Aaahhhh! But Who Gives A Damn

Blah blah blah
you're a sad story sad
and not what i expected
and where's your sense to
live a better life
than what you live now
weakness pouring out of your
horrid face acne pimples
repulsive you can at least
make money
but NO not even that you're
ugly and poor and you think
you're some kind of Bukowski
reborn always drinking
and farting and snoring and
your moments in time
are useless
and your poems are useless
get a damn job
or it's divorce for me and you
worthless no good waste.

Heartwrenching! Love the reference to Bukowski. I am almost afraid to thank you for this, but I must. Thanks!

Hi Joseph - I reckon men like you and i are many things my friend but useless just isn't one of them - Seems to me that most folk have no concept of what really matters in this life - You have a heart that is worth its weight in gold and you are my friend - Prison taught me all about the concluding stanza of this poem - Stay strong and always follow your heart - YF4L, God Bless, MJ

You can only be you. If it's your passion to write, then write. Don't listen to the words that tear down. Your worth isn't measured by how much you make or what you own, but by your heart and soul. Great write, Joseph. Blessings. Donna G.

To me, this sounds like verbal abuse, which absolutely no one deserves. Hold your head up high I say to whomever this is about. Live your dreams and be yourself, be it poetry or whatever. As long as what you do does not cause harm to anyone else, you have every right to be YOU. Rise above. Love, Shar
