* * * * As snowflakes fall from tangled tree branches, They dance and whirl about me, I stop and stand still, Dazzled in a celestial light, It is glorious and I am lost in a past dream, Of walking in a summer breeze, Gathering flowers, Of sunlight caressing me, Now in snow and an icy city street my dream fades, With each falling snowflake, As beautiful as any summer flower in my garden. * * * ___________________________ December 8, 2013 Poetry/Verse/'Falling Snowflakes' Copyright Protected, ID 12-524-962-08 All Rights Reserved, 2013, Constance La France Submitted to the Standard contest, Doesn't Fit Contest, sponsor, Carol Eastman, Judged 12/2013 First Place

Very pretty and seasonal poetry, Constance. Is it for Diamonds in the snow? The sun on snow is so dazzling.

Oh the beauty of tragedy. I actually came to your page because of promises of trying a Villanelle. I guess it doesn't mean you didn't try it, but don't see any, however I'm not disappointed because this is a wonderful write. Great work.
