A raging storm

A lasting noise of blinding white
Wailing, screaming through the night

Unleashing a cold through hollow winds
Bending, breaking, it blows again

Leaving behind, frozen tears
A path of ice and frozen years

Unable to see, unable to hunt
animals hide through storms this blunt

Iced inside, the homes all hide
The people, the warmth, all locked inside

Outside still warps the rational view
The moment of time, frozen askew

Loved ones claimed, the hunger filled
The pounding lifts, the anger stills

Cowering, scared, souls hide behind
Other souls, trying, wanting to be kind

Winds blow on, storms still rage
Even tho past, this damage remains
