The muse takes a break

The muse takes a break

You know, a few short days ago
I said to me 'No more!'
It seemed that I had lost the glow
And writing was a bore
I'd made my mind up, not to write
The energy was going
I pushed computer out of sight
As I felt the boredom growing.

I wrote nothing for one whole day
I didn't seem to care
I picked up my Guitar to play
And with the room did share
A song or two. or three, or four
But it did not take too long
Till I was back to write some more
And out came another song.

Some writers write to seek the glory
Some others write for fun
But me I write because my story
Is just waiting to be sung
And I can't help but put it out
It's a need I have within me
It seems it's what I'm all about
Its the way I need to be.
