Tread Soft

Tender pluck mine heart petals,
Stinging words akin to nettles
Mine eyes thus tempest come
Harshness canst naught be undone.

A heart weeps with disputes thorn,
Wounded metamorphism renders scorn.
Pray ye pluck mine fragile heart genteel,
Heed mine trepidatious appeal.

Within Eden, devotion wilt shine,
A friable blossom tis a heart mine.
Savor a fragrant quim bouquet,
Hasten naught to evoke love away.

Supple lips destined for exotic kiss,
Which applied harbors bliss.
Love a fickle sharpened duel sword,
Tread soft less ye be scored.

  1. Date: 2/21/2013 1:10:00 PM have honored my poem in your Thee and Thou contest.....but you have written a powerful poem that could have won your own contest! This is a beaut! The vintage language of times long gone, make it seem as if I have chosen an old poetry book off a dusty shelf, and have been swept away! My thanks for the honor, and my praise to the sponsor! :)
