The Cabin in the Woods

The forest was dark and dreary, the crickets sang in delight The first drops of rain fell as i walked towards the far dim light The frogs sang in the rain, the wind blew in my face As I trudged on towards home, towards my cabin in the woods It was old,it was beautiful,it was filled with memories bright It was my dear old cabin, the one which breathed with delight As twilight approached and the air turned chill My heart filled with a sadness that was unbearable My old cabin was beside me,reminding me that I wasn't alone So I entered it and closed the door I lit the fire to ward off the cold The heat of the flame made me warm and reminded me of people long gone As I sat on the couch remembering the past,my little cabin helped me to smile This little cabin in the woods Is my little world now,its my life.

Captivating short verse amid a certain light, sweet beautiful Bernadette ~ Yet and although I myself can sense as do know these hollow walks within dreary meadow to say the least so to speak ? Kind of like Pink Floyd's song, Wish You Were Here,' in that yes this life this place this world is no less a huge fish bowl unto the eyes whom see it for it's truth ? A wisp of wind her morning breath a dream from whence one awakes and Poof, its all gone ~ Shooting for the stars * Love, John

Priyanka, The way you split the lines made the poem: a. As William Burroughs said, "[c]loser to the actual facts of perception." b. Become two poems of different thoughts but like meanings. Great work. --Alex
