Winter's Musing

There are many weeks of winter left The sky is low, dark clouds are filled with rain I long to see a troop of daffodils And some green where long the snow has lain When winter days are short and darkness falls To inner musings we are gently drawn Dreaming, longing and yes, remembering That soon we’ll see a robin on the lawn..

Here in mid missouri three days ago we had freezing rain. and today the shining sun has not melted the ice from the trees. It's a beautiful sight driving down the highway. Miles of white trees. Gone still are the robins.
