My Old Friend

I sit here all alone. In the deepest of nights. I consider you my old friend, the depth of my plight. Tears strewn down my face. Unable to express what hides within. I think of you, how you calmed me before. I close my eyes, think of the cold, hard, steel. Feel myself tense, yet everything calms within. I still see the red stains on me, the scars you left in your wake. People don't know that you still exist, you still sleep deep in my mind. Don't rustle too much my dear, though the thought of you draws my breath, you are just a dream, never to to be let out again.
