Amassed bulging clouds Dashing enmity fusion, generously hovering In jellylike kneaded layaway Mysterious noir over Prairies quietly resting Suddenly trapped under Vicious wind’s X rated Yelling zeal. CarolineCecile - 10.15.12

i wittnessed a war just yesterday,
being the reason for much dismay,
i'm sorry for all the death and blood,
and all the soldiers in the mud,
i wish i could stop it just can't be done,
i'll need everybody including a nun,
i'll need jesus to forgive our sins,
that knock us down like bowling pins,
i'll need everybody to read this poem,
in hopes that all the soldiers get back home.

Afghan Glory

A poem by John Nesbitt © 22.11.2013

I was eighteen years old and wanting to fight
I found what I looked for, in bars late at night
I took on the big guys, the small ones as well
They were all tough, as far as I could tell
As a jobless young man, proud of my country
I joined up with the army and trained how not to be
They told me I’d fight to keep us all free
So that we’d never have to bend the knee
They trained me in weapons, unarmed combat too
The use of explosives and what they could do
And how to take cover behind rocks and trees
They taught me to find bombs and those I E D’s
So step up to the plate boys, start waving the flag
We’ll be all draped with medals when it’s all in the bag
Think of the glory, this conflict will bring
A few months away, then we can all sing
On my very first mission, I was told to unwind
I took lead position, when searching for mines
The blast threw me up twenty feet in the air
I couldn’t feel my feet for they were no longer there
My right arm was shattered my left fingers gone
I once had two ears but now only one
 I thought I was dying, I couldn’t hear a thing
I wasn’t thinking of the medals or being dressed up with bling
Now all I can do is sit here on the floor
and wonder what it all had been for
my comrades call around from time to time
I can see their discomfort when they’re thinking of mine
They wouldn’t trade places, no matter what for
They each have their memories, of that terrible war
My fighting days over, no more blood and guts
So I’ll settle right down in my terrible rut
I stepped up to the plate boys and I waved the flag
But I’m not draped in medals and it’s not in the bag
I thought of the glory the conflict would bring
No legs, no fingers and in no mood to sing
Things soon will be over in Afghanistan
Talks are on-going with the Taliban
We struggled against them for thirteen hard years
But all we produced was billions of tears
Fathers lost sons and Mothers lost child
business got rich, there were deals on the side
Where’s the next country they’ll start a new war

 Let’s hope….. it’s…. not ….yours

What’s in a name?
That which we call a rose by any other name, would still smell as sweet.
When life is like a roller coaster in a maze.
Competition here and there,
When really, all we need is care.
A preconceived idea of what it all meant,
Sisypheanial love for more wealth,
Whereas, all it does is eat away our health.
Bunch of stereotypes all in my head.
Fearing all and what we don’t know.
I don’t know,
But I just can’t change.
The times we become so numb to what we’re saying.
Ain’t we meant to speak the same language daily?
Nah, it’s an era founded from oppression.
A world rooted in hate, yet we all ignore this,
The same hate that caused wars from religion,
Even gender to skin colour,
Not to talk of ethnicity too.
And then we talk about freedom.
What is really free?
A world where we pay for even our breath,
A free gift of nature to man,
Remember the bill for water?
Its human right for everyone.
Really, who is fooling who?
On Sabbath, I was taught something else,
And when you preach hate, those words ain’t anointed.
And then I sit still and remember eternity.
When else is more comfortable remaining voiceless.
No freedom till we are all equal,
We preach progress with the veil over our eyes
We turn our back on the cause.
Till the day we can be united by love and not by law,
That day, we have changed “US”
Whatever God you believe in,
The fact remains, we come from the same one.
I’m crying no more,
Cause one day, we’ll all be gone.

 We are all chess pieces,
in this game we call life,
only trying to move forward,
through all the strife,
jumping on those,
who get in our way,
only pushing forward,
as we play,
be number #1,
we've always been told,
even as our hearts,
grow weary and cold.

World of Letters

Alphabet amazes me
Being 26 characters long
Creating adventures
Deciding the fate of heroes
Eyes reading stories of the past
Forgetting the truth behind words
Gatsby telling lies
Hamlet’s revenge
I can even create a world
Just for me to live in with
Kool-Aid flavored oceans
Lemon filled trees
My own tiny universe
Nothing but the alphabet weaves it
Only I can explore, unless invited
People in my world are twisted
Quieted they stay
Rebelling against authority
Saying only they’re allowed to fight
Tomorrow will be different
Umbrellas will be sent into the air
Vanilla ice cream flowing in rivers
When I come to end the world
X-rays will be sent
You will see
Zero people left in the world of letters.

Before I was a foetus
The world was at war
Our forefathers forced to fight
For it was all irresistible

Now I have grown
And I’m dragged to a fight I did not ignite
A war which I do not know if it will end
In the front line we fear for our lives

Gone through hills and mountains
The soles in our boots ran out
Food and water were all we needed
A journey we never prepared for

The smell of gun powder fills the air
Empty gun shells carpet the ground
War vehicles smoking and left to rot
The battle have seized

Waking to the sound of gun shots we tremble in fear
Day and night we do not know the difference
For the enemy does not rest
But my enemy is a man like me

How many deaths must we suffer?
How many forests must we bring down?
How many generations must pay for our forefather’s faults?
How long can our race really endure this suffering?

O'er me your sensitivity crust,
Hast no fiery showing undoubted rust,
Without mercy thou showed blast.

Intensity corrupted thru's silence dart,

Gushing of icy fluid covered thou's heart,

Away!Thou not stand kinswomen o'er here,
Away!Thy not welcome ungrateful bear,
For kindred heart rules thy's sorority's life,
Thou turbulent of anger should not lived but die!

I Can't Believe It's Really Over This Time

I really hate this feeling, sometimes I wish I could stop breathing. I don't wanna try, just leave me here to die. You were the thing that made my life living for, but your no longer mine anymore. I feel so much pain, sometimes I believe I'm going insane. I'm missing what we had, although it was bad. I'm always walking down memory lane, why can't you see my pain? I know people change, &&' things get strange. I guess I gotta face it, she's my new replacment. I can't believe it's really over this time, I feel as if i have commited a crime. I live in a world of sorrow, so I don't ever worry about tomorrow. I didn't even have time to cry, because i had already said bye. I feel like I'm digging a deeper whole, so I'm hoping Jesus will take control. I'm sorry for my dumb mistake, but baby now I'm wide awake.

desta merda
merda desta vida
quero morrer
porque não sou ninguém
nunca fui
e já mais serei alguém
estou farto
raios partam
quero morrer

a Jamba a sorrir

pela paz

Take your hand and put it out forward,
Than swing out out to the side, c'mon don't be a coward.
This is fun, now swing your hips from side to side,
Remember all the times you couldnt express yourself and you cried.

But now your can swing your legs and feet any way you want,
Look for that new move that you looked for your whole life like a hunt.
Grab someone by the hand and let them join you in that awesome moment,
I promise you, you will love this feeling you are about to feel.

Turn up the music and dance your heart out,
Move to the beat and go wild and feel like your out of sight.
This is your moment, don't let anyone take that away for you,
This is not happening too slow and i tell you that that's the truth.

Put some head phones on and go to your own world of greatness,
Bust a move like you never did before, I promise it's harmless.
Make your heart feel what I am feling right now and take my hand,
I promise that I will make you smile and scream with joy and stand.

Street Soldier

My baseball cap is my helmet and my Nike's are my boots,
My country is my hood and my colors on my flag are niether red white or blue,
My weapon of choice is my two hands,
sometimes it can be whatever when I am threatened with a great fall from my stand,
I have no general or soldiers but I have family and above all I got heart.
My battlegrounds remain in my own home and sometimes even in the local Wal-Mart.
Every inch of my hood is up for friendly fire,
Violence remains apart of life around here searching for peace is far from desire,
Everyday remains but another day someone will die,
but more importantly is that another mother, brother, sister or father will cry.
But I am a street soldier so I am prepared for anothers or worse yet my own demise,
And as a street soldier I must keep the battle in check, no not with what I see with my two eyes, but what war is really going on inside the mind,
My battles dont come from without but from within......I am a street soldier fighting through time.....

As war is fought it takes charge
And events spin out of control.
The madness of men can alter the soil
Which nourishes the roots of their soul.

Many things will forever change
Far more then wished to be.
As the wrath of war starts to destroy
Those things we fight to keep free.

War is the greatest plague of man,
Religion, state and sanity.
Any scourge is more preferred
Than the one which disables humanity.

When war breaks out, boundaries change
And all who die are a token
Of the rage that must run it's course
Before words of peace are spoken.

War I hate, though not men, flags nor race
But war itself with its ugly face.
When we lose faith in the brave, which die
Then we're not fit to greet those who cry.

What distinguishes war isn't death
But that man is slain by fellow man.
Crushed by cruelty and injustice
With his enemy's murderous hand.

War tends to punish the punishers
So the losers won't suffer alone.
The essence of war is but violence
Till the survivors come marching home.

Sometimes it's hard to defend what's right,
Sometimes we're forced to rise up and fight.
Sometimes we survive, while others must die
Sometimes never knowing the reason why.

The rush of combat is a natural buzz
Caused by fear, leaving nothing as it was.
Hunting one another like wild game
Without a shortage of those to blame.

Sometimes victory comes too slow or quick
Sometimes the cost on both sides is sick.
Sometimes God is asked to intervene
To help stop the savage from being so mean.

War is a hell we visit before death
Fueled by the whisper of the devil's breath.
There must be a reason man destroys man
But why it is so, I can't understand.

Test of nuclear weapon

No need to use curare in today's fight
Magton or nuclear weapon is enough to take lives away from world's sight
For them, it is only a test of bombs or nuclear weapon
But innocent lives taste the taste of death

Their culmination of exploitation is for wealth or popularity
By all these they do not feel culpable, but they have stupidity
They debar themselves away from the effects of nuclear test
Nuclear explosion of test makes the environment worst
Only test is disturbing so much ecosystem and human life
So just imagine what would be the future with nuclear drive
God knows how much budget is spent in nuclear research
While many are dying with starvation and poor health care for life search

Radioactive materials are used in bombs and nuclear weapon production
Radiation is emitted in the process of production
God knows what would be the consequences of these calamities
Are these loyal to common life or infidelities?
It is said that weapons are made for human safety
but what is the use of such safety which makes the world gusty

The Shamrock

Away across the sea I found a Shamrock,
She was as pretty as the golden sun in Kent.
I knew I should not touch this lovely Shamrock,
But I knew her charm would hunt me if I went.
I reached out and held the little Shamrock,
The wind kept tugging just as if to say
Please don't take this flower out of England.
Leave if you wish but let the Shamrock stay.
The charm of Ireland seemed to glow and prosper,
and everything was pure as pure could be.
Happiness was ours and soon another,
Just as long as we stayed near the Irish Sea.
The Shamrock flourished fine in dear old Ireland,
where sunrise drives the mist in Dingle Bay
and Shamrocks get along beside the channel,
on even by the Mersey so they say.
To take a Shamrock far from home brings trouble,
and lucky as this charm could ever be.
It soon began to wilt and louse its luster,
Soon after we had moved across the sea.
The Shamrock flourished one more time then wilted,
and nothing I could do even seemed right.
I tried air, water, and even sparkling sunshine,
and even kept the door open on it at night.
I swear I'll never move another Shamrock,
As this one's back again now with the breeze,
Maybe some day she'll float on back to England
and settle down around the lovely trees.

One sided war

Start your one sided war against me
I'm not playing your childish games
That's not fear in my eyes
That's the look you get when your not worth my time
Next time you pray
You better thank God for the mercy of me
And know with one more step
I'll be your biggest regret
An eye for an eye
But I will feel you bleed
Warnings don't come without a price
And now you know
I'll take your miserable life
Keep pushing, keep lying, keep thinking I'm crying
But the game you play, I've already mastered
The first rule, the person who has nothing you can take, is the most dangerous
So remember me every time you breath
Remember I was the one who let you leave
Your war, is nothing without me
Weren't you the one, who said I was unstable
Well meds can't fix this
And hell has nothing for what I have in store
So your one sided war will soon end
Use your name to plead to God, Your not smarter then I think
You dug your grave
And I have no problem helping you sleep

Hey Shabab, Where Is My Son

In life
When elephants fight
A flower dies
So my son what they putted in your mind
to blow up me
the bullet isn't killer
but your hate
A terror
You feel shames
That's why
you walks in shadows
And hides in cave
And u wears this turban on face
hey my son
they pulled out
your heart
And replaced
with bomb
Hey shabab
where is my son?

War Has Come

Bullets whizz by,
Like the rain,
On a stormy day,
As bodies dropped here and there,
Blood soaking into the ground,
And into boots of America’s soldiers.
War Has Come.

Lets go back in time,
To see what happened before the war.
It all started with a smile,
People laughing out loud,
Seeing the sun shine behind the clouds,
Seeing family members be happy.
War Has Come.

Thinking of the past,
America’s troops have hope for the future.
When one dies,
The whole world knows their name.
Families grieve for their husbands,
Daughters, brothers, and wives.
War Has Come.

I cannot pretend to know how you feel,
But know that I’m here for you,
Reach for my heart,
Cause its held out to you,
 My shoulders are small,
But you can cry on them too.
Everything changes,
But know this,
I’m here for you.
War Has Come.

Winning souls tend to change everything,
Including who and what we are.
When our darkness within transforms to light
And our eyes have the luster of a star.

We must always pray for the lost among us
Who eagerly race toward the wrong direction.
So they may know their own repentance
Blessed by God’s, grace, love and protection.

All of heaven’s heroes have suffered remorse
From hate, fear, lust, loneliness and war.
They do what they do with deliverance of heart
Defeating the dark side of life and more.

Noah found safety within the beams of his ark
To endure heaven’s cleansing of earth.
Moses the deliverer, climbed a mountain
Descending with God’s guidelines of worth.

David the shepherd, a boy among men
Slew evil’s giant with a flying stone.
Samson the strong man, broke from his chains
Toppling the temple with God’s help alone.

Jonah was swallowed by a monster fish
To be cast up on shore with a prophecy to tell.
Jesus of Nazareth was nailed to the cross
And without his forgiveness we’re doomed to fail.

Lord I’ll feel blessed to greet all your heroes
When it is my time to escape my woes.
I’ll clutch their hands and kiss their face
As we celebrate the journey we chose.

Stand up and fight

We are all soldiers.
We fight hidden enemies that come from the future.
The problems stay there at the end of the bed
to say good morning every day.
Every new problem is the next enemy
that needs different weapons to fight.
And when the day finishes, most times the glory belongs to us.
We have survived and we are alive.
"If something doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger"
You get the weapons to exterminate it the next time that it comes.
The life makes soldiers, everyone separate, fighting a different enemy.
The ally that we have is our past.
Our history always teaches us how to fight
and to the end of our life the experiences make us veterans.
We have collected many weapons to give to the next generations.
We are all soldiers of life.
We have all the same purpose.
To survive.
And we fight, all of us, our biggest enemy…time.

The sun rises,
Bloodshot red sky.
Tainted by blossoming bullet holes.

Can I ever return
To the naivety of ignorance?
Whistling and explosives echo in my head.
Fade to black. Again.

The inky night,
Spreads like infection
Over the horizon like whispers,
Tendrils of numbness.

Can you ever return,
From your fragmented slumber?
Don't make me face my demons alone.

We'll defeat terrorism as it should be fought
Never letting Satan's horde chase us to our door.
Safeguarding our borders and system of life
As our forefathers sacrificed before.

Never be afraid to be proud of America
And march with the brave, faithful and just.
Refusing to summit to the will of our enemies
Standing firm to preserve what we trust.

America has survived all attempts to destroy
Knowing the cruelty and sorrow of war
And we who remain must help keep her free
For those who can march no more!

Those who wish to be President
Must practice what they teach.
For their people need inspiring
To believe what they preach.

Take heed therefore, unto yourselves
You overseers of the flock
Or the voters shall cast you out
For your futures are not of rock.

Life may place us in deep waters
Though it doesn't wish us to drown.
It's our past record that lets others know
Who we are as we smile or frown.

If you wish to be remembered
From the truth you must never part.
Power corrupts the best of us
When we stop listening to our heart.

who am i

How can one who lost himself find himself
Every night i have a repeating dream of an empty field
With a sword in one hand and a mask in the other
As i raise the mask to wear the field is no longer empty
Hundreds stand front of me with same two item a sword and a mask
As i pan the area one thing is different the mask
With the sword in my other hand i clutch it and raised it as did they
With no nonresistant i charge towards the mass as they did to me
I slash, stab, slain, and killed all them
Not once did I wonder who they were as i resume killing
Until one remain the field but this was different the clothes and mask were red
As i lunge into an endless bout i grew more exhausted and tired
But the one in red never slowed
Until i stop and look down and notice the sword through my heart
As i fell to my knees i remove my mask looking on the field the men i been fighting
Were Me
I look up to the one in red and who are he lower his mask it ME
The true me and he said
"The one you slain today are you these were you emotion rage, hate, fear happiness, sadness"
and i ask "which one are you"
He respond "I am love for can never know or fell love until you accept who you are for that reason you will never know love"
As my eyes darken
I began to wake and notice a blank mask on my bed and wonder
Which one am I

Misdeeds were put here as a test for mankind
And to many race down the wrong path.
Greed, hate, lust and perversion are satin’s tools
In his workshops of corruption and wrath.

Rape, robbery, murder, and assault
Are committed by the dishonest night and day.
Thank God for those who line up to protect
The principles of justice, honor and fair play.

Where would we be without valiant policemen
Who patrol our neighborhoods and streets?
Risking their life and limb on the line
Arresting thieves, killers, drug dealers, perverts and cheats.

To many officers become victims of divorce
Products of occupational danger and strain.
Never knowing when they say good by
If it’s their day to be crippled or slain.

It takes a brave soul to become a good cop
Risking everything for little praise and pay.
It’s true that some may abuse their badge
But for the majority we gratefully pray.

We’re sought by Satan of that I’m sure
As he plots to derail our soul.
Greed, hate, lust, anger and fear
Are deeds which facilitate his coal.

He smiles at lies, cheating and theft
He laughs at never-ending war.
He drools to conquer the hearts of man
Shadowing every window and door.

Tempting all with unclean pleasures
His success is weakness and desire.
We triumph only through the power of faith
Avoiding eternal torment and fire.

Goodness and evil illustrate life
Like the two sides of every coin.
Most can’t help but experience both
As we learn who to trust, follow and join.

Praise our Lord for morals and ethics
The laws of heavenly command.
Without God’s armor and his grace
We become the distortion of man.

Goodness must overrule absolute evil
Though there’s nothing worse than war.
Sometimes we have no alternative option
Except to kill or be killed as before.

The best of plans can go amiss
With uncertainties till the first shots are fired.
As generals plot their path toward victory
It’s up to the wounded, the fallen and tired.

It’s not how strong or athletic you are
That decides who is blessed to return.
Those who survive are a product of luck,
And our prayers and support they’ve earned.

War seems to peel the veneer off society
Exposing our villain within.
A crazy obsession to rule over others
By death, destruction and sin.

The mayhem of conflict is a ongoing scourge
Robbing man from intended glory.
The hinge of history swings in all directions
As the madness of war tells its story.

As I stand in victory, he’ll lie alone.

Boxing is a game of sport
Loved by all both tall and short.
Cheers and shouts shall fill the air

Looking at the reflection I don't like what I'm looking at,
this is suppose to be a mirror so why I feel like I'm
looking back, my past then passed on that part of me is
dead gone, but everyday I find myself repenting what I
been forgiven for, this is not the same me that I saw
yesterday surrendering to Jesus and crucifying my old
ways if only they knew the man they look upon is, just a
weak sinner who at times fails to put on his
armor...suicide bomber, the devil tells me to kill myself
spiritual tug of war but still my lifestyle says rebel. No
matter what it looks like I'm apart of the rebellion, so I
know with every cry for help from the Holy Spirit my flesh
is melting, and I know I'm not living up, up to his
standard no matter how hard I try my sin he can't stand
it, and I can't just make excuses murmur about my
weakness, I make war against myself I refuse to abort this
life I live in Christ like a fetus

Everything's Black.
My heart my emotions.
My body levitates to higher planes my soul is coasting.
Above the devil's city.
Lost hope forgotten dreams.
As the lights go out blinding red beams.
stray slugs penetrate temples.
Holy wars, the righteous stand against rebels.
Angelic spirits ward of devils.
I close my eyes as the world rotates around me.
The center of my universe.
Around every corner, sin lurks.
Two lost angels follow a black hearse.
They never seen it coming.

Their planes were mostly canvas and wood
Gasoline, bullets, bombs and poison gas.
Every pilot carried his own pistol
Wearing leathers, scarf and goggles of glass.

Aviators had no Parachutes
To escape their burning plane.
Many were forced to jump to their death
Or self inflect a bullet to the brain.

Blimps where known as battleships of the sky
The roar of their engines gave reason for fear.
They flew so high they were hard to shoot down
Hiding above clouds till their targets drew near.

Tracer bullets for the first time were used
In the guns of airplanes to set blimps a fire.
The skies became man’s highway of death
With duty and honor their driving desire.

How many Fly-boys have we lost since then
Those days of the Great War and more?
Where do we get such brave souls of chance
Who rise from the rest in the battles of war?

AlexanderThe Great

King Philip his father engaged a new teacher
When Alexander turned thirteen.
Aristotle the greatest mind of his time
Gave Alexander his taste for the unforeseen.

Alexander dreamed of a one world empire
Held together by one king and tradition.
After his father was murdered by rivals
He ruled in his place with conviction.

Philip’s death caused conquered kingdoms to rebel
And for next two years Alexander forced them to concede.
The huge Persian Empire of King Darius III
Posed the greatest threat to Greeks and their creed.

The Persian cavalry numbered over forty thousand
Plus one million foot soldiers with weapons and shield.
Alexander’s troops numbered thirty thousand on the ground
Along side five thousand horsemen who dominated the field.

Alexander practiced many new methods of war
One of his most effective was called the siege train.
Several high towers would be rolled up to city walls on wheels
From which defenders were overwhelmed and slain.

He developed mechanical machines of death
Catapults, which hurled fifty pound stones.
Large arrows and burning balls of fire
Smashing walls, buildings and bones.

Soon Alexander fulfilled his prophecy
Sitting on the golden throne of Persian kings.
Possessing great treasures from conquered lands
Though his greatest need was conquest not things.

Alexander, king of Asia, would not be satisfied
His ambition and ego denied him rest.
He decided to march his armies to India
Putting the Rajahs armies and elephants to test.

The huge beasts, which were unknown in Europe
Frightened Alexander’s men at the start.
In spite of their fear disciplined prevailed
As Greek spears tore holes in their heart.

Exhausted by years of hardship and battle.
His men refused to go on and Alexander gave in.
Disease, thirst, and hunger were their constant companions
From the time they left Greece till they were home again.

Alexander was physically and emotionally sick
To the point of becoming critically ill.
He died in Babylon at thirty-two
King of prophecies he pledged to fulfill.

Frost covers paper faces and flat places in the spaces where the captain no longer paces.
Solset to solrise the dans macabre of a shattered fleet which no longer flies.
Drifting through dead skies: short, snow-white men with open, staring eyes.
No carrion crow to peck, no undertaker spies;
This floating museum of a warlike planets' demise.

Hey Shabab, Where Is My Son

In life
When elephants fight
A flower dies
So my son what they putted in your mind
to blow up me
the bullet isn't killer
but your hate
A terror
You feel shames
That's why
you walks in shadows
And hides in cave
And u wears this turban on face
hey my son
they pulled out
your heart
And replaced
with bomb
Hey shabab
where is my son?

my angst

oh thee my beloved
whence will thou return
whence will my dream be brought to life
whence will thou remember
for men you fought battles
battle of patriots and strong men
yet the war hath killed thee
whence will thou return to me
for your heart was stolen and your body returned
now i see only a shadow of my lover
your heart ran cold and our love disfigured
oh how the war has changed you
oh how the war has stolen what did only matter once
our love has been slain for the victories of war
please open yourself to me again
let me break thy walls of anger
melt thy frozen heart with my love
for i see not a man i once loved
o thee heaven and great mother
see my plight and search my heart
if my love be true
return my beloved back to me

The hornets of hell swarm from their nest
Overwhelming all the victims they can.
To sting as many souls as possible
In their destruction of the glory of man.

They murder, rob, rape and plunder
While provoking the meek to submit.
They lie, deceive and mislead
And depend on the world to forget.

Eager to enhance their numbers
They are the cheerleaders of disgrace.
Their agendas of sin must be stopped
For the betterment of each race.

Endless is God’s test of time
To measure man’s spiritual worth
Unwholesome deeds tempt us all
Festering in the repugnance of earth.

The hornets of hell are on the hunt
In all directions by day or night.
The Armor of God shields man’s soul
And gives us our resolve to fight.

The champions of heaven in rapture await
To see who will stumble and fall.
They watch us struggle, in our world of woe
As they pray we will heed, God’s call.

Fools declare we must hide from view
And leave the hornets of hell alone
But when we ignore the liabilities of life
The failings of man become, our own.

Once in command, he boxed in the British
At Boston where he captured Dorchester Heights,
Overlooking the Brits at his mercy
As his men took aim with their cannon sites.

The British commander had but one choice,
To sail to New York to renew the fight.
Where the English had much greater forces,
Who soon chased Washington's men in full flight.

They continued on to Pennsylvania
After crossing the Hudson in retreat,
With the British forces in hot pursuit
It looked as though George was doomed to defeat.

When winter seemed to have stopped the fighting
That's when Washington crossed the Delaware.
On that Christmas night he captured Trenton
Where Hessians were surprised and unaware.

He whipped the British at Princeton,
Where in victory his men began to sing.
Washington then wintered at Morristown,
Training his troops for the combat of spring.

Washington fought bravely at Brandywine
And again at a place called Germantown,
But the British were the victorious ones
As the dead of both sides covered the ground.

Americans were blessed early that spring,
When the French entered the war on their side.
Though most suffered frostbite at Valley Forge,
With the help of the French they marched in stride.

The battles raged on, in the North and South
As the King’s soldiers laid waste to the land.
Washington himself was in great despair,
Pleading for aid for his weakened command.

His prayers were answered by 5000 troops,
And a French fleet who took Chesapeake Bay.
They bottled up Cornwallis at Yorktown,
Who surrendered to victory drums at play.

Yorktown was really the end of the war
Though not many quite realized that fact yet.
But the British soon grew tired of the fight
And the terms for its end were signed and set.

Washington yearned to retire at home,
But his country chose him first president.
Cheering crowds waved flags of love and support,
For they believed that "he," by God, was sent.

What You Get

The machines of metal is driven by war, the gears are turning into the most gruesome of fears - Nuclear destruction by the hands of men, over and over, again and again - Bombs which litter the clear blue skies, fatherless children to theinnocent which dies - Hate is bred by the lack of respect, the lack of respect is the hate which is bred - Armies of the damned bleeds on the blood soaked sand, burning fires flames on this savage land -Victory is signalled by the bones of the dead, what you read is the lies told, the truth will not be told and will never be said - When blood flows rivers red, death is true and that is what you get

We are still here so let us still remember
Those that have left since January all the back to December

From the war in the streets to the war over seas
The Fallen leave behind hearts that hurt and grieve

For the ones left behind relif is what they search for
To lose their person who seemed to make there heart sore

It's been recognized that we are here only for a season
Why some of us are taken only God knows those reasons

Everday someone loses a lover, child, or friend
The way we should live is knowing one day we will see them again

Grieving is the way the heart says I miss you
Living is the souls way of sayin I will remember you
Surviving and thriving is the minds way of saying I
Will miss you, remember you, and forever and always truly love you

Accidental patriot

Here's how I became a patriot

Cruisin the mall
got money cuz I got checks
poster woman proud, tall

Dressed out in Blues
(I would look so cute in that)
and I was seduced

So now I'm in the NAVY
flyin on a jet plane
college was so boring
I never attended anyway

They threw me a party
at the bar down the road
I played Nintendo with a stripper
bored with what he showed

(Bootcamp: within moments of my arrival)

the bourbon and buzz wore off
crazy people screaming in my face
clearly, they don't understand
I volunteered and they are out of place

I bring this to their attention
and that was when I learned
how to do a pushup
and that respect is earned
and earned
and earned

Let me tell ya, my eyes were OPENED
I cried for mama at nite
but I wasn't alone
and that's what you need in a fight
(not to be alone)

Broke my foot, kept runnin
my girls wouldn't let me stop
tangled with my "commander"
she put head in toilet
(I know that doesn't rhyme, but that's what happened)

I'm the chick that made eyeliner out of shoe polish
I'm the chick from Arkansas
I'm the chick that launched F-14s
the Greatest bird of all

So I am, sorta by accident, a Patriot

It is Fixable (

It does not take infinite wisdom
To fix our prison system
Or an act from the Almighty
To right our society
Revenge is a great word to use
When you wanna stop the abuse
We will call it justifiable homicide
When you take that sexual offender on a one way ride
The desert is a good place to dispose of their kind
Bury the animal so deep that nobody can find
Hack him, chop him, burn him, it's more than he deserves
He is a part of a war in this world
His punishment should fit the crime
Don't let him live off the taxpayer's dime
One bullet could save so much money
All dark days, no more sunny
Take away their weights and cable tv
Give them no free rights, strip them of their humanity
Just give them four walls to stare at all day
Castrate the rapists, they need to pay
They file their petty lawsuits
Make them earn their keep, they can grow their own food
Our government is under dillusions if they think they are in control
All of this is fixable

The Real Enemy

There is an enemy among us all
This one is what will cause humanity to fall
It creeps in our children's lives
It takes your resistance then it thrives
It moves on to spread its campaign
If it is not stopped it will reign
All it takes is one try then it owns you
The government turns its head so it is kept out of view
Drug dealers need to be put to death
What if it was your child breathing their last breath?

Thank You

From the early patriotic seeds that were planted
To the liberties we take for granted
Our military is made up of the finest women and men
Around the world they are sent to defend
The same foundation of our American lives that make us stand tall
24/7 they are on the call
Their lives in danger each and every day
Spouses become mother and father when they are away
Heartache and tears they cannot avoid
When it is their time to be deployed
For every one of them we pray for a safe return
But a flagged draped coffin is much too often the news we learn
From the burning sands in the desert to the stormy unforgiving seas
You are the best our American Miltary
You give up that one precious gift for us back home to strive
Every moment, every day you lay down your lives
I thank you for all you do
Always holding high our Red, White and Blue

A Tribute To Our Soldiers

This to our soldiers fighting in combat
We hope and pray daily that you safely comeback
Fighting for freedom and protecting our land
And keeping us safe from the terrorists at hand
On a beautiful 11th day of september in 2001
Al-Quida attacked our world trade center then attacked our pentagon
The worst tragedy in history so many lives were lost
We all vowed revenge no matter what the cost
Now five years later were still fighting the war
We will never back down thats one thing for sure
Even though the loss of there lives is a horrible price to pay
They do it any way to make sure we stay safe and protected each and everyday
So this to our soldiers I have one thing to say
You are deeply honored and remembered each and everyday.
