Teardrops In Paradise Protest Write II

We`re on our way
Visiting good old friends from Norway
Now living in Turkey
Its the smiling country

We got everything we need..and more so
Romantic evenings with candlelights on the table
Eating out everyday, and watching the perfect sunset
The scenery is beyond spectacular

Not so nice sceneries comes sneaking into my thoughts
TV news shows an infant, shot to death..right through her chest
Another infant penetrated by grenade splints, now laying dead on a table
Her father screams in pure anger, anxiety and endless grief
More than 200 innocent civilians found, sliced to death by the army
Schools..hospitals are being used as canon targets
Civilians being forced to walk infront of tanks..defenceless kids most of them
Just in case resistance groups should make any attempt to stop these heavily armed forces

They are used as living targets
All within the hour from a holiday paradise in Turkey

Tears are shed for you..brothers and sisters
Your life is bleeding out of you..but your spirit will fight `til the bitter end
How cruel..How unfair it all is in this world
My thoughts and prayers are with you Syria

Hey Arild! On the borderline of hell as you are enjoying your paradise...Crazy, isn't it?...I think this bloodshed is senseless and it is time to call in the troops! Any troops...it doesn't always have to be the USA...I truly appreciated this write of yours and I will visit it again, I'm sure. :) Gwendolen

Strong contrasts here, Arild-Charlie. Difficult topic that you highlighted very well in this presentation - sometimes just a few kilometres away from paradise, there exists an Inferno. TV NEWS - watching people die vicariously from a distance(TOOL - 10,000 Days).

Innocent people and humanity will be forever victim, Arild. not in war, politics or even love. A very thoughtful writing here, dear. May God be with us, in our every step as u know that people they can act as hell.

Hi Arild - The contrast you convey in your poem is so important. I'll never understand why these atrocities are still going on. Your poem shows such deep respect for the innocent people who should never be forgotten. - Gail

Oh shucks, what a very sharp contrast you've shown here, Arild-- yes it can be pretty unnerving how there is so much hatred these days, and innocent lives are being lost (and in such cruel ways)-- your title is very fitting for this-- yes, one can't help but feel those tears from the heart-- thank you for sharing... as for your observation, wow I am impressed! Just based on what I wrote? You are very right though :) I can be a very patient person :) & yup Sunday dawn here, I better sleep

Re your question re your blog ..Yes i am from the exact small dot in the middle of the Mediterranean sea.I live on the little sunny island of Malta..just beneath Italy and Sicily. Hope you are enjoying your stay in the Mediterranean sea and had plenty of adventure and fun :)..Now let me get to your poem../This poem is very powerful.. I wonder when all the world could come to peace.. We can create a heaven out of a heaven instead of a burning hell.. Great post-Charma

Wouldn't be nice my brother if the world could mirror us?? Two men who have never met yet reached across the world and shook hands making a lasting friendship. Just my thoughts. Your friend Michael
