The Sirens' Song

Beware the song, you cannot flee,
Enchanting in the afternoon,
Its evil tempting melody.

Baited, lost, you dream and swoon,
As she reaches with beckoning smile,
Enchanting in the afternoon.

Her song and beauty will beguile.
You strip and bare your lonely soul
As she reaches with beckoning smile.

She lures you toward a rocky shoal.
With every sailor on the sea
You strip and bare your lonely soul.

A vortex now of hopeless pleas,
The Sirens know what song to sing
With every sailor on the sea.

Too late to fly, you can't take wing,
Beware the song, you cannot flee,
The Sirens know what song to sing,
Its evil tempting melody.

Perfect idea for that contest! Masterful presentation also. This form is difficult to get the lines to flow easily, but I find these very fluid.

She tempts you and you pay the toll. Possible line one for stanza four. I really like the Terzanelle, curious if if there was a reason you broke the form with that one line.
