Doubt, Buddha, and Me

Hey Doubt, you hold me in fascination
Watching you move in your far-away world
I carved a stone Buddha, his restraint yours
Your heady intelligence, his new dharma

The smile on his face was incomplete
And so I carved him your sunlit eyes, half open
Your silent mischief and his ancient wisdom
Didn’t quite know how to vie for equal space

And so I gave him a little of your thoughts,
Holding back a little of you that is all mine
As mysteries unravel, and life unwinds
I carved Buddha attributes on a dark angel

Life will go on parallel, yours and mine
Intersecting moments we seldom fathom
Times when life dances formless and abstract
Love in abstraction, not the people we are…

Hi Bindu! your poems always go deep within, searching for answers, knocking on wisdom's door, asking for understanding, tinged with mystery and an abstract touch. You manage to get my full attention! // paul

I can almost sense this doubt, like an adversary, i am stunned by the literary quality of this poem, and like equally Mystic Roses description of it!

You illustrate the dual nature of reality in this Buddhist oriented work. Always remember the teachings of "the compassionate one:" Peace & Love Matthew Anish

You penned it with ebony ink and surfaced it on tree birch, mosaic angel wings built on black and white, crystal chess players white moves black moves, it's a silly game of chess, until God says, Check Mate xxx Love you girl, stay sweet xxx
