At midnight

poems that faded
in the bustle of day
once again persist

Hurry friends through the gate
           (I left it ajar)
Race through the thunderstorm
to where I wait
illuminated by lightning
in still life
Astonished at your impetuousness

I always did prefer the rain

Something about the elements that resonates within our souls. I am glad you left the door ajar so that I could peek in.
