First, my apologies for my absence (and, therefore, taking so long to reply to comments).

I've wanted to host a contest for a while, but couldn't think of a topic.

A friend was recently upset by a comment she received. I know many of you also hate  replies to comments, cookie cutter congrats etc, so I hoped this may be a chance to get it off your chests.  Write about the most hurtful comment you've ever received, or the most irritating, or - on the positive side - the most helpful or even your favourite comment. Please don't mention any person's name.

There aren't any rules to this contest - it's just for fun : )
