Sleeping in the Hay

How is it you love me
cuz I'm made of caramel cream
do the doves fly all above me
or is this just a dream

do you love my mushroom saute
or my potato chicken fritter
do you chomp on my liver pate
or does that make you quiver

we went to stay at a nice hotel
but the waiter was a bore
he said there was only one room
and that was beneath the floor

going out to stay in the basement
just seemed unlikely that day
so in the car and off we went
till we found fields with bales of hay

Lets sleep under the stars we said
fluffing up the hay, not a soul in sight
we woke up bright and early
cows nuzzling us with delight
