Gym Class

Mr. Edgy was a nervous young teacher,
who taught his class like a preacher.
The pupils’ delight,
was to put up a fight,
so they could be thrown from the bleacher.

Now one of the students named Buster
gathered all of the courage he could muster
to give him advice,
and make him think twice,
about how he could teach without fluster.

They all were surprised the next day,
when Mr. Edgy allowed them to play.
He had taken great heed,
became friendly indeed,
and the students had no more dismay.

Hi Susan! Just got curious what this gym class has made for a poem. Find this amusing and humorous. Thanks for visiting my page. Your new friend, Wendy

Can't say I relate to this (being homeschooled most of my life). But lighthearted writing, nonetheless. I wonder why gym teachers are always thought to be edgy... hmmm...
