Time

There's just one chance, we can't retry,
More time is something we can't buy,
Say what you will, the truth belies -
No good to cry, no good to cry.

Not like the key that you misplaced,
The years forever gone in haste,
The gift we're given tossed to waste -
The bitter taste, the bitter taste.

The hours pass and days go by,
From first hello to last goodbye,
Through many years we quickly fly -
And then we die, and then we die.
