating snow

Bears slept
 Hidden away
 Violence and terror
  Only a summer dream

White drifts
  Blazing blizzards
  Wrapped safety
   Around fragile human life.

In a basin of jewelled bronze

The leaves lay

Many colours

Of many shades

To become a tapestry

Trees never die

They are forever made

A soft wind blew

Gentle on the leaves

The Queen took them

Kissed them too

Made many

Threads spun

Magical weaves

The trees have begun

Upon the cloth

A mighty tree grew

In shades of green

Of soft leaf

Texture of bark

Of branches, seen

The trunk grew strong and tall

Of threads spun

Texture of bark

I can hear its’ heart

The first of many

The trees have begun

Branches reached out to play

Touching the sky

The joy

To see how it grew

The leaves from the basin

Of jewelled bronze

 Carried by the summer queen

With a soft kiss….

One by one

They were blown onto the tapestry

The leaves multiplied

Faeries darted back and forth

Sewed each one

Of threads spun

Woven magic

The tree has begun

The heart of the tree

Could be heard

Very softly sighing

The first of many

Upon a tapestry

Where leaves were laid

Branches reached out

Touching the sky

That a Queen made

To a castle door

Leaves were left

Memories of suns

and seasons

For trees never die

Of threads spun

Woven magic

The trees have begun

An Autumn King

The growing of a boy
To a man
Steps learned
The passage of journeys
Of the heart
Of the mind
Of the trees

There can only be
One Earth King
Love can never die
He lives
For, he is part of everything

His crown
Now decorated with leaves
From an Autumn Queen
For a boy born in Autumn
Became a man
Became a king
Became everything

The Whispering trees
Sent a leaf
For a new King to wear
For a King crowned
Upon his knees
The responsibility to bear
Of Heartstone
The new King stood up
Proud and tall
With Autumn leaves in his crown
The gathering of the Elements
The Seasons
The Winds
Celebrated in the Great Hall

Trees, whispered again
A beginning
Something new
For a king
A beginning
To a new reign

The Heartstone glowed
For a King
Who stood tall
An Autumn boy
The joy
The love
Brought in to a hall

A sense of sadness
For the passing
Of an Earthen King
His face
His stories
Now on the Tapestry of Magic
That hung in the Great Hall

His love
For everything
The Learning of the Wise Ways
His humility
Is what makes a great King
The leaf
Given by the Whispering Trees
Upon his cloak of forest bark and leaves
He kissed it,
and believed

A sense of joy
For an Autumn King
The tears that ran down his face
Were tears of sweet gentle rain
For a boy
A new beginning
Born in Autumn
Became a man
Became a King

Steel Silk and Thunder

Steel Silk and Thunder

You ask me to condense this time, you say –
You ask how well I can squeeze and squander all
This day.
These thoughts are days and weeks full with moments
Stretched across the sky.
I see this all too clearly, how your will is brought
How unrelenting love can be; it drives the eyes
To see such fury – such wondrous spinnings in
The void; all one seeks chases now in folly;
This word appears again: Folly.
For foolish is the cover source of eye to shield.
All simple bleak remorse and cannon content
Bleeds within; a sleek sliver of truth confines me this
Moment; this baleful, primordial day’s mourning;
Oh, God I have loved thee so, I see you in the
Trees and skies, yet all slips through my hands
In measure; all is lost in fleeting pleasure – in
Movement, in matter of fuss and confusion; in
All I see amid horizons forming nothing, but
This must be as it is this day –
I accept your dimly wrought decision.

O mysterious light
as the eyes of my faithful sweet-heart,
inspire the distant soul
of this poet in distraught...
whose poem is still unfinished;
give him the rhythm and flow
to embellish his heart-felt verse
with sentiment and thoughtfulness!

Beyond the rolling waves,
ships carry secret lovers
who deride and defy their fate
and set their souls on fire...
without feeling a need in dire,
or admitting an awful mistake!

O mysterious sea...
take their ship away
to a shore where nobody will see,
and let their fornication be
as crude as the awakening
of everyone who's not afraid of indulging;
I will take no part or joy
in their pleasure so openly and willingly!

Could I forget that she ever existed, or
ever loved me with trust and sweetness?
Wouldn't it be unforgivable and wrong...
to waste what was blessed by holiness?
In this era of unfaithfulness,
many choose to do harm to someone else...
thinking only of self-gratification,
breaking the vows of dedication!

O mysterious sea as deep as the love
of my changeless woman,
who contemplates every sunset and dawn
with the purity of a dove:
let no beautiful eyes deceive me,
and sadly erase the innocence of her memory!

Shine your love on me.
It's got to be the nicest thing.
You can do for me, in the morning..

Your love it shines like a golden sphere, and it's always near.
And it shines on me, in the morning..

Ballad of the Bouncing Self

At times I, like a butterfly,
May flit from bloom to bloom,
Or with my whimsy set sky-high
To outer space may zoom.
And yet, when all’s been said and done,
I follow what my fate has spun—
For some may strive and ne’er succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

A Muse impels me on a spree
Of whirling swirling craft
Where poems must not mean but be…
Until I’m going daft.
But words, albeit finely wrought,
Can only catch a passing thought—
For some may strive and ne’er succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

When my reality looks pale
I frolic in a theme
From vivid myth, folklore or tale,
Where dreams are what they seem.
And there where’er I romp and roam
I always feel a welcome home—
For some may strive and ne’er succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

I’ve often fallen to the ground
And picked myself back up.
I’ve hungered for a loving touch
And sipped from passion’s cup.
My longings, cravings ruled my will;
Still never could I drink my fill—
For some may strive and ne’er succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

A life led wrong, though full of song,
Will cause us to regret,
When pondering the winters long,
Our faults we can’t forget.
And then we’re washed in bitter tears
For senseless youth and wasted years—
As some may strive and ne’er succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

I said I want to live before
I die, in villanelle,
To learn where lies true wisdom’s door
And shun the gates to hell.
Yes, wayward ways can still begin
To seek and find the Way within—
For some may strive and not succeed,
While others simply do the deed.

this past days, I can not write..
I feel something isn't right...
They said: "I'm bright"..
I said: "midway, I'm alright"...

I am in a deep thought..
Who could have sought..
I wish a bias thinking, they brought..
Oftentimes, lurks fear and doubt..

kindling, worry and anxiety to life..
terrible at times as it cuts like knife..
still, remaining still despite the strife..
bewitched and bewildered til dust..

Nevermind, all this will soon last..
Richness and beauty gradually rusts..
thus, stay humble and tuck in that bust..
God always sees and just..

A gentle cool spring rain falls down
Saturating blossoms fair
Daffodils with lowered sweet heads
Wait without a care

Sunshine covered with clouds very gray
Raindrops cleanse the spring air
Flowers receive moisture's rebirth
Out to play children's prayer

Spring fever is in the cool air
Birds' mating calls echo
So lively are the pairs' display
Resounds in the meadow

Sunshine covered with clouds very gray
Raindrops cleanse the spring air
Flowers receive moisture's rebirth
Out to play children's prayer

Dripdrops reverberates 'pon roof
Spring fever gets one down
Let sunshine peak through the cold cloud
Rainbows appear like clowns

Sunshine covered with clouds very gray
Raindrops cleanse the spring air
Flowers receive moisture's rebirth
Out to play children's prayer

Sleepy Star Magnolia awaken
Gentle spring rain renewed
Rain 'pon my dampened window pane
Somewhat blurs scene as viewed

Sunshine covered with clouds very gray
Rain drops cleanse the spring air
Flowers receive moisture's rebirth
Out to play children's prayer

Contest: Spring Fever

Avoidable ashes

What once stood tall and green is no more,
bristled, wooden and stout to the core.
For many cycles it stood, watching left and right,
standing so tall that nothing escaped it's sight.
Too big to climb and too wide to fall,
through it's deep branches, you could hear birds call.
But on that night when screams could be heard,
erupted in flamed, the villagers were scared.
Raining ashes and flames, some wood below,
a fool with a flame now reaps what he sow.
A thing of nature and of beauty destroyed,
of shade and of fruit, the village now devoid.
Flames are destructive, rendering all to ash,
All you find beautiful will wither in a flash.
Misguided and silly was this young man today,
meddling around with embers for nothing short of play.
And the grand oak is now gone, rendered to naught but dust,
Soon to be blown away with but a short gust.
Keep that which burns far from young and foolish hands,
Ensure the avoidable flames do not consume your forests and lands.

The Summer Breeze

One thing is certain about summer
It never last forever
Be that it may sometimes be a bummer
You will always remember the weather

The ocean breaths
As you sometimes hear
Through the summer breeze
And the starry nights are clear.

Sweat and games are ever more real
With a summer breeze
It’s the coolness you feel
Which provokes a peace?

For it’s the memories you’ll steal!

Last Words of the Mariner

Lying here in this life’s final berth,
No longer escaping to the sea.
If the greatest lie of all is not birth,
Death is life’s great treachery.

I think back to the times I spent
Sifting through the briny deep,
Deeply inhaling the saliferous scent,
Pleasure enough to make one weep.

The grave awaits me, I now admit,
As mortality is seeping through.
For if eternity is not a infinite pit,
I hope it ends in the quenching blue.

You are all together desirable
and so my soul longs for you
hold me close don't let me go
I need to know your love is true

I had not thought possible
this kind of love to know
the kind that people dream of
of our origins ages ago

More beauty than hanging gardens
or the wonders of seven worlds
nor crafting by the hands of men
fallen it's heights were hurled

Like the rain in desert places
and dew in a thirsty land
desire avidly your own embrace
and be led by your own hand

Drink from the well inexhaustible
the everlasting spring of joy
whose word is rooted in virtue
which hatred would seek to destroy

A cistern in the desert deep
an oasis in parched land set
you draw the hearts of multitudes
lest the setting of love they forget

Like well watered resting places
where the fountains of the deep
saturate the flowering meadows bloom
whose treasuries our memories keep

The smell of autumn

The smell of autumn on the breeze

make's me feel so serene

Colored leaves floating down

lay a blanket of beauty on the ground

When the sun rise's up

splaying out it's radiate light

touching dew covered leave's

Red, Gold and Green

A faucet of tranquill reflection

Creating a scene to be seen

Wrapping the heart with gratefull intent

Relaxing the mind from all life's extremes

Leaving behind all the stress and bad dreams

Blocking the toxic seeping of noise

There is only me and the tree's

and the smell of autumn on the breeze

The boy scans the horizon looking into his soul
And the beauty of the waves as they roll

Sun sits just above the lowest cloud in the distance
Today there is no resistance

Breaking into a run for Neptune’s playground
The beat against his board a familiar sound

Smiling to himself for the freedom he knows here
A break he sees the next one is clear

A few strokes and he stands guiding his board
Through the enchanting spray and the roar

A dolphin joins him on the wave their fun evident
A blessing of conjoining spirits now spent

A swell surges from the kiss of the tempest wind
Enraging the boys inner sin

Take hold of the reins Neptune he shouts
Again he braces for the watery bouts

The beach clears of visitors he makes his stand
Today I am no longer boy, but man

The companion sees his courage and swims near
Drowning is his inner fear

The crest of his wave broke only to rise again
Awaking the instincts within

He swims in front of his beast and stands proud
Turning his waist smartly to ride it out

He slips under the ripcurl entering the tunnel
A roar inside hint at disgruntled

The water closes in to seal him in
A chance to break him his back to end

Not quick enough he thinks to himself
As he races back to the beach in health

Sitting in the dark,
Waiting for a spark.
Alone lost on an island,
No one, no familiar hand.
Sorrow sinking in,
Watching the storm begin.
Alone far away
For far longer than a day.

Sitting on the sand,
Observing sea and land.
Alone near the ocean,
Rain the only potion.
Gazing at the moon,
Hoping night may pass soon.
Alone in a place so far,
Home feeling as distant as a star.

Good listener, please lend your ear
To share my history
Before I take the poison drink,
I’ll tell you my story.

They’re coming even now to take
The city that we love
And hope is often lost and so
My tale i’ll tell you of.
	When Carthage took upon itself
To find by light of day
A general? Well your in luck!
Great Hannibal did say.

He planned to cross the mountains great
Twas thought the only way,
But first to cross the river Rhone,
Great Hannibal did pray

The river Rhone rose up and warned
	Don’t cross my waters grey!
No way to cross? Then all was lost
	Great Hannibal did say

	Then at once stood Hannibal
We’ll cross by th’end of day!? Take down those trees to make a raft
	Great Hannibal did say

Over the water blue they went
	Lined up in an array
And now to Rome and battle great!
	Good Hannibal did say.
Due north he found an obstacle
That willed him to give way,
The northern tribes with battle cries
	Great Hannibal did slay.

The biggest problem now was here
	Across the mountains stray
“Great danger now we face, my men,”
	Great Hannibal did say.

Across the mountains none did think
That they would last a day
Just one more hill or mountain top,
	Great Hannibal would say

The crew were weary lost and torn
That made them curse the day
“But we are almost there, you see?”
	Great Hannibal did say.

And soon enough the walls of Rome
Rose up as if to say
Who ventures here with war in mind?
Come greet us at our gates!

But in the Roman city there
	Scipio here to stay
“No one can beat us, no one can,”
	Great Hannibal did say.

At Rome’s great gates for 15 years
	He waited patiently
We can’t stay here, for food is dear,
	Great Hannibal did say.

So he turned back to Carthage’s gates
	But met along the way
	Scipio and his army great
	Hannibal could not slay

When all was done his quest was lost,
And Rome would live too great,
	A treaty signed so punishing
	That Carthage lost its gate.

	And Hannibal the general
	That lost the city too
Was forced to go to lands beyond
And help as best he could.

LIKE AN ANGEL …………………angels…they really do exist……..

Looking into your eyes,
I could see your undying love,
Your wonderful smile brimming me up in joy,
I just want to know, what makes you come back,
To fill my soul with life and joy,
You make me wonder of my soulless existence.

Like an angel, you cast your spell upon me,
Leaving me caught up in my memories.
Your faith in me makes me to carry on
To transcend over the horizon,

You placed your hand upon my empty soul,
You brought me back to life,
Making my dreams real,
Looking towards the sky, I could see your fragnant smile

Like an angel, you rid me of my perils,
You caress my soul as if I were your own,
Dressed in white, you shine your light upon me,
Helping me to wake from my soulless dream

In Walyunga

In Walyunga

There is a place I used to go
When I was fit and strong
The place it was called Walyunga
And I felt I did belong
In those hills above the river
I’d walk for countless miles
In those days, with healthy body
To walk, it was my style.

I’d walk until I found my place
Where there lived an old dead tree
I’d sit on it to meditate
And look right into me.
Some times as I walked these hills
I’d hear a sound like thunder
And then I’d see a wondrous sight
In this place called Walyunga.

A horde of Kangaroos would come
As they thundered through those hills
They’d cross the track in front of me
And I would stand stock still
Then as they passed, the biggest guy
Would stop just yards from me
To see if I did pose a danger
He was a sight to see.

He’d stand there for a tiny while
Though it seemed like eons to me
Then when he saw I meant no harm
He satisfied would be
So he’d bound off to lead his horde
To the river they’d head for
Oh, seeing such a magic sight
Would fill me with such awe.

Mother's Nature

I was the water beneath their feet, the Warm breeze that swept past them as They took their first steps to The Promise Land. I moved them forward with little persuasion, Their minds racing with the anticipation of Life being given by my gentle hand. The trees twisted before their eyes; The sounds of the past filling their souls As my warm breath filled the air. The coyote called to you, the sky blushed, The ancient faces of years gone by, Gathered, their whispers hushed. Your faces, I remember, to this day, Were filled with dread and joy, But I knew the future you had ahead; To fight, loathe and destroy.

The wind it blew with rage Its ferocity knew no end Uprooting trees and throwing them about Causing even the strongest ones to bend Yet in the midst of catastrophe A tiny seedling stood Shielded by a rock nearby That provided it a sheltering hood The rock it did its utmost best To keep the youngling free from hurt It stood this way for a few months While the seedling grew in height and girth Now along with the plant grew a wild weed Which looked fairly beautiful But underneath the false façade Lay thorns that were meant to kill It took the support of the youngling And twined around it as it grew Slowly but steadily it was killing the plant Yet so cleverly that no other plant knew But then there was one who was watching The rock it knew what to do It prayed to the heavens and the earth To help split itself into two And so the clouds sent bolts of lightning Which struck the lowly rock The earth it shook and quaked that night And centered its fury on that spot When at last the painful deed was done The rock mustered up all its strength And with tears of sand and smaller stones It heaved and shook till one half of it fell And that half fell upon the evil weed Pulling it away from the young plant As it watched the weed release the youngling The rock smiled and breathed its last With one half it had crushed the weed And kept the youngling from being killed While the other half remained standing Still shielding the plant from the wind

THEWhaling SHIP CAPTAIN's LOVER ballad dedicated my gmother's life

THE SHIP CAPTAIN’S LOVER (from my grandmother's life--her betrothed lost at sea on a whaling vessel in Norway 1890)

by Victoria Anderson-Throop

The winds blow free
And the winds blow cold
There never was a man so bold
As the man I loved who went to sea
The month he was to marry me

Times were hard
And times were tough
Winds were cold
North seas were rough

But a whaling man will fight for breath
Dare the sea , defy their death
He ordered his crew
“come follow me
Who fears to sail
Is cowardly”

“No, don’t leave me--
Please --I called”
He slapped me then
He was appalled

I had shamed him with my fear
I should have handed him his gear
And wished him well upon his way
Gone on like any other day

A woman’s place is by the shore
Nothing less and nothing more
She never begs and never cries
Unless her own beloved dies

While I waited on the shore
Fear seeped out of every pore
Days went by
And then a week
Tears were shed by brave and meek

Life was bitter, life was sour
A bell was sounded from the tower
For each beloved man
Now lost--
What a bitter
Deadly cost.

And , for me,
My life's in tatters.
Men don’t know the thing that matters--
I wish I had my man so sweet
Not my world
Thrown at my feet.

Oh darlin’ babe now in my arms
Don’t fall victim to wild charms
When the sea calls in your head
Stay at home-- die in your bed

Brilliant blossoms from a simple seed reach to those of a darker red,
Like all that shone from shadows gone, the essence of our lives;
For we are bound to the wisdom of passing years, held to a trees decline,
Until the limbs and boughs stretch high no more and all existence passes by
To allow the strength of its symmetry to end

Where shall we be when winds blow leaves of a softer shade of gray?
And the silent boughs begin to wither and slowly crack with age,
There colors are lost to years gone by, never to return…
And the natural beauty of a rustic beam is gone to times of change
Sacrificing our dying tree

Too sweetly we stare at the withered tree redeemed by a darker red,
Until forever they wait as our seasons change and memory’s pass away,
Crumbled oak from its wilted bough reaches out to a single leaf
And limbs stretched high with strength and design
Wither away and die

Perspective: Glass Lightning

Lightning creeps from 'neath the night,
or could that be a crack?--
for what I see could actually be
a break in evening's black.

Stained like windows in a church,
the night must be in pane:
a sheet comprised of sickly hues,
of ashen clouds and rain.

Someone must have dropped the night
and smashed the glass asunder,
for look!--the jagged lightnings run
and shatter into thunder!

Taking hope out of a gloomy day
is like living without a hopeful heart;
and waiting for miracles without praying
is bringing on a specter of infidelity,
which disrupts my daily living...
making me ponder faith with distrust!

Before it rains, I hope for a rainbow at five...
believing that it will there for me to admire,
not merely imagining, but envisioning its beauty;
what is hidden from the eyes shouldn't be a mystery,
and this Humankind has created myths and legends
for the ones lacking the sixth sense!

Embarking on that journey of incognito,
solely relying on this overburdensome ego,
causes me to experience inquietude
in a most unfovarable latitude;
and freedom is confined in short miles,
when my ship comes to an halt for guidance!

Before it rains, I'll see myself securing the anchor,
and step on the pier of the safest harbor...
waving at the fading rainbow over the refulgent horizon;
taking pride and remembering the grueling fright
of a captain who never displayed a doubt...
even when the storm dashed the agitated ocean!

La lumière des étoiles d'ambre-

For years I had desired to
write a thing of beauty,
yet beauty, as always, escaped me…
for beauty as I found through
experience and misery,
is merely the plaything of the beautiful:
the acrimonious agent
of their delicate deceit,
“La lumière des étoiles d'ambre…”
unattainable to all, reluctantly fey,
betrayed by our delusion
and indefinable inertia,
“La lumière des étoiles d'ambre…”

The sparrow fixed me
With a quizzical eye
I am sure it knew
All that I thought
As it hopped with glee

I lifted a finger
The sparrow jumped upon it
It chirruped to me
I understood finally
That a bird
Who gives it's heart
Will sing

Every day
That castle sparrow
Came to my window
I let it in
Let it play
I loved it so

The way to a sparrows' heart
Is to sit still
Let it come to you
Of its' own free will

A castle sparrow
Flew around the room
Lifting my spirits, so low
I thought of nothing else
Than to see a tiny bird
Filled with joyous glow

I brought little treats every day
For a castle sparrow
That I love to watch,
sing and play

It fixed me
with a quizzical eye
As if it knew
All of me
My very own sparrow
I loved it too

Dead Butterflies

After all this, what is it for?

I climbed a mountain only to face a brick wall

Drowned in my own sweat and tears

Wishing I had cried even more

I smiled when I saw

the flowers atop the trees

Only to venture nearer and see

that they were only snowfall.

Now I am torn

by the wire-like branches

by the whiplash of wind.

under carcasses of butterflies

Watching the stars fall.

After all this, what is it for?

Shadow of Memory

She walks in darkness in the light,
Rememberance the only sight
That fades
As the dawn breaks over the crest
Of the waves.

She finds rest and she finds peace
Inside the shelter of the leaves.
She finds stars that never cease
Beneath the night and endless seas.

Looks deep into the universe
And wonders at the light,
The thousand depthless, empty words
Unspoken in the night.

The moon is in her soul.
Who cares about control?
She's seen the world inside her eyes,
But she could never realize

That deep among the stars,
So deep inside the sea,
That deep inside the years' reflection,
Nothing still will be.

And time is lost and gone
As sunlight brings the dawn.
She's felt the sea beneath her eyes
Surrender tears.
She cries.

Put Your Ear to the Ground

Complexity comes in the simplest of forms-
Sounds all around us continually speak
When the spring equinox is nigh-
Children at play, screaming glee to the wind
Sliding down slides, landing with a thud.

The cry of seagulls enjoying a free dinner
Whilst beach goers forget their leftovers-
The lapping of the waves, purity abound
Draws every human like a magnet, as if
Still secure within the Mother’s womb.

Sit in a meadow of grass, listen close
There is a microcosm of sounds to adore
A snake slithering into his hole in the ground,
A cricket jumping, an ant colony busily working
The scratching of a mole, digging blindly, crunching
on insects- appetites galore!
Sweet Spring! a time when the newborn are learning
and the fertile earth renewed-
Listen closely and you can hear their progressive journey
To earn their wings and leave the nest.
A colt’s awkward run, the fledgling bird
flapping for all it is worth.
Frogs chirruping in the night, a fox
stealthily seeking it’s prey. The owl warning
of advancing predators, just so he can
greedily take the deceived rabbit as his own.
Listen close as new life begins all around
Invigorating spring abounds in sound!

In expectance

Before the growth in the fields
of inevitable verses,
before the grass falls asleep
in expectance of a violin,
before the faning chestnut-tree
fondles me with its thoughts...
Before the violets paint themselves
with a haze of a bird indifference
before i hear an impuden laugh
of an acid rain,
before the burning of the butterflies
at the stake of the spring temple...
The crocus was alone
and saffron from impatience.

As the dreary night slowly vanishes,
taking along the weary stars,
but the wakeful moon decides to stay...
I awaken with the new sunrise
admiring the glimmering sea
with colors resembling diamonds!

I breathlessly wonder
why God has created it
with a painter's hand,
and giving us that joy...
a devine joy as a reminder:
that all He has made is entirely His;
and in the same manner
we care for our bodies
with much preoccupation,
we must take care of all creation,
so that our children
can enjoy it indefinitely!

Among fields of jacandra and dandelions swaying,
I awaken with the new sunrise in sheer delight...
to face life as it was when nobody was there;
and we can imagine the thought running
through God's mind to put a human being there:
to watch and control the beautiful earth!

I awaken with the new sunrise,
to discover a small bird soaring...
going further and further up until
he has picked up the speed of an eagle;
I awaken with the new sunrise...rejoicing,
opening up my spirit to a song of praise!

If I'm still living, I owe it to my Lord,
and there aren't days I don't proclaim His word...
when I awaken with the new sunrise,
and I gladly watch the golden sun radiantly rise!

A Mariner

A mariner leaves for months at a time
With a wind in his sails and a goal in mind

He doesn’t know what lies ahead
And he eats lots of fruit with dry wheat bread

The adventure calls and ignites his soul
But Mother Nature bawls and takes her toll

Hurricanes and wind tear at his nerves
After he makes it he finally learns
The lesson taught by life itself
Your stories not finished till it’s on the shelf

The Battle Begins

Now sleep I may,
Into the night,
For the spirits and tomatoes
helped set things right.

I know I shouldn’t have,
For my meds don’t allow it,
But is too late now,
Please don’t you try it.

Was something I needed,
The pressure within,
Oh how I wish,
To start over again.

But she will not have it,
I do not fit in.
Her schedule is hectic,
No time to mend.

I call her up,
No time for me,
She says just give up,
Please leave me be.

How I hate spirits,
How do you people drink this stuff?
But I am not finished,
I haven’t had enough.

For there are things inside me,
We have to get out,
Scratches on my back,
I could live without.

So deep and hurting,
Attacking my heart,
This day has been coming,
It is not a new start.

I knew from the beginning,
That this could not be,
But always an ending,
To set you free.

Now in total darkness,
The lights are so bright,
What will become of me,
On this fateful night.

The black wolf approaches,
I can sense his fear,
He can smell my scratches,
As he comes near.

Death is our battle,
We will fight tonight,
Our hearts will rattle,
To see who is right.

Deeper and deeper,
I am going down,
His blows are a killer
So profound.

He knows where to strike,
To make the best hit,
I try with all my might,
But deeper into the pit.

A loosing battle I fight,
I wanted to win,
But this is not the night,
What a night it has been.

I have a cold and feel terrible. What did you think?

The Grey Man of Pawleys Island

The night was grey and overcast,
full moon, though, lit the dusty path,
a screened in porch was where we slept,
the beach house for two weeks we kept.

We were just kids then, twelve and nine
and both asleep and sleeping fine,
then something eerie woke us each
and froze our breath, prevented speech.

In foggy moonlight on that road
the Grey Man of Pawleys Island strode.
We watched in awe as the old man neared
then took a right and disappeared.

My brother and I, we never spoke
of the ghost we saw who moved like smoke.
Somehow we slept, the morning came
with thunder, lightning, torrential rain.

The whole front yard was flooded out;
in the yard swam crabs and trout.
As kids we thought it all great fun,
the adults were grim and silent, stunned.

The storm was fierce that summer morn,
after all, the Grey Man had come to warn.

Sitting on a smooth rock
as waves crash into it...foaming,
and splashing their salty water on me;
it is warm and soothing after burning
on dunes of sand...listening to rock,
and one of the songs caught my fancy...

The dreamer who follows the stars
is an unloved soul running from time,
searching for secrets in this Universe...
but finding only sympathy for himself;
he can see the sea-birds in flight,
and wishes more peace at every sunset!

This pen dashes all thoughts off,
to relieve this mind of unwanted clutter,
clearly seeing beyond the noiseless shore;
and like survivors of a shipwreck:
I let out a deep breath, to feel life
at its best ,and joyfully play my clarinet...

The dreamer who follows the stars
 loses their traces into space,
they go further and further and disappear from his sight;
he counted them all when they stood still and shone
above the ragged canyons of a dreary moon in silverlight,
and how can he hope for their return and not dream alone?

Fugitive darkness gives away to dazzling sun-rays,
the shrills of the gathered sea-gulls, by the beach-house,
bring me back to an existence of joyful laughs;
I am repulsively sad to have fallen into sleep,
to have missed moments that could have inspired, indeed,
another song for the dreamer who followed the stars!

Woman in Black

You asked
about the world,
 I see it...
all these years,
you don't know me
I hold my tongue,
if answered
safe but not sound...

 My eyes, the world is
 for good and evil.

Without day,
there is no night.
Without hate,
there is no love.
Without a woman,
there is no man.
 it goes on and on
while the world turns.

The world,
 makes me sad.
not proud to be an American
 the Anti-Christ for a president.
Damaged and lost.
not a big lover of mankind.
prefer to be alone,
but connection
is important
to feel alive,
love is most.

 I am a loner
People scare me.
phoniness, bitterness,
immorality, murder,
hate, and unoriginality.
savages running around
wherever I turn.
  true love?
 so caught up disgusts me.
I can't breathe.
I can't hide.
So much noise.
So much sorrow
Broken children, broken families.
Broken hearts, broken spirits.

Violins play
all day long....
weeping for the world.......
I wear black...
 how I feel.

Of course,
sees it all differently,
and many beautiful people out there

 few and far between,
 when I have the pleasure
it's powerful
having that circle of
valuing my womanhood.
I do in love.
I do in true
 the point of living
 has touched me
no words
 have been close
 He's close to me,
calling me,
wanting me
like once before.
He is real.
When I was close to Him,
He painted a picture
to uplift me.
the moon.
in awe .
the beach
on a full moon night,
in the black water with you.
And babies.
Nothing like the sight
of a baby's smile,
and the light
Fresh, pure,
and full of hope
for the world.

A phantom seeps howls cracks
these limestone walls
til fragments tremble
and the old cistern bows, finally.

Born of dust and parched labor,
drought taunts edgy mouths
dancing chants nightly
and spirits awaken, finally.

A trickle of liquid
extends over lessons marked
by seeds caressed in earth
and blossoms, finally.

Blessings charm bellies
now growing in hasty renewal
from shining streams splashing
and a phantom wanes, finally.

Until arriving restless moons once again
form nimble boughs grasping
towards the sacred wheel of life,
but they forgive the cycles, finally.

Beautiful and loveable one,
you've vanished into nothing
and left me hanging
with a question in mind:
could I ever find someone...
who's witty and kind?

I am going, like a merry-go-around,
from one lover to the other...just giving
love to anyone who's able to bring
some passion and feeling!

I'd rather go back in time today,
and relive those moments again...
the ones that can take this pain away,
to make me remember the warm rain
coming down.. when spring
gave us another song to sing!
 I am going ,like a-merry-go-around,
from one lover to the other... hoping
that on the other side someone is waiting!
I have kissed others with selfish eyes
and simply realized what was missing:
 you were unique in everything,
filled me up with joy and surprise...
making me discover another world!

My long nights are as cold
as these smooth satin sheets...
I'll find a better reason to believe
that I can close these eyes tonight and dream!
And if years don't turn into days, I'll wait...
until I have stopped going
from one lover to the other,
and wasted what you adore!

The sooner you realize my endless need,
the faster I will stop running wild and breath!

Perspective: Petalled Planets

A single daisy blooms beside
the spacious path I gaily tread.
I take a glance and strangely feel
attracted to its garnished head.

And so I dip into the grass
to better see the flower's face,
or could that be a heav'nly sphere,
and I a victim of its space?--

a petalled planet, so to speak:
for who's to say that what I see
is not in fact a floral orb
with floating fields of gravity?--

the force that forms its atmosphere,
compelling colored leaves to cling
around its soft pollinic core
to form its planetary ring.

Akin to Saturn, I would think,
if only for its outer shape,
but look!--a foreign drifter nears:
a bee, see how it gravitates

towards the levitating plant
as if it was an asteroid?
It's quite a grueling task, you see,
for any creature to avoid

the pull of such a pretty thing.
I too am bound, much like the bee,
by sight and sense of smell, for they
are too the toys of gravity.

It would appear that we approach
the flower's face because it's fair,
but no!--that's surely not the case;
we move because our sight's ensnared:

the very spheres we use to see
are commandeered by gravity,
and made to move as if they were
some paltry piles of space debris.

The nose, a satellite that tracks
the signals of a scented source,
is not intrigued by fragrant waves,
but solely by the flower's force!

Suppose this captivating bloom
is all I think it seems to be:
then that would mean that space is green,
and gardens nurture galaxies.

Musings Of The soul

Why will you kill?
Why will you fall in love?
What makes money so powerful?
What is it between a beautiful woman and a guy?
Success, failure and experience
Ponder over these
Who wants to be lazy?
Who wants to be poor?
Why didn’t God just kill satan for us
What makes habits so powerful?
Who really wants to die?
Why do we cry when we mourn and fall in love?
If only we knew all things
If only there was no spirit and physical
Ponder over these but don’t loose sleep.

The Four Suitors

The first was handsome and direct,
and try he did to please--
with bright bouquets of fragrant gems,
in hopes my heart to seize.

I gathered from his grand approach
that beauty was his charm,
to bloom a bond through gorgeous gifts;
in that, I found no harm.

Alas, his blossoms were corrupt;
my love he never took!
What mattered most to him was how
my presence made him look.

I promptly left his vanity
to seek a love refined,
and highly hoped the next to claim
my hand would better shine.

The second suitor came to me
and promised me his heart,
and with that gesture he assured
that we would never part.

His heart enkindled love in me
and fervent was that fire.
He showered me with earnest heat,
for that was my desire.

Alas, his love grew sweltering;
too much was his embrace!
His rays were most enjoyable,
but left me little space.

I fled from his tenacity
to seek a milder mate,
though quickly did the next arrive
and fall for my estate!

The third was gracious and composed,
so like the first, I thought.
I wondered what concerned him: did
he seek the love I sought?

He greeted me and then revealed
with haste a hazel dress.
I donned the warmly colored gown;
his love he then confessed.

Alas, three months is all it took
for me to hate his leaves!--
those times he swayed into the dusk
to secret love receive.

One night, he stripped me of my gown;
our love diffusely fell.
He left me bare with but despair
to chill my hollow shell.

There came another, clothed in white,
while I was still remote.
He asked if he could comfort me,
then cloaked me with his coat.

Though beautiful, it gave no warmth,
for he himself was cold.
I wondered if he once endured
a love's uncertain hold.

I tightly held his frigid form
and spoke with words sincere:
Our love will one day find a match;
for now, please persevere.

I gently shed his frosty coat
from my rekindled core,
then boldly sauntered towards the first
with hopeful buds restored.

Treasure like the moon, so close i can see it, yet so far from my reach.

Treasures like you, always there close for reach maybe too close for my notice.

What treasures i have found, such treasures i will selfishly keep.

For i bared the lands of men, scraping for that one particular treasure,

that all life is worth & without it, purpose in life we cannot fathom.

Beautiful treasures truely i found yonder, of exquisite workmanship.

All finely cut from various pracious stones of vibrant hues.

Through time the treasures proved perishable and worthless,

they left me holding the wind in my bosom, as afore i had got them.

All despair and pain praising all life worthless.

All out and afar to yonder space, i gave chase to the winds

'till i was winded and outdone & in my firm grasp i unfurl the wind and

my gaze (bour) upon it, as pracious time wasted.

Then i met you, treasure like the moon, your voice called & i answered,

and right there i beheld your presence.

Your voice unfurling treasure, your eyes exuding love.

Then i caught hold of a nugget and now the winds i've chased made sense, i've longed & found

a nugget that fits me well................

Idyll of Daybreak Lake

Dreaming of idyllic forms
Puzzle pieces mold as one
Imaginary lines unrooted
Petty pebbles sink in twilight
Then suddenly I’m awake
Laying here at daybreak lake.

Early enough to see the dew
Abreast my cold feet wading
I watch ripples promptly cease
As new ones dawn the trip
A cycle our lives can relate
Halcyonic touch of daybreak lake.

Morning glory’s violets bloom
Across the rivers foothill edging
Streams aroma guides my pining
To faded footprints of my youth
Where aspen branches quake
Sunny haze at daybreak lake.

Minds heavy winds thudding
Worldly pebbles wash ashore
Submerging pleasant dreams
That wake ideals from slumber
While my heart's eye aches
Reflecting late at daybreak lake.

Winter Morn

Crisp white leaves lay upon the ground
snow falls heavy it doesn't make a sound
Christmas trees laid upon a fetch
and candles burn brightly
stay warm in the winter morn
sit with you're loved ones and toast to
a new year
a new year of fears, hopes, and dreams
shivering in the bitter cold
dreaming of the days when we weren't so old
winter morn will return
until it does the summer will burn.

Old Brass City
with massive gothic chuches,
abandoned rail-roads
and run-down factories...
we still glimpse into that bygone glory
which made your name so famous!

O Waterbury, no Christmas
can be compared to yours,
when Main Street glitters under the fluffy snow
and everyone hummers a carol!
O Waterbury, those starry nights
are too surreal and make lovers fantasize!

Old Brass City,in ninenteen-forty-two
lads and gals were sent to war to fight the Cruel,
and mothers cried as their sons and daughters
left this once-happy-town of friendly and kind folks!
And despite all the sorrow and pain yet to be,
they proudly marched off to defeat the enemy!

O Waterbury, your monuments inspire hope,
and remind all of your past glory and leadership;
and the brave soldiers who sacrificed all...
became those heroes we've engraved into the soul!
Some returned, many died to seal their fate,
and their courage and valour put an end to all hate!

The Land of the Golden Sands

Sounds to me, that you see
Whats beyond, and whats to be
Why don't you take my hand
and show me the land,
of the golden sands.
Where the minds flee,
and the hearts meet.
Where the sun sets into the ocean slow,
and comes out at dark with a shiny blue glow.
The beaches are made of golden sands,
and they are as long as you could ever glance.
A calm soothing tune plays from the depth of the jungle,
and people do nothing all day but make love and dandle.
oh take me there please, I have no where to go
oh take me there please, I have no where left to go
There is no hope there, there is no despair
Only joy and love, fill the air

The lovely thought of being remembered...
rarely crosses the unperceptive mind
of the uncaring ones who live life all for themselves,
and one day soon...all that will change;
on their last, expiring breath...
they cannot call on anyone who's not standing by!
How I like to be remembered...
is to think of me as simple and wise,
loving as true as anyone else; no regret
for having been helpful and kind!
And this name will be honored and read out aloud
by a generation that never knew me at all,
and it's the legacy of an undying spirit:
still challenging and vibrant!

Many great men and women have come before me,
and I don't call myself the greatest...most certaintly;
this decision is left to the lovers of literature;
all they will see is my distinguished signature
on the bottom of each poem and song...
how wonderful it would be to hear them recite and sing along!

On my a country not of my own, flowers
will bob upon my gleaming grass,
and undearneath the cold soil I will rest;
and my body will become a skeleton without flesh;
it's everyone's destiny to turn into dust,
until we are resurrected by that Almighty voice!

Like the very fragile petals of a rose,so perfumed,
that will scatter before the flight of the gull;
I'd like to float as brightly as these after dawn:
to be elevated by my spirituality
and reach that place of profound serenity,
thinking how I like to be remembered...

The turbid clouds hover mountains
of fluttering maples,spruces and pines
while I am crossing those bridges of wonder,
adjoined by sturdy steel cables
that even an impetuous wind couldn't oscillate;
man's ingenuity outwitting Mother Nature...
a tuneful voice rising from a spirit that perpetuates!

Rageful rivers resent their lament,
as fast currents struggle to find an inlet;
my hard breath surrenders
to an unchallenged fear!
From above danger is like the force of gravity,
I race with a brave face, but the harsh wind
still whips it with the strength of a twister,
blowing the pristine white sand...
turning it into a whirling dust cloud
only to diminish my visibility!

Let me cross those bridges of wonder,
in spite of lightning and thunder...
I'll brave the fiercest storm,
as long as courage allows me to proceed;
night may come as quickly as frightening thoughts,
but nothing would make my will recede
to a darkness that suppresses the freedom of choice!

When warriors are faced by a threat,
they don't turn back and accept defeat,
no doubt can thwart their plan:
it's either death or glory,
unsurmountable pain or joy;
their ego is hardly broken through dire!
Ah! See them crossing those bridges of wander,
and like me, they rejoice when the battle ends!

And So It All Began

When GOD created the Heavens and the Earth,
The Earth was without form and void-
And thus they did declare His glory in the Heavens and throughout the Universe-

The birds did sing.

The grass did grow.

The herbs, the plants, the trees, the beasts of the field and all the waters,
beneath, below.

The sun, the moon, the stars, the planets and all the elements,
They all "sprang" forth at God's own Word and it was good, a glorious divine
And so it all began.

As things went on and time progressed;
Then man, made in God's own image, came on the Scene-
The Love and Power of God's Creation: His "greatest" work personified.

All things beautiful and good.

His "awesome" work- an end to a wondrous prelude of life-

And so it all began!

This Fair Queen

Rides in soft golden light

Only at twilight, to be seen

Golden hair catches the sun

This Fair Queen on the run

With rippling emerald shawl,

This Fair Queen rides in golden glow.

Only the faithful know it so

For, the faithful know it all

This Fair Queen loves her folk,

Her smile, like the sun

Intoxicating fun,

The Fair Queen can invoke

This emerald green

Disappears in to the night.

Not to be seen,

Golden hair,

Golden delight,

Rides far in to twilight.

This Fair Queen,

Bejewelled in green

Golden hair,

The like, never seen

This ethereal Queen

In gold and green

Seen by the few

Those who believe it true

This magical time

Betwixt day and night

The clock does chime

This fair queen

Must ride with all her might.

To go after sundown

This Fair Queen

Will lose her crown,

Will never be seen

For the Kingdom of Twilight

The Fair Queen rules all

Bejewelled in green

Golden hair ,so bright

The dying of golden sun

Her work is done

This Fair Queen will disappear

At the dipping of the sun

Bejewelled in green

Only to be seen

On a snow white horse, on the run

When the clock does chime,

At twilight time

Golden whisper at dusk,

Fleeting flash of emerald green

Scent of honeysuckle musk

This golden Queen

Can only be seen,

By the faithful few

Who know it is true

This soft chuckle of delight,

Heard only at twilight

Tis my Queen

That can only be seen

In soft golden light

It's after midnight,and I walk unhurriedly
on a well-lit road flanked by orchids;
a casual squirrel crosses fearfully
as I listen to the soft sounds of crickets,
turning repeatedly to both sides
so curious to know where they hide...

The early spring sings to the moon,
a spotted face looking solemnly happy
while the friendly stars smile on:
to hear the whispers they exchange sweetly;
and before the nightgales retrieve at dawn
in rosy tree tops, they'll be gone...

I spot patches of dark blue,
like the lake below,peaking through
the huge branches of oaks and pine trees;
the soft moon's gleams paint them in silver,
and how lovely they seem in that glimmer,
enough to give them the sembiance of a magical forest
within a sweltering city in need of a cool breeze,
capable of bringing relief from the hazy mist...

The early springs sings to the moon,
the merry notes float on the scented breeze
to reach a distance I cannot achieve;
my contemplation will end soon...

I go past the yellow and purple daffodils;
are they ever tired of standing on their stems,
of giving their pollen to the eager butterflies?
What a joy and beauty they'll take away from us!

The early spring sings to the new moon,
I am a vagrant in this nature's wondrous spectacle;
like life going through short days: bright or dull,
I passing through to live and die soon...

In Richness Long Enduring

I do remember quietly,
In retrospective thought,
An innocence come eagerly
Where happiness is wrought.

And I unto my heart do speak
Each tender word in awe,
Of times when strong, of times when weak
In times of springtime thaw.

Each season vast and plentiful
With beauty long securing
Nature's pride so bountiful
In richness long enduring.

Spring Time

I love the spring and what it brings
when the warm sunshine brings the
flowers scampering through the ground
in such beautiful colors it can take your breath away

And watching the trees bursting forth with
their leaves in a million different shapes
and the grass comes out to feel the warm sun
of the first days of spring

And the rain softly touching each rose petal
and every blade of grass with such tender love
that they lift their smiling faces in harmony
and silently say

Thank you heavenly Father for letting us be
a part of your beautiful creation

Low Man Is Due

A low man is due...
My eyes seek reality,
My fingers feel for faith.
Touch clean with a dirty hand,
I touch the clean to the waste.
I fall cause I let go,
The net below has rot away.
And I cry to the alleyway,
Confess all to the rain.
But I lie straight to the mirror,
The one I've broken to match my face.
The fire is so warm,
But nowhere safe from the storm.
And I can't bear to see,
What I've let me be.
So wicked and worn.
So as I write to you,
Of what is done and to do.
Maybe you'll understand,
I won't cry for this man.
Cause low man is due.
So low the sky is all I see,
All I want from you is forgive me.
My eyes seek reality,
And my fingers seek my veins.
There's a dog at your back step,
He must come in from the rain.
But you bring that poor dog in from the rain,
Though he just wants right back out again.
So my fingers feel for faith,
And my eyes seek reality.
So as I write to you,
Of what is done and to do.
Maybe you'll understand,
I won't cry for this man.
Cause low man is due.

Mother Nature's Son

in the midst of forlorn spirits
i seek refuge
goddess of weightless night
do you hear or see?
or do i shout in vain?

a trickle for the nihilists
an ocean for the optimists
your promises of equality
empty promises and nothing more
but i won't have it this way
don't you see?
my heart is sullen, sewn shut
your black blood will not seep within
yet here i stand
beneath your branches
upon your fallen leaves
winter has come and gone
but your buds show no visible signs of rebirth

the brazen skies forsake this blade
but i will hold it steady to the roots
if you will not fight with me
then i shall fight against you

...long ago i wasn't much like this
a father, a mother, a childhood
but the thickness of the flame
engulfed us, not myself alone
everything i've cherished
a teenhood so unscorned
and an education so learned
a wife and child and home
all of my own
but the thickness of the flame
engulfed them, and it engulfed my birthrite
my very meaning towards life

so what shall i do?
watch as you too are whittled away
like so many villages i've razed
speak to me! tell me that which i must know!
and forgive me for what i've done
and what i may do...

...i'm a fool
i will remove my blade and wait
i cannot force this
like they forced me
so i will sit with no anger nor vengeance
clouding my intentions
i will sit here and wait
within the womb of your trunk
even if i am to turn to stone
and erode to dust

i will wait for your whispers on the wind
to touch my lips and ease my mind to sleep

The Great Lighthouse by the Bay

In all my modest travels abroad,
believe me when I say
’tween the tigris and euphrates I’ve trod,
and seen a Great Lighthouse by the Bay;’

A magnificent construct, endlessly tall,
seemingly to the heavens it rose,
but no light shown in its depths at all.
An empty tower starting to decompose;

At one time a gold behemoth,
but now only vines cover its brick.
Stretching to it’s zenith,
almost with a quality of magic.

An odd design aswell,
no doors or windows on the exterior.
It wasn’t marked on the map pell,
and near lay ruins of those inferior;

The origin was of an unidentifiable race.
With queries in my mind,
we began looking for a trace
of any near mankind;

Deep in the mush,
we found a sort of makeshift native local.
Stepping out of the brush,
we questioned a local;

We were directed to the priest,
upon entering the makeshift temple,
scared eyes darted at us, and released,
he began after apologizing for his whimple;
’Our people have not seen the light for many ages,
but the stories of our ancestors show,
in the distant times of great sages,
that building emitted a saving glow;

My clan had a historic tradition,
rewarding those whose life was pure.
With a testing expedition,
leaving fate to decide for sure;

The prize-a secret spot where lay ancient groves
only believed in tale.
Where gold comes abundantly in huge troves,
and massive feasts that never go stale;

Life’s final test for those who bravely seek,
sailing down a vicious line of coast.
Jagged Rock and decaying trees of bleak,
with all the beasts that dark place can host;

But then one day the structure had appeared,
spreading light o’er the masses.
Allowing those navigators to steer clear
any Rocks or trespasses;

A gleaming gilded monument.
With no operators in sight,
or master crafters that could have beat,
its ornate workings to such a height;

Upon first sight,
the people knew the garden was now free.
By trusting the light,
they could cross safely;

Word of its mysterious walls,
was received by distant kin.
Bread was broke in our hallowed halls.
It united us then;

Over time, those from the city came.
Those slave, peasant, senator and king,
all to rid themselves of mans common shame.
Bringing gold, frankensense, mer and songs to sing;

Our people now thrived,
we quickly became a center of trade.
But most did not predict, what in the shadows writhed.
At our souls it rudely bade;

(Cont'd in part 2)

I never said goodbye....
I reached the top
Looked down
Saw a midnight sky
In the Valley of Stars

I pulled my hand away
A trail of stars
Came too
Such liquidity
In the Valley
In me
Everything I had
Kept at bay

Seeing comets fly
Looking down
I saw a midnight sky
In a Valley of Stars
I reached down deep
and asked why

The stars that I see
Were you
Were me
In a Valley
Of midnight blue

The Valley of Stars
The welling
Of thoughts
Of stars
Of me
Looking down
Feeling you

When Spring turned in to a Summers day
The Summer Queen returned to play

High summer...........
The warm days......
Wind sighs.........
Blue butterflies..........

The King of Water ,happy to see
The Summer Queen
For, the water blue...............
Loves the deepest green

How the trees and flowers grew
The wand of the Summer Queen ,
touching all
How beautiful the holly bushes.......
By the Great Hall
The birds and butterflies flew

Through the Whispering Trees
The sound of the lark..............
Floated on the breeze

High summer........
Sunny days
The joy of life,
continues to amaze
Castle Heartstone...........
amidst golden haze

The King of water and his Queen...........
Renewed their love in the Great Hall
The Heartstone looked on..............
How the sun shone!

The Tapestries knew..........
The love so true........
The colours showed.........
the West wall glass, glowed

The Castle grounds........
Filled with colour and sound
The summers' symphony
The birdsong all around

But alas!
Summer cannot last..............
For, on the horizon
Autumn leaves cast,
thus begins the circle again

The Little Wave

Once the North wind made love with the sea

and a tiny little wave soon came to be

Father Wind would guide him as he grew

His Mother was the sea he traveled through

and as they brought him closer to the shore

each day he would grow a little more

and safe within the arms of Mother Sea

He imagined just how big he'd grow to be

The handsome foam that formed upon his crest

was among his mothers gifts that he loved best

and the harder that his Father Wind would blow

the larger and the stronger he would grow

One day a fearsome sound came to his ear

an awful sound that filled his heart with fear

he feared something he couldn't understand

when he saw the other waves crash on the sand

He wept as he drew closer to the shore

for it seemed to him he soon would be no more

He cried and cried, "Alas! Oh woe is me."

with mortal fear of what was soon to be

When his Father and his Mother heard him cry

they told their weeping wave,, "You will not die."

"There is a gift you must deliver to the sand

then simply return to our love where you began

You'll sleep a while with Mother Sea, and then

Father Wind will guide you once again

Little Cosmic Serenade

My little silver shooting star,
such energy you do possess:
A chilling, silky elegance,
from you, I would expect no less.

You twirl about me gracefully,
illuming, as I lay you down.
The planets play a raggish tune
while diamonds jive about your gown.

My little white marionette,
oh are you meant to play that part?
For there is not a single string
confining your resplendent heart.

You stagger-step so perfectly
into my orbital domain.
The Taurus comes to break our bond,
but quickly you restore the chain.

~That said, the Sun began to set,
				 awaiting mother Moon’s reply.~

								My little flaming center piece,
so gentle is your citric light.
								Your seared momentum shepherds me
to compass you throughout the night.

You never falter, though the dance
								has rhythms far from uniform.
You brave the floor so passionately
with feet as skilled as you are warm.

								My little spheric candlelight,
how is it that you grant me peace?
Perhaps it is your steady hand:
O may this feeling never cease!

								You bend your knees as I bend mine;
								such mimicry deserves great praise.
You are my other shining half
who lifts me up on golden rays.

~Together now, the two hold hands,
				 enveloped by each others glow.~

Our little black tranquility,
an endless plane for countless steps:
it’s here our joy first learned to dance,
a feeling we have always kept.

								We set the shadow-sky ablaze
with symphonies of lows and highs.
Into the night, we scatter dust,
								the twinkling-tango fireflies.

Our little distant chandelier,
a stellar lantern burning bright,
compelling and immensely grand,
we sway beneath its blessed light.

For us, there is no solo act:
our sep’rate ways we’ve never gone.
How could we ever not perform
the pas de deux of dusk and dawn?

				~Eternally, the pair will last,
for night and day must always be.~

				   A little cosmic serenade,
the melody of time well spent.
				   Celestial bodies resonate
				   to compositions heaven-sent.

Burden In My Hand

I was coming down the mountain,
Run away children.
Everybody has their own opinion.
Holding it back hurt so bad,
Jumping out of my flesh and I said...

Follow me into the desert as thirsty as you are,
There's no station to fill the tank so do not drive your car.
Cause down below the truth is lying beneath the river bed,
So just close your eyes and bow your head.
Pain is suffering the torment of blood He shed,
Fall to your knees and drink the water that flows under her head.
I lost myself below the tree,
Would you cry for me.
I left everything deep within the sand,
Its just a burden in my hand.

Let Loose Her Frozen Fireworks

Let loose her frozen fireworks that burst with setting sun!
Let roar her spatial orchestra, for night has just begun!
Stare deep into her multitude of cosmic candle-lights!
Come forth and bask in radiance from distant fire-kites!

The stagnant stars are ornaments
and the moon a chandelier.
With gown comprised of violet ice,
she parades through twilight clear.

Let fall her blazing pixie pods that flash with vibrancy!
Let turn her clouds of diamond dust for all the world to see!
Cast out thy pain and all thy woe into her tranquil being!
Fly free, for dreams cannot resist a pattern so serene!

Below, the sea admires her,
mimicking through liquid glass.
At night, its sky complexion warps
to a guise that cannot last.

Let flow her twisting tapestries that paint with heaven-hues!
Let shine her preconfigured pearls, for stars emerge on cue!
Hold dear the ocean that she weaves from blue nocturnal streams!
Reach out and grab her sparkling hand, a slew of azure beams!

So grand is her emphatic gaze;
evermore that cast shall be.
So beautiful the frozen stars...
Oh let loose, let loose her majesty!

A beautiful sun...
A painting made for me
If colours were words...
They would soar like birds
In a sky made for me
The heart knows
The colours I see
For, I feel them
In a painting made for me
A sunset
The colour of honey
Washed away
Tumbling clouds
In a painting made for me
In a sky made for me
I saw
What I felt
In a heart made for me
A beautiful dying sun
A painting for me
Tumbling clouds
Soaring birds
On a silver sea

The Great Lighthouse by the Bay part 2

(begins with part 1)

Though some say the tribal council foresaw the next event.
The disappearance of all the seers,
and as they went,
the people looked up with fear;

Finally the last one had gone,
along with the illumination of our paths.
And so, as we waited for the fires to once more dawn,
we again silently suffered from the coastal Rocks’ wrath;

But when word spread that gilded beacon lit no more,
greed overtook our brothers, as they decided on a change of plans.
They attacked us and razed our sacred lore,
building lighthouse others, these, of human hands;

Only, as mighty as it would be made,
however tall the tower,
no matter how many bricks would be laid,
it was no suitable substitute in power;

Frustrated, they then tried to rationalize and disprove the old towers greatness.
And upon hearing our moral gems, they would mock.
Calculating through their path without a real reasonable guess.
Their arrogance sunk them, as they became Rock;

And as friendly nations turned against us in a collective,
we felt the cold hand of civil unrest.
Our enemies took our people captive,
as our people did also oppress;

Many people made their own sect,
and blood was spilled by these cults.
Monuments to themselves, the leaders erect.
As foot soldiers are swept up in tumult;

Our tribe finally splintered,
and to this day the sects still track us as prey.
We are some of the last fundamentalists yet to be conquered,
which I am thankful for everytime I pray;’
He then tensed and pierced me with heavy eyes.

I’ve seen many of my friends hunted down,
and yet I’ve never picked up a soldiers armor.
The only clothes I wear are a priests’ gown
and ritual vestments while at the altar.

Life has indeed given me the chance to make riches,
I thank the opportunity, but always decline.
I think I’ve found where my niche is,
every Sunday, preaching divine.

I could have been wild,
in my younger days.
But perhaps its good and mild,
that can see through the haze.

But everytime I see that golden spire,
I ignite inside with holy fire.

As If She Was A Cherry Tree

She wakens with the rising sun,
emerging from night's sable net,
her body--cold and naked from
the silence of its silhouette.

Though barren from a wintry sleep,
the dawn recruits her once again,
restoring her cherubic bark
to sate the restless hearts of men.

Her garden keepers, like a breeze,
deluge throughout her limber being,
embellishing her slender trunk
with trimmings suited for a queen.

They dress her down in garnished silk,
for men desiderate appeal
and flock behind beginning buds
in hopes their blossoms will reveal.

They veil her countenance with snow
to imitate the charming moon,
so that her lustful audience
will drift away in carnal swoon.

She exits from her private grove
to radiate her temporal cure;
her lips are laced with cherry and
possess a saccharine allure.

She lilts about on lifted roots,
exuding floral elegance,
and every room she slips into
is subjugated by her scents.

Her older sister starts to pluck
a melody on flavored strings.
Away--the rosy sapling flies,
performing as the trio sings!

Her limbs display like graceful wind;
her petals sweep the lustrous floor;
her gaze, like vernal fire, burns
into the eyes she dances for!

The night returns to claim her bloom;
so quickly does she flee from me,
to leave but soil in her stead--
as if she was a cherry tree.

Spending an early morning by the iridescent bay,
body delighted by a whipping breeze:
it's humid and hazy under swollen clouds
that foretell an up-coming storm;
on both side of the parkway
cars speed by, and drivers
have no clue that a traffic cop
is scanning it on the radar!
Some may not go far:
there, the flashing lights of the siren;
I am glad that I obey that law,
while some offenders smirk at a fine!

As the wailing wind progresses on,
so does the intensity of the muggy air;
it supposed to be a festy, sunny day
to unwind and enjoy some sun,
but does Nature think that nasty weather is fair
or is it spiteful, unyielding and tricky?

On a rough checker's table made of oak,
I'm writing my observations
as beach-goers seem to have deserted it;
on a normal day it echoes of music,
of voices so loud and deep!
Now, hungry pigeons and seagulls
feast on wiggling fish,
unmarred by my presence...
that can provoke my appetite,
thinking of a tasteful dish!

Tired of walking the long stretch of beach,
I take off my tinted sunglasses
smudged by dripping sweat;
I'm burning like a lizard in need of relief...
my sunscreen has worn off!
Few more steps, the car door opens:
clothes neatly folded on the back seat,
raindrops hit the windshield as I pick up speed!

The Divine

We built ourselves a universe We were the first cause The unmoved mover The grand architect We watched the people from a far As they dwelled in our world They always wonders "why" and "who am I" An answer we did not give Who are the mortal to know About the divine So they made their own Gods and prophets All right; and all are wrong Some stood the test of time But some just couldn't rhyme So they diminished thier delusions in time They fight and deny all other beliefs Why? It makes no sense to us Why all the big fuss? Cant they all be right? And all wrong? Why do they start discord When they worship the ones of concord Now, it is us the first cause The unmoved mover The grand architect Who are meant to ask "why" and "who are we" When all they do is fight more Far from the true truth

The ships travelled,
under golden sun

The cloud came in to view
The island emerged
Deep green under a mantle of white
Instinctively they knew..
That this was right

Nearing the shore,
they could hear the sound of birds
See the colours too
Flocks of macaw

The ships anchored in the bay
The Faeries flew,
through trees and woods
Exploring too

Harvest Fantasy

Harvest Fantasy
The Day is dark
Rainy...and all so whet!
But with her
Life is illuminating
And warm

As we frolic in the rain
With all the passion and vigor
That our hearts can generate
Our arms wraped around each other
With a tender embrace

The rain has ceased
The sun has risen
All the colors of the rainbow
Are upon us
As we lay in a mountain
Of colorful fall leaves

I look at her I know she is joyful
Because of the smile in her eyes
And the glow upon her face

The Kings ,met
For a home to call
Must be built,
before nightfall

The King of Earth
with the King of Flame,
set to work
For the journey was long
For a home to be built
In the mountain
In which they did belong

The Faeries flew on ahead
Through forests
Over streams
Rising higher
Onwards they sped

You do not choose a mountain
A mountain, chooses you
So it was...
As the faeries found
The mountain...
Gave its' ground

Heartstone Eagles,
called with glee
Circling high
The air, so sweet
From a mountain,
that gave so willingly, you see

The Earthen King shaped the rock,
in to halls, rooms and stairs
Turrets and spires
Creating something new
The castle...
Grew and grew

The King of Flame,
touched the stones
Changing the colour
Drawing out the precious metal
Locked within
Mountain rock now gleamed

A shimmering jewel
Amongst the deep green forests
From a mountain
That gave everything

A secret path was made
From the golden sand
Up through forest glade
To a castle, so grand

The Princess of Magic
Cast a spell
To hide the secret path
Only to be revealed to those who uttered the words..
The Wise Ways

The ships were unloaded
The treasures taken up
Such precious things,
once under spell, lock and key
Could now be displayed for all to see

Wooden ships, empty and forlorn
Lay quietly in the bay
The island hidden from all
The ships were released , to roam
An ocean, so blue
This was their new home

The Earthen King,
had the strength of two castles
One cannot fight the Wraiths,
build so much
For inside,
something was breaking

The King learned of his mortality
and knew not why
As nature changes...
Some things wither...
Some things die...

For, during the fight for the Heartstone
On the battlements
The King was wounded deep
During the dark days,
he kept this secret
For, there was much to keep

A Kings' strength cannot last forever
A King who built castles of stone
During his final days,
had the comfort of his Queen
and the Heartstone

The joy of Heartstone,
tempered with the news instead
Of a king,
who lay dying in his bed

The Faeries gathered round..
For, the time is near
For, the King, they held dear
The Summer Queen at his side
With one peaceful sigh,
he closed his eyes
and died

This is the nature of everything
You cannot mourn,
what you haven't lost
The Summer Queen and the Faeries
Knew this
For deaths' sting,
did not leave them forlorn

The Passing of a King
A great King
Whose memories belong on the Magic Tapestry
A King who built beautiful castles
With the strength of two

There were no tears
Only sweet gentle rain
The rustle of leaves,
from the Whispering Trees
A refrain

The Summer Queen,
kept one leaf from his cloak
She kissed it gently and softly blew
A west wind carried it through
to the Whispering Trees

The Trees took the King
Made him part of everything
The passing of the King, you see
Natures' reason,
as is the changing season

There were these dreams we dreamt and so many stars wished upon.
In the time our lives were happy and life meant everything.
When you, my sweet love, woke beside me each and every dawn!
Ah, when all was right with the world and the grass smelled like spring.

For there was this life we lived we thought would always live on.
Still we knew what death was--and how it could touch everything.
But my own never thought yours could die...until it was gone!
And until nothing was left...but the grass that smelled like spring.

Now the stars are wistless orbs...but I must continue on.
Through the haze of pointless days that has buried everything.
For there is this place I must visit...each and every dawn!
Where you sleep, my sweet love, and the grass always smells like spring.

Beneath Heaven's Helix

~ Oh tender Heaven's Helix, ~

I wait for you on hilltop high!
The morning bulb has just awoke.
How shall you grace today's blue sky?

				The wind comes rushing fervently
and marks the air with whistling rings.
				It brings forth waltzing butterflies
				with bright prismatic paper wings.

								They whirl about impulsively,
								not knowing that they've formed a line;
and skipping in a blind parade,
								they twist about transparent spine.

				~ Oh regal Heaven's Helix, ~

I wait for you by lakeside low!
The flaming star has dimmed its light.
What is it now that you will show?

The sky is filled with citric shades
and paints the pool an orange hue.
The pallid plane invites black wings
to dance along a massless screw.

The pattern of these tainted doves
appears to be a braided bow.
These ravens twirl with drunken glee,
				reflecting in the glass below.

								~ Oh joyous Heaven's Helix, ~

I wait for you in pasture pure!
The candle has been blown away
								to aid your luminescent cure.

				A pacifying zephyr lilts
and from its breath come playful sprites.
				A gathering of fireflies
				encompass me with ivory lights.

They flicker all throughout the night
and cast on me their midnight-spell.
They wildly spin on magic wings,
just like a moonlit carousel.

				~ Oh sacred Heaven's Helix, ~

I ask of you to bless this day,
and carry those who choose to stay...
				beneath your fluttering spiral.

Go to the Ant

Go to the ant and learn (2x's)
Go to the ant, ant, ant
Go to the ant and learn- (Chorus)

She digs her house down deep
She builds her house up high
And though she has no king
Her armies stay alive

In the summer she will reap
For the coming winter sky
She gathers everything
Her colonies survive

Consider all her ways
She's small but she expects
Her people stay as one
And she is strong and wise

So number all your days
Prepare for what comes next
And til everything is done
Let no sleep tempt your eyes

Go to the ant, ant, ant (3x's)
Go to the ant

When the Mournful Sky Cries White Rain

When the world succumbs to the kiss of cold and a numbing gale is a breath away, on her knees she weeps; for the truth be told, there will be soft light on the hills today. Cool clouds begin to form her crown. Wool winds careen with sovereignty. Small specks of ivory dive down, whilst little shining gems fall free. In a blur, the sun disappears from sight and vanilla-wisps soar in wintry slews; like the stippled sheet of a moonlit night, they will blanket all of the floating blue. Blind blight to those who trek through hail; dove-down has never been so fierce. Enveloped in an iced jewel jail, the frigid shards of North Pole pierce. To the grave the blooms and the saplings go; they retreat with haste from the chilling sleet. And the terra scorns at the silent snow, for she knows his work isn't yet complete. Frost fire falls from a heart in pain... when the mournful sky cries white rain.

A childhood lived apart
from the usual existence,
made innocence more intense;
watching raindrops
from unclosed windows...
while welcoming a shivering skylark!

A moon adorned with dreams
gleamed over shadowy hills,
taking me to their forbidden realm;
and as my little arm stretched out
to reach it...the further it seemed
to move deeply into space,
arousing my curiousity
and making me aware of infinity,
of which I measured no distance...
to avoid controversy and doubt!

An entire adulhood being
the jack-of-all-trades, never having
enough time to stop and stare
at a moon adorned with dreams,
whose smile was as alluring as its glare...
with the intention to deceive!

A moon adorned with dreams
arouses my old emotions...
drawing me to its extraordinary charms;
somehow relieving my unspoken grief,
which is as irresolute as of my belief!
Its face so dotted and pale
shouldn't be so plausible,
or nevertheless graceful,
but it constantly changes like me...
to find its destined place in eternity!

Grand Kaleidoscope

The world's a grand kaleidoscope comprised of shuffled scenery. It shares its everlasting grace as we walk amongst its majesty. Green geysers sprout from earthen springs with herbal shards as ornaments. The blossoms of the world parade to the joy of floral increments. Somewhere wet winds from sunken skies are lapping at the copper shores, while boiling citric blood erupts from the depths of tawny mountain cores. Small sugar stars come shooting down from ivory puffs like joyous tears, and raging river rapids roar at the royal sky so crystal clear. A veil of sable feathers whisks across the evening's coral lake; the sparkling sprites of moonlit night promenade throughout its dusky wake. The choral cries of quadrupeds resound from caves and forests deep, while busy pinion-folk take wing to their nests where helpless hatchlings sleep. A searing guild of golden tongues cascades from mouths of ashen gales, and passive clouds of floating dew skim along the rugs of vernal vales. A school of silver shadows dance beneath cerulean sheets of glass, while frail auroral arthropods play amongst the rows of emerald grass. Somewhere a frozen pyramid is rising from a powdered sea, while bright prismatic tapestries serenade the heavens' purity. The world's a grand kaleidoscope, revolving, free from mortal strife. Can not we learn to cherish it, as we turn its fragile shades of life?

Joshua's Sunrise

Joshua’s Sunrise

Creeping gold from rock to sky
dawn cuts a cloak dark
wishes uttered unto the breeze
the journey to embark.

Rolling heat rides from the east
scent of granite and sage
the desert heaves a gentle sigh
actors please take the stage.

Skin to rock as heart to love
climb with calloused hands
Joshua trees arms outstretched
reborn from rock and sand.

We could have been the perfect pair,
love openly without a care;
secrets, not lies, made me more aware and sad!
You were already committed to someone else,
had kids and a handsome husband
within your reach;
the only missing link
was someone with crafted hands...
someone who could make you dream!

The agony of my regret
is something I could never forget;
look at you: you are happy,
and don't need me
to take you to the fartest star,
because you've everything...
and I have nothing!
The agony of my regret hurts in many ways,
and will follow me through my blue nights:
when I stare at the dimmest stars
too distant for me to be reached...
wishing it was you I touched!

We could have loved a lifetime, make
everything easy and wonderful...paint
our rainbows with beautiful colors;
lie beneath the most peaceful skies,
interweave ourselves in warm embraces
and forever dream in a meadow of daises!

Where do all the birds go?
Autumn brings rain
The birds............
Gone again
Before the winter snow

Where do the birds go?
Leaving me.........
All alone..........
With a leafless tree
Birds, flown
Yet, not me

Where did all the birds go?
Quiet flurry of snow........
They gave no sign.........
They didn't show......

To follow a sun......
The birds.......
The Autumn rain........
Here again..........
The birds...
One by one

Where do all the birds go?
I do not know
I have no wings,
to follow........
I sit and wait for Spring
The return of sound........
From the air
Feathered things found........
I missed them so

I do not have wings,
to take me to the sun
They left me..........
One by one
My heart no longer sings
I must wait..........
Until winter is done,
and spring has begun

I picked a flower of blue
Delicate and fine
I filled it with love
I filled it with sunshine,
and gave it to you
Each petal
Spoke of my love
Softest scent
Each leaf of green
Let you know
All that was meant
I picked a flower for you
Filled a heart
That was so blue
Turned into
A glowing sun
Now you know
That love and light
In you...

Wings to Fly

If I had wings to fly
I would surely fly away
To a desert time and place
So none could find my face
If I had wings to fly
I would soar above the clouds
Far from here and now
To where? To there somehow
If I had wings to fly

If I had wings to fly
I would fly to be alone
Where nothing could go wrong
And I would sing my song
If I had wings to fly
I would mount above the world
To escape your winds that whirl
And the stones of boys and girls
If I had wings to fly

If I, If I had wings to fly, I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves fly, doves cry
If I, If I had wings to fly I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves cry, doves die (Chorus)

If I had wings to fly
I'd fly right back to truth
To a place of hope with you
Where we could start anew
If I had wings to fly
I'd make my flight complete
And take you high with me
For all the world to see
If I had wings to fly

If I had wings to fly
I'd not fly away again
For I was wrong there and then
I won't wish for where I've been
If I had wings to fly
I'd give my wings to you
For your love for me is proved
And our love can not be moved
Even if I had wings to fly

Fire and Water

Wild Mountains
Cool Breeze
Wild Woman
Your Fire Powerful
My Waters just as strong
Will your Fire put out my waters
Will my Waters douse your flame
The challenge is yours to accept
Fire and Water
Two Passions...Powerful
when married as a force
Are you the one I am to explore
of the least of these?
The one who will understand my passions
and my actions.
Wild Woman
Firey Woman
Let me douse your flame
Engulf yourself in my waters
Engulf yourself in my waters

I long for Spring
For Winter darkness
Has no place in my heart
With the bare trees
In all of its' starkness

I long for the first peepings
Of buds of green
To clothe a tree
A field
The flowers to see
in Spring

I long for the fresh sky
Of a Spring day
To see birds fly
To see birds play

I long for spring
Morning light
To fall
Upon forest flowers
Upon trees
So tall

I long for Spring
For Winter darkness
Has no place in my heart
With the bare trees
In all of its' starkness

Yellow roses

While walking in the park
I saw a yellow rose
It reminded me of our love
and how I hope it grows

The petals so colorful, vibrant and bright
it seemed to sparkle in the sun
when I held it to the light

I picked a handful
enough to give to you
A token of my love
not sure what else to do

Shadows lengthen,
rust red deepens
This dune,
hidden soon

Night to take
This flower lake

Namaqua sand
Namaqua land

Daisy yellow
Namaqua mellow

Dawn sky brightens
Daisy colour lightens
Flowers awake,
on this vast flower lake

Dusty land
Daisy land

Daisy yellow
Namaqua mellow
Flowers showing
Daisy yellow flowing

Vast blue african sky
Namaqua daisy flourishes
Rich red earth
African rain nourishes

Namaqua blue skies
The yellow daisy lies
This vast flower lake
To make your heart ache

Warm rain gushes from the bright sky,
to free all clouds of their heavy weight
and nourish everything below...
even the dry beak of a sparrow;
we didn't ask for it and yet
it came unexpectadly
to end our physical thirst...
another reminder of mercy!

The thirsty crows invade
the drenched meadows,
once so dried-out and yellowed,
to resemble an arid desert;
water sustains life on this planet...
and allowes the low rivers to overflow
when winter can't bring any snow; all hope useless?

There'll be lots of beautiful flowers this spring,
even those silent bells will joyfully ring;
a brighter sun will radiate...
illuminating our path until evening:
so much joy in our singing,
a perfect time to meditate!

Warm rain gushes from the bright sky,
surprise sparkles in the unbeliever's eyes;
doubts make us unhappy and weak...
considering the dark side of things!
Vision makes us soar above the awesome stars,
while despair causes our souls to die!

Details | Ballad | |

Escaping reality
seems the only way
to really feel free;
lying back on a soft meadow,
looking up to see
the scarlet moon
rushing against another shadow...
before the coming of dawn!

Losing what's not mine,
its very hard of letting go,
because it took more
that faith to get where I am...
and only be left with pride!

I took a forgotten dream,
and turned it into a vision:
to set the mood of passion...
to steadly touch, not just feel!

Losing what' not mine
makes me doubt the meaning
of those unconvincing words;
how did I fell for a lie so unforgiving,
too unpleasant to be remembered by time...
to which everything belongs?

Every star has gone to another sky,
and the pale moon won't leave;
how should I forget about Eve,
if I have no strength to cry?

Amongst the honeysuckle
and morning dew
A Hummingbird
Of iridescent blue
Darted back and forth
In a garden
Made for you

For, in the walled garden
Flashing blue and green
Red too
The whirr of wings
Hummingbirds are to be seen

Such beauty
That lies in a magical world
For, whirring wings
Flashing green and blue
Lies in you

Such colours
Amongst the flowers
Melted the heart
A Hummingbirds' flight
A joy to see
I sat upon the wooden seat
Wished you were here
With me

Stone crops flash by me,
blur of speed

Flick of wing,turn of beak,
the hunt is on
for the prey I seek

Spears of rock
are my home

This magnificent mountain
strewn with scree
capped by frost
ringed by tree

Rising high,it stands alone,
granite buttresses
keep it company

Planes of rock make me twist and turn,
complex flying I must learn
to circumnavigate this world of stone

Timeless unchanging mountain,
my home in cool,crisp air

Wind whispering,
call me invitingly to the search
for I am the Hawk of this mountain

A mountain i know well
for it is living breathing stone,
my place ,my home

Scent of pine fills me
as i scan for prey
Blur of speed on rock
endless scree

My mountain,my home,
this is no solitary life
for I am not alone

Weathered rock,clean air
scent of green
are my companions
not always seen

Spears of stone reach for sky,
turn of wing I fly by
complex flying
rock sighing

This mountain stands alone ,
my hunting ground,my home
strewn with scree,
capped with frost,
ringed by tree

Where do you belong?
Alone on a windswept beach?

Everything I gave
Everything I taught
Nothing to save
All came to nought

Alone on a windswept beach
These grey clouds flying by
Nothing more to teach
Hear the wind sigh

Alone on a windswept beach
Where do you belong?
These things I cannot teach

For the wind swept me away
These grey clouds flying by
Sometimes this is the way
Hear the wind sigh

Wind song
These grey clouds passing me by
I am feeling strong
I know where I belong
Passing through
Windswept sky

Summer's showers for tender hands
stretching out to rainy skies...not thundering,
stunningly doomed by silence;
thankful hands showing gratitude:
pure love flowing from the smallest heart...
to rapidly move and thrill us
with its sincere feeling
and bring us back to that lost fortitude!

The wistling train rushes and winds through
the fertile plain sorrounded by misty hills,
the attentive adolescent  follows it 'till it vanishes;
he'll make great strides to achieve his goals
and build a foundation that no one will ever undue,
whomever awaits fortune...doesn't have any dreams!

Summer's showers for tender hands...
for someone showing genuine happiness;
and he's desirous to know
the meaning of everything:
from the smaller things to the greatest things...
his knowledge must extend and grow
until his curiousity runs low!
What others despise,he adores...
when innocence is a reflection of purity,
many detest it with animosity!

Another train returns to the foggy town...
a town so lonely and without sun;
the jeering boy waves at someone,so familiar,
smiling beyond an open window...
someone who inspires him to dare:
to steadly feed his fervent ego...
to enhance his insatiable aspirations
that'll bring him greatness tomorrow!

Summer's showers for tender hands
that hold nothing within their grasp...
and need fond hopes and assurance;
a strinkingly handsome lad
catching butterflies with one hand...
a captor who fundles them as babies
and sets them free to spring up
to the illimitable,idle skies!

The joyous adolescent trots along
 the immense flowers' fields
humming his favorite song...
picking up one of each kind: clover,
daisy,pansy and violet...
to give them to the one he loves more;
he finally stops to make
a simple wish with open eyes:
to live a life full of promise
and make those good choices...
to let nothing stand between him
and his priced freedom!

We read of beauty and love
Of Kings
Of Queens
What of the trees?
Where magic and colour became
Many shades of green

Long ago
In a far off time
When trees could move
When trees could whisper

The king of earth did ask
The Whispering Trees
A certain task
To hide a Castle
Tress to grow mighty and tall
Hide the Heartstone
That resides in the Great Hall

Living through centuries
Tell of many things
Of legends
Of Queens and Kings
Faeries' magic
Love too

Details | Ballad | |

A Queen ….
Looked out
Upon gardens
Fresh and green
Thought of love
Thought of everything

How the colours
Moved and rippled
In the lightest breeze
How love flowed
In everything

Such a colour
A thought
To carry
In a locket

Heartstone Faeries
Knew the secret
Of love
Of everything

A locket of gold
Finest tracery
For a Queen
To hold

A locket made
Contained within
All the colour
All the love
Of everything
It would never fade

A Queens’ locket
To reveal
To you
What is mean’t
What is true

Mountain Splendor

They pierce the heavens
  Like many fine breasts
Some are powdered white
  While others be bare
Yet all spring forth
  The essence to support life
Creating the many valleys
The Plains and rivers spread out before
With much anticipation
  I begin to scale thee
When at last visions of grandeur fill the eye
  Revealed, which were hidden
Till at last I have conquered thee
  Envisioning the splendor God made
Which is spread out before
Now at last I am blessed to see

The storm

Darkness, my lovely shroud of comfort
protecting me, while unveiling me
permitting my hollowness to swell
to rise, to be seen

A costume providing no cover at all
yet calling, so lulling
everyday for me if no one else
never failing, always present

I close my eyes and sink into your beauty
my abyss, my sweet surender
your calming nature is my soul's perfect pleasure
hold me, obey me

Envelop me in your arms
always, and eternity
I yearn for your gently kiss
tasteless, and I savor..

I gaze upon five billion stars
so many, all lonely
One pivotal point alone on the Earth
so blinding, yet fading

Fervently, I scream out into the night
two eyes unseeing
everything appears imperfectly clear
rippled, yet flawless

Emotions run rampant with great speed and time
anger and loathing and resentment and
memories attack like a thousand tidal waves
I'm drowning, who will save me

The wind tears full on my temple
and harshly, so kindly
I welcome the pain, the adrenaline rush
resounding right through me

Then....The Thunder!!-the sky answers back
I'm here, I am waiting
Bolts and flashes like visions of truth
I can't take it, I won't make it

A shower errupts, I peer to the sky
It stings, I embrace it
The water I fear, erodes my facade
I want to keep hiding----now the lightning

Epiphanies from old, come claw at my face
the pleasure, so degrading
The chaos inside grows with the storm
inviting, yet so smiting

I feel my will rise like howls in the breeze
come and get me, wont you take me
I am your puppet--I do what I please!!!
I love it, I can't stand it

More desolate now than ever before
the drops drenching, my heart wrenching
such immaculate pain, just reciting my name
fragile whisper--so diminish

Then stopped the rain

Alone once again......

Everyone will have
more love in themselves,
if only they showed
the smallest kindness;
and smiled at each other
like sister and brother!

Only one man in all History
made that ultimate sacrifice...
such a short life
lived in holiness:
to show our hopeless Humanity
its new, wonderful destiny!

If flowers grow by sunlight,
we, too, can grow by faith...
and be as beautiful as they are at night;
If stars are admired for their beauty,
and speak to us of eternity...
we should be brighter than their light!

There's never anything wrong
when it comes to giving of oneself,
because compassion is measured by love...
even the smallest kindness can be so immense;
and they are no doubts when a joyful heart is sure:
nothing could be purer!

The stars shone bright...
under an Arizona sky
Mesas of red rock stood still,
bathed in reflected light

Winds blew,
winding their way through....
Towers of rock....
Sighing too

An opalescent moon rose....
In an Arizona sky...
In a land , the stars chose....
For you and I
Shooting stars fell..
Upon monument valley
Silent whisper of wind
The red rock stood still
What they could tell....
In the evenings' chill

Spears of rock,
pointed to an Arizona sky
Held up a roof of stars.....
Watched them pass by

The red rock grew...
Right up into the deep blue
The colour....
Like deep red wine....
the arizona sky...
stars too,
became mine

Prayers are answered by choice or creed...
if faith is stronger than belief;
put that glimpse of imagination to work,
and simply believe in yourself:
it will come to pass while you're awake,
because determination leads everyone to believe!

Ask for an abundant harvest,
and be specific in your request;
and if it is earnest and motivated...
your wish will be granted!

Look out to the lulling grain and corn fields,
someone has planted their seeds...
soon to be sawed in an abundant harvest;
no one but God has the power to bless!

This truth was egoistically hidden from me,
hypocrites and deceivers told me otherswise:
to try my luck in gambling and giving money away;
what grief and disappointment I accrued from their lies!

Ask for an abundant harvest,
knowing that everything given
won't ever be forsaken;
but don't let folly make you one of the least!

Curse is equal to deserved pain,
because it has the same result,
and guilt is even greater than sin;
consider all before you answer your call!

Ask for an abundant harvest,
with hands and eyes lifted up;
He will hear you...though you speak in a whisper:
distance won't stop God from opening His door!

A beautiful sky, so red
Scattered as far as the eye can see
Words cannot be said
A beautiful sky,
for me

I looked up,
to a beautiful sky, so red
To be a cloud
Yet, I am down here instead

The sun painted its' colour
beautiful and red
throughout the sky

A beautiful sky, so red
melted away
Dark blue
Some say...
Transformed the day,
to something new

The sky darkened
Night was here instead
To steal the light....
of a beautiful sky, so red

I have become a night
Lost in starlight
Onwards I sped,
to find a beautiful sky , so red

The unceasing roar
Surf and coral,
hitting the shore

This underwater show
This blaze of colour,
roar of surf.... so

Coral reef home,
so many fish,
blue sea foam,
this is my wish............

This living breathing reef,
surrounded by sea so blue
Living breathing jewel,
you want to be it too

Crashing of sea,
exploding white foam
I want this to be my home
Mighty blue sea
This reef........
exploding foam

Rush of water,
through the coral
Small fish dart
Multicoloured streaks,
natures' freaks

This roar of colour,
sealed in blue
Deep down,
Neptunes' crown

This surf of white,
hitting golden sand
Sun,so bright
This colour ,you understand
Sealed in blue,
rich too..........

Rhythmic roar
The colour you saw
Living breathing reef,
underwater leaf

This moving swell,
coral reef does dwell
Sealed in sea of blue,
underwater paradise
Dive with me too

This brief escape,
weightless in coral sea
This magnificent waterscape,
brilliant green underwater leaf
that is part of...............
The reef

Electric blue fish dart about
other creatures,
their colour does shout
Ceasless flow,
upon this reef
Coral sea,
let us go below
for, we love it so

Pink and green,
purple and red
the brightest you have ever seen
blue and yellow
where have you been?

This reef encircles me,
crown of coral
Sealed by blue sea
Here lies the moral,
Neptunes' son...... you see
natures' son doesn't quarrel

A King
Held the Heartstone
In his cupped hands
In his face
The reflected glow
Of light
Of love
All seeing

The Heartstone
Knew everything
Of worlds made
The Wise Ways laid

Such beauty
Will never surpass
A Heartstone
Its' special glow
To reveal
All in your heart
All that you know

A king
Gazed upon such beauty
How the four of them
Created such a gem
How it lay
In everyones heart
A mystery
From the earliest day

For, you are a mountain
A sea of blue
The gem inside of you
Its' discovery
Its' light
All of it
Belongs to you

There's an inimical solemnity
dissolving the loveliness
of the last day of spring;
I sought solitude and awareness
from the very beginning,
but this farewell won't depart from me!

Along the the shady and dusty road so solitary,
I pick ripe strawberries so fragrantly dainty:
these are precious gifts of Mother Nature held out
to my grateful hands...never wanting to stop!

Gentle butterflies swirl in frantic swiftness
to land where I am standing;
I step aside to let them in,
allowing them to savor the same sweetness!

Winding paths lead to emerald and vast meadows,
guarded by a brilliant sky scented by daffodils...
there the fragrance enters freely into the nostrils;
there only the sultry and mysterious night of June
can hide its frightful shadows
under the translucent gleams of the argent moon!

From the corners of a small island
alienated from the human mind
and ever overlooked by the haziest sky,
voltures hover briefly,then descend abruptly
to feed upon a wounded,wriggling deer,near death,
unable to fend himself off!

Distant gallops take a quick rest
as targeted rifles line and blast,
shrieking creatures plunge down,lifeless,
into the weedy grass...
as their helpless,drooping wings
and expiring eyes
strike the thristles with their bloody heads!

The pitiful predators lie moribond in exile,
to show their bleeding wounds...
of imprudent eagles
to the wild!

My star, fading
In the cold light,
of a new day

Flashes of green
Flashes of blue
nothing to be seen

Lost in light
Drowned in a sun,
waiting for night

You cannot see,
what you cannot find
a fading star
At could be you,
it could be me

Deepening sky,
emerging night
Flashes of blue
Flashes of green
My star light

Star bright
in a sky, filled with night
Filled with me
Filled with you
Lost in star light

Pink blossoms,
fall on me

The shade ,so sweet
Shelter from this heat
I look upward.........
To the tree
Pink blossoms...........
Fall on me
The place to be.............
The place for me...........

Shady tree.....
Made for me
Leafy shades,
never fades

Pink blossom,
drifting down
Lifts my frown
Pink blossom..........
From the tree
Falls on me

Shady tree
belongs to me
The heart lifted
Pink blossoms.......

So soft, the night fell,
I missed twilight
A canopy of stars,
upon my head did dwell

Glorious night!,
welcomed me
Such stars!
Such moonlight!

The moon rose high,
such quiet beauty
I tracked its' passage
in a star laden sky

There is more here...
Than the eye can follow
Than the eye can see

So softly, did the night fall,
a sunset passed
Night and day never last
The moon,the stars...
Held me in awe

As the geese flew north
The honking cries
Could be heard
In clear Autumn skies

Winter came
Blustery snow fell
During the night
Robin redbreasts and Castle Sparrows
Could be heard
At first light

The King of Air
Fed all the birds at the Castle
During the day,
He took food
Down to the forest
Beautiful as winter can be
Food was spare
The King made sure
No bird, would go hungry

Castle Sparrows
Fluttered here and there
Earning their keep,
by picking up all sorts of things
The Castle was tidy,
as wished by the King of Air

Robins, strutted around
Puffing out their red feathers
Amusing all who took walks
In the castle grounds

Winter began to thaw
The birds of spring
Called out joyously
Birds could be seen
Amongst the fresh green

Birds of every colour
Took to the air
Flew amongst the Whispering Trees
You could hear birds singing

Heartstone Eagles
Circled high
Above a castle
Traversing the mountain
Daily patrols
Watching all of the sky

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

A drop to fall
Through the night
The coming dawn
Cannot it take it all

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

On the river
Sweet and clear
The water ran
Through boulder
Through river sand

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

The river twisted and turned
The easiest path learned
Picking up sand and clay
Every night
Every day

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

The rush of water
In streams
In rivers
In dreams

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

The music of water
With a drop to fall
Created a symphony
Flowing to the sea

Let it flow free
Music in liquidity
Down to the sea

Soft tinkling of the river
Meeting the roar of the sea
A river song
Lost for eternity

It may sound foolish or even insane
to have a wish for richness or fame,
and it's perfectly normal and human
to long for things we don't have;
but it's morally wrong to use them
against others...for one's greed and gain!

That conviction comes from inside,
uncovering the unclearness of doubt...
without being afraid of answers so dark;
faith seems worthless without a vision in the mind..
be persistent in seeking gold with an enormous risk,
and many will try a thousand times until they find it!

A small seed will grow into a rich harvest...
sun-nurtured and rain-quencher before sunset,
and all these things you desire
are obtained through prayer;
don't heed the cynic's advice:
push forward with endless stride!

A wish for richness has different motives,
discard the unworthy ones, consider the good ones;
curiousity and effort make people successful,
'till their empty basket is completely full!
Never did I see  believers struggle for food;
it was given because they bow down to a true God!

Real food comes from the fertile earth,
those who eat it will not know early death;
millions of people die from man-made diseases:
cigarettes, drugs, alchool, and promiscuous sex;
if these are to continue, there'll be no one left!

Be considerate of others...don't do anything
you don't want to be done to yourself;
have the kindest heart overflowing with giving:
never stop at anything, if someone laughs;
your determination is the result of dedication:
let all watch and envy you for your perception!

Falling stars
Soft silver light

Silently fell
All of you...
All of me...

In the Valley
Of falling stars
I felt....
I sensed....
Near, me....

In the silence of the night
The light of stars
In a Valley
Of soft silver light

A Castle ,felt....
All of these things
Of stars
Of love
That fell..
From a canopy of night

Promises Whispered Unspoken

She blew a sigh of Summer wind
A breeze to taste the air
A cooling mist a feeling missed
A gentle hint of rain
Sunlight filtered through the leaves
To settle on her face
There was no way
This lady fey
Was of the human race
I shivered in the Summer heat
Pine needles sticking in my feet
Sweat wet tee shirt
Sudden chill
She moved in close to take her fill
Whispered wood songs almost heard
Sweet chatter rings of myriad birds
Then stroked my palm
And disappeared

Deep in summer wood
where beauty grows
This garden,
home of the bramble rose

This high wall
bordered in pink
The bramble rose,
high above us all

Soft ferns of jade
This green,
does not fade
Hidden delights to be seen

Delicate blooms with petals of pink
nestle with flowers of deep yellow
Such colour, makes you blink
Fills you with wonder so

Moss covered stone,
gentle trickle of stream
I am alone
In the garden of my dream

Blue butterflies abound
Hear the bird song,
all around
Soft hum of bees,
through the trees

The bramble rose
encircles the dell
How wonderful is grows,
by the old well

The soft scent
from the bramble rose
Its' pastel pink flower,
enriches me so,
as I sit beneath this shady bower

This garden seat
beneath bramble rose
Away from the heat,
leave behind your woes

Sit back and enjoy,
hum of bees through the trees,
Colours to make you blink
from flowers yellow and pink
Deep in summer wood

This garden,
deep in summer wood,
where beauty grows
Home of the bramble rose

Filled with light

A kaleidescope
Falling through
All of me

In as many words
Inside of me
So many colours to feel
Upon a night

I found you
In as many words
Inside of me
Misty blue
Star bright

So many things
So many stars

Stars are special
Never more so
Than from a Heartstone
For stars...
Have a unique glow

Encircling your heart
Such light
Coming from you
Misty blue

I thought
I felt
The star
Of misty blue
In me

That such a star
From a Heartstone
Misty blue
Can be in me
Found in you

I thought
I felt
The star...
Of misty blue
In you

Such a day
Filled with you
Of blue skies
And dragonflies

I look back
Upon a time
When a merest thought
You felt
Like heady wine
Feelings wrought
Iridescent blue
Shimmer of wing
Quiver of heart
Of blue skies
And dragonflies
You remembered , too

Such a day
Spent with you
Felt like forever
It was
On a day
So blue
Of dragonflies
And hearts

Your reflection
Upon water, so still
Of iridescent blue
I saw you ….
My dragonfly

I dream't..
Deep red..
Soft pink..

In the twilight..
I flew in to a sunset
For, a golden sun
Has sunk beneath
Leaving a colour trail
For me to follow

When life is a colour..
I was a sunset
In my dreams
Deep red..
Soft pink..
Indigo ..

For, a sun
Dipped below
A dark horizon
Leaving a colour trail
For me to follow

Stars, to awaken
With indigo
Sunset dreams
Soon forsaken

I wish...
For you to see
A sunset dream
That was me

I looked out the window
the light, streaming down
amongst the trees
reflecting on me

To walk amongst the trees,
a simple pleasure
Fresh scent of pine
mind , at ease

I heard birds,
shadows flying from tree to tree
My hand to touch
This roughness of bark
Such thoughts , absurd

How the deepening light,
changes the colour of the trees
I have seen this view
Three thousand and six hundred and fifty times
Memorised it too
Always a delight

The physical bonds that hold me,
are permanent...
Ten years ago,
the broken back,
shackled me so

I am amongst the trees
I never went away
For ,the mind is always free
Living another forest day

I cannot move,
the way I used to
The mind is never chained,
yet in this chair,
my body remained

To walk amongst the trees,
a simple pleasure
Thoughts to treasure
One day...

I feel,
yet I cannot touch
the trees
I feel the wind
Blowing through
I wish i could too

Slow silent tears fall,
the light streaming down
amongst the trees
I never went away...
I visited you...
every day...

A Dawn to remember
A suns’ soft glow
Rising in the east
A colour flow
Tracking west
Across the sea

A brightening sky
Pushed the night
In to the west
Pink and red
The sun to fly

A suns’ glow
Upon the ocean
That touched
A Shadowfire
A colour flow

She held a handful of stars

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Queen of starlight

She held a handful of stars
She tossed them far
Scattering through,
the midnight sky

The star that landed on me..........
Was my destiny
For this star,
choose to be..............
the star for me

Scattering through,
billions of stars
There is one waiting for you

Glittering glow,
from my chosen star so
Scattered throught the blackest night
This one, I won't let go

This star
So bright
It came so far you see.............
It chose me

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night

She held a handful of stars
She held one for me
The star she held................
Was my destiny

One for me........
One for you........
Travelling too........
Such stars are meant to be..........

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Scattering starlight

Mountain ,forest and stream.....
I can dream

I fly over them all,
hear my call.........
Such heights
Such delights

Golden feathers to fly
Wings to dream
Things are not what they seem
I can, but try

Mountain,forest and stream....
I can dream

The golden feathers I have let go
This wind I will follow
Will be here tomorrow

I cannot deny,
that I am meant to fly
Upon these mighty wings,
my heart sings

Mountain,forest and stream....
I can dream

Feathery gold,
set against rich green
This I hold............
deep in my chest
This is where I have been
All these thoughts suppressed

Mountain,forest and stream....
I can dream

There is no denying......
The time is near...........
This is the time for flying

For the bird inside.......
Bursting free.........
Flying high.....
flying free....
Nothing to hide....
For all to see

Mountain,forest and stream....
I can dream

Questions of My Heart

I look toward the heavens searching
Hoping for answers
Seeing only the stars shinning above
I too begin to doubt
Is there a God
My heart becomes wrenched and torn
Hearing nothing in return
Faith he said is all I need
A seed without soil
Watered alone
Questions are all I have
Questions of my heart
Answers to some have I given
For I see an infant born
The life abundant about me too
Is that God you ask
Look and see
Does it look up toward the heavens
Attempting to reach the glory of the sky
Do the stars then look down
No, so they then remind us too
Look up, look up they cry
Look up in hope
Answers you will find

A flash of wing.............
Exploded feathers.......
Bird of prey
Nature's way
Raptor's thing

The Falcon's speed
Victim,pays no heed
Aerial violence,
in the sunlit blue silence

The Hawk........
flashing by
High speed dart in the sky

The kestrel............
Hovering above ground
The assassin............
Kills without a sound

Mighty Eagle............
Lord of the sky
Feathers of gold
Mighty Eagle,
So bold

Bird of prey...........
Slash of beak.......
Rip of talon
Hunting, the only day

Flashing shadow
Feathers ,glow
Prey ,to die
Bird of prey
Lord of sky

The sun,at your back
You, make your attack
The keen eye,
surveys, all the sky

Masters of the air
Eagles lair
Compete, if you dare
Your life ,not to spare

Soft green leaves murmur to me
Lush grass beneath my bare feet
Sun on my shoulders

Tall trees,mighty boughs
Birds calling softly

Sun,filtering through trees
produce multitude hues of green

Soft dappled light
Cool of shade

Shadows of green
Welcome me
Leaves rustle
Nature's bustle

I feel so alive in this verdant place
Cool grass beneath my feet
Hand on tree
Soft wind in my face

Butterflies dart around me
iridescent blue wings
Time to sit by shady tree
And enjoy these wonderful things

Sunflowers and lilies fluttering
in the sweet scented breeze...
seagulls descending
from the clearest sky penetrating,
even further than thought,
into the tuneless waves
of the peaceful sea;
my coming to this shore
is to sense credibility,
to get a glimpse of creation
before age shows me
the final path,
to witness that all
I created won't fade into oblivion...

The Country that gave me pride and honor
was more generous than a mother,
alluring me with her charm,
proclaming me her chosen son;
I have wailed her obsence
and at the time of departing, neither
the promise of riches
nor the vision of prominence
could dissuade me of this sacrifice:
that no other ambition could take me further...

Sorrounded by beauty and infinity,
my first dream gave me the wings of expression...
to go where I dared not go without certainty;
amid storms I would not be lost,
on ascending tides I would not be tossed ashore,
because my courage prepared me for the worst:
while wisdom and knowledge nortured my ego,
my dilemma conflicted with predestination...

The Country that gave me pride and honor,
long stands for excellence and grandeur...
past glories at every corner,
ruins that still resound of voices,
of ordinary people in the busy markets;
hails bestowed upon the new conqueror
passing underneath the arch of triumph,
another Caesar declared through the streets of Rome!

Wreathed in starlight
A heart...
Filled with delight
Filled with stars

I wanted you to see
All that I am
In you
All that can be

In me
All that I am
All that you could see
Is for you.......

I looked down
Upon your face
Wreathed in starlight
A heart...
Filled with delight
Filled with stars

When seas shone blue
Skies glowed
Faeries flew
Magical things showed

If you could only see
And touch
All of the blue
That I found in you
You would know
What makes me

And you can….
For you know
That seas, shine bright
When together
Such things flow
Of eagle
Of feather

Once upon a time
When seas shone blue
We sailed
In to sunsets
My love for you
Like colour
Felt through

When we are apart
Colours fade
Seas, turned gunmetal grey
I felt your heart
Colours made
When I see you

This garden of flowers.......
Can be yours too
Follow me........
What you can see
What can be

This garden of flowers
I found in you
Deep in your heart
Flowers of blue....
Pink too.....

Such beauty inside
Wanting to be free
Your colour........
What it means to me
What it cannot hide

This richness I see
Flowers blossoming
What it means to me
My heart feeling........
The colours cascading

This garden of flowers
I found in you........
So precious too
The colours revealed inside
The heart sighed

This garden of flowers
You cannot hide..........
What you have inside
Colours to touch
Colours to feel
Colours that make it real

For ,The heart
Holds the delicate blooms
The colour booms
What I can see too,
in the garden of you

Heartstone Eagles
Recounted the tales
Of the battles with the Wraiths
and their piercing screeching wails

When Eagles fell...
In to the Wraiths' hell
Blackened and burned
Such brave sacrifices , learned

The wind blew
Bitter and cold
Eagles took to the air
To find the evil
The coming darkness too

Down below
With ripped and tattered cloaks
Poisoning the earth
With rancorous soaks

Eagles , up high
Swooped down
Feathers of gold
Gleaming in the sun
The battle ahead, begun
To take the Heartstone crowns

With talons drawn
They ripped through
So many Wraiths
Never enough Eagles
To conquer the evil
Of tattered cloaks,
burned and torn

Eagles, fell
Flashes of fire
Eagles , gone forever
In to the Wraiths' hell

It is in an Eagles' sorrow
That so many were lost
That the Heartstone Gem
The light to follow
Banished the bitter frost

In the midst of such pain
All those years ago
A new eyrie was built
Close to the Great Hall
To remember
Those fallen Eagles
Whose lives , spilt
Who will live again
In the hearts of all

Stone crops flash by me,
blur of speed

Flick of wing,turn of beak,
the hunt is on
for the prey I seek

Spears of rock
are my home

This magnificent mountain
strewn with scree
capped by frost
ringed by tree

Rising high,it stands alone,
granite buttresses
keep it company

Planes of rock make me twist and turn,
complex flying I must learn
to circumnavigate this world of stone

Timeless unchanging mountain,
my home in cool,crisp air

Wind whispering,
call me invitingly to the search
for I am the Hawk of this mountain

A mountain I know well
for it is living breathing stone,
my place ,my home

Scent of pine fills me
as I scan for prey
Blur of speed on rock
endless scree

My mountain,my home,
this is no solitary life
for I am not alone

Weathered rock,clean air
scent of green
are my companions
not always seen

Spears of stone reach for sky,
turn of wing I fly by
complex flying
rock sighing

This mountain stands alone ,
my hunting ground,my home
strewn with scree,
capped with frost,
ringed by tree

The molten rock came to the surface
The King of Water
Covered the rock in the sea
Rock exploded
Threw themselves high
Huge trails littered the sky
Of rock that cooled and hissed

Soon the seas
Surrounded the rock
The endless battering
Made beaches
Made mountains
The Fire King forges
The Water King , cools

Soon the seas
So barren
Would be filled
With gifts from the Earth King
For fish in their multitudes
Inhabited a world of swimming

The King of Water
Explored the depths
Of the sea
Of the meaning
It became the dreaming

For on the sea,
and under it
Dreams are made
For you
For me

When the earth settled and laid
Fresh water lakes filled
The cracks in the rock
That the Fire King made

The water gave life
To everything
The fish
The animals
To Heartstone
The dreaming

Such consciousness
Became the Stream of Sighs
For water is alive
It lives within us all

Because I was beaten....I beat,
Because I was abused....I abuse,
Because I was hurt....I repeat,
Because others found it funny....I'm amused,
I come from a broken home....that's why I'm stoned,
I wasn't loved....thats why I don'e believe,
I was left all alone....that's why I can't stay home,
I was poor....that's why I need,
That's why....I can't,
That's don't understand,
That's why....about nothing I rant,
That's why....I need a hand,
Life did me wrong,
Life took it all,
Life....a broken mans sad song,
Life....and you missed the call,
But...I wasn't given a chance,
But....I can't love, was a trance, one was ever above,
Excuses.... for not,
Excuses because that's all they are and that's all you got, them I heard them all before.

I lived through
So many times
Places ,too

I felt in me
The softest wind
Beginning to blow
How journeys start
How far to go
With the heart

I felt such things
Like the wind that blew
Beneath the trees
Stirrings , in you

I cannot hear
I must listen to my heart
For like a book
It will open
With you
Never apart

Beneath trees
I found you
You, found me
Such stirrings
Softest wind
That blew
On a journey

Flin Flon

I step out from the city
to my home and native land;
where the Canadian shield soars
with the help of God's great hand.

The many trees before our eyes
grow as far as we can see.
The lakes move so gracefully
and the rocks as still as can be.

The thousands of friendly people
wave hello each day;
And nod their heads goodnight
when they walk away.

The northern sun begins to set
at around 10 o'clock at night.
The peaceful evening only starts
when the wildlife move in sight.

We sit upon the backyard deck,
without a neon light;
Counting every sparkling star
and watching bats in flight.

Staying up late on weekends
to climb the tallest of heights.
Bringing out the sleeping bags
to watch the Northern Lights.

Hearing the loons sing their songs
under the midnight skies.
Feeling the morning air again
when the sun begins to rise.

I can't help but feel so blessed
to be able to see lights dawn;
Right in the middle of Canada
in a city called "the Flon".

More Human

There's a gift that man has, that's uniquely our own,
not in fishes, nor birds, nor beasts that do roam.
And we doubt that in Heaven, where matter is not,
that Angels can touch, this wet little dot.
A crystal clear liquid, that comes from your soul,
found deep in your heart, is the source of its flow.

A small swale like tide fills your chest, makes you float,
as it rises and swells and chokes in your throat.
Your breath becomes jagged; you're hard-pressed to speak,
your tongue, it tastes salty, your body drifts weak.
Your sinuses sniffle, your hearing is clogged,
your vision is blurry, your eyes water logged.

Now a flood of emotion drowns your mind in a din,
as the dams of your ego burst forth from within.
Through the seas of your being, streams a truth that you trust,
to the oceans eternal, pours God’s essences of Us.
Swim these currents of wisdom; you tread not in vain,
fore that trickle on your cheek falls, as spiritual rain.

Know your purpose for living, adrift in this flesh,
is to let your spring flow, to love life at it's best!
It wells forth, in your joy, your sorrow, your now,
from your pain, your elation, your promise, your vow.
Be you happy or sad, overjoyed or in fear,
there's nothing more human, then the drop of a tear.

Bloody Morning

A big explosion
           near the docks
A terrible tragedy by all accounts
Many gone, many left in tears
     The reporters tell us
  this story today
     We absorb the impact
and get on with our lives
    But some lives have
been snuffed out
    Let the crystal snowflakes
come and cover the scene of
the crime
    Nature's white blanket
         will let us forget
The loves of the lost
       will feel pain
   but it will fade
with the new year
   Heartache is the order
         of the day
But tomorrow morning will come
to ease the pain
     Let's find healing
          in nature's gifts
      It's the one chance
   we have
for happiness and freedom

A gentle glide high above
Nothing to hear
Except the flow of air
over my wings
I looked for you
far below

A sweet delight
to fly...
in such light

I carried you high,
in my heart
In to the light
In to the blue sky

Such blessed silence
over my wings
Wind rush
Suns's crush

I leave this earth,
for a brief time
Flying with the sun

Thermals abound
Sun , all around
A sweet delight
To fly in such light

If I could see the wind,
see it flow over me
Gentle rolling blue sea
Such glee!

Towering cumulus
blinding white
In the fresh blue
Carrying me too
Such bliss!

The whispering trees
Remembered the time
Of the coming of the wraiths
Before the ice king
The related
How trees died
Trees mutilated

Poison filled the air
Fear and dread
For a wraith could turn
Every living thing
Black, twisted and dead

The whispering trees
Remember the time
When tall trees
Trying to protect a castle
From the stinking hell

With the wraiths
Came fire
Trees, burst in to flame
Branches, burning
Fires, rising higher

Stripped bare
A castle in sight
So little time to prepare

The burning
Of the trees
For the wraiths
The battle turning

So many trees fell
The despair
For trees
Braches dying
Could not stop
This hell

Shrieks of pain
As trees split asunder
Shattered trees
Shouts and groans
Trees, desperate for rain
Pulled under

The whispering trees
Passed the legend on
Of a heartstone
Of a battle , won

Fresh trees grew
Grievous wounds healed
For magic made them stronger too

When winter became a Spring day.....
The Spring Queen came ,with out delay
She approached through the Whispering Trees
Everything she touched, turned to green
Fresh shoots,budding leaves.....
Flowers to be seen

The Eastern Wind,
bringer of life and green
Followed the Spring Queen
The awakening...........
The greening..........

The Castle gates opened wide
The Spring Queen walked inside..............
The walled garden grown
Welcomed into Castle Heartstone

Her fingers touched the wall........
Instantly the flowers grew..........
In places not before seen
Such is the power of the Spring Queen

The air filled with the sound of birds............
Birdsong, too beautiful for words
For, there was life everywhere
The Spring days,so fair

The mood of the Castle lifted
The life,the colour
The Spring Queen, gifted

The bare trees filled out,
the welcoming shade
The walled garden transformed............
Colour spilling everywhere............
Spring is in the air

Such joy and happiness..........
Bursting through
The Whispering Trees
The East Wind breeze
The meadow flowers, so blue

Fresh flowers filled the Castle...........
Most of all in the Great Hall.........
Where the Heartstone lay,
on the north wall

The hum of bees,
buzzing on the breeze
Spring honey,so sweet...........
A real treat!

The Spring Queen.........
Giving birth...........
To a new and beautiful earth
The land lay green.....
The flowers, to be seen

These flowers,sublime
The emerging springtime............
All too soon the days grew hot.........
The days grew long.........
The days had new meaning............
Soon it would be Summer Queens' time
the intense greening

In our splendid universe,
there's more than diversity...
undiscovered planets:
like the warm beats of the heart;
huge skies of blue where anyone's
eyes cannot reach their infinity!

There can never be dark days,
and the pure joys of two loyal souls
will only lead to other unknown desires;
what keeps others from reaching this height,
and free themselves from what makes them writhe...
without having to give up anything?
That secret lies mainly with us,
jealously protected, but if curiousity overwhelms them:
we're holding the magic key...
to unlock this amazing mystery!

In our splendid universe,
all the stars take refuge in myriads,
and keep us safe from shadows,
so that we will not know sorrows;
and if the warmest sun shimmers
and breaks trough the darkest clouds,
when another storm threatens its peace,
we'll be assured to behold its magnificence!

Unworthy hearts search for an unreachable God,
but can't find Him where they wish...
until their wait becomes desperation;
why do they fail and turn back to the starting point?
We have that answer with an assurance:
turn away from all those dreadful
things that cause unnecessary pain,
and have a sudden change of heart !

The Ship

startled to sudden wakefulness
by the sudden lurch of the ship,
fear rose in my soul
cold, damp hull next to my berth,
I'd give 10 years of my life
to have my feet on solid earth

dark, quiet inboard
only the low pitched groans of metal
pounded by an angry, restless sea
was it the fear, or the sound, that had woken me?

Eyes open half way, not quite sure where I am-
What I did, and why, or who I really am-
was I drunk? was I mad? or am I just dead?
pounding waves roll into my ears, and echo in my head...

riveted steel plates before my eyes,
drops of sea dew condense inside,
sudden terror, as my mind awakes-
no sound aboard- but the
rhythmatic pounding of heavy seas

engines dead! no motor sound-
have we once too often-
dared the fates?
what's going on? what and why?
and where, oh God, are my mates?

I jerked out of bed,
as the deck dances beneath my feet-
what's happening? is this real?
will death, I once more, defeat?

to the hall I stagger...
as my world shudders about me...
no lights, no sound, and fading hope...
but the sound of ever maddening waves...
eager to crush this insolent ship,
so insolent as to invade its realm
so foolish to taunt nature
with no one now at its helm

each cabin, in rising panic,
I searched in rising gloom,
to find nothing to comfort me,
each but an empty room...

fear increasing with-
each crushed hope,
each screaming smash of wave
am I alone, am I dreaming?
or against me, the sea is scheming?

fought my way up to the rolling deck,
pain swelling in my now sprained neck-
the sea grew ever more threatening and awesome,
I felt left alone to face my fate
my outcome no longer doubtful,
I wouldn't have long to wait...

at a topside cabin,
I peeked outside,
saw mighty wind and wave-
an angry earth it was tonight
no way for me to save...

dark night and
no one about-
I cursed, I cried,
I screamed, I did shout...

abandoned? left to die?
or in a murderous dream-
did I make 32 die?
toss their bodies overboard?
feed the sea,
its requested hoard?

panic is panic,
and panic this was-
demon or victim?
which was I,
did I kill? will I die?

I retreated downdeck,
a broken man,
either way I lose-
the comfort of strong steel-
no more- it would'a been
something that I could use

Mist lay snug in the hollows
in the time before sun

A thick blanket too,
covering the green
In a land of mist,
tall spires,
rising through

A swathe of hand,
pushed away,
mist from this land,
brightening day

Quiet misty morning
tall spires,
rising through
Pale Eastern light

An eagle,
so high
Above the tall spires
Above the mist
Looking for eastern light
The disappearing night
Now is the time,
to fly

If a bird shall fall...
Where will it go?
It cannot call...
It cannot glow

If a bird shall fall...
in a clear sky
I will hold it to my breast
Breathe into its' soul
and let it go
Let it fly.........
To find its' nest

If a bird shall fall....
in the acres of your mind
Hold it tight
and you will find....
With a soft gentle blow
It will fly into the light
Your hands....
Traced with golden glow

If a bird shall fall...
Bring it to me
For, a soft gentle blow
and I will set it free

If a bird shall fall...
on to the ground
Hear the sound....
A gentle blow...
Bird all aglow
Beating heart........
Beating wings........
Little bird sings........

If a bird shall fall...
Pick it up in no time at all
Blow on a heart so still...
The wings glow
and with a soft kiss
Let it go

From the golden eyes
Golden feathers ablaze
Eagle cries

This mountain face.........
To launch into the air
Clear space
Unfolding wings
Golden lair

Fierce gaze.........

Eagle flies..........

Clear space........

Easy grace

Golden light.....

Golden gaze
Eagle's light

Fierce gaze......
from those golden eyes
Sets the sky ablaze
Golden skies

Golden gaze......
Talons lock
Golden eyes.. mock
Feathers ablaze

The encircled rock
Tipped by snow
Golden last light
Far to go
Eagles' flight

Feathers in the air
Golden stare
The aerial dance
Golden glance

Waves of lilac and white
Fill me with glee
Cosmic delight

The Cosmos here
The Cosmos there

The Cosmos you see,

My body,my boat
This is me,

Soft winds change direction
Lilac and white deflection
This is me,
riding the Cosmos sea

Moving colour sea,
blowing to you and I
Cosmic power,
felt in Cosmos flower
We dreamily sigh

Cosmic field
Colour sea
You,....... yield
This is me
My love sealed

To hear soft wind,
blowing through
My colour sea
This is me,
Riding with you,

I sailed many miles
The sun, high
In a pure azure sky

Moons and suns,
passed by
Still I sailed,
pushing through a starlit sky

This boat,
I feel its' force within me
It's sails, it's lungs
It's body, the sea

Worlds passed
slowly beneath me
All I could see,
before the mast

This big blue
Covering too

Stars , lit my way
The moon glowed
Soft wind , blowed
Led me astray

Moons and suns,
stars and skies
Ocean blues
Nothing I could refuse

Sails of purest white,
glowed softly during the night
Reassuring creak,
of this boat of teak

This boat has no direction
I am not its' guide
This boat is perfection
I am here only for the ride

The stars rotated
above my head
This boat located,
my thoughts read

It is not the destination,
it is the getting there
Journeys travelled
Suns and moons
Days and nights
The sea
The air
I will see you soon
You are just over there

In the maelstrom
The Fire King was born
Such heat
Such flame
Only a King
Could tame
All within

The seas,
of molten rock
He pushed to the surface
It has begun
A world
In a land of magic
Beneath a new sun

In the fire
Lies passion
Love too
For a King,desire

When the world cooled
A king did not
Volcanoes erupt
A sign of a King
In full flow

For, fire
Has its' glow
Irresistible to all
Loved in many ways
Love, desire
Flames flickering
In full flow

You felt such warmth
Light too
Of a King
Whose fire flickered
All he had
All he could bring

I reached out,
to touch the sun
Gold and red
Down it dipped,
night came

The night sky
brought forth its' stars
Dlanets too
darkening rush,
the day slipped by

I lifted high
Followed the wind
Followed the moon,
in to the starlit sky

This blue Earth...
At night...
Leaving a trail of stars
The planets emerging light

Martian red
Venus, jewel bright
What I came to see..
in all its' majesty

Mighty Jupiter
Chemical storms , seething
Swirling below
How it burned,
in a night sky
The Jovian light returned

The suns' radiance
felt upon my face
in deepest coldest space
Yet I sense...
Jupiter, rising

It all comes back to the sea
How strong is the spirit...
Restless in me

The sea can take me ,
in so many waves
So completely

The sea, a vessel
In which I travel,
in which I nestle

Soft ripples flow
Clouds above
The sea I came to know

The sun danced on the sea
The moon covered with silver
A restless spirit...
Roaming in me

The vastness of the sea,
in which I roam
Such fluid beauty,
is my home

30,000 insect species per mile,
half of them in my space
whirr of wings,
none of whch make me smile

Hot fetid air
decay of leaves
humidity overwhelms me
i cannot breathe

Dense impenetrable green,
rank pools of water
holds things i have never seen

The twitter and call of things unseen
leaves much to the imagination
my wild thrashings,
my curses and condemnation

Leafy clutter abounds every where
yet nothing is wasted
nature's powerhouse recycled
every thing eaten,everything tasted

Dark gloom of triple canopy,
day like night
night,stygian darkness
terrifies me

For the jungle man has no place, nothing
for the jungle, the insects are king

Frogs croak,hidden things chatter
flash of colour,nothing seen
stench of decayed matter,
everything green

Hot jungle,constant drip of water,
razor sharp bamboo,
makes me falter

This moving green mass holds me in its web,
the 30,000 insects,
i dread

Time to go quickly,
for i am not of the jungle,
which makes me poor and sickly

Leave, for the 30,000 insects have evicted me
dont worry,i'll go you'll see
whirr of wing
croak of frog
escapes me

In a midnight sky
Under a Heartstone Moon
Stars are born
Made to fly

Faerie magic....
Kings too
Made the colours
Of stars
Of blue

As each one leapt
The colours revealed
All secrets kept
In a star
That climbed in to the sky

I wished that you could see
All the stars
In the universe
Made magically

The sense of wonder
In a universe
Belonging to you
The colours begin
Of blue

Across the night sky
Stars fell
Pulling worlds in their wake
I fell through
Like a star
Made to fly

A velvet sky
Filled with stars
You found your way
So did I
In a Heartstone sky

Faeries flew
Trees , whispered
In the night
Of a Heartstone sky

Such wistfulness
In the deepest of nights
The magic
Of stars
That fell
Without a sound

In a Heartstone sky
I dreamed
Of you and I

The sea closed over
This is the way
For, the sea claims it's dead
In a world of shades of grey
I looked forward to a world
In which
Words cannot say
The meanings of things
What I felt today
I cannot see sky
For, the sea closed over me
Its' stygian darkness
I cannot breathe
I cannot flee
The sea closed over
This is the way
It claims its' dead
What I felt today

The places I have seen
No one can know
Such sights I have seen
Pretty fields below

All on wings of gold
Far above the earth
In the blue
For here...
I am king

Sweeping clouds
Billowing white,
Hiding tomorrows' Moon,
in golden light

For, where there is gold light,
there can be silver too
Precious colours,
that can be seen through the night

Dusk fell, swiftly
The emerging night,
changed all...
In to silver light

Tomorrows' Moon,
shone steady and bright
Silver lantern light,
lit up the night

Yesterdays' Moon faded away,
when night became another day
The day will end soon...
and we will have tomorrow's Moon

When the world began
The Earthen King
Stood by
For the Fire King
To bring to the surface
All the rock
For, it had the making
Of continents

An artist created
All these living things
The beautiful trees
Beneath a golden sun
For, when the earth cooled
The Kings of Water and Air
Let it live and breathe

The colours too
Of flowers
Of orchids
Of trees
Of skies of blue

Such beauty
To make you weep
In joy
For, so many things made
In imagination

To fill a world
With trees
With magic
With love
That only a king
Can know
That it meant....

Nobody has to know
whatever happened between us
that made us glow;
let this remain something of a secret,
this man knows where it lies...
hidden from others, not from us!
And you woman, keep it inside
as long as you's as deep as pride!

Erase my number from your cell phone,
not let him see it...
don't make him suspect
that I even exist in reality:
make it look like a shadow passing...
leaving no traces along;
when I take what's not mine...I feel so guilty,
but it won't stop me from taking!

Let this remain something of a secret,
let's it confide it to a moon that's so scarlet;
a silent moon who hears the lovers' whispers...
and turns them into real, sweet whishes!

Let's die for a moment's bliss,
deny our reality and hysterically laugh;
this is not cheating on somebody
who didn't finish what he started off...
we're free and need not to worry,
and if there's a price to pay: we will!

We're not kids who are kept from indulgence,
we are responsible for our own tendencies...
challenging those who oppose us with rage,
changing what others can barely change...
to let this remain something of a secret!

I flew, like a bird
On winds,light warm
Joy in my heart
Fields of rippling green
A sky so blue
It seemed to go on for ever
Crossing villages and streams
Chasing the sun
I flew, like a bird
On the strength of my dreams
Such beauty
Above and below
On a day, like no other
I flew, like a bird
Wings aglow
Fresh and new
Let me through
As I flew like a bird
in to the blue

Dark stones...........
Painted in dusky dark
Deepening hues
Deepening views

Dusky gold
Dusky dark
Dusky stone..........
We are not alone

Dusky stones,
gather on the shore
Dusky rock,
beginning to flock

Dark stones on a dark sea
Flocking on the shore
The colour night,
is what they wore,
or so it seemed to me

The quiet rippling,
of the dusky sea
Gold stippling,
of dusky sky
Would you agree?
This belongs to you and I?

This dark wet glistening
Quiet ripple of sea
Rock listening
This might be.........
You or me
Set on a dusky sea

Dusky rock,
beginning to flock
Dusky sky
Dusky gold,
passing by

For you and I,
are a dusky stone
For we are not alone
under gold dusky sky

As night became day
Stars dimmed ,
then faded away
The sea, tinged with white spray
Welcomed the dawn sky
The red in the east
Brought in the beginning,
of a stormy day
The wind rose
Storm clouds gathered on the horizon
The suns' hazy glow
Lost in grey tumbling clouds
A ships' gleaming wetness shone
The waves grew higher
The wind tore through
A ships captain, on the deck
Such beautiful nature too
The suns' hazy glow
Could be seen
Scudding clouds
Roaring wind
Gunmetal sea
Rising so
Running before the wind
The ship ploughed on
Masts and spars whistling
Such gleaming wetness
Felt upon your face
The exhilaration!
The running race
The sums' hazy glow
Of a wind roaring
The spray on your face
White capped gunmetal sea
Pushing relentlessly
A wooden ship
Gleaming wet
On its' course
Riding the storms' force

Deep meaning
I cannot say
Deep streaming
Showing me..
My way

The four winds
I saw in my dream
Showing me..
My way

An outstretched hand
Passing by
Invisible in a blue sky

Tumbling over and over
Passing by,
caught me
Threw me up high

Where do you go?
I cannot say
Showing me..
My way

A grain of sand,
passing by
An outstretched hand
Threw me up high

I cannot always dream
I cannot say
Show me...
My way

In the Heart of Sol

Oh, the mists on the tops of hills sleep
as if cast into skies as gray spells
and the color of magic now seeps
from the breast of the tall earthen swells.

Here the bright eye of Sol shall appear
as he dawns from the Eastern-most sky
with his chariot drawing so near
he makes blue bells forget they are shy.

Oh, his touch tickles reddest rose hips
whilst he winks at the lily so fair
and a kiss on the sweet peas soft lips
all begotten inside his gold stare.

Oh, he chases the chill from the morn
though he's aching beyond all compare.
Oh, his sad heart awaits so forlorn
as he dances in joy on my hair.

Oh, he saves all his best 'till the last
when the twilight unveils the pale moon
and he sighs as he sees her float past
and her beauty and grace make him swoon.

Oh, he waits and he waits to see when
the conditions are all about right
and together they will be again
when she kisses away the daylight.

Oh, he waits for a chance to embrace;
the affair that has been there between
Oh, the mists try to shield his rapt face
and conceal moments he's rarely seen.

Oh, she shines in his heart when it's dim
and she lights possibilities way
and he knows she will dance there with him
if he only awaits that grand day.

The majesty
Of Kings
Who created
Through elements
All beautiful things

From such beginnings
From the King of Fire
A Heartstone
From the Earthen King
Flowers and trees
From the Water King
All manner of swimming things
From the King of Air
Feathers and light
For they all came together
In a world
Of magic

The Kings of Heartstone
Did bring
A world
Meant for me
For you
Filled with treasure
That lies in the hearts
Of those who love
For magic exists
For all to see

Who believed
In a Heartstone
Within them
Believed in you
You must see
The treasures that lie
In the hearts of you and I

Such treasures
Are the elements
Of you
They have always lain
Waiting to be discovered too

look, listen, and let be.

created to be satiated having your dreams decapitated not what you anticipated? your
life...castrated now left to die to be recreated,
in motion you thought you were the chosen while others believed you soul was frozen lying
deep in the ocean with your eyes never open,
all the frustration temptation lack of motivation has you missing the sensation of life's
creation while interpreting the wrong information,
years have passed and time is gone you hang your head wondering what went wrong while you
sing your sad country song,
this isn't what you seen this life how could it be so mean taking you and crushing your
dream now you see reality ,
it wasn't about the fortune and fame, or how far you get in the game, now to sit and blame
all the others when it was you who used your name,
no one forced you at all it was you who made the call now your left to crawl because you
never realized this is life's ball and the objective is for you to fall,
so as you sit and hang your head crying wondering what she said, but you didn't listen you
walked away instead leaving love in bed,
remember you were the one, the strong man with the gun having your fun while true love
faded in the sun,
you were right it was all about the fight as you stepped into the light and pushed with
all your might you thought you were such a site,
look around your not the only one in this town we all fall to the ground it was you who
thought we were clowns as you joked and we frowned,
the eyes you see are eyes that set the world free, the ones that seen you try to prove
your theory as they took a knee and let it be,
your story is heard world wide, nothing new just a grown man left to cry, now that we have
your attention here's why,
life in front of you is on loan, not yours to waist on the phone or sit on a thrown not
listing to others grown,
take time to breath, listen to the sounds in the trees as I let you be you and you let me
be me the way it's meant to be,
find your life, find true love in a wife, make what's wrong right keep yours in site while
the stars fill the night ,
your fortune is love, your fame are blessings from above happiness is deserving of, and
your time should fit like a clove.
your dream is right there in front of you, open your eyes to a new find the ski of blue
know what is true.... and enjoy the view.

What will become of me?
I am still learning.......
More about the inner me......

The sparkling blue..........
So far and wide too
I can find me...............
In this deep blue sea

You are never alone.........
On the sparkling blue
Where so many have flown
Your journey, begins too

Eagles soared high
to the Princes' Four Winds
Golden eyes, keen
Above in the blue

A passing cloud,
snowy white
On a sea of blue
Could this be the one
Could this be what they were looking for?

Swooping down
Through cloud, so white
Made golden wings, bright
brighter than a Kings' Crown

Bursting through
in to air, so sweet
Filled with scent
An island! , Found too!

This one could only be seen
by the chosen few..
Eagles, have magic too

Deep forests,
rising through valleys
The eagles,
Mountain high
Bays too
For, ships must dock
On an island,
Hidden in the ocean blue

Onwards , they sped
Faeries, sense things
For, they know
Good news will always travel ahead

A sense of excitement,
coursed through..
Waiting for eagles
Wanting their news
Seeing their views

One by one,
they dropped down
Wings , burnished by golden sun
Their mission, done

The Kings, gathered
Queens and Princesses
Princes too
For ,on this day..
For me!
For you!

The Eagles had not failed
Sweet land
A place to build
Wooden ships willed
Wooden ships sailed

A journey across the sea
A discovery...
A Heartstone, in a place
for you and for me

The lenght of the sky
 has no limit;
allow me
to take you
to the infinite...
to the endless blue!

Soon after the gleams
of the awaited dawn,
I wake up and find you near me;
my hands touch you softly
with gentleness...
such morning should be
the happiest one
for anyone without sin,
and eases his mind
by calling forth
pleasing thoughts
and wouldn't lose touch
of seeing them come around...
without hearing a sound!

The lenght of the sky
 has no limit;
allow me
to take you
to the infinite...
to the endless blue!

Soon after the present tore apart
the past now bygone,
delightful days and warm nights
wait for eager to know again
the pleasant satisfaction
and feel again the lost happiness!

The lenght of the sky
has no limit;
allow me
to take you
to the infinite...
to the endless blue!

Let's spend a minute
in contemplation;
let's not test
His greatness,
because, in our observation,
we may find ourselves speechless...
facing the mysterious sky
that can't keep secrets from us!

The lenght of the sky
 has no limit;
allow me
to take you
to the infinite...
to the endless blue!

A World To Ponder

As I lay, the world around me alive yet hushed, time rests still to let the mind
catch up with it. A night sky with one sea of clouds and the sun reflecting
monsters created by accident lays still. While these beautiful monsters, in their
size, kill the grass they stand on, their beauty takes away breath from all living
things. Soon the sun will cease to shine on the melancholy above us. The waters
will recede back into the horizon as the sun wakes up to shine on flowers
abroad ‘till it is bored of sitting in these flowers and goes off to explore all the
other wondrous designs once shown in Eden upon soft pedals of gentle, yet
plagued life.
Songs of sorrow come from the ones left in the presence of one
mightier than the sun until the beautiful monster comes again with his deadly
Watching, wandering, and wondering, the sun asks, “How is this death so
glorified. Do none wish to grow, or do they confuse north and south?”

The fish calm, the waves roar to the horizon in understanding. As this reality
becomes my fantasy-I live in this world that men before me have created.

The Prince of the North
Carried the gem
Through Whispering Trees
To the castle
Passing through Knights and men
From his hand...
A Shadowfires' wondrous light
For love will always win
In the battle between day and night
Across the walled garden
Flowers began to glow...
The Prince of the North
Strode forth...
To the Great Hall
The Shadowfire...
Gave off beams of lilac and blue light
The love inside
Conquered the wraiths bitter night
The Great Hall door
Silently swung open
Faeries danced
The colour bright
The Heartstone,shone
the Dreamstone,gleamed
The battle, won
Under a Heartstone moon
The Aurora Borealis flickered
Faerie light shone
Golden bright
No light could compare
To a Shadowfire
A castle...
Bathed in beautiful light
The passing of the Ice King...
On a wraiths' bitter night
Lilac and blue
Filled your heart
Love too
These things cannot be taken
Only given
If you let your heart awaken
A Shadowfire...
That lies in your heart
The colour known only to you
Will love you too

Through my capped hands
Jewelled feathers, silent and still,
in the forest lands

You cannot hear footfalls,
in the forest
Buried in the rustle of the night
Night calls

I lie awake...
Waiting for you
You cannot hear a footfall,
in the forest

I felt your beating heart,
through my body
Jewelled eyes, bright
In the forest of the night

You cannot hear a footfall,
in the forest of the night
I hear your beating heart
jewelled eyes, burning bright

My body can hear...
Your heart beating
In the forest of the night
The moon...
glowing in glorious light

In the forest ,
footfall in the night
Wildly beating heart
Eyes, jewelled and bright
Coming to me

The growing of a boy
To a man
Steps learned
The passage of journeys
Of the heart
Of the mind
Of the trees

There can only be
One Earth King
Love can never die
He lives
For, he is part of everything

His crown
Now decorated with leaves
From an Autumn Queen
For a boy born in Autumn
Became a man
Became a king
Became everything

The Whispering trees
Sent a leaf
For a new King to wear
For a King crowned
Upon his knees
The responsibility to bear
Of Heartstone

The new King stood up
Proud and tall
With Autumn leaves in his crown
The gathering of the Elements
The Seasons
The Winds
Celebrated in the Great Hall

Faeries , flew
Trees, whispered again
A beginning
Something new
For a king
A beginning
To a new reign

The Heartstone glowed
For a King
Who stood tall
An Autumn boy
The joy
The love
Brought in to a hall

A sense of sadness
For the passing
Of an Earthen King
His face
His stories
Now on the Tapestry of Magic
That hung in the Great Hall

His love
For everything
The Learning of the Wise Ways
His humility
Is what makes a great King

The leaf
Given by the Whispering Trees
Upon his cloak of forest bark and leaves
He kissed it,
and believed

A sense of joy
For an Autumn King
The tears that ran down his face
Were tears of sweet gentle rain
For a boy
A new beginning
Born in autumn
Became a man
Became a King

Long ago..........
In a far off time.........
When trees could move
and trees could whisper..............

The King of Earth.........
Did bestow on the trees
A life of their own..........
The seeds sown

For the King of Earth did ask...
The Whispering Trees
a certain task........
Hide the Castle
Trees, to grow mighty and tall
Hide the Heartstone
That resides in the great hall

Trees, dense
trees, green
Heartstones' defence
The Castle ,not to be seen

For, not a branch broke
that a tree spoke
The shade ,cast
The trees, seeing all who passed

These mighty living things,
in which birds sing
The magic that rules us all
The Heartstone in the Great Hall

For, all things are alive
For ,all things have feelings
The trees
The beautiful trees
What they invoke
The words they spoke

The King of Earth
created the Whispering Trees
for hence.........
The mighty Oaks,Firs and Beeches
the Castle defence

The rustle of leaves..............
Is the whisper of trees
The paths woven through
The forest knows too

The Heartstone reaches all.........
The Whispering Trees
the rustle of leaves
the magic in the trees,so tall

Black shadows passed through trees
Passed through stone walls
Crept up galleries and halls
A gem to take
A gem to seize
The Shadowfire
For, the gem does possess,
strength and conscience
These are the things the Ice King desires
A stolen heart
held in the cold hand of the Ice King
Will make him strong again
To kill and maim
Revenge for all that were slain
A heart must be given freely
You cannot steal these things
For then....
They have no love
No meanings
The Wraiths gathered up the Shadowfire
In the depths of winter
In the bitterest cold
A gem to restore strength
To make them bold
Slipping through the lock and hasp
The Shadowfire carried away
To the Ice king
Whose cold bony hands waited,
for the time that the gem...
Would be in his grasp
Screeching and wailing triumphantly
The Shadowfire was placed in the Kings' hand
Now he had the strength to take
and conquer all in this land
A battle to commence
Destroy all
Through a stolen heart
Taken from the Great Hall

Heartstone Eagles
Recounted the tales
Of the battles with the Wraiths
and their piercing screeching wails

When Eagles fell...
In to the Wraiths' hell
Blackened and burned
Such brave sacrifices , learned

The wind blew
Bitter and cold
Eagles took to the air
To find the evil
The coming darkness too

Down below
With ripped and tattered cloaks
Poisoning the earth
With rancorous soaks

Eagles , up high
Swooped down
Feathers of gold
Gleaming in the sun
The battle ahead, begun
To take the Heartstone crowns

With talons drawn
They ripped through
So many Wraiths
Never enough Eagles
To conquer the evil
Of tattered cloaks,
burned and torn

Eagles, fell
Flashes of fire
Eagles , gone forever
In to the Wraiths' hell

It is in an Eagles' sorrow
That so many were lost
That the Heartstone Gem
The light to follow
Banished the bitter frost

In the midst of such pain
All those years ago
A new eyrie was built
Close to the Great Hall
To remember
Those fallen Eagles
Whose lives , spilt
Who will live again
In the hearts of all

I looked out from the nest
Sun filtered through
Leaves of richest green
A perfect day too
To put my wings to the test

A perfect blue sky
Could be seen
Amongst leaves of richest green
A time to fly

For weeks now
I waited patiently
As down grew
In to flying feathers
That would take me up
In to the blue
From my tree

The first step
The first flight
Is the hardest
Courage too
For, it is needed
To fly
In to the blue

I am not an eagle
Yet, I will fly like one
To leave the nest
In to the blue
In to the sun

I stood on the edge
Looked upwards to the sky
On my first flight
This was my time
My test
For, I must fly

I leapt off
In to the unknown
Wings beating furiously
I climbed skyward
I could not believe
That this was me

I am not eagle
Yet, I will fly like one
I have left the nest
I live in the blue
With wings of sun

memories of hot days cool kisses and the one who took your breath away,
no more out of town trips , sleep overs, camp, swimming all day at the lake, or at the
pool or walks on the beach shore,
look over there, here comes cold nights, rainy days, never warm enough family and all the
winter holidays,
look to the west one last time as the sun sets,
can you hear the summers rhyme
smile.... like all the others, this summer was the best,
now look to the east, listen here comes winter time.

When I turned
The world turned with me
How can a sky
Be so blue?
Above the sea
When all I could do
Was fly
To you

So many miles
Across a sky
In golden light
A sun
Wreathed in smiles
Took my flight

When I turned
The world turned with me
I looked for you
Above the sea
In golden light
Found you too

Looking for me
Across the great expanse of sea
Two gulls
Flying free
You wanted this
Almost as much as me

Who found who?
We cannot know
It is hidden in miles
Of sea
Of golden light
Does it matter?
Certainly not to me!

A beautiful tree
It faced the sun
Every day
New leaves revealed
Such magic
Has begun

I watched it grow
Over the years
I talked with it too
Just like a son
That I had come to know

Strong and true
It grew
And grew
Such beautiful branches and leaves
Every season
A new colour
I loved it too

A tree
That I knew
Had a heart
Of that I am sure
For that tree
Loved me

It whispered to me
In a language
Only I could know
For the tree
Knew me so

When I was a boy
The tree was young too
We grew together
Watching storms
Rain passing
The seasons too

I lived my life
With my tree
I became old
The tree
Grew and grew

Before I was too old
I took my last walk
Down to my tree
To say a few words
To a member of my family

The last good bye
To my tree
I accepted with a sigh
My own frailty

Tears can shed upon
The bark
Of my tree
I will not last the winter
Or see another spring sun

In that coming winter
The only thing I could see
Was from a castle window
All I asked for
Was to be buried
My tree

Hot thermal envelopes me ,
pushing me higher
Shards of light
splinter over my wings

Dusty haze
Earthy smell

Temperature dropping ,as I climb higher
Sky darkens
Pure sweet air
Pure sweet sunlight

Wind buffets my body
I turn in to the light

Blazing golden light ,
far on the horizon

Sun setting in blur of dust
Sky,fresh and clear

Me,released from earthly ties
The gentle dying sun
Its' outstretched hand covering me ,
with soft red and golden light

Changing me

Sky darkening, I must descend
My flight is finishing ,
ending in fading light

In to the dust ,
leaving my kingdom,my place

Sadness at end of light
Darkness falls, I am earth bound
for a time ...

I wait patiently for dawn ...
dawns fresh glow ,
to warm my cold stiff wings

Breathe its life in to me
Pouring its liquid gold in to me
Giving me instinct to to climb ,
to that sun

To fly in such bright wondrous light
Light holding me to its breast

A sparkling golden jewel ,
flashing its fire in to my eyes
as I leave this dusty earth
and pursue rarified air and clear light

In uninterrupted flight

I stopped by the river...
Gently flowing past,
such cool water,
slaked my thirst

I feel the waters pull on my hand
secret chuckle flowing by
Water, so clear
you can see the river sand

I picked up some river sand
let it slowly trickle through my hand
Am I grain of sand?
Tumbling in water,
so clear,
throughout this verdant land

Where is my place?
Where am I meant to be?
Gently flowing past
Part of this river,
becoming me

Sweet waters,
so clear
In its' depths
I am meant to be

I stopped by the river...
Or did the river stop me?
I may never know,
for in its' depths,
a grain of sand
is what you see
what i show

Swathes of weeping willow
on the river...
Cast a shadow,
soft green glow
in water
so clear

A grain of sand,
in the clear waters
of the river
becomes me
in this beautiful land

Everyone has to learn...
To be a gull
One day...
It will be your turn

In a sky...
Perfect too
Upwards I flew....
To meet you

For, in us all
Is a Jonathan Livingston
Bursting through
Gulls flight...
In me and in you

It is the spirit that takes us all...
Reaching new heights
New skies
New flights

We all dream
Some chose to be....
Gulls on the sea
This is me....

As I sit, watching the going down of the sun
The gulls swoop and turn
I savour the thought
Can I become....
One of those...
Who fly until the day is done

One day....
I will come as a gull
Fly over the sea
Swoop and turn with glee
What it is to be free
One day it will be

Is the sky today
Not in my heart
Such beating rain,
cannot stay

In a world without you
the sky is grey
The falling rain,
beating too

I did not see you,
on this grey day
When I needed you most
I missed you too

I missed you too
A grey lonely sky,
When I needed the colour most
When I needed you

The sun broke through,
banished the grey
I kissed the colour
Here with you

When the world came together
Earth,Fire,Air and Water
They became Kings
Rocks formed
In a maelstrom,
of elements
Four Kings
Began the magic
Fire pushed the rock to the surface
Water cooled it
The Earth formed it
The air made it all breathe
The deafening roar of sound
As the Kings created
Beautiful things
The crackle of flame
Hiss of steam
The grinding of rock
The force of wind
Upon a sea of molten rock
The crackle of hiss
Of continents
The elements
The magic
In a world
That kings
Created beautiful,
and wonderful things
The beginning
For, amongst the molten rock
Gems were made
One of which
To be discovered
Deep in a mountain
When the earth cooled
Such wondrous colours
Were displayed
The kings,
Shaped and carved
The kingdom
The Fire King could cleanse
The Earth King, heal
The Water King ,to give life
The King of Air , made all things breathe

A new beginning opening up. The buttercup,
The daffodil, the song bird's trill. Like being
Young again the bursting forth with the new
Without a thought of rembmebering. Recalling
Not the toil and strife of winter's blight, but,
Wallowing in the joyous birth as we seek to
Bathe ourselves in it as if it never was before.

Old winter left his mark - a blow. The pounding
Of the wind and drifting snow. Dreariness is In
Our Thanks and makes its way into our soul.
Lest we complain, we strive again to make our
Way to something sweet, a fond retreat into
The mind of fresh and new.

Dreaming of a summer's day. A trip to some
delicious beach with sparkling water in our
reach and running sand between our tows.
And, so it goes till spring is here and nature
plays her symphony of life again.

Dappled light streams,
filtered through
Shaded green,
mossy rock gleams

Such light pooled below..
Strange flutterings,
I heard so,
in summer trees

Deepest,richest green,
filled my heart
Summer trees
Where have you been?
Lost on a soft breeze

Tall and strong
The giants of the earth
They cannot walk
Here they belong

Summer trees,
caressed the ground
Deepest, richest green
Nature's colour frieze
In it, I breathed
in it, I drowned

IT WAS 1969

In a starlit sky,
a beautiful moon rose
I watched it pass by

I looked upon the earth
and saw green and blue

Frosted clouds of white
Forests stretched far,
behind the night

In the minds' eye
such vividness
belongs to you and I

Where was i?
Far way
High in the sky

It was 1969
We came back from the moon,
everything I could see...
Was all mine

The wind fell away
Clouds broke
By evening
The suns' hazy glow
Changed the light
The ending of the day
The first star shone
On a horizon
Tinged with red and gold
It shone bright
With a soft silver light
The deepening blue
Replaced a red sky
The coming of the night
A star in the west
To follow
Until landfall
A wooden ship to find
All the things that lie
In a shadowfire heart
A wooden ship to carry
The heartstone gem
From the world of men
Tapestries too
The treasures that lie
In your heart
On a ship
On a course
Plotted on a captains' chart

What am I?
On a sea of blue
Mixtures of stardust
Earthen rust
and honey dew
Clouds rising in a dark sky
Fly , if you must
One time before you die
Turning into stardust
Earthen rust
and honeydew
I can live forever...
On wings above
On stardust
On your love

The Spider

a spider can descend on you
at any any place...
on your foot...or in your face...
it could be clean...or dirty...
but in any case...
life could be good...
or a poorly run race...
it doesn't really matter
dressed in rags
or dressed in lace
the spider can come,
and in that case...
you might have sprayed....
around with Insect-Mace...
you might have smashed him
with a quick enough pace...
but even in your bed,
your very special place
clean and warm...
and full of cozy grace...
if spider comes...and
he's of a race...
rancid with spider poison
and lack of concern
about you and your case
your a_s is gonna be kicked
into a nasty place...
you'll wish your enemy...
would, instead..
be the one who'd have it to face...
now Sunday choir
now streams of religious grace...
now crying mourners moans...
tears run down their face...
church pipe organ groans so sadly
no time for sense to chase...
fate has struck,
once more...
and shown its unkind face...
your fate was truely sealed
and the spider's won this race.

I reached out,
to touch the sun
Gold and red
Down it dipped,
night came

The night sky
brought forth its' stars
Planets too
darkening rush,
the day slipped by

I lifted high
Followed the wind
Followed the moon,
in to the starlit sky

This blue Earth...
At night...
Leaving a trail of stars
The planets emerging light

Martian red
Venus, jewel bright
What I came to see..
in all its' majesty

Mighty Jupiter
Chemical storms , seething
Swirling below
How it burned,
in a night sky
The Jovian light returned

The suns' radiance
felt upon my face
in deepest coldest space
Yet I sense...
Jupiter, rising

Swirls of light
Enveloped the sails
On a quiet starlit night
Faerie light flickered brightly
Upon a ship filled with treasure and magic
The sweet kiss of the sea
A ship from the Whispering Trees
Made with skill
Made with love
Sailed forward in the night breeze
Smooth polished wood laid
Carved by the Earthen King
Sails made by the Queens
A beautiful thing was made
A ship borne from a tree
A ship that became alive
The minute it touched the sea
It is in the purpose of things
What magic has made
To come alive
From a Whispering Tree glade
A ship upon the sea of the night
Sails filled with Faerie light
You imagined the world
A ship upon the sea
Sails unfurled
A ship carrying you
Carrying me

On a night
Filled with stars
To find my way
Through soft earthly light
To touch
Star bright

To fly free
On a night
Filled with stars
For eternity

I if could only release
The inner me
To find my way
To the stars
Feel celestial peace

Somethings are only difficult
When they can be
Only I can
Find my way to the stars

I want to take you
With me
Share too
Love with starlight
On my way to the stars

Passing planets
Galaxies of stars
The secret glow
Of Mars
All this to see
With you
With me

On a night
Filled with stars
Earthly light
You came with me
On my way
To the stars

The colours of a sunset
Ran through my heart
Orange,gold and red
Shades of indigo
Became a midnight blue
The glorious night
The moon glow
Shaped white clouds,
in to silver streams
The colours of the night
Ran through my heart
Silver and midnight blue
A blush in the east
As stars fade
Different colours returned
The shades of the heart
These things I learned
