Cupids other arrow

hardly other noises
so often loudest possible voices
penetrate the double-glazed window

two children are trying their best
on their heartfelt childish quest
parental shouting's intro

will this ever end
somewhere there must be a friend
to vanish their world of shadow

your or an anonymous call
won't cause a fall at all
but a pier for Cupid's arrow

In the Netherlands is a very moving series of TV commercials about abuse of children and adults... addressing a too often 'hidden' problem. These commercials inspired me to write this sonnet.

Some strong imagery here! Interesting how you implemented a "family" element to this.
