Dike dance in trance

few coastal inhabitants
defying the hurricane
viewed through a telelense
brief moments of fame

storm forces known as Cristian
storm like never seen before
dancers brave all and sundry
move on the dike

spectators with question marks
powerless yelling upwind
and thousands of spectators
glued to their wide screen

reckless dike dancers wave
while the huge ocean steamer
forced to return to the sea
a harbor unsafe
