Wondering wanderer

a sloppy stranger
seated on a stack of yesterday’s news

her cloth washed out
her sunglasses broken
her cotton bags bulged

she holds a piece of plastic
with written words

I am blind
Please help

in her other hand
her worn cap
with a few coins

I asked this blind beggar
why she didn't speak

she dropped her cap with coins
and her plastic sign

she told me
she had become deaf
for the people
who did not listen

while she was typing
on the touch screen
of her mobile phone
she turned her piece of plastic
and I read
my mission:
asking you
now who is really blind
and who has a kind vision
