Charm oozes from forked tongue,
Coated with honey and romance sung.
But I see thine serpent's venomous glean,
Mannerisms but unrepentantly serene.

Thou hath no benevolence to spare,
Mine vulnerability canst compare.
Tears descend like melancholy rains,
Hearts amassed create courtesan chains.

Teardrops linked from broken hearts
A chink resides in the loneliest parts.
Conquering lovers with savoir faire,
Null and void of all love to share.

Come slither thou serpent beguiling,
Venom spills o'er sweet lips asmiling.
Harvest this jewel for thine collection,
Dread naht mine enervated rejection.

Coiling primed with fatal strike,
Resigned to thou ardor bite.
I be one of the many jewels,
Crowning gem of ardent fools.

More 3rd person than 1st. I was picturing Cleopatra and the asp the whole time. Very good. Venomous glean was an interesting word pairing. Congratulations!
