Today it was...

Today it was… it was like no other day
The sun shone black, shading yesterdays
Empty skies now cold, framing flowers gone
Your haunting words, now the night air song
Because you went away
God you went away
And it's here I'll stay

The pain of Deja vu, fills my endless days
Awaiting fall of night, the seamless merge does plays
Baron meadows sigh, Neath tortured trees so bare
This now is my world, a world that doesn't cares
Because you went away
God you went away
And it's here I'll stay

Why do all the steps I take, lead to just one place
A lonely silhouette, void of dreams to chase
A haunting symphony, that plays for all like we
With forgotten words, and tortured melodies
Because you went away
Yes you went away
Oh God I wish you’d stayed
