To stand among the trees

To stand among the trees

Today, I stand among the trees
That grow here all around
And hear the mystic symphony
As the breeze in whispered sound
Rustles leaves so tenderly
On a silent sun filled morn
I melt within its mystery
As another day is born.

There’s something about a tree filled space
That calls on out to me
In each tree, and every shrub
There’s so much energy
From every shade of velvet green
There comes such wondrous power
That teaches me to still my mind
And helps my soul to flower.

Sun shines down from a clear blue sky
But it don’t shine on me
For I am shaded from its glare
Neath a pomegranate tree
I don’t know really what it is
That gives me so much power
As I stand amidst a clump of trees
And nature helps me flower.
