Elm 1

I fling my branches sky-wide the light in my leaves is gone dank sickness slides beneath soil dark spores invade me Frail leaves scatter and shatter my bare boughs rattle like bones fungus creeps, the poison seeps moss-soft rot takes hold Brittle brown branch tips bend down beseeching ground: swallow me my last cry to earth and sky weeping tears of sap

It is disturbing to see disease take so many trees. Ductch Elm disease, Ash borer and now one attacking maples. Congratulations on your win with this topic.
