Tangled Vines

The tangled vines are blooming
singing forth green leaves and
yellow flowers in the breeze.
The tangle is only underground at
the roots and doesn't show. The roots
are thin and weak, easy to pull up.

But all is like life. The tangled
vines are deep inside our feelings
of who we are and who we will
become. They grow deeper while
all along the ordered green leaves
and small yellow flowers grow above
the roots, hiding them, to give the
appearance of beauty and success.
The emerald green is all we show
each other and thus, all we see.
