Ministers' daughters

Ministers' daughters

Feel guilty
About making love
And having sex
Even with her

She wrote about young love
And early marriage
And she
called having sex
'deeds' in a poem
she wrote
About ten years ago
Is that what's going on?
She wanted to make
Another baby
And it kept her going
she just wanted
another child

what is
Going on?

She's been so

And they used to
Love each other

He used to be so
good to her

He used to
smell so sweet
And be so gentle
And smile

He even made
Her laugh
And he has changed
A lot
And she doesn't know
Who she's married to
And somehow she kept
Looking at his face

She might have an idea

 it's all been so different
She feels lost

The whole thing
makes her feel unhappy
Her feelings are so hurt
She feels betrayed and
She's been so sad

and she cries
So much

She worries about her child
and her mom and dad
She lives for harmony
It's all she's ever wanted

Ever since

Things have felt terrible
So different
And she feels so sick
Maybe they will
Just be honest
And tell her what is
going on
And should just talk to her
Face to face

As they should have
Or perhaps we'll all
Write poems
