I used to pray daily
down on my hands and knees.
I used to help others
 in there times of need.
I used to be a light
to those surrounding me.
I used to carry my cross daily,
and walk in humility.
I used to have a heart
I used to not yield to temptation
when sin knocked on my door.
I used to know YOU, and recognize Your voice
 until I chose to stray.
What a grave mistake that was!
A price no one can afford to pay!
But now I long with desperation - inside I yearn
I’m all spent out like the prodigal son and to You I want to return.

You can always return to God. And regain yourself. Then, endure to the end. I hope you will be able to return to your happy place. Dane

There are times when we lose our way, Larry, but we are blessed with an understanding and forgiving God who always welcomes "the prodigal son" (and daughter) home! You don't need to return; you are already there! This is a very inspirational write! Love, Carolyn
