Ill Be Back In The Morning

Do you wake up in the early hours
to find a space inside our bed?
Wonder where I am and why I‘ve gone
and if it’s something that you’ve said?
Do you stretch your arm across my side
to hold me close and squeeze me tight?
Have I gone and left you all alone
in the middle of the night?

We may argue and we say things
that we do not really mean
I walk away and go outside
and you wonder where I’ve been
There is nothing you can say or do
that will keep me far away
There is no one better out there
so I'll guess I’m here to stay

We kiss and touch but it’s just too much
so then we end up making love
You nibble and you whisper in my ear
that I’m a gift sent from above
We scream and shout and you throw me out
You even argue with yourself
But I would rather do it all with you
Then choose anybody else

So I’ll be back in the morning
To see what else you have to say
I’ll be back in the morning
and live to fight another day
I’ll be back in the morning
As there’s no place I’d rather be
I’ll be back in the morning
So your first kiss will come from me.
