Bedtime Stories: The Beginning of the End of Time

And with the shattering of a broken heart
Some will see the end,
But it’s only the start.
As the pawn succumbs to the queen
He shouts at you, You must believe.
Conceive the darkness in your soul,
Because it eats you, leaving a hole.
When you learn to live as a dead man,
You can walk in the waste lands.
But be careful because the worms…
They have hands.
With hands of sin they begin
To feast on things within.
Hunger pangs from the inner peace
Leaving you to crave raw meat.
It tastes so good to drink his blood
To live his memories,
To hear him cry.
He wasn’t worth life, so he didn’t die.
He’s still alive, inside.
Inside of you things go bumpity bump.
Your heart looks tainted, humanity’s dump.
Full of lost key chains and unopened locks,
Broken glass shattered and all the dark matter.
For a lost soul like you, who should care?
When you die you’ll vanish: thin air.
And all the pain, the loss, the games
Shall leave the earth and travel to hell
Where your soul will reside, where all will be well.
I’ve seen the end of Gods beautiful earth;
It shall come quick, much but a whimper.
And when it’s all through you’ll be left in His cinders.
Forced to live in a damp, bloody earth,
Far from today’s fiery hearth.
The only human left, I can tell you much
About life,
About love,
About heaven below.
Someday we all have to pay, your day soon to come.
Because we play a game of chess
But tomorrow we play less.
And when the final pawn has had his way;
The queen dead, the king beside her bed sick
With a cancer of the heart,
You will crane your head back and laugh.
Oh how we laugh;
At the deaths of those fortuned,
At the shattering of our souls.
Till the last supernova in the most distant galaxy
Obliterates the forever finite traces of existence.
Oh how we laugh.
