Tearful

i'm writing these tearful words
in the hope they'll reach you somehow.

I'm still in shock,
can't quite believe you're gone,
that you suffered for so long,
like some sort of secret.

I couldn't face the funeral
and the box containing the body
of the woman i'd once loved:
your form (that I'd found
so beautiful) to be burned,
entombed with my dead dreams.

May you go to a God
who you no longer believed in...

...and rest in perfect peace.

Dear Jack, a potent emotional outpouring that's deeply touching. "Tearful" indeed, your dead dreams entombed with your beloved.. so resonant, so poignant. A sad beauty, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Hmm Jack. Heartfelt note to a love, buried with your dreams. The last two stanzas are quite powerful. Linda

Jack. This is different from you and so heart felt. Sorry not to be doing emails lately. Now I need to get ready to meet my daughter. See ya
