Along the Nile river as far as the eye can see,
Tiger Lilies grow a path to a knowledge tree.
The gods blessed it and sent it on it's way,
It still stands there, a burnt skeletal gray.

Sentinels safe guard knowledge evoke,
Leaves change with every season's stroke
But like the impetuous mortals we can be,
Intended make ruin the knowledge tree.

The heavens opened with a mighty roar
bring down Armageddon to mortal's door
The battle waged from years to year,
Destroying what we coveted so dear.

The lilies now bloom a crimson scarlet red,
To mark the passing of many valiant dead.
Destine to repeat past mistakes,
At any cost the ruins of time forsakes.

But hidden from prying eyes,
Sprouts another coveted prize.
Knowledge, a dangerous tome,
Ever lusted for our own

A sapling thrives in a fairy realm
Growing tall a mighty elm.
Untouchable, protected where it grows,
But alas a new threat now arose.

Fairy-folk inherit the evil of mortal men,
Warring to a wicked end.
Wanting all the knowledge for themselves,
Selfishly hoarding the wisdom's wealth.
