A New Picture

I have posted a new avatar to reflect that I am older now..The person behind me is our grandson Cody..

I am still not over whatever it is that I caught..I was doing better..I went to the grocery store yesterday and then went to the beauty shop late in the day.Then I coughed all night which I have not done since I have been sick. It started back raining during the night after being cloudy all day and I suppose that the change in weather could be the problem ..

I hope the New Year has been going well for everyone here on soup. I want to do another contest but I am not quite up to dealing with that as of yet. I know I like to find one that gives me a challenge to creative something different outside of the box so to speak..

I hope that each one who reads this has a great day with at least a little humor, a little joy, and little feeling of accomplishment and if possible may it be much more..

I just read way at the bottom of this where you were talking about a tragic accident that happened nearby you. Sorry about that and your cold. gosh, it takes some things like sudden accidents to make us appreciate all the more what we have.

Andrea, The father, uncle, and uncle wife's of the young man that died plus they were all kin ~aunts and uncles of the young man who is still in critical condition came by yesterday afternoon saying they wanted to know what they could about the accident for they needed closure.I really could not help them for I did not see it.It happened so fast that if I had been watching I probably could not have told them what happened.Thanks for dropping by..I am glad that you liked the cartoons..Sara

Ok, sara, I will remember to pay attention to your new Avatar. Cute poems to show how cold it is lately. The hot dog cartoon was so cute!! I got down 15 pounds since September so I am excited to continue on my path back to my old weight from the year 2008. Just ten more pounds to go. It's awesome!!

I am so excited for you with your weight loss..I know that you are pleased..It is no fun having to change the way we eat but we have to do that sometimes..I have gained weight but I am not sure the exact cause other than not being able to do the exercise like I once did..Thanks for dropping by..Sara

I'm so sorry you you've been sick, Sara. I pray you will be well soon. I guess this cold, cold weather we've been having hasn't helped. Take care of yourself and I look forward to when you start up your contests again. I've been in a bit of a writing slump. Love, Kim

Kim, I got out on Tuesday to buy groceries and it was warmer that day but cloudy..It has been back raining and colder since..I am looking forward to spring but we have about another month or 6 weeks before we see a break here where I live..Sorry to hear of the writing slump..I have been there myself because I just don't feel up to reading, writing, and most anything..Sara

Sara I an so sorry you are suffering from the accident. I just lost my 25 year old nephew to a motorcycle accident. Angry at girlfriend, jumped on his bike flew into the back of a car over 100mph and now I must comfort my sister who can't understand why the police said he was drunk! God Bless You, I do understand.

Judy, That has to be just awful for all the family to loose such a young man..I feel for all of you.. The father, an uncle and an aunt of the young man that died came to my home today..I tried to comfort them but of course only time will help heal the raw feelings..Of course, they will never forget..Then the young woman that died mother and step father came by..My husband talked to them.. Sara

Yes, in light of the accident in front of my home last Friday morning where a 22 year old and a 20 year old were killed instantly getting old is a priviledge..Thanks for dropping by..Sara
