The Wedding

The lights were dangling from the rooftops,
the snow scattering lightly in the air.
Tomorrow was the day we would celebrate our long affair.
We kissed and said good night praying for the best.

Next day I fiddly put on tux and tie
driving nervously to the church
where i saw my love and our families
pensively waiting out side giving a sigh

On the way to the altar we were both so nervous
I could barely hold her hand.
My corsage was beginning to fall off right
when the pastor adjusted it quickly.

After our vows the toasts and party began.
Dancing and music or yes and don't forget
the lavish food, everything you could think of
Lamb, souffles and of course a beautiful cake.
A day we would never forget.
