Daybreak at Nornalup

It’s morning time at Nornalup
A new day, it is born
The river flows so lazily
Reflecting all the morn
The Tingle trees on the other side
So strong and silent, they
As morning sun enhances them
At the birth of each new day.

I sit here on this little bench
And watch the morning born
I see it as it turns from night
And heralds in the dawn
Oh how that sleepy little river
Reflects this morning show
Of fluffy bushes, midst strong trees
It gives them such a glow.

A Kookaburra, how he laughs
Awaking brand new day
He flies above the lazy river
As he goes upon his way
He looks for something in the grass
A snake, something to eat
I sit here and enjoy this show
It makes life so complete.

Two ravens fly above my head
And give out lonesome calls
As brown ducks waddle here and there
It’s all so beautiful
In this lovely paradise
Beside the Frankland river
Oh so much blessed harmony.
This scene, it does deliver.

Daybreak is my favorite time of day....the smell of gum trees heightened by the dew. I was there with you. SuZ
