Hello soupers...I just returned from a little vacation to the Redwoods in Northern California. We stopped at a place called" Trees of Mystery" and I found this poem engraved on a redwood plaque in front of a group of trees called The Cathedral...I thought you might like to read it...this is just a couple of stanzas..written by J Strauss..who believe it or not..was an engineer on the Golden Gate Bridge..enjoy.. Barbara
This is their temple, vaulted high,
And here we pause with reverent eye.
With silent tongue and awe struck soul,
For here we sense life's proper goal..
To be like these, staight, true and fine,
To make out world , like theirs, a shrine.
Sink down, Oh traveler, on your knees,
God stands before you in these trees...
