You Forgot

Your eroding soul was night; I held your hand, told you it'll be alright I raised your hopes but now you forgot, You remember me not! Life vexed, tried and pained you, Your skin grew dry and pale They cracked brains to compose your memorial tale; But I loved you and gave you strength Now you forgot that day! I assembled scattered fragments of your spirit With my loving breath I baptized you; Now you forgot how you looked through my eyes and cried... How I fought for you when you nearly died. And now when heart aching memories are past, And you gained strength at last You give me the negation of what I hoped for!
