Mesmerized By the Moon
How many have dreamed in its magical light
Imagining a world not of their making
Where troubles are few and wishes are granted
And peace is there for the taking….
How many lovers have basked in her glow
And to each other made promises so sweet
With this gift of light from the heavens above
The moment of joy now somehow complete …
How many children have looked at the moon
Hoping to see that fabled man’s face
Imagining he’s there looking back at them
From that far away mysterious, magical place...
