A Summer Couplet

Spring is fading as Summer appears
The sun sings out without any fears

Palm trees glowing in a silent breeze
no clouds, blue skies to always please

Come August the heat has grown bigger
too much warmth it acts as a trigger

to steam my insides out at its whim
sun expands its heat not only its rim

flames red hot for this one reason
to manage the earth and all its seasons

behold the beauty of the planet so bright
and keep us from fading in its strong light
