That smile

In hurried fashion
the search was for the purple

“Lavender” she called it

The rummage was the must,
our ears did hear
the thud of angry feet beat near

Yes, I did sweat,
and again, 
she smiled

    I do think women see things differently; as you say, purple becomes lavender - lovely. So glad it ended well ! :)
