Can any one tell me what was it all for
Marriage to me was just a bore
The only good thing to come from it
Was a daughter who had as father a twit?

For loving a baby was that really me
I was too young to be what she needed you see
There must be much more to ones married life
Than all of the everyday trouble and strife

I know I bought pain and suffering to both
Broke all the vows on which I took an oath
I cannot see where I’m going as yet
It will take a long time till my heart is to let

I left married life, and a child I adore
To find myself lonely washed upon a the shore
I had made up my mind that things could not get worse
Then gave up my Sarah and that was a curse

I took a decision to give her stability
Not to push and to pull her between her mum and me
But now when I look back I see I was wrong
For although I don’t see her often, my love is still strong

I lost all my rights when I just did not fight
Yet still when I see her I fill with delight
If right or wrong about the things in the past
I know that my love for my Sarah will last
