Poisonous Barb

A poisonous barb did depart
From her venomous mouth like a dart
Said with disdain
Caused much grief and pain
And embedded itself in his heart

Well, defy me if he deserves not, If her mouth needed to be shut - For poison begets poison for sure, No matter how hearts can be pure - Still, if he cares for her much enough, Venom can only be fought with Love!.... An amazing Limerick!! Best Wishes!!

Those barbs can do that..Enjoyed your sense of humor in this one..Glad that I chose it to read this morn..Thanks for stopping by..Your presence at my work was uplifting..I put out new suet and birdseed over the week end..Monday the birds came in to enjoy..Tuesday it rained not many birds..Wednesday they flocked to it again..Yesterday, it was just covered with birds. The different species seem to come at different times. It rained again last night even somewhat stormy. Thanks again for the stop.Sara

Dear Owen, In Greece we have a proverb that says: “The tongue although boneless, bones brakes” Your limerick Expresses a great truth in a magnificent way!

Nice Limerick, Owen! Usually, Lims are funny... this one is brutal (but good!)... Terry (BTW, I think 'bard' in the first line should be 'barb')
